Extension Transfer

Hi Forum,
I need help related to 10.5.x with transfer of kernel extensions.
The Situation :
Two MacBook Pros
- both running OSX 10.5.1
MBP1 :
we installed the Original Software from Vodafone (newest Download) for a UMTS Mobile Express Card.
The Card is not recognized as WWAN Card, only shows up as a USB device, the Vodafone Software does not connect to the Card.
MBP2 :
without Vodafone Software Installation the Card is directly recognized as a WWAN Card
So on MBP1 De-Installation and new Installation - no way, Card is not recognized.
Same procedure again, privileges repaired - again no functionality.
With help from Vodafone Support we could locate the problem in the
-> System -> Library -> Extensions ---> IOSerialFamily.kext
When opened up (show package content) :
-> Contents -> PlugIns
there is a AppleWWANSupport.kext - normally...
In this case there showed up a folder AppleWWANSupport.kext_disabled.
So the Vodafone Software disabled an Original .kext and renaming does not help (afterwards the .kext is not accepted by OSX).
Here my problem starts :
Both MBPs do have the same System Version, both have the same System Extension Version 9.1 for IOSerialFamily.kext.
So copying from MBP2 to MBP1 should solve the problem, right ?!?
No - does not work.
Copying, switching the privileges back to root (user) + wheel (group), repairing privileges (disk utilty) and restarting.
After Restart an Error shows up, that the .kext is not the correct one, so has to be installed again.
This would be a new System Installation of OSX 10.5.x
Why does the same Extension Version from another Mac with same OSX not function properly after copying?
Is there any help, I am not really happy with the thought of re-installing OSX only because of a Vodafone Software...
And for the final Info :
The two MBPs are differently used, so there is no way of using the Card on MBP2.
The Vodafone Software will not be installed any more, I only try to get back the Original Extension and then configure Network Ports with Apple WWAN Extension.
Thanks for any help in Advance.

use Label node and check Dynamic in the ICM script palette.
To make it SIP refer (assuming you have SIP deployment) simply specify the label pointer as "REFXXXX" where XXXX is the extension, then you need to ensure that the routing client i.e. gateway has matching route (i.e. dial peer ) pointing to the desintation, most likely CallManager.

-in location B, I have a PAP-2T with an analog phone in Line1 port and to LAN via Ethernet port
-location A and location B are in the same LAN
I can call from any extension of location A ( PBX extensions ) to VOIP extension in location B and the other way around, but....

  • Unable to transfer outside calls twice with CCME 4.0

    Hello,
I have a 3825 with a CCME 4.0 and one E1. There is an IVR (from stonevoice) implemented.
When the operator receives the call, she is able to transfer the call to a internal extension (for example 230), but when the user (ext. 230) tries to transfer the call again to another internal extension (ext. 255), the outside caller is still listening the moh and the second destination extension (ext. 255) don't receives the call.
On the phone screen of the ext.230, remains the 2 calls on hold with a message like "transfer not valid or unable to transfer".

  • LT12: how to manipulate the handling unit

    Dear all,
This is my first message on this forum and I've seen many bright lights on this forum so I have high hopes of your response to my question : )
When I want to confirm a transfer order with trx LT12, 2 Handling Units (HU) are assigned (which can be seen in the lower part of the screen). I have 2 items in my active worklist (different storage units) and can modify some fields, including the HU. For some reason both items have the same HU (the upper one of the assigned HU). I would like the first item to have the first HU and the second item to have the second HU.
My question is simple (and I had thought this would be possible but I've tried a LOT and did not succeed, hence my cry for help here): is there a possibility to manipulate the Handling Unit before it is shown on the screen? I did not seem to find a suitable BADI/user exit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your efforts!
    With kind regards,
    Roel van den Berge

    Dear Roel van den Berge
if iam not wrong you can achieve the same by  TO split
    Transfer Order Split
    Use
To optimize processes in the warehouse, it often makes sense to split up putaways and stock removals into smaller packets according to certain criteria. In doing so, it is important, for example, to:
    •     Distribute the workload equally amongst the warehouse workers
    •     Optimize stock movements in the warehouse according to certain criteria.
The transfer order (TO) represents a work package and determines the actual workload for a putaway or stock removal. It can therefore make sense to split a single, extensive transfer order into several smaller transfer orders. During the TO split, the system creates several smaller packets from one large one.
During the TO split, the TO items are divided up between one or more TOs. A TO split does not however mean that the system divides individual items of a TO into smaller TO items.
    Prerequisites
    1.     You define the criteria according to which the TO split is to occur in the Customizing for Warehouse Management under Activities  Transfers  Processing Performance Data/TO Split  Define Profiles.
    a.     To define a TO sort profile, choose Sort profile for TO splitting.
In the sort profile for the TO, you define the criteria according to which you want to sort the items in a transfer order before the actual split.
For each of these sort criteria, you define whether the system is to sort the transfer order items in ascending or descending order.
Before the actual dynamic TO split, you must sort the corresponding TO according to certain criteria. By sorting the TO items, you ensure that the TO split is sensibly executed and that no nonsensical TO splits occur.
    b.     To define a TO split profile, choose Profile for Transfer Order Splitting.
    c.     You assign your sort profile to the TO split profile by entering it in the field Sort profile.
    2.     You determine when the TO split should take place in the Customizing for warehouse management under Activities  Transfers  Processing Performance Data/TO Split  Control for Performance Data Processing/Define TO Split.
You also assign a key to the TO split profile, consisting of a warehouse number, movement type, source storage type and destination storage type.
    Features
    Standard Sorting of TO Items
Control of the TO split occurs on the basis of the sort. The system defines the sequence of the items in the transfer order before the actual TO split via the sort, so that the sequence of the TO items corresponds to an optimal sort sequence for later processing.
Since the system always executes the forced split of the transfer order items according to the forced split criteria, the system always sorts the TO items in the standard sort in accordance with the forced split criteria in the order that the forced split criteria are processed.
    Forced Split
Even if you have not set any user-defined criteria for the TO split, the system always executes a TO split according to the following forced split criteria:
    •     Planned data is required
The TO split first divides the TO items for which planned data creation is required, from the TO items for which planned data creation is not required.
The TO split also causes a further division for all TO items with planned data creation, according to the source storage type and destination storage area criteria.
    •     Per split profile
As soon as TO items differ from one another in the split profile to which they are assigned, a TO split occurs according to the split profile criterion.
    •     Per performance data profile
As soon as TO items differ from one another in the performance data profile to which they are assigned, a TO split occurs according to the performance data profile criterion.
    •     Per staging area
The TO split divides the TO items according to the staging zone to which they are assigned.
    •     According to mixed pallets
The TO split then separates the TO items containing mixed pallets from those containing no mixed pallets.
The TO split also creates a further division of all TO items with mixed pallets according to the storage unit that is to be moved.
    •     According to queue
The TO split divides the TO items according to the queue that these TO items are assigned to.
If you work with queues, you can assign each work area to its own printer. That way, all materials that are to be processed in a specific area can be combined in one list and printed on the assigned printer.
    •     According to handling unit items
The TO split then separates the TO items containing handling units from those containing no handling units.
    •     Separate confirmation of the withdrawal step and the transfer step is necessary
The TO split divides the TO items with split confirmation from TO items for which split confirmation is not planned.
The system transfers the information on the forced split to the header via the transfer orders, which are created as a result of the TO split.
The forced split criteria are obligatory. You cannot influence the forced split via the user exit. The system does not adopt any changes to the forced split criteria.
    Dynamic Sorting
Before you can execute a dynamic TO split controlled via the Customizing settings, the TO items should be sorted according to the split criteria. In doing so, you ensure that the TO split is sensibly executed and that no nonsensical TO splits occur.
You can define the sequence of all the storage bins in the warehouse based on a specific sequence and sort the TO items according to this sequence. The system sorts according to the Sequence indicator in the warehouse master data.
    Dynamic Split
You can define several criteria for the TO split in the Customizing for Warehouse Management.
    •     Split according to movement unit
On the basis of this split criterion, you create a new TO for each movement unit. In doing so, you create TOs with one item for exactly one movement unit.
You use this split, for example, during goods receipt when a whole pallet is moved from the GR area into the warehouse.
You define the split according to movement unit in the Customizing for Warehouse Management under Activities  Transfers  Processing Performance Data/TO Split  Define Profiles  Profile for performance data with the indicator Split single TO.
    •     Split according to picking area
You divide up the items to be picked according to the areas of responsibility of the picker.
    •     Split according to target times in the TO
You determine, for example, how long the picking for a transfer order is allowed to take.
    •     Split according to scope (weight or volume)
You determine the total weight or volume that a transfer order can cover for putaway or stock removal.
Note that the volume is calculated based on the alternative unit of measure. A box with 10 bottles, for example, can have a different volume than 10 times the volume of one bottle. If the volume for the alternative unit of measure has not been defined in the material master record, the system uses the volume from the base unit of measure for its calculation.
    Activities
Note that you have no influence over the TO split according to forced split criteria.
You can, however, define your own criteria for a dynamic TO split via user exit MWMTO012. For more information, see the system documentation on this user exit

  • CUC 8.0.2 AA sends calls to operator straight to VM

Auto-attendant sends calls to the designated operator's number (hitting 0 or dialing the individual's extension) straight to VM.  I temporarily changed the operator to my extension (which works dialing through AA as did every other extension I checked) and it worked.  The user was originally a local account on CUC.  I renamed this account and changed the extension to a nonexistent number, and then imported the operator's account from CUCM (like the majority of the accounts are setup).  The symptoms remained the same as if the problem is tied to that extension.  Any thoughts/suggestions/next steps?

  • Unity Connection 8.6 call transfer to non-unity extension

I have converted from Unity to Unity Connection and am looking for a solution for transferring an incoming call to a non-unity user extension.
Here is the scenario:  An PSTN caller calls in and is directed to a Unity Connection Call Handler or a Subscriber greeting.  In the greeting they are advised that if they know the extension they want to call, they can dial it at any time.  Here is the rub, if they dial an extension for a user listed in Unity Connection, the call gets transferred to the extension.  However, if the extension dialed is to an extension that is not a Unity Connection User, the attendant comes back and say the extension is not understood.
In Unity before conversion, I would make an internet user that did not have a mailbox but was listed with an extension.  However, with Unity Connection, I am using LDAP integration with Microsoft AD and I don't see a method of doing the same thing.
Is anyone else doing something like this or know of a method to do it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Gene Keel

In the greeting check this box:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers
also make sure the number entered by the call is allowed in Default System Transfer restriction table.

  • Is it possible to transfer an active call from a PLAR line to another extension? CUCM 9.1

We have multiple PLAR's set up that work great but not everyone has them on their phone. So the problem arises when someone who does not have a certain PLAR on their phone and wants to join the conversation. We had hoped that we could transfer/conference the call on the PLAR to the extension of the person who does not have it on their phone but get a busy tone as soon as the transfer key is pressed. Is this at all possible?

I am going to assume that you provisioned PLAR by using a "null" translation pattern (i.e. pattern with no digits). And that the phones will automatically connect to the PLAR destination when they go off hook.
When you try to do a transfer, the CUCM digit analysis process will use the same CSS logic as it does for a standard/direct call. So, the behavior you are observing is expected. You can't use a PLAR line as if it was a regular phone line.
Your scenario has sparked my curiosity. In my experience, PLAR lines are usually added to common area phones outside of a secure area or something similar. It sounds like you are using PLAR as secondary lines on user stations. I may be mis-interpreting your scenario but I am inclined to think that you may be better served by using other UCM features. More information about your requirements would be needed to give you proper guidance.
If interested then please share more info. Otherwise, the answer to your original question concerning PLAR is that it doesn't work the way you want it too.

  • Exchange AA transfer to extension to Lync 2013

I'm having issues getting the Exchange AA to transfer to extensions when using key mapping. Basically you can say a person's name and it will transfer to their extension just fine but not with the key mapping.
We are using Exchange 2010 SP3 RU4 with Lync 2013 Hosting Pack.
I found the issue but not sure how to go about resolving it.
    Lync User: [email protected]
    Lync Extension: +15554443333;ext=151
    Exchange Extension: 151
Dial plan in Lync 2013 will convert 3-digit numbers to: +15554443333;ext=$1 for these users
Each company has their own dial plan. This particular dial plan in Lync translates the 3-digit to the full number. The problem is the transfer from Exchange AA to Lync doesn't seem to use the user's dial plan. I also cannot put a translation on the Exchange
side to do this type of format: +15554443333;ext=$1
It looks like with the key mapping it is trying to transfer to this:
    REFER-TO: <sip:151;[email protected];user=phone>
    P-ASSERTED-IDENTITY: <sip:[email protected]>
But of course that doesn't exist. The SIP for this user is sip:[email protected]
I ran the Lync Debugging utility and saw this:

  • Can't 1 touch transfer to extensions beginning with *

We have the 500S expansion cards and can't transfer to any extension beginning with *.
So if we want to 1 touch transfer to a parking lot at *3103 we have to press bxfer and then the blf key..
Wouldn't it be simpler to just enable this function to allow us to 1 touch transfer to extensions beginning with *?
This also keeps us from 1 touch transfering directly to someones voicemail, queues, and other feature codes.
This is affecting Asterisk and Freeswitch.

    For 1 customer??
What about for millions of customers that use asterisk and freeswitch?
I don't know why you guys haven't received more feedback on this topic.. I would have thought this is something that would make life easier for people and I can't understand why someone would want to NOT be able to 1 touch transfer to *.
They must have paid alot of money to get this feature turned around because it doesn't seem like a normal bug/feature request.
It's almost like saying, "Hey can you make it so that when I hit the blf for extensions over 4 digits in length, put the active call on hold before dialing the extension."
Is this something that cisco will move on ever?

  • Call Hander transfer not working properly when extension dialed

In testing my call handers I have found that if you dial an extenstion during the greeting it only transfer to that extension when that extension has mailbox configured on the system.  If the extension in call manager does not have a voice mailbox configured in Unity Connection then the transfer does not work.
When you dial our main number, the greeting tells the caller that if they know there parties extension they can dial it any time.  This only works for extensions that have mailboxes.
Do I need to configure mailbox's for every phone even if they are not getting voice mail?  Phones such as breakroom or conference room?

If you're running CUC 7 you just need this:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers—Check this check box to allow callers to transfer to extensions that are not assigned to other users or call handlers. Connection attempts a release transfer as long as the number entered by the caller is allowed by the Default System Transfer restriction table.

  • Transfer to extension from personal voicemail greeting

I would like callers to be able to transfer to another extension if they reach someone's voicemail.
    For example:
You've reached Bob Lawbla. I'm not in the office today. If you need immedate assistance please press 111 to be transferred to my assistant. Otherwise, please leave me a detailed message with your shoe size and the average combined age of your pets.

    Garrett,
Users cannot break out of the voice mail once they land to a vm extension.
Changing this has been discussed with marketing but currently no plans to change the call routing behavuar.
    Regards,
    Randy
