Yes, it's clear now...
I would say you will have to maintain both infrastructure for a while...
You can proxy the external web service entry points via OSB as I told you before, this way you can migrate the services from .NET to Oracle SOA gradually without affecting your customers, as they will always point to Oracle SOA, never to .NET infra.
Cheers,
Vlad

Need idea : Integration of CRM On Demand web services with Oracle SOA 10g
Hi Al,
Can anyone have any idea on integration of CRM on Demand Web service with Oracle SOA 10g specially BPEL 10g.
If you have any idea please share with us. Or if you know any good link on the same... please let me know.....
Thanks in advance
DebarshiAFAIK there is no such mapping available, however you may want to take a look at this Support Community thread that discusses the migration and even gives some samples.

Quartz Scheduler in Oracle SOA 10g clustered environment
Hi,
I was able to successfully test the usage of Quartz scheduler in our Oracle SOA 10g dev environment. Our dev is single instance where as our Test and Prod are clustered. I would like to know if the scheduler works in clustered environment. I wasn't able to find any documentation specific to Quartz for Bpel. If it can be done can you provide some guidance.
I really appreciate your help
Jagan.Jagan
The schedulers do work on cluster environment. The trick is that every node has its oc4j containers, so you will need to deploy the scheduler process to every node in the cluster.
Suppose you have two nodes, and have a requirement to run certain process every two hours. You schedule the process in DEV environment to run every two hours. But in cluster you will specify to run every four hours on both the nodes. In simple explanation, node 1 will fire the process at 0,4,8, ... hours and node 2 will fire at 2, 6, 10, ... hours. So, the result is that your process is still running every two hours.
Hope this will help ... -
Integrating Oracle eBusiness Suite with banking services using Oracle SOA
Hi ,
I am working on a project for integrating Oracle eBusiness Suite with banking services using Oracle SOA. We have implemented Oracle SOA and trying to call bank's services using SOA.
The bank has provided its web services over http which accepts XML data as string through HTTPS post invocation and provides response accordingly in string XML Data.
For each service, specific format of request and response message has been provided.
I am trying to call their web services using HTTP binding adapter.
I would like to know whether my approach of calling bank's web service using HTTP binding adapter is correct or not.
Looking ahead for your valuable insight and advice.
ThanksHi,
Thank you for your reply.
Is the usage of B2B not applicable for this project ?

Hi All,
I am using Oracle SOA 10g (10.1.3.4). I wanted to know, who logged in into system and what time.
Is this possible to get this info?
Thanksdo you use Fnd_profile.value('USER_ID') in 9i/10g? It can't be invoked in 6i, or I might miss something in my 6i.
USER is Reports User/Runner, or whoever run the report rdf. -

How to Integrate Oracle Jdeveloper11g with the Oracle Soa 10g
Hi All
Does any one have idea how to Use Oracle Jdeveloper 11g with Oracle Soa 10g as Application/Integration Server?
My Requirement is need to create/access the business rules with the Oracle Jdev 11g using Oracle SOA Suite10g. We don't want to migrate our SOASuite from 10g to 11g, Just migrating Jdev from 10g to 11g
ThanksHi James
Thanks for your quick reply. In addition to my previous question. Can you please tell me how to deploy web applications in Oracle Jdev 11g to stand alone application server?
In Eariler Version i.e Jdev 10g & SOA Suite 10g, What we used to do is, Start up the SOA Suite, Create the Application Server and Integration Server Connections in the Jdev and simply deploy WAR or EAR to the Oracle Application Server.
What I observed in Jdev11g, It has BEA Weblogic embaded into this. Is there any way in Jdev 11g something like in Jdev10g? Or Do we need to wait till SOA Suite 11g released into the market?

CAVS step by step guide Oracle SOA 10g
Hello,
Is there any step by step guide or tutorial available for CAVS in Oracle SOA 10g ?
thanks.Hello Veeru,
I have followed the development guide. But unable to find the problem Actually I have a TestProvider that calls some dbAdapter. Can we simulate DbAdapter and Test our ABCProvider accordingly?? How can we configure AIAConfiguration File? Following is my entry
<ServiceConfiguration serviceName="{http://xmlns.oracle.com/TestProvider}TestProvider">
<Property name="Default.SystemID">default</Property>// Where it comes from ? Do i need to configure it @ where ??
<Property name="Routing.dbAdapter.RouteToCAVS">true</Property>
<Property name="Routing.dbAdapter.CAVS.EndpointURI">http://......./AIAValidationSystemServlet/syncresponsesimulator?simid=1015</Property>
<Property name="Routing.dbAdapter.default.EndpointURI"> ??? Which URL Do i need to provide ? dbAdapter or TestProvider .. While dbAdapter don't have soap request response message. Its just have wsdl that we can't test in SOAPUI </Property>
</ServiceConfiguration>
I think Simulator is unable to pick the changes from the AIAConfiguration file or might be i am giving something wrong in the file. Could you please tell me I am using Oracle SOA 10g. -
Hi all,
I kindly ask if it's possible to expose a REST web service with PI to be called from an external application.
I've created many scenarios in wich I created a SOAP service (from service interface) in PI and I was able to call the service from an external application (e.g. SOAPUi).
Is it possible to make the same thing exposing a REST service (the url should contain parameters).
I've seen some discussions and blogs with examples of usage of "SOAP Axis" but it seems it's be possible only to invoke an external service.
Is it possible also to create a REST web-service?
If yes could you please provide examples or step-by-step procedure?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Stefano.Hi Stefano,
please check the below link where REST adapter key features.
>>>I kindly ask if it's possible to expose a REST web service with PI to be called from an external application.
It can be used to expose internal applications as REST services or to consume external REST services by calling these services from SAP PI.

RESTful Service on Oracle BPM 11g
Is it possible to integrate a RESTful Service to the Oracle BPM? If yes, are there any examples for the integration?
Typically you would use a Message Start event to start the process in conjunction with a Message End event. This will allow your process to be called as an asynchronous web service.
In the "Implementation" section for the start event, you specify the input parameters. You can specify "Define Interface" to directly define the interface, or use an existing interface from the BPM Catalog (the From Catalog option).
For further details on the different event types and their use cases, refer to the modeling and implementation guide:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15176/toc.htm
You can test the web service and examine the WSDL and endpoints by using FMW control (Enterprise Manager). In the menu on the left hand side: expand SOA -> SOA-Infra -> <Partition Name> -> Composite Name, then click the "Test" button at the top. -
Calling web service from oracle forms 10g
Problem Description:
I'm following the steps as per the doc:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/howto/webservicefromforms/ws_10_1_3_from_forms.html
to create a java stub to call external web service and then use java importer in oracle forms to call this web service from oracle forms.
WSDL for external web service used is http://gend:83/DesignService.svc?wsdl
The service was developed by us.
Calling the web service using JDeveloper works fine but when I complie in Oracle Forms it returns wrong number of types of arguments in call SENDHELLO.
The code from oracle form to call web service is as below:
DECLARE
jo ora_java.jobject;
xo ora_java.jobject;
rv varchar2(2000);
ex ora_java.jobject;
str varchar2(100);
BEGIN
jo := GendServiceClient.new;
rv := GendServiceClient.sendHello('Nora');
EXCEPTION
WHEN ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR then
message('Unable to call out to Java, ' ||ORA_JAVA.LAST_ERROR);
WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then
ex := ORA_JAVA.LAST_EXCEPTION;
message(Exception_.toString(ex));
END;
Any help/ideas on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Edited by: KE Nora Loera on Jun 1, 2012 1:24 PMMy primary skill is PL/SQL but the only information I found on Oracle's site to call a web service from a 10g Form was creating a jar file and importing the java class. Since I don't want to ask our corporate IT to make changes on the UNIX box for the jar files I went a different route.
I use UTL_HTTP.BEGIN_REQUEST to call a URL then load I load the data to a table as a CLOB since we have more than 4000 characters. Now I need to parse the XML and load it into a form. I have never done this so if there is a helpful site please let me know. I have looked at several sites but none do what I want.

Exception when calling web service from Oracle forms 10g
Hi All,
I am trying to integrate Oracle Forms 10g(V 10.1.2.0.2.) with Web Services.
There is a java class named 'authenticate' which is generated using Oracle JDeveloper.
This class is included in the forms application by using "Import Java Class" feature.
Forms built the following funtion based on that class:
-- Method: authenticate (Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/String;
FUNCTION authenticate(
obj ORA_JAVA.JOBJECT,
a0 VARCHAR2,
a1 VARCHAR2) RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
BEGIN
args := JNI.CREATE_ARG_LIST(2);
JNI.ADD_STRING_ARG(args, a0);
JNI.ADD_STRING_ARG(args, a1);
message('here1');
RETURN JNI.CALL_STRING_METHOD(FALSE, obj, 'mypackage/AuthenticatorWebServiceServiceStub',
'authenticate', '(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/String;', args);
message('here2');
END;
However when the above code is invoked it shows the message 'here1' on the form and then throws the following exception: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.ClassCastException
Please suggest me what's wrong with the code. I appreciate your time and help.
Thanks,
Scott.My primary skill is PL/SQL but the only information I found on Oracle's site to call a web service from a 10g Form was creating a jar file and importing the java class.
Thanks
