Extensions seems still enabled but missing in extensions menu

After upgrading firefox to version 8, I was expecting the one time "Select your Add Ons" dialog to appear. This did not happen, instead I got a script error from one of my extensions "Zotero" and firefox failed to start.
I restarted firefox and it opened ok but Zotero appeared disabled (had a yellow exclaimation triangle icon over it). I went to Firefox->Add Ons->Extensions to see if it was disabled or incompatable but found that the window was empty with the message "You don't have any add ons of this type installed". now have several add ons which are still working (Firebug, Video Download Helper definitely still working) even though I cannot see them in the "Extensions" Menu and therefore have no way to disable/enable them.

Self-solved!  I work in column view in Finder so get there in a Finder window with folders and files appearing.
There really is no problem, just select an ITEM in the COLUMN before right-clicking!
The "old" context menu will appear. If you click in the white space in that column (or anywhere in a Finder window) and then place the cursor over a folder or file WITHOUT selecting it and right-click you will bring up the secondary context menu - Open, Copy, Duplicate, View Options and a greyed out Labels option. No "Move to Trash".

  • I got some extensions before i update, after i update, the extension is still on but i cant find the extensions in the add-ons manager

    some of my extensions is flagfox, greasemonkey, easy youtube downloader and some other which i cannot remember

    It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
    Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

    If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

  • Safari can't install this extension because Extensions are disabled. Extensions can be enabled in Safari's Extensions preferences.

    i have this problem. Anyone can help me?

    Ok...
    Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left.
    Now open the LIbrary folder then the Safari folder then the Extensions folder.
    Move the Extensions.plist file from the Extensions folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.
    See if that helped.

  • Adobe extension show in the Extension Manager and are enabled but do not appear at all in Photoshop CC 2014.

    Adobe extensions show in the Extension Manager and are enabled but do not appear at all in Photoshop CC 2014.  Third party extensions do show up and can be used.  All extensions are available in and can be used Photoshop CC.  I have reinstalled CC and Extension Manager to the most recent releases and the Adobe extensions are still not available in Photoshop CC 2014.  What should I do now?

    Flash based extensions are not supported by PS CC 2014 anymore. Please refer to http://blogs.adobe.com/photoshopdotcom/2014/04/photoshop-spring-cleaning.html, http://blogs.adobe.com/jkost/2014/06/installing-the-2014-release-of-creative-cloud.html

  • I have disabled all add ons and extensions to stop adverts but everytime I log into my pc the adverts appear again? not happy :(

    since I updated firefox I have been HOUNDED by adverts. I read an article that suggested disabling all add ons and extensions but they seem to enable themselves again after I open my pc! I am very careful and always tick and untick boxes when I am downloading updating anything to ensure this doesn't happen therefore these add ons seem to have been automatically added by firefox during the update. not cool! the amount of adverts and the fact I have never suffered from such a pop up invasion in my life is becoming EXTREMELY annoying how do i permanently stop these adverts?

  • Basic code editor tools missing? Extensions?

    Is there really no batch search-and-replace, GREP replacement, or HTML element autocompletion? Assumed this 'new' tool could perform at least at a level the code editor DW CS3 (or earlier?) could... love the idea of the in-place related file editor but without these basic features I'm back to BBEdit for now.
    Also: thought maybe adding extensions would expand functionality, but there dont seem to be any??? Is there a resource somewhere, as the Code forum returns 0 results as does Google.

    Hi Aaron,
    Well, there's a reason we call it a "preview release" rather than "1.0" :-)  There are plenty of features that aren't thre or aren't fully polished yet... but actually many of the things you mentioned are available already:
    "GREP replacement" -- I assume you mean search-replace using a regexp?  If you open the Replace bar you can use regexps (note the label next to the input field describing the "/.../" syntax).
    HTML element code hinting -- You should get code hints for tag names and attribute names.  If you're not seeing that, can you share your HTML file so we can investigate?
    There's also CSS code hinting in the latest Edge Code, fwiw.  And there will be JS code hinting in the bext release.
    Extensions are listed on the main open source project page, here: https://github.com/adobe/brackets/wiki/Brackets-Extensions.  We're working on building a more polished extension browse/install experience, however.
    The one thing on your list that's missing is search-replace across multiple files at once.  You can track our progress on that or upvote the user story here, in our Trello backlog.
    Hope that helps,
    - Peter

  • Argh... CS5 and still need to install CF9 extensions manually!?

    I just installed my copy of Creative Suite 5.  I use Dreamweaver primarily, but do a lot of work coding ColdFusion 9 applications.
    Seriously?  No CF9 tag support in CS5?  I STILL have to download an extension that doesn't even work 100% and still creates code errors to be able to code CF9 using Dreamweaver?  What a pain in the ***.
    Come on Adobe... you can't even integrate your own products into each other properly?
    Test example:
    Install CS5
    Open Dreamweaver
    Type <cfcontinue> (a new to CF9 tag).
    Result: Dreamweaver won't recognize it as a valid tag.
    Workaround attempt:
    Download and install the CF9 extenstions for Dreamweaver (which were not developed by Adobe, if I recall correctly.)
    Open Dreamweaver
    Type <cfcontinue>
    Result: Even with the extensions installed, CF9 tags are not always supported.

    I disagree with the "flexibility" response for the need of a plug in.  If only being able to install extensions for the things you need were the case, then there would be NO built in languages installed.  There are HUNDREDS of features built into Dreamweaver that I do not need, and will never use.  They exist because somebody, somewhere needs it.  It seems foolish that the functionality they elect not to include is the functionality that is required by another one of Adobe's products.
    But I can live with that... as long as the extension is of decent quality and works exactly as I need it to.  The current plug in for Dreamweaver for CF9 is poor quality.
    Example 1:  It doesn't recognize the cfcontinue tag.  (What good is a version plug in if it doesn't support all of the tags in the version?)
    Example 2: Open a new file.  Type <cfgrid>.  Right click and select "edit tag", give the grid a name and click "Ok".  You get a CF error saying that the tag does not support the attribute "COLAPSIBLE".  The plug in writes code that doesn't work!
    I can keep going... I can think of at least four more instances where the plug in writes incorrect code, extraneous attributes, or won't recognize valid tags.
    (By the way, some of the errors in the plug in were reported when the CF8 plug in was introduced, and the exact same errors carried over to the CF9 plug in.)
    So even if I were to buy that the plug in gives me more flexibility to have only what I want installed with the program, it doesn't change the fact that the plug in itself sucks.

  • Problem in enabling/disabling Custom JDeveloper Extension

    Hi,
    I've been trying to develop an extension for JDeveloper version 11.1.1.3/11.1.1.4 which i should be able to enable/disable from Tools->Preferences->Extensions section. However the problem i'm facing is that, after installing the newly developed extension, if i try to disable it by unchecking it from the Tools>Preferences->Extensions list, it does not show up in the extensions list after JDeveloper restarts. Therefore if i want to enable it again, i'm not able to do that because it is not available in the list.
    Trouble is that even if i reinstall it again (from Help->Check for updates) it does not appear in the list, and it does not work either because JDeveloper is treating the extension as disabled.
    I've kept my extension.xml simple for now:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <extension xmlns="http://jcp.org/jsr/198/extension-manifest" id="oracle.ide.sampleextension" version="11.1.1" esdk-version="1.0">
    <name>Sample Extension</name>
    <owner>Oracle</owner>
    <hooks>
    *<feature-hook>*
    *<description>Sample Extension</description>*
    *<optional>true</optional>*
    *</feature-hook>*
    </hooks>
    </extension>
    My bundle.xml is:
    <update-bundle version="1.0" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/updatebundle" xmlns:u="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/update">
    <u:update id="oracle.ide.sampleextension">

    </u:requirements>
    </u:update>
    </update-bundle>
    I've done a lot of troubleshooting on this issue but in vain. I could not find any help on google either. Can anyone please help me on this?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Suhail,
    Can you zip up your project folder and send it to me in email? I'll look it over and try to find the issue.
    email is: john<DOT>brock<AT>oracle<DOT>com
    I'm not quite sure what is is going on, but I suspect that the extension.xml file is to simple. Not even sure what I mean by that just yet. I want to take a look at see what is in the extension.xml file compared to some of the more basic extensions that I have created for demos and blogs, etc.
    Go ahead and send me the source and I'll take a look.
    Is there a reason that you are staying on 11.1.1.3 by the way? We are up to 11.1.1.5 right now in the 11gR1 release. I'm not aware of a bug like this, but it could be something in the older version.

  • Trying to load server behaviour but problem with extension manager

    I keep downloading the server behaviour extension from exchange which tells me that I need the latest version of the the extension manager.  I have the latest version of extension  downloaded through the cloud.  But when I go to windows  - manage extensions , it goes to the cloud panel and shows me that extension manager is up to date, and not ot the extension manager.   So now I can't access server behaviours which is the reason I use DW in the first place.  I have  windows 7 , 4gb ram, DW CC.

    Please click "Tools"->"Preferences" menu item in Extension Manager CC, check "Enable detailed logging" option. Restart Extension Manager. Try to install the extension. After the error message pops up, quit Extension Manager. Send the log files under "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log" folder to [email protected]
    Note that the "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData" folder is hidden by default. You have to check "Organize"->"Folder and search options"->"View"->"Show hidden files, folders, and drives".

  • Updated to the new firefox 4.0. completely screwed up comp. Had to pay to have an old firefox reinstalled, trying to uninstall extensions and add ons but am unable to do it from the add ons and extension screen. need help

    I keep selecting the uninstall button on the screen but the restart firefox now button only comes up every once in awhile. I've restarted firefox several times but the addons and extensions are still there with the options of disabling or uninstalling available for selection. All extensions and addons worked just fine before upgrading to 4.0. Am really frustrated and disappointed with Mozilla Firefox because of this situation.

    ONS15454 Multishelf running REL 7.22. There are two MXP_MR_10DME cards in shelf one and two MXP_MR_10DME cards in shelf two. On the MXP_MR_10DME cards in shelf one there is a Distance Extension Tab when you select Provisioning in Card View but on the MXP_MR_10DME cards in shelf two the Distance Extension Tab is missing. Exactly the same on another node, Distance Extension present on shelf one but missing on shelf two. As far as I can tell all the cards have the same HW Part # etc.

    Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
    Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
    Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.

    As I understand it, in order to use an SSIS package as a data source in a report, I need to enable the SSIS extension in the RSReprotDesigner.config and RSReportServer.config files.  That extension is in neither of these files. I have SSIS running on

    The SSIS data extension was a non-production feature in SQL 2008. Due to an unreconcilable underlying security concern with the data extension, it was removed from 2008 R2. I believe the underlying data extension is still availabe on the disk, you would
    need to manually add the entry to the server configuration file as noted in the following article. If you do, suggest you ensure that you trust the content of the SSIS packages being executed.

    I've upgraded to Yosemite on my 2013 MacBook Pro, my 2012 Mac Mini and my 2013 iMac.  The iMac is my main work machine but the markup extension is not installed.  There are no "Actions" listed.  It installed on my two other computers but not this one (although each of the other computers have differing extensions...which also concerns me).
    Do I have to go somewhere to find the extension and download it?
