Extended notifications problem

Hi experts,
I am trying to configure extended notifications for around 7 to 8 different taks
pertaining to different workflows.
I could successfully do it for 1 task.
Then after successful testing I did add more filters to the same configuration
under same subscription and delivery.
I even created new schedules for the new filters. But unfortunately it is not working.
I could debug the standard program SWN_SELSEN and found that the particular WAPI call to
select the delta Work Items from SWWWIHEAD and SWWWIHIST is failing because of some
timestamp mismatch.
Can you please provide me some help regarding this ?

You can find all the definitions and theories in the SAP Help link provided in the same blog.
I initially followed the above and could successfully do it for 1 task.
However, I was stuck in achieving the same for multiple task belonging to different workflows.
Here is how I did it:
1) Do the configuration in SWNCONFIG as per the blog and SAP Help
     A) Create your own delivery schdule
     B) Create your own subscription using the above delivery schedule
     C) Create your own filters
     D) Create your own selection schedule
2) Then run the report SWN_SELSEN to do the actual selection and delivery based on the schedules    you created.
The key is creating the filters. Follow the SAP Help link closely and try it. If you face any problems
the please let me know.

Portege m700 Tablet Extended Desktop Problem

I've looked all over and can't find a good answer to this, so I figured I'd better check with the source! I have a Toshiba Portege m700 tablet PC, which has an LCD monitor connected using the digital cable.
I have the external monitor set as my primary, with the notebook monitor set as the secondary, providing extra desktop real estate to the right of the first monitor.
The problem is that when I use the touchscreen, the mouse controls are only active on the primary monitor (the external one). What I'd like to do is have the external monitor be primary, the notebook monitor be secondary, and be able to drag items to the notebook and use ink, or onenote, or other touchscreen apps on there. I want the touchscreen to control ONLY the secondary (notebook) monitor. Is this possible?
It seems like there should be some way to just instruct the computer to map the touchscreen to the secondary monitor instead of always just mapping to the primary.
However, if there is not, what I did experiment with is having the notebook as primary and the external as secondary, and then using some sort of multimonitor software to manage the taskbar and such to create the illusion of the external monitor being primary. The problem here is that while the notebook is 1280 x 800 resolution, the external monitor is capable of 1280 x 1024, but when set as secondary will go no higher than 1280 x 800. Is there a way to force the external monitor to run in 1280 x 1024 if I'm using it as the secondary?
Is this something for which I need an updated graphics driver? I tried to get a newer version of the Intel GMA, but it actually removed all extended desktop options for me, so I rolled it back. The version it's running is 6.14.10.4837.
Thank you in advance for anyone pointing me to any driver updates, configuration directions, or external software that can effectively manage all these options of extended desktop, screen resolution, and what monitor is assigned to touchscreen control!

I've just tested the "Extended Desktop for Tablet PC" powertoy, and that doesn't solve this problem. With the tablet set as the secondary monitor, when I move the window onto that screen, it just recurses the image over itself, which isn't really useful.
No one has any other ideas about this?

IMac 27" extended desktop problems

Hi!
I own a 2011 iMac 27" and I am having issues using a Samsung SyncMaster T240M display as extended desktop.
It works fine when I am just using the computer for a while, but if the displays go to sleep mode, when I return to the computer the iMac display restores right away but then the Samsung display starts to go on and off repeatedly until it finally stays on, but then all my applications are on the iMac display.
It is pretty much like what would happen if I had unplugged the monitor and plugged it back in.
Is there a way to fix this or do I just have to live with that? Has anyone experienced the same problem with other displays? Maybe this Samsung display is not syncing well with the iMac?
Anyway, any help will be very much appreciated.

If the machine is covered by warranty or even better by AppleCare then contact AppleCare. They will be able to do in-home service if you are within 50 miles of an AASP. You will have to request this service but they will do it.

Extended search problem in SRM

Hi,
We have a problem with extended search in SRM while checking the status.
In Status
If I have selected 'Awaiting approval' and clicked on start button, now it is showing all the SC of awating approvals status.
If I have selected 'In approval inbox' and clicked on start button, now it is showing all
the SC of 'In your Inbox' & 'Awaiting approval' status.
If I have selected both 'In your inbox' in status and check 'Bought on Behalf of' and clicked on start button, now it is showing the SC's of 'Awaiting approval' and normal SC(without creating with on behalf of).
What might be the issue. How to solve.
Any OSS Notes available for this issue.

Hi Jagan,
If your SC is considered as complete by SRM (but with a fixed vendor and not a preferred vendor) the system will check if it can create a PO in R/3.
For this, each item will request a META_INTERPRETE_DATA to R/3, asking if it can create a PO. If R/3 considers this data as incomplete, it will reply to create a PR.
Usual cases of R/3 PR creation instead of PO:
- prefered vendor in SRM (and not a fixed one)
- custom checks in user exits in R/3
- error messages in R/3 (ex: O6 334 In the case of a fixed vendor, please enter info record)

HELP! Photoshop CS5 to CS5 Extended Install PROBLEM!

I had photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 since they came out. I just recently (November of 2011)upgraded to Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5, those installs went OK, I did forget my login info but a call to Adobe got that all figured out.
Now I only "Play" in photoshop and illustrator at home for my own entertainment, and really barely used the CS2, so I am still just a newbie playing around in photoshop and illustrator.
Anyways, after watching a bunch of Photoshop CS5 Videos, I realized that Photoshop had an "Extended" version with 3D I was unaware of. So I wanted the Extended version, I called Adobe and he said I was 37 days out on my Photoshop CS5, so all I could do now was Buy the Extended version or buy the Upgrade Extended version, since my CS2 was already used for the initial photoshop CS5 upgrade. But since I upgraded my Illustrator CS2 to CS5 a week later he said I could Return that if I wanted.
He brought that up in the convo, not I.
So I Bit the Bullet, AGAIN, and bought the Photoshop CS5 Extended Upgrade to Upgrade the Photoshop CS5 I had just upgraded too.
Let me say this, ALL are Legal Copies ALL Legit. (Before someone says anything about that.) CS5 Photoshop and CS5 Illustrator were bought from Amazon, by Amazon Not one of there outside sellers, and so was the Photoshop CS5 Extended Upgrade.
My Problem is, I cannot Install the Photoshop CS5 Extended? As I am installing it asks for the code, I type it in, then if has two photoshop things listed, one 64 bit and one 32 I believe. But also above them says "Already Installed" with a >! in a white dot. Hovering my mouse over it it says "If you select any of the below to install again it will be installed it the current file location."
I go through the Install and I still have the Regular Photoshop CS5 NOT the Extended Version???
Box and top of the DVD says Photoshop CS5 Extended on them. But the offered install files that are offered on it that say "Already Installed" above them in the installer , Neither one says anything about Extended just ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS5.1 ??
I went to Adobe and talked to a live chat guy but after he took my email and ALL of my serial #'s for ALL of my Photoshop products, had me try installing it again, and then just said I had to Call Adobe Tech. (That was Useless, they should just CLOSE the live chat thing if they can't do anything.)
Anyways, with NO Photoshop CS5 Extended getting installed on my PC Win7 64 bit I3 cpu with 8 gigs of ram, my Adobe Account on my "View Product Registration" Page it now Lists the serial # and info as of 1-1-2012 as having Registered my Photoshop Extended Version 12.0 with all my other registered Adobe software.
So HOW can I get the Extended to actually Install? I Opened the files on the DVD and really don't see anything that even says Extended on any?
I had Amazon OVERNIGHT this Photoshop CS5 Extended Upgrade to me so I could as Bert Monroy says, "Play, just Play it's the best way to Learn Photoshop." over the new years weekend, now I sit here frustrated instead.
Maybe I will email him, maybe he knows what to do, he has always replied to my emails and has Signed my Photoshop books authored by him. (Nice guy very helpful.)

In Help I clicked Deactivate and then see a pop up box with 2 choices, Suspend Activation or Deactivate Permanently.
I hit the Cancel button at the bottom for now.
If this don't work I will Call Adobe on Monday and hopefully get it all worked out, or I will be packing up Both CS5 Upgrades I just bought and send them both back to Amazon for a full Refund.
This should NOT be such a P.I.T.A. just because a few kids hack and use photoshop without actually paying for it.
I am 50 years old BTW, and Paid for my Legit copys, but I gotta jump through Hoops as punishment for a few who don't pay.
Myleniums answer sure sounds like a big pain in the a** to go through and I'd just Return the CS5 stuff, Including the CS5 Illustrator I just upgraded as well. As a Amazon Prime Member they will take it all back and refund me my cash.
As a rare user, just for myself at home, I only Upgraded because I knew Adobe only allowed you to get 3 versions behind before you had to rebuy the full install software all over again so I waited until I thought it was getting close to CS6 coming out and I would Not be able to upgrade at the upgrade pricing. And the CS6 Licensing I read about coming up does NOT appeal to me.
So CS2 or CS5 will be it for me and Adobe. As a Hobbiest I cant afford to do upgrades for each new version. /i heard starting with CS6 you will be Required to upgrade when the very next one comes out, not able to skip a version. Or even some silly monthly fee type thing, Never will I pay a Monthly fee for software use.

CS3 Extended having problems opening image files.

I had a CS3 Master Collection from The Art Institute forced us to buy that I had never opened because Photoshop 7 worked fine & I didn't need all the other crap that came with CS3 in the Master Collection. So I had been using Photoshop 7 for years & years, but when I got a new computer, Photoshop 7 didn't work anymore. If you can't tell me what's wrong with CS3, maybe you can tell me how to get my old 7 working on 64 bit windows?
Getting this stuff out of the way:
*Brand new computer, Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.
*Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection, installed about 3 months ago.
*CS3 Extended was working just fine for 1 or 2 months with no problems.
*Problem: CS3 stops responding or hangs exsessively when opening image files.
*Already tried alt/ctrl/shift reset.
*Already deleted all the printers.
*Already tried the tilde in front of the TWAIN.
*This Master Suite takes like 3 hours to install, so reinstalling is something I'd rather avoid.
*Yes, it's updated.
*Yes, the licence was renewed.

Yeah, I reinstalled. Can't believe I had to go through 4 discs to reinstall one program for the suite.
Reinstalling windows is overkill when" error check," & "SFC /scannow," & "boot repair" are sufficient.
Found out that it WILL work if you don't have a browser window open, but I like to listen to stuff on the net when using photoshop. I dunno why the browser makes photoshop refuse to open or create new images, but it would be helpful to know.
Also, despite not having a printer, the error log seems to indicate that it's part of the problem.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I did defrag after reinstalling. I know someone will bring it up if I don't.

I installed Sonic Extender and at first had no problem with it. Then I connected with a different internet connection and now it will not connect. What is the easiest way to get technical support help. I called and also submitted a request for someone to call me. I had no luck or help with either.

I tried the process you described on my machine using LabVIEW 7.1 and could not reproduce the behavior. If you can clarify the version you were using that will be helpful. I will have to clean a test machine and try it again without LabVIEW installed, and get back with you if the problem appears. In the meanwhile, I found the following KB which, while not referring to the exact same problem you are describing, does address the evaluation message issue. You can try to follow the steps at the end of the KB, and let me know if that worked.

Network extender location problems

I live in Las Vegas Nevada and have to use a network extender due to poor coverage in my area. Problem, when I use the extender, it shows my location as Seaside, California, where I have never been some 500 to 600 miles away. I have an app for betting that requires that I be located in Nevada and not use a wifi connection. Any way to correct the extender to show my actual location?

That's way off! I'm sorry! I want you to be able to use your app! Is the network extender showing a red light for the GPS? Have you tried pulling the power source to restart the device? Let us know!

Extended Network-Problem joining with Extreme

Hello,
I have been using my landlords wireless network from upstairs with no problems on my powerbook but now have got an airport extreme and want to extend the network in my apartment and connect the airport extreme to my printer and stereo.
When I use the airport setup assistant, to extend the network, it goes through all the steps, then, after saying "waiting for airport to reset", it says that "there is a problem joining the network, try using the airport menu". It then disconnects me from the network connection.
The network uses a 10 digit WEP 40/128-bit hex password which I can't change because it is set up in my landlord's apartment. I have a feeling this might be the problem, but don't know how to fix it. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Unless your landlord uses an Airport Extreme Base Station, Airport Express, or one of a couple of non-Apple routers that support the creation of an "extended" network (like the Linksys WRT54G) your plan is simply not possible.
You could configure the Airport Express to simply "join" this wireless network. However, anyone else in the building connected to this wireless network would also have access to your printer, and the additional traffic from everyone else on the network might create problems with iTunes streaming to your Airport Express.

Interfaces Extending Interfaces Problem?

I have a problem that could effect anyone who is using interfaces that extends other interfaces.
Check this out:
If I have an interface IHuman that extends three interfaces IMortal, ILimbed and IHealth:

The functions are all over the place, it becomes an interface pasta! Now, I dont know if there is a preference for this. But I have been looking all day, and I have found no solution to this code generation problem.
This is not helpful code generation, it simply throws the interfaced functions around in your class, and becomes a real hastle to re-organize.
Does anyone have a solution to this really odd code generation problem?

My question is not to inherit the interface or not. It is about the generation of code from an inherited interface. Why is it that when I inherit an interface that exdends other interfaces, that it does not generate the code in order of the extended interfaces.
My question is basicaly this, why does the inherited interface get interwoven with it self when I impliment it in a class.

Bonjour,
J'ai un problème avec la 3D dans Photoshop Extended. J'avais la 3D jusqu'à récemment, le problème c'est que certaines options restaient grises. J'ai donc réinitialisé les paramètres de Photoshop, et depuis, je n'ai plus du tout la 3D. Elle s'active à la réinitialisation, mais elle disparait lors de la remise en route de Photoshop.
Que faire?

I have a problem with the 3D Menu in Photoshop Extended. I had the 3D Menu before, but the problem is that some options were unavailable. I reset the Photoshop's parameters and then, 3D is totally unavailable. At every reset it works, but disappears at the next start.
What I have to do?

Then I'm not sure.
The 3D menu is only shown if you have a serial number for extended.
And the only way some of the 3D features can be disabled is if the video card can't support them.
The only other thing I could guess is a third party plugin, or something wrong with the system, that is messing up menus.

Extended TextBox Problem

Experts:
We are having a problem with Extended TextBoxes.
When we 'hover' over an Extended Text box that contains multiple lines of text
in "OK" mode (not in update mode) a long single line text box can appear with the 1st part of the data from the box.   When this happens the data in the box will be 'hidden'. The text will reappear if you 'click' on the box.
Is there a way to either :
   1 - Prevent the text from being 'hidden' when this occurs
   or
   2 - Prevent the ''long single line text box' overlay from appearing. This will
        probably prevent the data in the text box from being 'hidden'.

T420s 417117A nv4200m extend desktop problem

I recently switched my bios setting of main display to "NVIDIA Optimus" and connect a enternal monitor.
when i got into win7. i choise multi monitor to extend my desktop.
but the main LCD appeard red and white stripe very offten. Time interval of about 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
i bought my new laptop just seven days. Need i back my new T420s to service center?
the nvidia driver version is 8.17.12.6871
the two monitor resoltion are :
1. main LCD : 1600*900
2. viewsonic VA912b 1280*1024
i have another two T420s, but havn't this problem ......

I described before is wrong!!
Correct description is as follows:
"Intergrated Graphics" and use extend desktop is normal.
"Discrete Graphics" and use extend desktop will appeard red and white stripe flash one time at left half of internal LCD.
time interval of about 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
"NVIDIA Optimus" and use extend desktop is normal, but didn't try setup the default GPU to NV 4200M
Use single monitor(no mater internal or external) at all mode is normal
Use sync display at all mode is normal.....
so sad about this situation

Extending articles problem through lsmw

Dear Gurus,
We facing problem for extending articles in our production server.
Previously for extending 8000 articles it used to take around 1 to 2 hours time [this is six months backup] but now for extending 1000 articles its taking 6 to 7 hours time.
we using it as background job.
how can we disgnose the problem.
Does anybody faced such kind of problem?

I'm not sure what you mean with "guidance"...
Run your program using that transaction, it will give you as output an exact measurement, what statment is taking a long time.
There is no "button to click" to make things faster, one has to evaluate and check - which can be done through that transaction.
