Extension Manager Not Accessible in CS6 32 bit - Windows

Fellow Adobers,
I have Windows 7 and have Adobe Cs6. I installed the Extension Mangare and it went perfectly and is viewable on the CS6 64 bit on the box. When I click on the CS6 32 bit version, Extensions is grayed out. Is there something I have to do if I wanted to use CS6 32 bit with Extenions Manager?

I am afraid I can't understand what you said clearly. Extension Manager isn't embedded in any products. What do you mean when you said Extension Manager is viewable on the CS6 64 bit? I guess your problem is: you installed Photoshop 32 bit and Photoshop 64 bit. Then you installed some extensions for Photoshop CS6. You expected that these extensions should be shown for PS 32 and PS64 in Extension Manager UI. When you clicked Photoshop CS6 64 bit in the left panel of Extension Manager CS6, these extensions were shown in the right panel as expected. But when you clicked Photoshop CS6 32 bit, these extensions were shown in the right panel but they are greyed out. Is it correct?

  • I installed a configurator in CS6 Extension Manager. However it does not appear in CS6 under  Window

I installed a configurator in CS6 Extension manager whch went fine. However in CS6 under  Window > extensions the configurator does not show up

    Hi 1432690,
Which configurator did you install? Is it a ZXP or MXP file? Which product( such as Photoshop, InDesign, ... ) does this configurator support? Where can we download this configurator? Is there any error during installation? In order to list this extension in Extension Manager, you have to select the correct product in the left  panel of Extension Manager first. Thanks.

  • Dreamweaver (part of CS6) will not run on 64 bit Windows 8 PC

This package ran okay on my Windows 7 64 bit PC. I upgraded the Windows 7 PC to 64 bit Windows 8. Reinstalled all software including CS6. Dreamweaver will not start and comes up with a Error 7b. I have updated all the drivers  including the graphics card. It seems that all CS6 programs that load up in a 32 bit mode are suspect in Windows 8. I have downloaded and updated all Adobe programs but still a problem. Looking for ideas as Adobe help is only Monday to Friday.

When you upgraded Win7 to Win8, was that process itself a clean install - meaning did you reformat the hard drive (or use a separate hard drive) thereby installing a fresh copy of Win 8?
I recently upgraded to Win 8 64bit as well, and from Win7 64bit, but I didn't want to run the risk of loosing access to any of my Win7 Apps or files should I find Win8 unbearable, so I ran the upgrade on a separate hard drive, which gave me the option to boot into either 7 or 8. Actually, Vista is on a third drive, left over from my Win7 upgrade in 2009. ;-)
I'm about 3 weeks in, and so far I have had no problems at all with any CS6 app on Windows 8. 8 seems faster, more responsive, but that could be because it's a new installation.

  • Extension Manager not finding After Effects CC

    Hey all,
I have been having a bit of an issue in regards to Adobe Extension Manager. I just installed the new CC version, and wanted to install an extension to Adobe After Effects. However, it does not show up on the Extension Manager screen:
As you can see, it shows some of my other CC programs, but not After Effects. I used Adobe Extendscript to print out a log. Can you help me figure out what I need to do to install this extension to After Effects?

What should I do to get that showing up on the CC Extension Manager?
    Thanks,
    Sam Kramer

This is as designed. Extension Manager doesn't support After Effects. If the extension you want to install is a .ZXP file, you can install it anyway. I guess it will be shown in "Others" after installation.

  • Managing fonts in Adobe CS6 and Windows 7

Previously I had students add their fonts to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts. This worked well. I gave them write access to this folder and they would drag their fonts into this folder and they would be available to all products from the Creative Suite. This was when our school was on CS5.5 and Windows XP.
Over the weekend we reimaged the machines to have Windows 7 (64-bit) and CS6. Students can no longer add fonts to Adobe, as I am unsure of where the fonts folder is. They also cannot add fonts system wide, as they are not given admin access to these folders (which makes sense). I have tried to add fonts to the folder found at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts" but this does not make the font available to Adobe CS6 applications.
Is there a way to have fonts added to Adobe? I know that there are manny different applications that can manage fonts; can the Adobe forum users recommend one? I don't want students to be able to affect system wide fonts. I have dealt with the repercussions of giving students access to the Windows fonts folder.
Help in this would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Blake

I have been hodling off upgrading to CS4 for a year now, since Adobe has not make any statements about Windows 7 support.  If adobe has release some statements, can someone point me to the statement?

What is the possible release schedule for CS5, I am thinking May 2010?
That's as good as anyone else's guess.
    CS: Sep 2003
    CS2: April 2005 (19 months)
    CS3: April 2007 (24 months)
    CS4: Oct 2008 (19 months)
CS5:  May 2010 would be 19 months - but only Adobe knows the real date.

so isn't Version="[13.0,15.9]" correct? why would it not work for cs6? thanks in advance.

    Hi,
CS6 doesn't support HTML Panels but Flash ones, this should be the why the Adobe Extension Manager fails.
You might find help here (Flash): Creative Suite Extension Builder and here (HTML): Extension Builder 3

  • Will extension manager cc work with cs6?

I have tried to install couple of extensions for my CS6 with no luck.

No it will not work. You must have the same version of Extension Manager as the applications that are installed on your computer. There is a CC and a CS6 version of Extension Manager.

  • Brightness OSD not working in 64 bit Windows 7

    Hi,
After having used the laptop for a long time with a 32 bit Windows 7, I've upgraded the RAM and added an SSD, and reinstalled with a 64 bit Windows 7. Everything works great, some things even better than before (used to have occasional problems hibernating, but not anymore). However, there is one small, irritating problem:
The brightness OSD is not working, even though the buttons do control the brightness and every other OSD is working properly, only this one isn't.
After installing windows, I've used the ThinkVantage System Update utility to install everything. Then I tried installing all kinds of drivers seperately. So far, no luck.
I'd really appreciate some help resolving this issue.
    Thanks a lot

I've tried several different versions of the On Screen Display from the Hotkey Features Integration for Windows 7, including 6.60.03, 6.60.01, 6.60.03, 6.42.00, 6.24.00. And every time, it's the same thing. Everyhting works but the brightness control OSD.
    What else can I try?

  • Easy Print VI panel not working with 64-bit windows vista

We have a significantly sized application developed in Labview 8.2.1 that is designed to work on a standalone computer. This application uses "Easy Print VI Panel" to print report pages which are basically front panels of various VIs. The application also prints some report pages using the "Print Report" module. Typically we use the application builder and use the generated installer to install the application on a target computer. We also include the appropriate Run-Time engine and NI VISA 4.1. The applications works exactly as designed on all versions of 32-bit Windows (ME, XP, Vista). Now, when this application was installed on a machine running Windows Vista 64-bit, attempts to print reports resulted in a lot of blank pages. I noticed that the report pages that are based on the "Easy Print VI Panel" module were blank whereas the ones that are based on the "Print Report" module were not blank.
To further troubleshoot, I created a very small application. The only function of this application is to use the "Easy Print VI Panel" to print the front panel of another VI that I bundled inside the application. I observed the same behavior.
From what I can tell, either:
    1. "Easy Print VI Panel" with Labview 8.2.1 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit
    2. The Labview Run-Time Engine 8.2.1 has some incompatibility with Windows Vista 64-bit (I have not tried to install the full development system on the 64-bit Vista computer)
Any insights as to what may be causing this? or does anyone know of a fix for this issue. I am attaching the latter simple test code to the post.
    Thanks

Sorry Sam, I couldn't get my hands on a 64-bit Vista machine to tinker with your VI. I got a little obsessed with trying to get ahold of a computer to test it out on, that I overlooked actually taking the time to think about the problem. But, now that I'm thinking about it, which operating system did you build this application on? Sometimes an application that was built in another OS than it's running on will have problems caused by the differences in the OS. I'd like to try building the application in 64-bit Vista and deploying it to another 64-bit Vista machine, but unfortunately, I can't test this out myself. My gut feeling is that the application is acting up because it wasn't built in 64-bit Vista, not because the Easy Print VI or the 8.2.1 Run-Time Engine themselves are incompatible with 64-bit Vista. If you can, please test out that theory. That will definitely help determine if it's truly a bug or not.

  • CS4 Adobe Extension Manager not working after Mavericks

    Hello,
I upgraded to Mavericks and now my watermark is no longer appearing in the Extension drop down menu.  I tried to reload it but when I open Adobe Extension Manager in CS4 and try to upload it I get the following message "You do not have the appropriate permissions required to perform this operation. Contact you system administrator to obtain permission.".  I have checked my settings and I am logged in as an adminstrator.
Can anyone please suggest how I fix this.
    Thanks
    Anna

I did find this link, but it is for CS5. I tried it replacing the CS5 with CS4 and it did not seem to work.

  • Auto-update not working on 64-bit Windows Firefox Aurora

I realize the correct directory to download Aurora builds would be http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora-l10n/, but it does not have 64-bit Windows build which is unfortunately the only way to solve severe stuttering problems in Flash.
Previously I had used nightly builds, while they did work fine most of the time sometimes there issues that forced me back to standard builds, and stuttering Flash.
So instead I've been trying to use 64-bit Aurora I downloaded from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/. It's been a smooth experience otherwise but auto-update doesn't work. First it attempts to install small patch, which fails. Then it tries to install full update, which again fails.
Here's a screenshot of the full update failure message: http://i.imgur.com/8HmPjTE.jpg

Thanks for the feedback. The topic linked above suggests that the problem with auto-update lies with CA certificate. I've submitted feedback to Moziilla and linked here just in case.
If the cause of failing auto-update is the CA certificate, hopefully Mozilla is willing to correct the problem.
Stuttering Flash in 32-bit Firefox is simply unbearable and I have to either use 64-bit Nightly or Aurora builds, or go Chrome.

  • SQL Developer 1.1 Patch 3 still does not work on 64-bit Windows

There has been a long-standing problem with SQL Developer 1.1 not working on 64-bit versions of Windows. When sqldeveloper.exe is executed, a very unhelpful error dialog stating "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000018). Click on OK to terminate the application" is displayed.
While there is a workaround that involves running the sqldeveloper.bat file in the \sqldeveloper\bin subdirectory, it is a bit inconvenient and requires the user to discover this workaround. Furthermore, SQL Developer 1.0 did not have this problem, so it is a bit puzzling as to why the problem was introduced with SQL Developer 1.1 and why it is still not fixed with the latest patch.

I can confirm that we have a fix for this problem. I'm not sure when this fix will be available in SQL Developer.
The bug was introduced in 1.1 due to optimizations in the way that the native Windows launcher works to better support products like SQL Developer.
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Extension manager not selectable

    Hello
My extensions menu is greyed out in photoshop. I have unistalled extension manager, updated it too. I have uninstalled exchange and reinstalled that too.
I have unistalled photoshop, and all components, then reinstalled
I have checked the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions and there are folders in there.
I am running windows 7 and this happened after the last photoshop update
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
This is Zhihong from Adobe CEP team. Thanks for reporting this, could you please help to offer following information:
    1. Is there a nested extension folder under “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions”? The correct structure should be “..\CEPServiceManager4\extensions\extensionA” rather than “..\CEPServiceManager4\extensions\nestedFolderName\extensionA”.
    2. Can you get the CEP log and listed in this thread? The steps are as following:
First, set the “LogLevel” value of registry key “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.4” from “1” to “6”. Second, restart Photoshop and do the operations you mentioned. The CEP log will be in folder “C:\Users\’username’\AppData\Local\Temp” with name csxs4-PHXS.log.
    3. In addition, could you please check following components version on your machine?
Version of CEPHtmlEngine.exe (it locates at path “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\html”).
Version of PlugPlugOwl.dll (in the Photoshop installation folder like “C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC”).
    Thanks!

  • Extension Manager not loading

    Hi,
The Extension Manager is not loading AT ALL. I am using CS4 and Mac OSx 10.5.8.
I have tried on another computer using same operating system/ software and it still is giving me nothing. Not even an error message or anything. All that happens is that I open it and get absolutely no opening screen or anything. It appears in my dock as being open however I can't see anything.
    Whats wrong Adobe?
    I expect better.

    1. Please try to run Extension Manager using sudo command.
    2. If it doesn't work, kill the process, delete file: /Users/<UserName>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Extension Manager2/exman_uiPreferences.xml, then retry step1.
    3. If it still doesn't work, create a file named "ExManLog.YES" under the /Applications/Adobe/Adobe Extension Manager CS4/Adobe Extension Manager CS4.app/Contents/MacOS, then retry step1. after a while, kill process, find the log files from /Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager2, and upload them to this forum.

    Hi,
I have tried all of the above.
I think it is a registry issue, need to "regedit" the registry.
    Any advice on that?
