Exporting Why is the color so dark

When I am working in AE CS3 the color looks great but when I export it Animation + with RGB Preserved, why does my colors look really dark? Is there a setting I am missing?
I am using an IMac with Intel prossessor. It also looks dark on my boss's HP PC. Oh and yes I am using the render Q

Also take into account that many office PCs are misconfigured, i.e. either forcibly toned down in brightness and contrast or simply because they are of low-price ranges (as obviously you don't need extreme stuff just for typing word documents and doing e-mail) ;-)

  • Why does the color and or tone of my image change?

Why does the color and or tone of my image change after working in LR for a couple of hours? I open LR and everything looks fine - work for a couple of hours on the same shoot - but then the pictures start to look flat or greenish cast as time goes by. All the files get flat and the greenish cast after a couple of hours - the ones already worked on and the newer ones I'm pulling up to work on. RAW files downloaded from a Canon 30D. Also exporting to PSCS2 as PROPhoto results in a flat image. I switched back to export AdobeRGB.

Hola - thanks for the reply - yep - closing and then opening LR helps - but can't do that all the time after processing 3 or 4 files.
One reply was a corrupt monitor color profile - So I deleted that one and loaded a new adobeRGB profile. That helped a little also for a while - I then reloaded my monitor drivers and refreshed them - that help for a day - the greenish cast is back It works fine on my laptop for now. The same pictures that look greenish in LR look great in Canon DPP. So it probably wasn't the color profile or monitor drivers. My issue started with the small scale previews so I bumped that up. Still have the issue. I finished up a project and now going to uninstall and reinstall LR. Let's see what happens with a fresh install. andy.

  • TS4337 Why are the colors for my calendar reseting to a color I never chose?

Why are the colors for my calendar in iCal reseting to a color I never chose?  It won't stay blue when I choose that color and keeps changing to a custom lavendar color on its own....  Incredibly annoying...

There doesn't seem to be a one-size-fits-all answer, because what works for one printer doesn't necessarily work for another, and I don't have your printer so I can't advise on specifics...
However, perhaps we can discover a set of settings that will work...
If you File - Print, choose Photoshop Manages Colors, in the Printer Profile section do you see profiles specific to your printer (e.g., with the name Kodak in them)?
If so, choose one of them that seems appropriate given the paper you're using.
If not, try choosing sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Now, before you continue, press the [Print Settings...] button.  This brings up the printer driver dialog.  You may have to go through [Advanced] buttons or whatever, but what you're looking to do here is to disable the printer driver's color management logic.  In other words, if you can find a color-management / ICC profile handling section, set it to "no color management" or equivalent.  OK back out to Photoshop's print dialog, then press [Print].
The key here is that if Photoshop manages the color transforms, the printer driver should not be set to do so - or vice versa.
If you're presented with the printer driver's dialog again, double check that the settings you chose above are still set, for good measure, and try a test print.

  • Why does the color red change from working with images in develop to library?  The color gets lighter and nothing shows a change on histogram but visually you can see it.

Why does the color red change from working with images in develop to library?  The color gets lighter and nothing shows a change on histogram but visually you can see it.

That's probably a broken display profile. The conversion from Library's Adobe RGB is different than the conversion from Develop's linear ProPhoto, so if there's a problem with the display profile it can show up this way.
Recalibrate, or if you don't have a calibrator use sRGB. If your monitor is a wide gamut model use Adobe RGB.
Assuming Windows, change it in Control Panel > Color Management > Devices, and relaunch Lightroom so that it can pick up the new profile at startup:

  • Why does the color wheel come up when I   I can't get rid of it.

Why does the color wheel come up when I try to open an email? I can't get rid of it unless I sign in again!

The spinning beach ball of death (SBBOD) can be caused by many things. Common causes are not enough RAM, insufficient HD space or another process using a lot of the CPU's power. You can open Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor) for many things including the %CPU column to see if there is an app using a large %CPU. Also click the System Memory tab and see how much FREE RAM it shows. As a general rule your system should have 500MB or more available.
Finally I'd recommend reading and using the Spinning Beach Ball of Death article for additonal troubleshooting steps.

  • Why are the colors (red mostly) in my Press Quality PDF file darker than Original AI file?

    Hi,
I am new to CS5 and have been doing a lot of researching and testing saving AI CS5 files in "Press Quality" PDF format.  When I preview the PDF files in MAC's Preview application (will get Acrobat Reader as well) everything looks nice and crisp, but the colors are a bit on the dark side compared to my original AI files, namely the burgundy.  Needless to say, I am only using CMYK and the resolution has been set to High.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi again John,
Now I am sitting in front of the right computer and I just checked the CMYK profile in AI and it says: North America Prepress 2.  I found the following tutorial on the internet and this guy says that it is best to use a CMYK profile called BEST WORKFLOW which is supposed to accurately display colors across all platforms.  In the tutorial, he also added that if you do not see this profile listed then you should Load (directly from the CMYK profile window) it from your computer.  However, I was unable to locate this profile on my MAC and since this tutorial is based on AI CS2, I am unsure if I can use it.

Which CMYK profile would you recommend that I use?
    Many thanks,

  • Why is the print out darker than the colors on the screen?

This is happening in both Photoshop and Illustrator.  My prints of my work come out darker and grayer than the bright colors on the monitor.  I am on a Mac OSX 10.6.8.
When I adjust the Color Settings from the Edit drop-down in both programs to "Monitor Color" that still doesn't help.  And a dialogue box tells me to fix the problem in Bridge.
Can I fix this problem in Bridge or is this more smoke n' mirrors?
    Thanks!

  • Why is the color changed after export?

    Hi
The colors of my movie change after i export them.
I tried to find the anser on all kind of forums but i believe i'm the only one with this problem.
    My settup:
    Mac 24GB 1333MHz DDR3
    Eizo CG221

    Here are some screenshots.
    I've made no color correction.
If you look at the preview, you see it's saturated and the colors are off. And after the export it's back to the origanal colors.

  • Why are the colors flat converting from pages to pdf

I am working in Pages, creating color flyers and need to print in a PDF format.  After exporting from Papes to a PDF format, my colors look flat and dull.
Why is this happening and can it be corrected?

Most likely you have original images which are RGB (Red/Green/Blue) the color of the glowing pixels of your screen.
A .pdf converts those to cmyk (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black) the colors of a printer. These are reflective colors and do not appear as lively or wide a range as RGB.
There is considerable skill and art to making images look their best in print, I suggest you investigate color management and color correction of images.
The results can be improved by color correction, but ultimately it also depends on the printer and quality of the paper stock. The end result can never look as good on paper as it does on screen, but you can get closer.

  • Exporting: Title Shadows Disappear & Color is Darker/Reddish

I'm using Premiere Pro CS6 v 6.0.3 on a Lenovo W530 w 16 GB Ram and Win7 64 bit. I'm exporting video using Vimeo preset settings H.264 and check the box "Use Maximum Render Quality".
When I'm in the Premiere timeline, I can see the shadows on my titles, however when I export the video, the titles are there without shadows.
Also it appears that the video is exporting much darker and with a reddish tint that is not visible from the export settings preview window.
    Any idea what's happening here?
    Thanks!
    Michelle

I just used a Spyder4 to calibrate my monitors. Unfortunately the problem is still there. It's definately an issue with the export, because I can put the exported file next to the original source in Premiere and the color is drastically different (on the same monitor, side by side).
I think the issue started when I downloaded the upgrade, so I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that helps. In the meantime if anyone else knows how to fix this, please let me know. Thanks!

  • Why does the color on my calendar keeps changing colors on its own

I have several color coded calendars for each family members.  My daugther's calendar all of a sudden changed from green to blue (which is my son's) by itself.  I changed it back to green and it automatically changed back to blue again.   This happened once before a while back and after I keep changing back the color, it corrected itself eventually.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it permanently?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Same problem on top of regularly dropping WIFI when all of my other devices have no problem.
Owned this laptop since FEB 2014. My worst experience with a laptop to date. Wish I'd bought ASUS now which I also considered before buying.Another family member bought ASUS & no issues.

  • Why is the color so saturated in Bridge?

I am using Photoshop CC with Window 7. When I open my raw files in Bridge, the color is very saturated, particularly the red and green. If I click on the image it will return to normal. Anyone has idea why?
    Thanks

I have the same issue. Low volume while using speakerphone function. At 1' (30cm) it measures at almost half the dB of a blackberry pearl speakerphone. Basically renders the speakerphone function unusable in anything but the quietest environments, and even then its questionable. There are several people in the office I work at that have a 3G and 3GS phones. 3G phones tend to be a bit better but still quiet compared to Motorola, Nokia, and Blackberries. The other 3GS phones were just as bad as mine. This is definitely not a user error.

  • Why have the colors changed in Lightroom 5 since the newest 5.3 update?

I have just updated to Lightroom 5.3 and the strangest thing happened.  I went back to my galleries and all the colors are off.  Everything is a little greener and a little warmer.  I had just exported a wedding that I shot a a few days ago anf I went back to change one shot.  I noticed that it didn't match any of the other shots or previous version of that shot.  I am an Olympus shooter (OMD E-M1) and I know that Adobe just added new Olympus profiles into Lighroom for the first time.  I am not using any of those profiles, just the Adobe Standard profile.  I am still experiencing a color shift.  Can anyone help with this?  I am running an 2011 Imac w/ Maverick, 12gigs RAM, SSD Boot Disc.  I didn't have any problem until the update.  I don't know how to get the colors back that I adjusted the images to.  It is not an easy fix.  Not just WB or tint, it is somehting in the profile.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

A number of Adobe Standard camera profiles were updated on December 2, 2013, including the Olympus E-M1 Adobe Standard.dcp profile. The original  profile for the Olympus E-M1 was marked "preliminary," which may explain what you're seeing with the final profiles in LR5.3.
What do the images look like if you select one of the new 'Camera' profiles such as Camera Standard, Camera Neutral, etc.? If that looks good you can change all of the affected images to use one of the new camera profiles.
Someone on LR5.2 can perhaps post the preliminary Olympus E-M1camera profile for download here, but ultimately you will want to switch-over to the new profiles.
Make a virtual copy of one of the images that look bad and hit the master Develop Reset–How does it look with only the LR defaults applied?
