Expresscache 1.3.0 install/uninstall error

I uninstalled Expresscache 1.3.0, but when I try & re-install, it trys to uninstall again, gets to 15% & then fails with error 1605 (see attached image). I've also tried re-installing 1.2.1 & updating, but it fails with the same error. The original installation of 1.3.0 was done via the update function in Expresscache. How do I stop this error/completely remove previous versions so I can re-install 1.3.0? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56159307/InstallError.png

Try this:
look under: C:\Program Files\Condusiv Technologies\ExpressCache
if it is empty:
1. Reboot your system.
2. Go under:
   for 64bit system:   C:\Program Files (x86)\SanDisk\
   for 32bit system:   C:\Program Files\SanDisk\
3. Delete the ExpressCache folder
4. open the registry: run regedit.exe
5. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SanDisk\
6. Delete ExpressCache
7. Run ExpressCacheSetup. It should install.
if it not empty:
8. Open Programs and Features
9. Uninstall ExpressCache (not ExpressCacheApp)
10. Now go to step 1. (reboot your system)
Let me know which one worked for you.

  • Java Install - Uninstall - Error 1723 Problems

So, Java is nice ... most of the time, but lately, not so much. I wrote [this page|http://panocea.us/JavaBlues/] to document the problem... and maybe, eventually, its solution.
    OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit; Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600
Problem presents itself about a month ago with numerous jucheck messages popping up and then in being unable to install the (then) most recent version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) v6 Update 23 and then additionally, being unable to uninstall an earlier version... the name of which seems most curiously misreported under Control Panel -> Programs and Features, but its installation of 9.5.2010 remains the same - study screen shots below and you'll note this peculiarity. This earlier version is stubborn and refuses to be uninstalled - even after booting in Windows Safe Mode.
More details and screen shots here:
    http://panocea.us/JavaBlues/
Any encouragement shared or light shed will be very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Kelly

I had the same problem as described above, so I contacted Windows tech support and the guy deleted the Java Registry entries and that did the trick. Apparently one of the entries was corrupted.Strangely enough, that was exactly what I was going to suggest. Chalk another one up to the wonderful Windows registry.

  • Error trying to install/uninstall iTunes

I recently got the new iPod 5th gen and I need to update my iTunes in order to put my music on it.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
See also HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP or HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • Tried to upgrade and after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, keep getting "procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  Error 7.....Help, please??

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library"  followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  "Error 7".    Help, please??

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run

Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run. No error code. It just says it encountered an error and must exit.

I located a previous response that satisfied my issue. Below is the process that allowed me to use quicktime.
The "fatal error" in this context has (recently) been indicating trouble with old, misplaced QuickTime componentry lurking about in your system.
(Whether or not the message is a symptom of that problem seems to depend on what version of old misplaced stuff is lurking and what version of QuickTime proper we're trying to install or uninstall ... but in recent times, there's been an uptick in fatal errors being caused by that.)
So let's try investigating that possibility first.
First we'll adjust some view settings on the PC.
    1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
    2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    3. Click the View tab.
    4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" option is unchecked.
    5. Click OK.
Now in "My Computer" open Local Disk C: (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
    Open the "Windows" folder.
    Open the "System32" folder.
What files or folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the file or folder name? (In a standard installation of QuickTime, you should see precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

  • Server manager hangs on collecting data, i can't install/uninstall any applications, mmc works on random, no errors in any logs

Hi, ive been searching around for for 4-5 hours on google and here and I'm turning a bit desperate
I rebooted the server today, and after that it just hangs on collecting data, mmc stuff works on random, I got evenviewer open, and checked system and application, but it only showed exchange alerts etc, according to itself, everything is fine, which is it not, I can't goto control panel, can't install/uinstall software, cant run windows update, can't connect via RDP etc.
I tried misc solutions I found, like this
    1. Click Start->Run...->type msconfig and press Enter
    2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable All third party Services.
    3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items
    4. Click OK and choose Restart
but msconfig just hangs when I click OK.
    server is a DL380G5 with 64 bit

    Hi,
First I would like to confirm the following points:
    1.    Had any changes been made on the computer before the issue began to occur, such as an installation or upgrade?
    2.    Does any error message appear or does it just hang when opening Control Panel, install/uninstall software, run Windows Update, connect RDP?
    3.    Have you installed any anti-virus programs on the computer?
First let’s delete the Server Manager cache files in C:\Windows\System32\ServerManager\Cache.
If it still hangs, I suggest booting into Safe Mode.
Please restart the computer, keep pressing F8 and enter Safe Mode.
Does the hanging issue also occur in Safe Mode? If not, let’s try the steps below in Safe Mode again:
    1. Click Start->Run->type msconfig and press Enter.
    2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable All third party Services.
    3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items.
    4. Click OK and choose Restart.
What’s the result in Normal Mode now?
If the issue persists, please boot into Safe Mode and run your anti-virus programs perform a complete virus scan.
If the issue still occurs after scanning for viruses, please send the System Inforamtion to me for further research:
    1. Press Start, type in msinfo32 in the Start Search bar and then press Enter.
    2. Choose Save from the File menu and save it as an NFO file.
    3. Find the file, right-click on this file, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder".
    4. Upload the compressed file to me from the following site:

Assuming that you are in Win (which you haven't said), you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of previous versions of Reader:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
and run it immediately after restarting your computer.

  • Error installing/uninstalling itunes help please

    hello,
got the latest itunes, and recently i had some hd troubles, so i had to restore my system from acronis (restored the partition using a backup i created).
i try starting itunes and it doesn't want to work. i try installing/uninstalling and it doesn't want to work either.
    i get this message:
"The folder path "My Pictures" contains an invalid character."
i tried restoring 'My documents' to it's original and default locations, but i can't seem to get itunes to run.
any1 know how to fix this ? thanks.

It's a simple fix and doesn't involve reinstalling anything.
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libxml2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "libxml2.dll"
    3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Paste file "libxml2.dll" to the location.
    5. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

    Hey sndlot,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
    Regards,
    Delgadoh
