Extensions not loading

I am constantly getting an error message when attempting to intall extensions for Safari. These are all downloaded through the Apple extension site, and the error message is always the same: Safari cannot load this extension. An error occurred while installing the extension "xyz." Does anyone know how to fix this? I am using Safari 7.0.3 and OSX 10.9.2. Thanks.
A bit more information: my ~/Library/Safari/Extensions folder has a red bar on it, which probably means it can't be accessed. Seems like this is the problem. The folder is empty. Will it be regenerated if I trash it?

Solved my own problem...Changed permissions on the Extensions folder. Everything OK now.

Extensions not loading on startup

I am having an issues with Add-ons and Extensions not loading when I start Firefox, in order to get them working I have to manually disable then enable to get them to load.
I have tried disabling each extension to see if one was interfering but to no avail.
The only extensions that are not effected by this issue are ones that require Firefox to be restarted whenever they are enabled or disabled.
Using Elementary OS Luna (Ubuntu Linux 32 bit) and Firefox is at its latest version.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

Saprfc extension not loaded

Hi PHP Fans,
I know this not really a SAP related question it's more Apache/PHP related but maybe somebody of you got simlar problems and was able to fix them.
I use Apache 2.0 on Win2k Professional and just got saprfc. After some problems with the extension and a PHP patch of php5ts.dll everything seemed to work fine when starting the Apache Webserver. But when I tried saprfc_test.php out of saprfc download it says saprfc extension is not loaded.
Is any PHP freak outside here in the forum who has an idea?

I didn't try from the CLI, but since phpinfo() works and shows the correct path, I excluded Apache problems. By the way your suggestion confirms that somehow the dll is seen but not loaded.
PHPRC variable was already correctly set to:
C:ProgrammiPHP

I tried as suggetsed a new installation from scratch of both php and saprfc but nothing changes.

Preview - Print system dialog extension - not loading and I cannot change the quality and media of printing

So whenever I try to print using Preview, I get the following error -

Unfortunately there is no later version of driver for your iP1700. The 10.51.1 version you have, which was released to support Mac OS X 10.7, was the last version that Canon released.
Checking the supported printers list for the Gutenprint driver package, which is an alternate suite of drivers supporting many different vendors, the iP1700 is also missing from the list. But it is listed as a supported model with the PrintFab driver package, however there is a cost involved in obtaining PrintFab.
Note that your issue is caused by sandboxing and there are some who have relaxed the security on their Mac by changing the sandboxing function, which is not really recommended. Given the iP1700 was released in 2006 and inks for this printer will soon become harder to obtain then I would suggest you look at getting a new printer.

OpenOffice extensions not loading

I'm trying to add extensions in the extension manager in a freshly downloaded openoffice-base. Whenever I try to add one (trying to get the dictionaries to load currently), I keep getting an error message saying:
The operation on file:/usr/lib/openoffice/share/extension/install/dict-en.oxt was started with an invalid parameter.
I tried downloading other dictionaries, and I get the same error (with the correct path name). I also get this error when I try to add extensions that are not dictionaries, but are included in the same dicectory as those. I looked around on the forum, and I couldn't find anything similar to what I'm going through. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing, but I'm not sure what's going on here. Any help is greatly appreciated!

ZOPSignCmd Extensions Not Loading In Photoshop CC 2014 Windows

I have an unexpected problem. I have been redeploying my Configurator extensions into HTML5 extensions for Photoshop CC 2014.
I have two extensions that are packaged together using Davide Barranca's excellent tutorial on how to package extensions (http://www.davidebarranca.com/2014/05/html-panels-tips-10-packaging-zxp-installers/).
If I install the two extensions separately, they both install into Photoshop. If I package the extensions together in a ZXP file, Extension Manager CC shows that they have been installed, but when I open Photoshop CC 2014, Extensions is grayed out (this is on Windows 7). When I take the same extension package and try to install on a Mac into Photoshop CC 2014, they install fine.
What is strange about the above is two weeks ago I was doing the same thing and the packaged ZXP file installed fine into Windows 7 Photoshop CC 2014 (I have made some changes to the extensions and this is why I am re-testing them).
The only change that has occurred between the two versions is some re-editing of the postscripts.jsx file. Everything else is the same including the MXI file.
I am not a Windows person, so I am at a complete loss as to why something worked and now is not working.
If anyone can give me some insight into what is happening I would be eternally grateful.

In the Windows 7 computer I just have Photoshop CC 2014 no Photoshop CC.

Photoshop CS6 Extensions not loading

Extensions menu in PS CS6 is grayed out. I've tried removing Adobe CS completely, reinstalling Extensions Manager, deleting prefs...

I have the same problem, only extension window flashes and disappears when it is launched in PS. PS CC2014 and extension manager fully updated from the cloud.
I tried to install Adobe Kuler extension and it also does not work as described above. Extensions do not work at all.

JDeveloper: Extension not loading properly after re-start

1) I downloaded the bpm-jdev-extension.zip, soa-jdev-extension.zip from http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml
(Having issues directly to update)
2) Installed as a local file (Help ---> Check for updates) successfully.
3) Restarted JDeveloper after the prompt.
4) When I clicked File---> New, cannot find SOA and BPM application!!!
Can anyone help me why this is the case?

When you go into tools->preferences->extensions
Do you see the Oracle SOA Composite Editor extension in the list?
If not then it wasn't installed. Verify that you are downloading the right version of the extension according to the minimum required version.

Safari Extensions not loading initially

Ciao,
I use Alfred to launch Safari 5.0.4, and have extensions enabled. However, when Safari opens initially none of the extensions work. A workaround I have found is that if I select History > Reopen All Windows from Last Session, a new Safari window opens, my tabs are created, and then in that window all the extensions work perfectly. Is there any way to have the extensions work from the start of my original session? What exactly is getting triggered in Safari when I reopen the saved windows? Perhaps I can replicate this in a script and assign a shortcut to it and then just use a Quicksilver Trigger to launch Safari each time.

Try deleting the Alfred app by dragging it to the Trash. Restart your Mac, try Safari. You can always re download the app following the instructions here.
Sometimes reinstalling an app can make a difference.
You could also try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file (preferences)
Quit Safari. Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. See if that makes a difference. Alfred may have caused an incompatibility issue with Safari preferences.

In the Finder, hold down the option key and select

Preferences error: Could not load preference pane

Many times, when I attempt to load a Preference Pane, I receive the error message: "Preferences Error: Could not load [X] preference pane.” Clicking “OK” and reopening the preference pane succeeds.
Does anyone know what's going on here? I upgraded to Yosemite from a Snow Leopard installation, which I assume is part of the problem.

Developement Mode extensions are not loaded by Photoshop CC after 14.2 update

I keep my HTML5 extensions in /Users/myaccount/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEPServiceManager4/extensions.
I do have Debug Mode enabled using cli tool: https://github.com/davidderaedt/CCEXTCLI/blob/master/setdebugmode.sh
In manifest.xml I have "<Host Name="PHXS" Version="[14.1,14.9]" /><Host Name="PHSP" Version="[14.1,14.9]" />"
I do have all required settings in Preferences->Plug-ins enabled (allow extensions/panels/internet connection)
Before 14.2:
Everything was fine, all extensions were loaded without any problems.
14.2:
No extensions are loaded, no errors are reported, it just seems that Photoshop CC does not load any extensions
When I install same extension using .zxp package then Extension Manager installs extension correctly and it is working so its not extension code issue I guess.
My system information:

Is it possible to temporary rollback to 14.1.2?

The problem was that I had nested directory structure of extension like: ".../extensions/extension-folder/something/else/CSXS/manifest.xml" -> I changed directory structure to have ".../extensions/extension-folder/CSXS/manifest.xml" and it solved the issue. Nevertheless Photoshop 14.1.2 was accepting deeply nested directory structure of extension and 14.2 does not. I found also another issue but I will post it in another discussion.

Starting your Mac in "Safe Mode" (see below) will load only Apple-provided kernel extensions. Observing its perfomance in that mode will be instructive.
The problems you describe are likely to have been caused by garbage software of which "TechTool Pro" is only one example. That system has been altered from its factory configuration through the installation of several third party system modifications, any one of which can cause poor performance. Interaction between two or more is another possibility. Running a torrent client is another way of inviting malware intrusion.
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.

Extensions are not loaded while boot

I have the problem, that the driver für my firewire audio interface and the driver for my dsp cards are not loaded while booting the system...
How can I activate these extensions?

Are you talking about kext's? Did you check that they are even there (look in /System/Library/Extensions or type kextstat in terminal).

I do not have a copy of the OS X 10.6.8 software. It is second hand so I have no product vendor to contact.

You recently updated iTunes to v.11.4? This message has popped up on many a Mac screen when this version was first made available, because this kext was obviously faulty.
You should try to download iTunes 11.4 again from Apple's website: the new version bears the same name, but this kernel extension has been updated, and the issues it was causing are now a thing of the past.
Should solve your problem, too...
