Extension Manager CS5 doesn't recognize DW CS5

I have installed CS5 premium on mac 10.6.3.
Have reinstalled the extension manager.
Even if I open the Extension Manager from DW, it doesn't list it.
Please help.

Adobe Technical Support told me to run Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool.

Encore CS5 doesn't recognize my buttons w/ DL

Here are the steps to my workflow which will help to identify the problem:
1. I started in Encore CS5 and used a default template like 'menu HD' to bring into Photoshop to edit.
2. In PSCS5 i edited the layers so Encore would recognize they were buttons; which retained that button information for AE.
3. I then brought that PSD document into AECS5 as a composition to animate the layers.
4. I animated the layers in AE and then used Dynamic Link to bring into Premiere; even though i wanted to bring it into Encore.
5. I used DL to 'send to Encore' from Premiere
The problem is in Encore, it doesn't recognize the ( + ) menu button information with the DL from Premiere to AE.
How do i get Encore to allow me to use the original PS information that has the button information while using DL? I just want an animated DVD Menu that i can click on three individual buttons i animated in AE.

No i dont have it because there were about four different ones.

I took the original PSD that originated from Encore and brought that back in. It had the buttons on there and everything works grest, but doesn't have the effects that AE had created.

I can get this to work on a dvd as i burned one and it works. But what i want is this animation on the left corner is a leaf, and lily with decorative lines that fly in as an animation.

CS5 Doesn't Recognize File - Plugins

I have Tiffen Dfx 2 and all it installed was a .plugin file to my photoshop folder. CS5 has never accepted the .plugin files for me. I figured most of that software wasn't usable in CS5 like some old Alien Skin products, but now with Dfx not installing I know somethings up. It's the 64 bit version and I've tried running it in 32 bit and 64. Why do I get that error message that Photoshop doesn't recognize the file.

Read the installation instructions that came with your plug-ins again.
One DOES NOT install a plug-in by double-clicking on its icon. You install it by putting the plug-in in the appropriate plug-in folder and then launching Photoshop.

Photoshop CS5 doesn't recognize scanner

Hi there,
I bought a new iMac G5 (OS 10.6.4) four days ago only to find Photoshop CS5 was not recognizing the scanner on my two year old Samsung SCX 4500 Printer/Scanner (the printer works fine). I downloaded the most recent Samsung scanner driver (1.0) and Photoshop still doesn't recognize it. Both Preview and Image Capture on the Mac recognize the scanner which enables me to scan and then upload to Photoshop, but that adds a step I'd rather avoid. Unfortunately it seems that a lot of people are losing printer/scanner compatibility when they upgrade.
Any thoughts on a fix?

CS5 doesn't recognize older files.

I have recently started upgrading our CS4 users to CS5 (Standard Suite). The first Windows user that I updated came to me witha weird issue.
When he navigates to a folder with the Photoshop files, the icon shows it as being an unrecognized file type. It won't open when you click on it either. He has to right click, and open as...Photoshop CS5 in order to open it. Even when he makes changes and saves it as new it still doesn't recognize the file.
I uninstalled CS4 from his machine, could that be causing this issue?

IPhoto doesn't recognize Photoshop CS5.1

How do I get iPhoto (version 9.4.2 running under Mountain Lion on 24" iMac), to recognize Photoshop CS5.1 as a choice for editing photos in iPhoto preferences? After upgrading my Mac to Mountain Lion and upgrading to the latest iPhoto (from Snow Leopard), It is still showing only iPhoto and Photoshop CS4 as the only options for editing. Most of the time I prefer to use iPhotos tools, but occasionally there is a task that Photoshop is better suited for and I would prefer to use the latest version which I recently installed. (Photoshop CS4 is still in my Applications Folder, but so is CS5.1)

Extension Manager CC doesn't see PS plug-ins

Hi,
I just installed extension manager 7.1 on a 2013 iMac running OSX 10.8.5, but it doesn't see any of the previously installed plug-ins.
How does one get the plug-ins listed?

If you installed EM 7.1 just now, how did you install plug-ins for PS (CC?)? Please note that EM CC only manages extensions for CC applications such as PS CC. PS CS6 will not be listed in EM CC (You have to use EM CS6.). EM 7.1 lists installed plug-ins only if you have installed them with EM 7.0 before and didn't delete database file when you uninstalled EM 7.0. If you installed those plug-ins manually or database file has been deleted, EM CC will not list them.

Bridge cs6 doesn't recognize my cs5.5 .indd files?

I just upgraded from CS 5.5 to CS 6. When I go into Bridge and double click an old CS5.5 .indd file it tries to open in MS Word. (I find this very strange) If I right click the file and click "open with" the only option it gives me is MS Word. I don't even get that "try another program" button. When i go into InDesign and click file/open the file opens fine. The problem is that Bridge is much faster and I really want to use it. I checked with a coworker that upgraded the same time I did and she is having the same issue only she saves her files to her desktop and can no longer double click to open. Also when she does an "open with" she has multple options but none of them are InDesign. So with that said, I don't think this is a Bridge issue but I wasn't sure where else to post it. Thanks for any help you can give.

When you look in to Bridge preferences you have the section 'File Type Associations' and inhere you can select the default application to open the files in. Inhere should be a list of all installed versions of ID visible and you can select one as the default.
Bridge is version specific and it might expect ID CS6 for bridge CS6 but usually it auto selects the correct version upon install. Can you check if the ID version you need is still in the File Type Associations?
And since your colleague has the same problem, are you working on a server environment?

ADOBE Media Encoder CS5 doesn't recognize LPCM audio

I have a video .m2ts with 3 audio tracks, 2 are AC3 and one is LPCM. I have created a new .m2ts file with tsMuxer with only LPCM audio track, but the audio of this file is not recognized but Adobe Media Encoder, who tells me that it has "mono" audio. Windows media player fails to recnize too, and plays no audio. Lokking at properties of the file in windows, it doesn't show any audio propertuy, like as it had no audio.
Howeaver the audio is there, because if I open this file with PoerDVD9 it plays correctly.
If I select one of the AC3 audio tracks instead that the one with LPCM with tsMuxer, the new file player correctly and is recgnized but AME. What's the problem???

the files i'm trying to convert:
powerDVD 9 does play audio correctly
VLC media player does play the audio correctly
but WMP does NOT play audio correctly and AME does not see that audio at all

Bridge CS5 doesn't recognize my HTC Incredible 2 smartphone.

When I configure my HTC Incredible 2 smartphone to connect to my Windows 7 OS as another drive and plug it into a USB port, it recognizes the drive as a camera or card reader but produces the error message: "Failed to obtain thumbnails from the device. The device is not connected or is busy." The Get Photos button is also grayed out. When my smartphone is first connected to the PC it gives me an option to install drivers and asks to insert disk, but I do not recall getting a driver disk with the phone and, when I visit the HTC web site, I have no idea what download might address this particular issue. The bottom line is that without Bridge's recognitioon, its features are unavailable and I can only copy and paste when I want to download photos. Would appreciate suggestions.

and using Adobe Photo Downloader, which Bridge does, made no difference.
Still get the same error message about failing to load the thumbnails which
terminates the download process as far as Bridge is concerned. I also talked
to someone at HTC and it appears to be a third party driver issue; i.e.
There is no driver addressing the issue I raised. I can manipulate the phone
s photo gallery like any other disk, so rather than customizing in the
download process, it will just take another step or two for Bridge to do its
magic after download. Thanks again.

Dreamweaver CS5 Extension Manager not working?

I have just installed a new extension, when I have tried to disable another extension the extension manager doesn't work and show any of my extensions?
I go to Commands > Manage Extensions, it runs but just shows the Extension Manager title and only access to the 'About Extension Manager' which doesn't display anything. When I quit either by the Menu or Cmd + Q it doesn't only when I Quit from the Dock does it quit?
I am up to date with all updates?
What can I try?

If Extension Manager doesn't load properly, you might try disabling the newly installed extension via the command line.

To access the command line:
In Windows, open the command prompt by selecting Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
In Mac OS, open Terminal by double-clicking its icon in the Applications/Utilities folder.

Cannot Update Extension Manager to 6.0.8. Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

Having trouble updating this through MacKeeeper and through Adobe Application Manager on my Mac. Any ideas what I can do to make this update stick? It gets to 99% update during installation then comes up with the error code. Not affecting my programs (PS5, Lightrrom 5, Flash). Not sure what the update is related to, maybe some conflict with PS5? I have Extension Manager 5.0, 5.5 and 6 listed in my Apps. Any help would be appreciated!

I guess the most possible reason is that MacKeeper deleted non-English resource files in Extension Manager CS6 package file. Extension Manager CS6 doesn’t conflict with PS5 or other versions of Extension Manager.
You can delete Extension Manager CS6 installation folder manually, then download Extension Manager 6.0.8 installer from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html and install it. Then you will have the latest version installed.

Extension Manager CC, Flash CC, Swiffy CC

I realize that Flash Professional CC is not currently listed as a functioning program with Extension Manager CC, CreateJS is great but, I'd like to try the Swiffy plug-in which looks like it will only install if I roll back to Flash Professional CS6 (no longer available to download) and install via the Extension Manager CS6. So my question is, will Flash Professional CC be coming soon to Extension Manager CC and furthermore will the Swiffy plug-in eventually be available as well?

Why do you say "Flash Professional CC is not currently listed as a functioning program with Extension Manager CC"? Extension Manager CC does support Flash Profession CC. It seems that you installed Flash Profession CC but Extension Manager CC doesn't show it in product panel. Is it correct?
Swiffy is created by Google. It doesn't limit the maximum version of Flash Professional. As it is a mxp file and Extension Manager CC no longer supports mxp file, you have to convert it to ZXP file via Extension Manager CS6 (Standalone download is available at http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html). Then you can install it to Flash Professional CC using Extension Manager CC.
