Extension Manager CS5 on Windows 7 Home Premium

I cannot get Extension Manager CS5 to play fair with DW CS5 ("This extension cannot be installed, it requires Dreamweaver version 8 or greater") when I try to install an extension from any developer. I use a critical handful from Web Assist and have even tried to load one from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail& loc=en_us&extid=1739525
This happened when I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 Home Premium so should I take Adobe to heart when it says the requirement for EM CS5 is, " System Requirements - The Extension Manager CS5 requires Mac OS X 10.5-10.6.2 or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3; Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise with Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2; Windows 7 Enterprise, Ultimate with 1GB of RAM, 1,024x768 display with 16-bit video card, and at least one of the following products... "?

I am willing to try upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate from Windows 7 Home Premium, a possible $169 shot-in-the-dark.

how much space at target volume? external HDD? USB pen drive?
i suggest using external HDD, USB pen drive will takes forever
or you can also try using 3rd party application, but its our own risk and fully support comes from manufactured

Be aware that two versions of Photoshop will be installed 32 bit and 64 bit. The 32 bit is there for legacy reasons with some plugins e.g. TWAIN scanner

Soon to purchase Photoshop CS5 full package (discs). Will it install and run well on Windows 7 Home Premium and an i7-860 processor?
I am reading far too many negative comments regarding Photoshop CS5 installation but it seems that they are mainly due to type of system and Windows version etc. Is the above system and Windows 7 Home Premium compatible enough for this software?

Hi, I've an iPad Mini with the latest version 6.0.2, a windows 7 Home Premium laptop and iTunes 11.0.1 (12), but I can't synchronize my music or videos with it. I managed to syncronize my books but thats all.
I also have an iphone 5 and everything seems to work fine with it.
I see all movies and music available to be sync but when I click on the sync button, the process starts, the bottom bar shows an increase in consumed space then nothing happens and the bar goes back as nothing was added.
Please help..

Extension Manager CS5.5 does not open (Windows 7)

I've seen lots of issues in the forums about the extension manager not working, and I've tried every suggestion I can find to no avail. It was working just fine a few weeks ago, but now when I try to start it, the window doesn't open and I have to kill the process from the task manager. I've tried 'Run as administrator', and giving myself full permissions on the Extension Manager folders in the Users directory. I uninstalled and reinstalled the EM. Nothing seems to help.
I put an ExManLog.YES file in the directory where the extension manager is installed. I don't see any errors in the log file that is generated:

I need the EM for use with Flash Professional CS5. I can't open the EM from the executable or from within Flash. Any help getting this to work would be greatly appreciated.

It turned out not to be a permission issue. My issue, like a previous poster, was the Flashbug Firefox plug-in. Once I removed Flashbug from the path you specified everything worked like a charm.
Again, thank you VERY much for your guidance. I’m glad this was relatively easy to resolve. I would have hated to uninstall and reinstall only to have the same issue.

and those are only available for Windows 7 Pro, Enterprise and Ultimate as mentioned here

Extension Manager CS5 will not open in Windows XP

I have been trying to install any extension in the EM CS5 and it will not open. I have removed it and re-installed several times with no luck. Is there an update or something I need to do to make this work? It will not run through Dreamweaver as well.

2. Each CS product which Extension Manager supports has a file named XManConfig.xml. If Extension Manager can not find this file from a CS product, Extension Manager will not integrate this product. So in order to determine the cause, you can rename XManConfig.xml for all CS products temporarily (You can find this file under installation directory or its configuration sub-directory of each CS product), as a result, Extension Manager will not integrate any product.
3. Try to launch Extension Manager, if it can be launched successfully, then rename XManConfig.xml back one by one and launch Extension Manager again after each rename. If Extension Manager can not launched after you rename XManConfig.xml back for a certain product, then the problem is relevant to this product, please generate log files to assist troubleshooting. You can read other threads in this forum to learn how to generate log files. Of course, if you don't need Extension Manager to manage extensions for a specific product, you don't need restore name of XManConfig.xml for that product.
4. If Extension Manager can not be launched even if no any product is integrated,also please generate log files.

Extension Manager CS5 hanging problem

I have this issue recently that extension manager pops up when I load Dreamweaver CS5. I've just done an update and the following message comes up:
The Extension Manager will now launch and finish updating Dreamweaver.
Extension Manager then comes up and starts Loading Extensions. However at a certain point it just freezes (see pic).
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Windows 7 Home Premium under bootcamp on OSX 10.6.8 no internet connection, no drivers found?

I installed bootcamp, Windows 7 Home Premium on my Macbook Pro 13" 2011 model running OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard with latest updates) and cannot manage to make an internet connection. Cannot locate any drivers on either the Windows CD nor under the installation. Just a plain zero. For me, this amounts to being utterly useless. I tried the trial version of Parallels and got the same result. What, if anything, am I doing wrongly or is this just one of those impossible things to actually accomplish? This has been very frustrating and one of the reasons I bought the Mac in the first place was interoperability with Windows so I can use my extensive collection of photo manipulation applications. As it is I might as well not have bothered.

Guten Abend Community, erst einmal bin ich neu hier und leider auch hier, da ich ein Problem habe welches ich einfach nicht gelöst bekomme.
Ich musste mein System kommplett neu Installieren und habe anschließend Adobe Web Premium 5 Installiert was auch ohne Probleme Funktioniert, anschließend habe ich die Updates durcheführt welches auch fast ohne Probleme läuft qalle anderen Updates wurden Installiert bis auf die in der fehlermeldung. was kann ich da machen damit das nicht mehr auftritt ?
PS: Davor ging das auch problemlos, das System habe ich erst vor 3 Tagen neu Aufgesetzt.

Wenn noch fragen offen sind einfach fragen, ich würde gerne das Problem so schnell wie möglich lösen....

Ja wie gesagt es hat davor auch ohne Probleme Funktioniert nur war ich gezwungen das System neu zu Installieren und ab dann konnte ich die da oben genannten Updates nicht mehr Installieren. Ein Mac ist zwar eine schöne Sache kommt aber für mich nie in Frage da ich mein PC als Arbeitsrechner und Gamer Rechner nutze und das meiste läuft halt nicht auf einen Mac und man müsste manche Programme neu Kaufen, das sehe ich überhaupt nicht ein, und meine Anwendungen werden aus Prinzipien nicht für Apple Produkte entwickelt da verdient man kaum etwas... aber das muss jeder für sich entscheiden. An eine neue Version habe ich eventuell nächstes Jahr gedacht aber auch nur die CS6 ob man das brauch ist die Frage da CS 5 genau macht was es soll. Das Modell mit der Adobe Cloud hat zwar denn Vorteil das die Programme Aktuell sind aber man muss Monatlich dafür Zahlen und CS5/CS6 oder älter brauch man nur einmal Kaufen. Darüber hinaus finde ich eh das Adobe so eine richtige S*** ist wenn es um Support ältere Programme geht so zeigt Adobe meiner Meinung nach das Ihre Produkte nichts wert sind zumindest macht es den Anschein. Aber wie gesagt, bin ich hier um Hilfe zu bekommen um das Problem zu lösen ohne ein neue Version zu kaufen, das ist ja bekanntlich die einfachste Lösung, aber wenn Informatiker auch so denken würden dann würde es sehr schlecht aussehen... und als Anmerkung am Rande, es wäre ja nett wenn man mir denn Link dieser Updates zukommen lassen könnte um die Updates Manuell zu Installieren.

Dies kann man in voraus natürlich nicht aber in nachhinein geht das und Software Entwickler denn etwas an Ihre Produkte liegt, machen das nachhinein auch und passen gegebenenfalls Ihr Produkt an.
PS: CS 2 läuft ebenfalls auf einem Windows 8.1 rechner ;-)

Microsft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and 32bit Retail with WinNt, WinPE, WinMCE networking install no notification

I have not been given any explanations for my multiple electronic communication device retail purchase problems. When ever I purchase a retail smartphone or retail notebook computer they do not have actual installed operating systems as advertised. The android
operating systems are Developer SDK. The operating system on my Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy Ring is Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 purchased this year is part of a Developer SDK. I purchased a Samsung i7 Chronos win8 64 bit notebook at Best Buy last year and it
was configured as a Network Server Client in User Mode through the American Mega Trends Aptio Bios Setup Utility that had been customized to bypass regular Configuration files and install a custom operating systems on Network Volumes instead of the actual
partitioned hard drive. I ended up with WinPE boot in to WinNT and WinMCE in an OEM Networking client server platform partial operating virtual operating systems that I have been allowed a user profile with permissions in the Administrators Group. I am not
even the administrator of my own personal computer. Someone I do not know has hijacked the highest Administrative Authority at retail purchase and open up a number of profiles to the general public through the server client software. They have automated and
live access to the operating systems power up or power down. I do not even think the notebook is ever powered down even though the power and activity lights are out. It is like someone has taken the windows operating system I was suppose to get at retail and
swop it for partial virtual operating systems interface to network client software through serveers. I took the SamSung Chronos back to Best Buy and exchanged it for an Asus G75VX i7 Win8 64 bit gaming notebook with 3GB Nvidia Graphic's chip and 8GB memory
with 1TB hard drive 3D ready and it was configured the same way as the Samsung. I took it back and returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for another brand new in the unopen box Asus G75VX i7 win8 64bit notebook. I took it back for Best Buy to take a look
at it because it was also configured the same way. Then I sent it to the Asus Service Center two times and it was returned to me both times configured the same way. Before I sent it back to Asus the two times I went to Fry's and purchased Windows 7 Home Premium
32 and 64bit operating systems on DVD and the notebook configured the software the same way. After install of win7 32 or 64bit the installed operating systems did not recognize the Window's 7 Home Premium 32 and 64bit retail DVD as the same version of operating
system. I took a look at the installation files on the retail disk and the configuration installed on the computer came from the software disk and the rest through background network servers but there is something in the AMI Aptio Bios that voids any of the
regular Configuration Files. My computer does not even recognize the configuration file in the normal sense on the retail disk. All of the system file extensions have been altered and been added to creating almost unlimited file extensions like the system
ran on Text. I paid $975.00 for the Samsung Chronos, $1375.00 for the two Asus G75VX's, $216.00 for the win7 DVD, $120.00 or more for insured postage on the to trips to the Asus Service Center not counting Asus prepayment of postage because I had to reship
the notebook in order to get it to me. I have spent about $150.00 or more on software for disk management, anti virus, internet security etc. The retail purchase were modified on return purchases. Since 2007 I have gone through about seven smart phone brand
new, About four of five regular internet phones and about eight notebook computers with three being used and five being brand new.
I still do not have an actual operating system installed on the actual retail hard drive and my notebook is not repaired. I have operating systems installed on Network Disk Volumes that are installed on a GPT Server Partition. The configuration visually
alters from background activities. All of my information is made public through the Virtual Public Shared C: drive.
I am legally disable and a pro se litigator in the United States Federal Courts. Since 2007 I have litigated in three civil actions in the United States District Courts and in one all the way to the United States Supreme Court. I am currently still litigating
in one as a legal interpreter and have done all of the legal work in that action since 2011. I have a civil litigation history in the United States District Courts dating back 28 years.
Having all of my communication devices hacked and the legal and personal information publicly shared through three federal civil actions and through public entity department and agencies is a gross violation of United States Constitution Article IV Citizenship
rights. A gross violation of the Bill of Rights First Amendment Rights to Petition the court for Redress of Grievances and Bill of Rights Fourth Amendment Privacy Rights and Bill of Rights Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection and Due Process rights. It is
a gross violation of the Federal Communications Act FCC Rule 255 person's with disabilities access to electronics's telephone communication equipment and software since my smart phones and notebook computers were configured with networking, management and
telephone hardware and software. It is a gross violation of Title II of the American with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended in rights of person's with disabilities. It is a gross violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended on the rehabilitation
rights of persons with disabilities. It is a gross violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights act of 1964 Civil Rights and it is a gross violation of litigation privacy rights within all of the federal court rules such as the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure,
Federal Rules of Evidence, Federal Appellate Court Rules, Local Court Rules and United States Supreme Court Rules and the United States Federal Pacer Electronic Court Account and Filing System. It is also a gross violation of state law that has to comply
with federal law. There exists no question in law of the violations because I have furnished the computer registry files, Receipts and servicing records to Microsoft, Asus and others but nobody know how to solve the problem but the Win7 retail disks identical
to mine disappeared from retail store shelves. What is WNT_6.1H_64_MCE?oes anybody in the Microsoft and Asus community have any explanations for the total disregard for United States federal law and customer retail purchase rights? I went to Fry's and Best
Buy and took a look at a number of notebook computer files and configuration and a number of them were like mine. The thing that irritates me the most about the configuration if it is public is that it is not passive. A profile folder has been configured for
me that alters the configuration of what I purchased to violate my constitutional rights. They even alter the hardware and software settings to Legacy that ran on computers from ten fifteen years ago and force it on me at modern day electronics prices. That
is not right.

Where no law is involved in denials and restrictions in constitutional rights it is impossible for it to be legal.
