EXS sounds missing

I'm missing exs factory sounds in Logic pro, how(which disks) to reinstall?

Hi....Thank you for responding. Well I have checked manually throughout the identifiable folders and I've searched by creation/modification date. As I mentioned I was only missing exs sounds, but what led to me believe there were duplicates was the fact that I had 70+gigs of free space on the drive before the reinstall, but only 50+ after. Any thoughts on that?

EXS File missing in Logic Pro 9: Unisyncl.wav and Unisynch.wav

Hi to everybody!
I just installed logic pro 9 and this is my first experience with logic.
Using it I noticed that some files are missing. These files are: Unisyncl.wav and Unisynch.wav.
Searching the internet I discovered that those files belong to logic 8 and are located in the folder:
/Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples/05 Synthesizers/04 Sequence Elements/Spectrum Stack 01/UniSyncH.wav
/Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples/Analog Samples/Spectrum SQ/UniSyncH.wav
Please someone can send me them by mail or internet hosting service?

Logic 8 library sounds missing!

Hi everyone,
Please bear with me as i am a Logic newbie!
I recentley bought a PPC G5 (second hand) and it came with Logic 8 installed. After I recieved it i noticed that all of the library sounds are missing! Obviously i do not have the content disks to reinstall. Im gutted because the whole reason i bought it was for logic...
I have lots of EXS sampler instruments but the library tab is empty and there are no loops or anything whatsoever.
Is there anything i can do?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sound missing after installing windows 8.1 pro.

Sound missing from half of One Step DVD

I have tried a couple times to make a one step DVD directly from my mini DV tape camera. I've done this plenty before and do not know why, but this time the sound is missing from the last half of the DVD. It is on the tape, but not the DVD.

*No audio on DVD disc.*
Most common origin.
1 Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
• Use this in Your movie project
2 Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
• Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
3 Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple Disk Util tool
• OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

Sony Cybershot T100 sound missing in iphoto

got my sony T100, when downloading a video into iphoto the sound track is missing. sony customerservice tells me that apple will supply me with a codex for mpg vx, apple has no idea how to solve the problem. can anyone help, please?

Javax.sound missing with Fedora Core 3 linux's java compiler?

I'm running Fedora core 3, and I did a complete install(selected all the packeges). I have the java compiler that FC3 installed. I can compile most things, but I seem to be missing the sound package/folder.
This leads to an error when I try to import the sound libraries.

//simple non-working example
import javax.sound.*;
class sounds
//end code
results in the error "The import javax.sound cannot be resolved"
I am trying to run a code snippet from javaAlmanac, and of course it won't work. Today, a friend of mine had the exact same problem on a windows machine using JDK 1.5.
I'm going to test this code out on a windows machine also.
Are there issues with the FC3 java compiler?
Has anyone else run into and solved this issue?
I'm considering copying the sound folder from some other Java installation, anyone try this?

I'm pretty new at this myself. I've also installed Fedora Core 3 on an AMD 64. When I do the same uname - a I get:
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.9-1.667 #1 Tue Nov 2 14:50:10 EST 2004 x86_64 x8 6_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Maybe you didn't install as 64 bit ?
I've also successfully installed Jave Runtime Environment. java -version gets me:
java version "1.4.2_08"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_08-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_08-b03, mixed mode)
I'd suggest installing 32 bit. I can't tell the difference when I run programmes that use 64 or 32 bits - it will be just as good.

Some sounds missing in Windows 8.1

Hi...Some months ago, I downloaded an update for IDT High def codecs via Windows Update in Windows 8. . Soon thereafter, I noticed that some sounds in some games were missing. I rolled back the drivers and the sounds were working again. Now with Windows 8.1 these sounds are missing again because 8.1 comes standard with the updated drivers. I would like to install the previous drivers but don't know where to find them. Or, if there is a workaround, i would sure appreciate any help anyone can give me.

EXS samples missing

In particular: Funk Horn Section, but some others too. The folders containing the relevant samples are all empty. Any clues? Its the same on my MBP and my Mac Pro.
9.1.1, 2010 Mac Pro octocore, 8gig and i7 MBP 4gig.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Sounds missing

The problem I ran into is that when I try to load an instrument (nothing particularly) Logic just can't find the sound files needed to open the instrument.It happened so with some Garageband songs as well which I wanted to open in Logic but some instruments where missing because of this issue.
Any ideas?

Why do some of my songs have sound missing when on bluetooth?

It doesn't happen to every song, but when I use my iPhone in my car it seems to be missing certain instruments, most notably on tracks that go from left to right. Instead of having it in both channels it is eliminating one of the instruments, usually on the left channel. This does not happen if it is plugged into a pair on headphones, only on the Bluetooth. Everything was fine until I started using iTunes Match, it does it on matched songs that were redownloaded to the iPhone. It is crazy annoying because it sounds like a bad demo version, that is in some songs literally sounding like half of a song.
Facts:
iPhone 4s 64GB
2012 VW Passat
Yes iTunes match is used and the songs have been downloaded to the iPhone locally
Yes I have unpaired the Bluetooth and deleted it from the car and iPhone just in case

It looks like sound from the left channel isn't working on that headunit, the thread has a few ways you can avoid the problem.
You'll probably have to wait for an update to iOS or your VW's stereo.

Lumia 925 Cyan: All alarm sounds missing

Hi,
has anyone else yet counter a problem with missing sounds? Case: Alarm clock didn't woke me this morning. When I checked the phone I noticed that there was no sound from alarm clock, notification or from any other. Adjusted the sound to maximum, no help.
Battery life was running almost out and when I plugged device to charger all sounds came back.
So, be noticed that if you have important meeting in the morning that the device is plugged into charger or it might not sound an alarm to you

Soft reset is not a mandatory step in any update process and in general is not required, however it is a very useful troubleshooting tool for many issues, including potentially the one you have experienced.

A few sounds missing...

iChat sounds and trashcan sounds are missing. Also, a few other pings or dongs that alerted me. I checked the prefs and everything seems proper.

Open /Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup
Select Built-In Output
Set the Format to 44100Hz at 2ch-16bit
Close Audio MIDI Setup
or
Open and close GarageBand

Sound missing on some files after import from DV camcorder

Hi everyone,
As a new user to Macs grateful if you can help.
When importing to imovie 08 from a DV tape, some clips go fine, others are then missing the audio. Also some clips have audio and playback OK initially, then have audio missing after closing and re-opening imovie. Is this a bug? What should I do? Many thanks

I had a simular problem. To solve it I went about 5 seconds into the footage and started importing from that point, not the start of the tape.
What caused the prob? My only guess is the tape I was using was fairly used and right at the start of my tape I had some old footage for less than a second. When the new footage kicked in the sound went.
