Both the options I mentioned earlier are valid for you. Only way to access existing ABAP transaction from a browser is using ITS 'webgui' service. Unless you want to completely re-write user interface for these transactions (even SAP has not been successful in doing so, otherwise they would have done it by now). ITS is free and you can install it very quickly, only thing to remember is WGATE should be installed on a system which is accessible to external users.
If you can configure or have already configured VPN for your organization then you can provide GUI to you external users and they can access these transaction using GUI like you do.

I still recommend Patch2.x , also the BICS correction is must-have in long term.
You need to save the BEx query in Designer with property "Allow external acess to Query"
Viewer preferences are set in BILaunchPad settings , not CMC
Java version can have impact - but anything in 1.6.0_x range is fine with IE 7 / 8
You also need to make sure your APS server (that contains the DSLBridge service) is running.
You also need to make sure that your user credentials in the BICS logon string have sufficient SAP Authorizations added to your Role, to be able to read the InfoArea nodes as seen in RSA1 in BW.
You also need to have a compatible BW version: 7.01 (EhP1) SP07 and above. (08 / 09 recommended)

When i tried today for the same table i am getting the shortdump description(below), I have noticed that the number have changed from 026 to 055, any thoughts why it happen and how it can be resolved?

How to Acess iPhoto Library in External Hard Drive thru Airport Extreme and iPad

My iPhoto library is currently in an external hard drive that's connected to an Airport Extreme. I want to be able to access this library thru my iPad. Is there any way to accomplish this? I have spent endless hours online looking for an answer, but so far I have not found it.

It may sound like a stretch, but there are so many people who have already solved more complex tasks than this one.
I can't believe the only solution to this problem is to use LogMeIn/GotoMyPC or other remote control applications to access the library thru my MacBook Pro. There is also an app for iPhones called NetPortalFile and I can view the individual pictures (but it ***** because I can only see one at a time and my wife has 60,000 pics...). Almost there with solutions, not integrated all yet that I know of and that's why I am asking.
I'll keep waiting, maybe someone has already figured it out or they are working on an app :)

My WD external hard drive is no longer show up on my computer-it no longer recognizes it.

I have a WD external hard drive for sometime that I have been using to backup my computer and generally keep some of my bigger things on it(such as degital copies of movies). But suddenly one day my computer won't recognize my external hard drive when I went to plug it in. The light on it that is on when it is plugged in is on when I do plug it in, yet I can't actually find and acess my external hard drive. I don't know whats wrong and how to fix it so I can continue using my hard drive.

When I try to access files on my external hard drive on one macbook, it says I have insufficient access privileges. I use the external hard drive on my other macbook and it works fine. How can I fix this problem?

I've tried looking the answer up on google, but I've come up empty handed. Do I need to change permissions somewhere? I've tried setting everyone to have read and write acess on both machines and that didn't work either.
My macbook that works perfectly with the hard drive is running snow leopard. the other macbook is running leopard. i'm not 100% certain what brand my external is but it says firewire800/usb2.0 on it.

Me compre un ipod classic de 160gb cada vez que trato de ponerle musica de mi disco duro externo solo copia hasta 1500 canciones y luego me congela el Itune y no lo puedo cerrar, me pide que restaure el ipod como de fabrica, lo hago y nada. Trato de cerrar el programa de itune y no me deja, trato de apagar el computador y no lo puedo apagar, he buscado para ver si tiene errores el disco del Ipod y me dice que esta bien. Lo he restaurado como 8 veces y le he puesto musica y videos pero siempre me borra todo. He aplastado Menu y Seleccion para entrar al sistemade diagnostic o del ipod y le pongo el test manual donde entro al IO y me dice q todo esta bien. Le he dado ya varios Format directamente desde el Windows 7 y nada tampoco, siempre me borra todo desde que pasan mas de 1300 canciones y me congeal todo el equipo. SAP Web Repository, how can acess it from outside

and it says this:
"You use a Web repository (manager) to provide read access to documents stored on remote Web servers."
This could be really useful to me, but how does this work? I'm able to add objects to it using the transaction SMW0 but how can I get a valid url so that the users in my network can acess these files.
the only FM I know is 'DP_PUBLISH_WWW_URL' but this generates a kind of links that my browser can't process (something like SAPR3://WebRepository/0123456789/ZMY_FILE?Version=00001")
How can I do to create valid links to these documents, so that I can open them im my web browser??

though they have the same name, they are different! The SAP library you mention is about Knowledge Management.
If you want to generate an external URL for the Web Repository (SMW0), first read Note 865853 - WebReporting/WebRFC obsolete as of NW2004s. I don't know your SAP release, but if you are on a 7.0, you need to "release for internet" WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT function module via SMW0, and probably activate /sap/bc/webrfc service using SICF transaction. Then you'll be able to access your ZZZZZ web document using URL like this: http://youserver:port/sap/bc/webrfc/!?_function=WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT&_object_id=ZZZZZ&client=220&language=EN
Note: DP is only for allowing the HTML browser (and other SAPGUI controls) to access objects transmitted from SAP to the SAPGUI using the Data Provider service.

How can i get Itunes to route my music to an external hard drive once my Internal drive is full?

My Internal hard drive is getting full and im starting to worry about how i will store tracks in the future. I have my itunes set to auto organize the files into the Music folder when dragged into Itunes. I am a DJ, so i do get music quiet frequently that i need to add to Itunes for My DJ Software, Serato, To read. Is there anyway i can have Itunes begin rerouting the new songs onto an external HD? and can i play songs from two different hard drives with itunes open? Example, Song A is on internal.. once i finish listening to it or having serato acess it, If i then want to play Song B, which is on an external HD, will Itunes need to "Relocate the file" or will it remember its stored on the connected External HD?

One way to execute an external program is to use the System Exec.vi. You find it in the functions pallet under Communication.

Consuming external webservice in webdynpro

I am trying to consume a webservice "BORM_API_A1S_GET_UPD_SW_VECTOR" in webdynpro, it is an external webservice
i have followed the below steps and ended up with an error
Steps:
1) created a Adaptive web service model
2) got the WSDL source from "Remotelocation/fileSystem"
3) given the WSDL URL Acess as "e:///C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\BORM_API_A1S_GET_UPD_SW_VECTOR.wsdl"
4) created a service group
5) then i have done the " model to controller" binding and "controller to view" binding
6) in the INIT method of controller i have creted the instance of the model and binded it to the context element
7) set some some values in the init methiod(for input parameters)
8) designed a view to get the values that are set into the input parameters
9) Configured the service group
i am getting an error saying
"*java.io.IOException: Cannot connect to https://service.sap.com:443/sap/bc/bsp/spn/swdc/slm/accessctrl.do, used user to connect: S0004119795, message : Unable to connect to service.sap.com:443 - service.sap.com*"
I think i am doing wrong service confuguration
steps i have followed to Configure the service group are given below

2) SOA management-->technical information --> system connections
   here i have selected the provider systems tab, and created a new provider system of system type "Java"

Same External Hard Drive for Mac and PC?

I just bought an iMac and a Lacie external hard drive. I plan to format the Lacie for the Mac. However I'd like to use it to tranfer my files from the PC. Will the Mac formatted Lacie External Drive work with both the iMac and the PC?

Itunes folder on external drive keeps reverting back to local iTunes folder

So I have all my digital music,pictures and videos stored on an external drive. I have 3 different MBP acessing these files and itunes randomely reverts back to the default local itunes folder and then I have to change and organize all over again which includes dups that I have to manage and delete later. What a pain in the arse! Does anybody have a solution that prevents this from happening, running Lion on all 3 MBP.

They are all using the library (and by that I specifically mean the library file, not just the media files) at the same time? Maybe when one is actively using the library file it prevents the others from using it or somehow interferes and makes them think the library on the external is not usuable and they revert to the internal one.
If this is set up through some fancier nettwork then probably hte person who can answer your question will want to know the details. iTunes typically revets to default when it cannot find a library on an external drive and perhaps something is happening with the network to change the identity of the drive in the way your computer perceives it.

Premiere projects stored on external hard drive & re-editing

Hi guys, I seem to be one of the few Mac users editing on Premiere Pro 5.5 with AVCHD (from Panasonic HDC-SD700) files. Luckily I can use even the 1080p/50 files, but I have this problem: After I move the project folder (all Premiere files inc. the footage which I store copying everything from SD-cards and not changing the file names) to an external hard drive and later copy it back onto the computer for further editing, it asks where the files are. This should be fine if I know where the original file is but the problem arises as I am not renaming the footage - I understand this could be a problem with AVCHD files - and it is impossible for me to know which one of the 00000.MTS or 00004.MTS files is the correct one. (This obviously only applies to projects where I have recorded footage on more than one SD-card. In my case all the projects seem to be that big - I am an artist rather than a computer person. Apologies if the lingo is not quite right!) I tend to edit hours of footage together by speeding it up and using split-screen. Is there an easy way around this problem when saving the projects on an external hard drive or should I just start changing the file names to something like SD1clip1 without a worry? Or do I just randomly choose one of the similarly numbered clips and check if it happened to be the correct one and everything in the project falls in place? This seems silly and time-consuming too. according to other opinions in different threads NOT to put all media in one folder, i wouldn't necessarily go with this approach. sometimes it's the best you can do. and you can always manage your footage with the editing programm, creating folders and alike.
in some cases you're left with no choice - in AVID e.g. unless you use its AMA (avid media acess) interfaceand sort of soft-link to your media AVID will first transcode and then story everything in one folder by default. it then creates a little index file that tells you right away if something is missing.
personally, if i knew i have multiple folders with the same structure and file names i cannot change (cause it'd disrupt the file structure), i'd definitely put in the initial time to transcode to not to run into obstacles later on.
advantages: better codec, less choppy playback, less rendering, no relink issues
disadvantages: transcoding time, less disk space, probably larger files
sure, nowadays software is designed to avoid just that and all my conversations with PP pros showed me that the basic thought behind PP is to "just slam your footage in and start editing" - but this isn't always the wisest choice. not because the software is not able to handle the codecs - but because you'll run into problems with data structures.
plan your postproduction like you would plan a nice dinner.
chop the onions before the pan is hot.
