Express Server 6.3.4 error 40

Hi,
I downloaded Personal Experss 6.3.4 to my computer and installed it on Win 2000 Server but everytime that the service try to start, it terminates with error 40.
In the Server is installed also Oracle Database 9.2.0.1.

You need to reset the password for the guest role in your Express configuration to match the actual password on your system. You may need to do the same for init and dba accounts.

Based on my knowledge, the error “unhandled exception has occurred in your application” always happens along with the following message when installing SQL Server 2008 R2:
“An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for userSettings/Microsoft.SqlServer.Configuration.LandingPage.Properties.Settings: Could not load file or assembly 'System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. “
If you encounter such issue, please perform the following steps to solve it.
1.Go to your app data directory by going to start > run > %appdata% .
2.This will by default take you to the "roaming" folder, go up one directory and move into the "Local" folder.
3. Go to the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.
4. Delete the relevant folders from the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.

Oracle Express Server v.6.3.1.0 installation problem

I downloaded oes6301nt.exe - Oracle Express Server - NT (118MB) from the Oracle web site, unzipped it and start using Universal Installer to install it for stage/product.jar. I specified Oracle Home as OraExpress81 and path as F:\Oracle Express\olap and chose a typical installation.
At about 98% completion, I got an error: Invalid Search Spec or no DLLs found F:\Oracle*.dll on a error meassge box with an OK button. I clicked the OK button and the installation went to 100% and gave me a message "The installatio of Oracle Express Server was successful. I then re-booted the machine.
But when I tried to run the Express Instance Manager, it wouldn't start. It just blinked for 5 sec then quited.
I checked the programs, the installed programs are:
Program -> OracleExpress81 ->Application Development ->INTYPE File Assistant
NetWork Administration -> Net8 Assistant
Net8 Configuration Assistant
Net8 Easy Config
Express Instance Manger
Express Server 6.3.0 -> Express Instance Manager
Express Language reference
Could you please tell me what could probably be wrong with the installation. Thanks for your help in advance.

SQL Server 2012 installation problem (error server didn't respond in timely fashion ....)

Hi everyone,
I am new to SQL server....I am learning C# programming using visual studio 2013 . And I want to learn SQL database language to create and practice C# database project....My computer meets all the hardware requirement for SQL installation (i.e. My computer
has window 7 OS , 80 GB freen HD and 6 GB RAM. ) Therefore I download Microsoft SQL server express 2012 try to install it in my computer (which already has visual studio).
But during installation of SQL server I have problem ...it says
the server doesn't respond in timely fashion. When I research about it everyone were saying uninstall sql and reinstall again. I uninstall and re install but still having same problem...
The database engine also not installed displaying same error.
I don't know how can i install sql server 2012 to use with visual studio in same computer.
Can somebody please help with SQL installation please ?

REPORTS6i to Express Server- Connection

Express Query(Reports to Express Server)
I am tring to connect from reports6i to Express server.
I had set up the client connections and was able to attach the demo database.
I had loaded the libraries and created the objects as per the readme_solaris_8i.doc.(I wan not able to change the listner as it fails to start after making the changes).
I have my express server on WINDOWS NT and made all these setups on my Solaris unix box where my oracle application DB is. Is this okay.
I am getting Failed to Open Connection to Express Server ORA-200002 error.
Any suggestions

Rodney, I figured it out. A few weeks ago my wife had some keychain issues I was not able to resolve right away. To keep her happy (until I have time to change the settings) I changed the Firewall from "set access to specific services .." to "allow only essential services". I just recalled this, and switching back to the former firewall setting which did solve this server problem.
Thanks again for your voodoo (it got me thinking again about the keychain issue and what I did at that time).

Express Server 6.3.4 Web Security

Unable to use security for Web connection to Express Server.
Upgraded from Express/Web 6.3.3 to 6.3.4. All features worked fine in 6.3.3. Install was OK, and without error. Databases migrated OK. Using Win 2K Server,SP4.
Express Server 6.3.4 works fine, and all Express Client, (i.e. Objects, Administrator, Web Publisher, etc.) security/authentication features & settings work as documented, except Web Publisher.
Web Publisher works fine except "Grant Access" - can no longer list users from NT domain for addition to web site access list. List now only contains local server accounts. Saw all user accounts in the domain with 6.3.3.
With Express security "None", web applications, (i.e. web admin, web publisher and web-sites) work fine. With any other Express/Web Agent security settings, user log on fails with user account/password error dialog.
Have installed xseng_1302,xssessit_1307,xssec_1278B with the same results.
What needs to be done to regain Express security and "Grant access" domain capability for Express Web?

Correct the "Port Number" in Application Manager-Database Setup. This
value is the RoListenPortNumber setting in Express Instance Manager, Parameters-
Identifiers-More.
In thin client mode, the "Port Number" number is only available with
the RPC Protocol: Remote Operations (ora_ro_tcp).

About express server's problem

i've installed express server6.3.4 on hp-ux 11i.
I can use RAA to login in the express server.
but i can't user batch manager.
The error message is
"The Selected Express Server Does Not Have the Batch Job Manager Server Installed"
i've searched metalink and found some Solution.

I would recommend that you work with Support on this. However, it does sound like you only need to install Batch Manager on the Express Server side.

What's the Problem While Installing Oracle Express Server/Client On P-IV System

Hi,
Please let me know if there is any problem with the Pentium-4 systems while installting the Oracle Express or the Client Software. I baught a P4 system and MS Windows 200 is installed.
When I run the setup for the Oracle express server or oracle express client, Only the Hour Glass pops up for few second and nothing happens. Even there is no error message displayed.
I enquuired to one of the Local Software Service centre and was told that Oracle products are facing problm with Pentium -4 .
If it is so Please suggest me waht to do....

Oracle Express Server wont start after install

Hi all,
For my sins I have to support an Oracle Express Server and am trying to get the software installed on my Dell latitude d630 laptop, am running XP SP2. When I start the service it fails and writes this to the logs :-

So looks like it can't login as OESguest. I checked the users and I cant find this user.

When you install express it creates three users i.e. oesdba,oesinit and oesguest. if it doesnt exists then try to create manually and see if you are able to up the express.
change the password for oesguest at operating system level and check.

Because this error message is open, I can't do anything in iCal. Any suggestions on how I could kill this error message? Thanks.

Basically i tried to enter too much information into my calendar and it has crashed now i can not get rid of the error message or use the calendar can anyone help please

"The Server Responded With An Error"

Y'day I was pasting details of a reserv into ICAL. it was perhaps too much data. As soon as I clicked to paste, I got msg "The Server Responded With An Error" & below that was the info I was copying into my calendar. Then calendar froze. Then "Force Quit", then reopen Ical & the same msg appears and frozen. I attempted to drag the msg to trash to no avail. I rebooted computer. Everything else is working on my MacBookPro. I do NOT have Lion. Thks

That sounds like something went wrong in the database the governs syncing.
Restore from your backup to restore your calendar.
Reset your sync history: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iSync/3.1/en/9247.html and then follow the steps:
Go into iCal > Preferences > Accounts and delete the MobileMe account from here.
If you are using it you can then re-add it and be careful to enter in the correct name and password.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

Check the parameters in your email account against what is recommended by your email provider.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > account
