EXTENSION of IDOC  DELVRY03, need correct exit

Hi,
Can anyone give me user exit for delvry03 to extend the IDOC as I know there is one available which is EXIT_SAPLV56K_002.
I did put break point in the exit in function module but when I create a dummy scenario in WE19 and trying to do the Standard output processing it's generating an IDOC instead of going to exit. Please let me know if I am missing something or this is not the right exit.
Thanks & Regards
Rinku

  • Inbound Delivery IDOC-DELVRY03; Right User Exit? WMTC1D01 IDOC for STOs??

    Hi Experts,
    The scenario is:
As soon as the user saves the DELIVERY in external_system, flat file is sent to Gentran, where its transfrred to IDOC and then, this IDOC is directed to SAP.
So, this Inbound_Delivery_IDOC- - DELVRY03 will be received by SAP system and updates the delivery related stuff in SAP system.
    So, here, AT THIS POINT,
1)I need to capture this IDOC of Inbound_Delivery_IDOC - DELVRY03,
    2) Need to check its(Inbound_Delivery_IDOC) MESSAGE CODE for TOA
    3) If its TOA, I need to UPDATE the associated Stock Transfer Order/STO(record in LTAK, LTAP tables) stuff through IDOC of WMTCID01
    so, let me know that,
    1) Wht is the User Exit, I need to look, Which User Exit is correct? I mean, At Wht point I need to add my code in this whole process?
    2) How to execute the UPDATED WMTC1D01 IDOC of Stock Transfer Order-STO?

Thanks but I don't think this will help. Like I said, all of my add-ons were working fine and compatible until after running a previous version of FF. I am sure they are still compatible, but they are not working at all.
I even checked my profile folder and all of the extensions' data is all still there but FF5 is just not reading it correctly. (like adblock plus... I see the folder for it but FF5 doesn't have it on the add-on manager page when I run FF5)

  • Updating sales unit VRKME via IDOC DELVRY03

    Dear All,
I am using IDOC : DELVRY03 , message type SHPCON for updating picked quantities for outbound deliveries from an external WM system.
Our delivery quantity is defined in sales units (for example : 1 box which contains 10 PC). PC is the base unit of measure for the product.
Sometimes there is not enough stock in the warehouse so they can pick less then 1 box, for example : 8 PC.
In that case I need to update the picked quantity from 10 to 8 and also update the unit for the delivery from box to PC.
IDOC DELVRY03 does not update the delivery unit even that the field is defined in segment : E1EDL24-VRKME.
Does anyone knows how can I update this field using an IDOC ? BAPI ? or any other option ?
    Thank you very much,
    Miriam Harel.

    Hi Miriam,
    Welcome to SDN.
Please try BAPI BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE to update the sales unit.
    Hope this will help.

    Hi,
In Tx. WE42, Select the process code for the corresponding partner and bind your workflow / task inplace of the function module with the process code. Now, this will enable the idoc to get placed in the agents(identified by that workflow)inbox.
But to design the workflow, you`ll have to use tx. swdd and prior to that get some basic understanding of Business Workflow from SAP Library.
Hope the info. is helpful and reward points if so.

    Hi
    IDOC
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
    How to create idoc?
*WE30 - you can create a IDOC type

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

    EDI
    Electronic Data Interchange
Cross-company exchange of electronic data (for example business documents) between domestic and international business partners who use a variety of hardware, software, and communication services. The data involved is formatted according to predefined standards. In addition to this, SAP ALE technology is available for data exchange within a company.

    EDI FLOW :
Here is some thing which helps you and here the purchase order is taken as example too..
Electronic Data Interchange, or EDI, is the electronic exchange of business data. Using a standard format, EDI provides a method of transmitting business data from one computer to another, without the need to re-key data. This electronic link can result in more effective business transactions. With EDI, paper documents such as invoices can be replaced with electronic transmissions, thus time is saved, and the potential for error is minimized. Data can be exchanged at any time. Related business expenses, such as postage, printing, phone calls, and handling, can also be significantly reduced. EDI can aid in the support of manufacturing efforts, such as Just-in-Time and Third Party Warehousing, and financial efforts, such as Electronic Payments.
What parts of the business cycle can be supported by EDI?
Any business documents that are currently exchanged using paper can be converted to an EDI. Standards. Standards include ANSI X12 and XML/EDI are primarily used in the United States, while EDIFACT is used in Europe and Asia.
    How does EDI get started?
EDI gets started when one company contacts another expressing interest in trading business documents electronically using Electronic Data Interchange. The two companies must first determine each other's EDI capabilities. If you do not already know your EDI capabilities, we have prepared a questionnaire to help you determine them. If you are already EDI capable, we will coordinate with your technical staff to determine a testing plan. Upon completion of testing the EDI documents, the appropriate business personnel will set a production start date to begin the exchange of EDI business data. If you are not EDI capable, we recommend you first obtain a commitment from your upper management. Your company will need to allocate resources and capital for software, hardware, testing, possible programming, and training.
What is the flow of EDI?
The flow of EDI depends on the sophistication of your systems and your EDI software. If you have internal purchasing/order entry systems, you will need interface programs that can extract and insert data out of and into these systems. EDI programs that interface with your internal systems are preferred over software that requires re-keying of data. Embassy Software specializes in seemless interface between EDI and your back office systems. Using a purchase order as an example of a business document your customer would send that PO electronically (850) to you. It could be sent either through a VAN (Value Added Network) or through an FTP server. You would take that 850 and convert it either into and ODBC database, a flat file or XML document to be imported into your Order System with the use of EDI Software such as PassportXchange.. Using EDI communication software, which is part of the PassportXchange package you would pull down data at set intervals from the VAN or FTP. These documents are then processed through EDI translation software and output to our order entry system. Finally, an EDI document called a functional acknowledgment (997) is sent to your customer.

  • Batches not getting updated by incoming idoc DELVRY03 (message type SHPCON)

    Hi
I am using incoming idoc DELVRY03 (message type SHPCON) to update delivery document.I am using field E1EDL24-CHARG to pass batch data.
However batch number is not getting updated in delivery document. I have verified aspects like batch number is valid etc.
While updating batch number thru incoming idoc, do I need to supply some other data?
    Please help.
    TIA
    Koustav

    Hi Biswas,
I think batches are determined automatically in the deliveries while creation and thats the reason it is not getting the batch number in the delivery, if there is no automatic batch dertermination then it will update the valid batch number
also please check the batch determination procedure and the batch master in MSC2N and availability of materials for that particular batch
    regards,
    Santsoh

  • Create Idoc in a User Exit

    Hello everyone,
we have a requirement where we want to create and send an idoc out through a user exit.has anyone done anything like this before?i think it is possible.if anybody has any headup on how to do it please let me know.ok yea i know the function module which is to be used.its idoc_output_inotif.there is a tcode INOT which sends the idoc out but OSS says we cant use it 4.6c onwards and thats the reason this need of creating an idoc in user exit arises.
i have tried executing the FM independantly and punching in a few values and i saw that it created an idoc in the system.so my guess is, if i can call this FM in one of the user exits for the transaction IW51/52, and pass all the needed values i should get an idoc.
if anyone has manually created an idoc in a user exit please suggest me some options.
    thanks a lot.

    Hi Sanket ,
Distribution Model is required when you use message control to send IDOCS . Since you are triggering your IDOC in a uaer exit , a distribution model is not required . Simple create a partner profile in WE20 and assign your message type in outbound parameter. You need not fill the message control parameters in WE20.
( If you use message control , the process code links the respective FM like  idoc_output_inotif in your case ).
But in your case you will have to trigger your IDOC in user exit . You have two options here -
First Try -  idoc_output_inotif in the user exit to fill the segments , then use  FM MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE to trigger the send process.
If this  does not work then use
    L_IDOC_HEADER_CREATE -Once
    L_IDOC_SEGMENT_CREATE ( Once for each segment ).
( This will create IDOC on data base )
L_IDOC_SEND - Once to trigger the IDOC created above.
    Hope this helps .
    Cheers

  • Inbound idoc delvry03

    Hi exports,
I have scenario where I will get an IDOC(Basic Idoc type DELVRY06) from source SAP system but I am(receiver system) having upto DELVRY03(SAP ver 4.7). Some of the required segments in DELVRY06 are not there in DELVRY03. So  I am panning extend DELVRY03 and add custom segments. Could you please let us know how the inbound idoc segments are correctly mapped to my new idoc type.
I am new to IDOCs so please let me know whether above process is correct are do we have any other way of doing it?
    Regards,
    Ravinder

    HI,
In the sender system we have one option, go to Partner functions(WE20) in the sender system and in that we have one option like version of segment , so that give the version of urs then it will send only current version to receiver system.
for example in 4.7 we have 5 segments where as in the ECC 6 we have 10 segments , it will send only 5 segments.
Currently i dont have the SAP system to check and tell.
    Try this

  • Generate IDOC DELVRY03 when deletes delivery

    Hi guys,
Is it possible to generate an outbound IDOC DELVRY03 when I eliminate a delevery via VL02N???
I manage to send the IDOC DELVRY03 when I create and modify a delivery to a 3rd party system via message control. We really need also to trigger the IDOC when a delivery is eliminated.
    Thanks in advance
    PC

    Hey,
If is not possible via message control then you might consider workflow to create an IDoc when a delivery is deleted.
Switch on the event trace using SWELS and then delete the delivery. Display the trace using SWEL. If you find any delivery business object i.e. LIKP related events in the trace you could use them to trigger a workflow/task.
The task would have the logic to create an outbound IDoc.

  • Field VSBED empty in IDOC DELVRY03

    Hi,
I'm generating an outbound idoc DELVRY03 for a delivery. The field LIKP-VSBED is filled. Normally the value in LIKP-VSBED is supposed to be copied in field E1EDL20-VSBED of DELVRY03 idoc. But when the idoc is generate the field E1EDL20-VSBED is empty.
The FM used to generate the idoc is idoc_output_delvry.
    Does someone know the reason.
    Thanks in advance

Have you stepped through IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY?  Specifically, look at form read_data_delivery and make sure it is going into form read_deliveries.  In read_deliveries, make sure vsbed is populated when the deliveries are read into table tab_likp.
If it is populated in the table, look at form process_delivery_header in form fill_idoc_tab_delivery.  Here, the header segments are built.  In form process_e1edl20, there is a form fill_e1edl20 which contains the move from tab_likp-vsbed to e1edl20-vsbed.
If this is populating, verify there isn't any user-exit code that clears the value.  In particular, look at function exit_saplv56k_002.

  • Trigering the IDoc DELVRY03

I have to trigger an IDoc DELVRY03. I don't know how to configure this. I know only the technical part only e.g. how to configure partner profile, port & distribution model. But I need to know only the functional side configuration to trigger the IDocs.

    > sleect condition records tab present at left corner and then select LAVA message type in that
    > maintain customer details  and then save
    >next maintain partner profile for this customer in we20 along with message control data. in message control data  maintain application as V2, megssage type as LAVA and processcode as DELV.

  • Need User Exits for Creation of Delivery and for Posting Goods Issue

    Hi,
    I need User Exits for
    Creation of Delivery
    Posting Goods Issue
I need to make some checks regarding customer license expiration and if checks fail, I need to stop Creation of Delivery and Posting Goods Issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Will reward,
    Mindaugas

In the delivery you can use userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE to make your checks and send an error message to the user in case they fail.
You can find this user exit (form routine) in include MV50AFZ1.
    Hope that helps,
    Michael
