Extensions are not installing: Error code 1

I have just installed Adobe Exchange panel, but can not install any extension. I get this error on Photoshop: “Installation failed with error code: 1. The zxp installer has been copied to your documents folder”. If I try to install from that folder on My Documents, Adobe Extension manager reports "The extension is not valid. Extension won't install” (I'm translating from Spanish).
I have tried "free" and "Creative Cloud suscribers" extensions with no luck, from the Adobe Exchange panel and just by launching the extension packs: nothing works.
My Extension manager version: 6.0.5.9 (Adobe Extension Manager CS6)
OS: Windows 7, 64 bits (service pack 1)

I can't install this extension with my account at present. Please generate log files using the steps below:
1. Open Finder.
2. Navigate to "Applications/Utilities".
3. Double click "Terminal.app" to launch it.
4. In the Terminal window, input the following command (including double quotation mark) then press "return" key.
cd "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS6/Adobe Extension Manager CS6.app/Contents/MacOS"
5. Input the following command then press "return" key.
sudo touch ExManLog.YES
6. When being prompted, input the password of administrator user then press "return" key. A file named "ExManLog.YES" should have been created in this folder.
7. Try to install extension.
8. After installation failure, exit Extension Manager.
9. Get log files from "/Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6/". Note that the folder "/Users/<UserName>/Library/" is hidden by default. You can open Finder, press "option" key when click menu item "Go"->"Library" to go into this folder.

Extensions Are Not Installed and Then Shown Again

Hi,
I am updating Jdeveloper 11.1.1.1.4 and there are 4 extensions that are not installed and show again every time:
Repository Harverster
AIA Service Constructor
AIA Composite Application Framework 2.4
Fusion Developer Guide update
The problem is much more in that this kind of issue with updates was in Jdeveloper since its beginning, than is the immediate need for this 4 extensions. Is there a reliable way to manage this issues? Why One should rely on a software with so basic and persistent problems?

Hi Fabio,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having troubles with these extensions. After looking at each of the extensions, it appears that they are being installed, but they are not placing a jar file into the /jdev/extensions folder which is what JDeveloper is looking for in order to determine if they are up to date or not.
I've filed a bug against each of the extensions.
This is not an issue with the larger IDE itself, or even the functionality of these 4 extensions actually. It's a bug in how these extensions are being packaged by their development team.

Latest update for creative cloud will not install error code 1 HOW TO FIX THIS????

I CAN NOT GET cc UPDATE STALLS AT 43% AND GIVES ((ERROR CODE 1 )) AS THE REASON??????

1) Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
Under Program and Features list, locate the option : Adobe Creative Cloud and uninstall the same.
2) Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
3) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
4) Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
5) Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud setup file and use the same to install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Qick time will not install (error code 3)

When I try to open up itunes my computer tells me that my version of quicktime is not up to date and to reinstall itunes and quicktime. Itunes installs fine but when quicktime starts to install an error comes up saying error code 3. The install window for quicktime closes after the message comes up and I'm still not able to get onto itunes. If anyone know what the problem is it would be great if they could tell me.

This error code comes up whevener I try to install starcraft 2. Recently, I deleted all files assoicated with the game, then reinstalled it. Now it is not working. Does anyone have a solution to this?

That error message seems pretty clear to me, especially the part about contacting the vendor's tech support. What did they tell you?

Extensions are not installing properly...

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, Dreamweaver CS6 with latest updates, and for the life of me, can not get a single extension (thats right, none, zip, nada, nothing) installed an useable.
I have run a few diagnostics, including complete reinstalls, clearing of cache, ensuring removal of all located Dreamweaver user configuration files, and still no luck.
The extensions install with no error, but nothing shows in the menus.
It looks like all the right files are coppied to the correct locations, but when the startup scripts are run to complete the process, nothing appears to happen, the scripts get deleted, and I am left with no change to the menu options.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....

Yes, I am installing the extesnions correctly... The extensions have been checked and confirmed compatible with CS6, I have the latest verson of Dreamweaver CS6 Cloud (Includeding Extension Manager CS6), and all updates. Java is up to data, and so is windows. (Even reduced the security profile of Java for a test install to make sure.)

Yes. UAC is completely disabled, and I have tried running as administrator, for the initial install, the upgrade to the latest versions, and the extension installs. I have also disabled antivirus, firewalls, and any other locally installed software that has the potential to get in the way, and many that dont for good measure.
The install of the extensions succeeds, as in I can see the extension files in the dreamweaver configuration folder location, including the scripts to initialise them on startup of dreamweaver. However, when the startup scripts run, nothing else seems to happen... and the initialisation scripts simply disappear.

Windows 8.1 (full version) Not Installing- Error Code 0x80040155

Was downloading windows 8.1 overnight expecting to complete in the morning and it did not.
Had to go to work so I disconnected and stopped the download. I went home and tried to continue the download/install and it gives me an error: 0x80040155
This is very frustrating, I tried to cancel the download and restart the download and same issue. I also tried restarting the computer several times and everything is up to date but it still produces the same error.
Very Frustrating!

This error occurs if one of your system components has become corrupted, or has not been registered correctly when installing/uninstalling service packs or other applications. Any detailed information about this failed installation that prompted for
you?
To eliminate some potential problems, I suggest you follow the tips below:
Download and run the
Upgrade Assistant first.
Temporarily disable your antivirus, antimalware, firewall, etc.
Keep enough disk space for downloaded and installed files.
Delete the temp files of the failed installation.
Perform the installation in Clean boot mode.

That's what I get if I run the setup file.
I have tried to run it from the creative installer, but nowhere do I see the option.
I have tried under Custom installation.
Card is X-fi Fatalty Xtreme Gamer, and it's listed on the box.

Cannot embed pdfs in MS Word doc which are PDF Version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x) [This is associated with Adobe Reader 9]. Getting 'program not installed' error.

Pdfs with other versions are okay:
Tested successfully with Adobe Pro 9 (Version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)), Reader X (Version 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x)) and XI (Version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x))
Also cannot open embedded pdfs which have been embedded with this version (getting a similar error).
Importantly I have removed/disabled all security options in Adobe Reader, following numerous internet suggestions from Adobe and elsewhere. This does not fix the problem.
Currently the work around is to re-save the pdf with something other than Adobe Reader 9 (so the version updates), but we would prefer not to do this for all the old pdfs we have.
