Hi - I need a quick and easy way to create a forum for an
existing website. Anyone know of a good extension that will allow
me to create one?

Firstly check with your host. Somethimes, they have a script
that you can use diretly from their control panel. If not,
then check with
them what they
support, asp, php etc.,
Here are a few links for different server models - take your

come with help docs or help forums, so getting one online
shouldn't be too
difficult to a non programmer.

Is there a good Dreamweaver CC extension to create agenda for theater

I need an extension to create a professional looking agenda for a theater, sorted by date, and brief info per performance, photo, time, venue, link to ticket sales

What you're really interested in is just the code for a professional looking agenda page, right? I don't see that this would be available as an extension. Why not show us the layout you are currently using and perhaps we can make some suggestions for how to create an agenda page or even an agenda template if you imagine having multiple such pages. Also, I would be seriously inclined to make this page data driven, meaning that the page itself is just a framework layout, and the data shown on the page is pulled from a database. That way you don't have to edit the page to add a new agenda item.

Perhaps someone will come forward with a good reference. Most people who want forums probably use ready made ones available from various hosts and just link to them from their site.

Extension for creating a zip file and unzipping it

Iam totally new to Dreamweaver and the extensions. So please
help me with this.
Assuming i have a .zip file and it contains some html pages
along with css and gifs.
The req is to have an Import option, which given this zip
file, can unzip its contents. The user can work on these html
pages. When the user finishes working on them, I need an export
button so that we can package the entire stuff back into a zip
file.
How can i implement this ?
Is there any extension that is available for this ?

There used to be one .. I'm not sure if that was in DMX time
or DMX 2004
time .. that, when installed, allowed you to select files
from the site
folder or the whole thing and create a zip from them. I don't
remember what
it was called or who created it .. but it might be on one of
my archived
disks or zips .. I'll try to check it out later today.

Extension Builder Creates mx:Application, and not csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication

I had been creating InDesign Extensions manually (i.e., without the ExtensionBuilder) up until now. I remember being told to use csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication for the panel.
We just recently got ExtensionBuilder, and I noticed that it creates mx:Application. Is this what it is supposed to be creating? Aside from the theoretical issue, there is the practical problem that I can't use the close() method which csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication has in order to close the panel.
I'd be greatful for an explanation.

mx:Application has less overhead than csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication maybe that's the reason it's the default.
You'll almost always want csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication though...

Create forum using html db

Is there any example on how to use HTML DB to create a forum type of application, allowing users to add comments and put the comments in the same thread?

dave's answer above is correct. you can't create a region dynamically at runtime, but you can certainly display dynamic content in htmldb using any number of built-in methods. conditionally displaying regions and even the content within those regions is certainly one way. if you have regions of type "PL/SQL Dynamic Content", you could, of course, do whatever you want in there. if you're talking about something close to a shopping cart scenario, where your users are choosing N number of whatever on previous screens, you might want to consider using htmldb Collections. you can get a feel for how they work by installing our Demonstration Application called "Collections Showcase". the third tab in that app has a decent explanation of what's going on. please do take a look around, consider your options, and let us know if you need further assistance.

The code if iFrame and I got it here: http://web.mac.com/catucker/InsideOutside/iFrame.html and modified it as far as size, etc. is concerned. All you need is the URL of the page you want to embed.
You might want to see how wide the forum page is. If it ends up too large to be reasonable in your page it might be just better to link to the forum with a text based link. You an have that link open the forum in a new window so you site page will still be open for the visitor.
Also I embedded the Apple forum into a blank page because many of the themes don't take to embedding wide snippets very well.

WebCenter Spaces Extensions - Problems creating custom header

Hi,
I'm looking for a way of branding the WebCenter Spaces application so that (among others) I can place my own html fragment above the Primary Tab to render a header and hide out-of-the-box global tool bar, secondary tabs and and the side bar. As far as I understood from the "Extending WebCenter Spaces" document (Link: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/pdf/owcs_r11_extend_spaces_wp.pdf]) I should be able to do this by creating my own custom shell.
I have taken the gsDefault shell provided within the extendwebcenterspaces.zip file and I got to remove the unwanted bars. Unfortunately I could not get to add my own html fragment for the header. What I have done for this purpose is to change this piece of code in the shell-config.xml:

I have followed the steps indicated in the document for deploying the custom extensions several times (including, adding the extra java parameter, redeploying and restarting). I know the jspx is accessible as when I try to get it directly from a browser I get a response instead of the page not found page.
Is this the rightway fo doing it? Am I missing something? Which steps could I follow to identify the underlying problem?

Any Extensions for Creating Blogs in DWCS3?

I would like to know if anyone has any idea of a DWCS3
extension that allows you to create a basic blog within the DWCS3
application? Ii simply can not learn WordPress (I have a mental WP
block or something). I am hoping there is something out there or on
the horizon that would accomplish this. Please advise if you know
of ANYTHING, thanks!
