External allications on navigation bar ...urgent

I want to have all my external applications..
on my navigation bar in my content area, so that they can be accessed on the same page along with other folders.
How should I do it?

Pam,
another easy way is to make copies of the urls for the extenal apps. If you move your mouse over the application links in the related portlet you get the url.
If you pick up the url, you have more opportunities to integrate the links into your navigation bar layouts.

  • Please see my site about Navigation Bar Links not working

    Greetings,
    I have an urgent issue with www.ForexProFund.com and it's navigation bar links. For some reason only some of the links work in the navigation bar. I have tried and recreated new pages and moved all the content over to the new pages with no luck. I moved the nav bar to the most "forward" position and pushed everything else to the back so it's on the top for sure. You can see that on the "contact" page, the navigation bar does not work, and I have no idea why...it's the same on the "Open Account" page.
    I really need this fixed, as I am sure many of you do.
    Thanks in advance for any input or ideas.

    Hi there,
    Can you tell me how to "reduce" these things? I am not sure why some links in the nav bar and others do not...maybe I am doing something wrong? Very frustrating since Mac. does not let you simply setup a nav bar....it all has to be template based and then these types of things happen. Either way, if you have details of how to remedy this, please let me know. I tried to remove the line under the nav bar on the first two pages and still no luck.
    Thank you!

  • Multiple Transaction Type Specifications in Navigation Bar of IC web client

    Hi Experts,
    We created three transaction ZCBC-Customer Billing Complaints,
    ZCRR-Customer Refund Request and Z_SC-Service Ticket which are the
    copy of CRMC-Service Complaints with Transaction Category
    'BUS2000120 Complaint'.
    The IC Web Profile we created ZAGENT0001, Runtime profile:ZAGENT0001
    and Navigation Bar Profile:ZAGENT0001, Business TransactionProfile:
    ZBTP0001.
    The Navigation entries are ZCUSTOMER_REFUND_REQUEST-Cust. Refund,
    SERVICE_COMPLAINTS-Service Ticket, ZCBC0001-Cust. Bill. Complaint.
    Problem: In the Business Transaction Profile only one default
    transaction type (Complaint (BUS2000120)is allowed. But our
    Business Process demands to choose 3 transactions for the same
    Transaction Category where it is not supported by the Standard
    functionality.
    Advice us the possibility of choosing the 3 transactions
    where the Agent is allowed to access all the three in the
    IC Web through the navigation bar.
    Please send me a solution for that as it is very urgent.
    Thanks in advance
    Koustav

  • Iweb navigation bar not working in Internet explorer 8

    iweb 09
    I published my site to the sites folder on my imac OSX 10.6.4
    Built my own navigation bar and the links work fine in Safari & Firefox
    The only portion of the Nav bar that works in Explorer 8 is the Map Navigation which links to an external page (map quest)
    All The links work in Explorer 7 (but none of the images show up)
    Anyone have a solution
    I'm loosing it!

    External links tend to be more robust than internal. Having said that there is no good reason why this should happen in IE V8. I've certainly never had this problem.
    If they definitely don't work for you then try recreating your navigation using the URL for each page.
    What images don't show up in IE 7?

  • Clear Cache when I hit logout navigation bar item

    I want to clear all of my cache from the browser once the user logout.
    Please advise me.
    Thanks

    Hi Tony,
    I didn't get what you exactly mean.
    I have an external URL for the logout url.
    When the users clicks the logout link from the navigation bar in the application then I want to clear all of my cache from the application.
    Can you be more specific please.

  • Need to change the navigation bar direction in my site!

    I've got my site up and am working with it. I have some sense of HTML coding. My question/situation:
    I changed the name of my Home.html page to index.html so that google analytics could spider all my external and internal links. This went off with one major hitch... all the pages after the index page still send "Home" in their navigation bar to Home.html which no longer exists. Where can I find the file/feed/script or whatever to change the internal coding to direct that old Home in the navigation bar to my new index file?
    My site is www.womenswellnessmarketplace.com
    Thanks..I do realize that the themes are different in the home page and the following pages...thats my next big task!!

    Don't know what I did but it seems to be working now!

  • Cleaner Navigation with a second navigation bar

    Does anyone know if it is possible to create a second navigation section in a site and how? It will greatly help reduce clutter in the main navigation on the top of the page (Welcome, My Ablums, My Movies, ... 20 other items I plan to create). I need this specifically for a My Travels page or set of pages I would like to create. The way I envision it to work is similar to my current site. A user would click on the My Travels page which will navigate then to a page with a navigation section on the left side of the page that will list places I've been to as a navigation menu (France, Spain, Switz, Turks n C, St. Martin, Puerto Rico, Greece, etc...). They could then click on each place to get content specific to that place with pictures, etc ...
    I also didn't want to create 30 different pages (one for each place) and have to manually manange the sub navigation menu on each page. i.e. if I go to another place, I don't want to have to create a new page and have to change all of the other sites by adding a link to each navigation section ...

    It wouldn't look odd if you had the page containing the iframe having another appearance than the pages loading into the iframe. However this approach is good to link external sites but less to link your own site as the pages loading in the iframe wouldn't have any navigation bar on them. Thus if someone jumps in on one of those pages from google or whatever he wouldn't know there are other pages as well...
    I'm currently working on putting an iframe into each page which will load the menu so that you just have to change the one menu page to update the menu on the whole site instead of changing it on each page, that makes my life easier... Until now I just copied and paste it to all sites each time I changed the menu and that's really time consuming as the site is growing... That also solves the problem of embedding a page in a same looking page as the menu is only a little part of the whole page and you can make it look as it were part of the page...
    However in your case I would just make a "Travelling page" (Travelling comes up in the main menu) and on that page make make an index of all your trips (which will not appear as single pages in the main menu, Inspector PageTab, uncheck Include page in navigation menu). So when you click on Travelling page you get the list of:
    Italy
    Switzerland
    Alaska
    or whatever
    click on one of those links and you get that page, to get to another destination when looking at Italy just hit Travelling in the Main menu (nav bar) and again you're on the index site and choose another destination.
    Thus you only have to change that index page.
    Example:
    http://alyeska.altervista.org/en/Journeys.html
    hit Iceland get to the Iceland page
    hit journeys in the nav bar
    choose other destination (not many active sorry, I'm too busy on other stuff...)
    I really do think it's the easiest way...
    Regards,
    Cédric

  • Navigation bar is messed up... how to fix?

    Help! My navigation bar looks fine in iWeb, but the site shows the words in the wrong places, with pieces missing, and includes one heading (jean ann pics) that I eliminated from the navigation bar. I continue to make changes and those come out fine, but that navigation bar (just the welcome page) won't be corrected!
    site is www.mcelroykin.com
    I think that one time when it was publishing there was some kind of error, but I can't recall what it was-- I was on my way out the door...
    Any thoughts on how to fix this??
    Thanks!!!!!
    Liz (frustrated in NC)

    Yes! There are multiple versions of files like you suggested. How do I know which ones to keep?
    Well, the ones to 'keep' should be inside this folder: iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/McElroyKin/McElroyKin Blog (News)/McElroyKin Blog (News)_files. If you are viewing your iDisk's contents as icons and you have View Options set to show the icon preview, it should be possible to visually identify the navbarXnormal.png and navbarXrollover.png files to delete from other folders and to copy the correct ones from McElroyKin Blog (News)_files — but, and it's a BIG 'but', this would be a painstaking process at best, and would inevitably be prone to error.
    I'm afraid my advice is quite radical. I would delete everything in iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb (assuming McElroyKin is your only site) and publish again from iWeb.
    While you're at it, might I also offer some advice about naming your Blog page? All the rest of your naming convention is excellent (I especially like the main site name of McElroyKin), but by naming your Blog 'McElroyKin Blog (News)' you're asking for long, ugly URLs like those which are showing up — for example,
    http://web.mac.com/bakerlizzie/iWeb/McElroyKin/41F182C9-9B24-42A2-AC53-704C9EAB8 FFA/1316BA2A-99C1-44E5-8F35-0517E4AC5298.html.
    Individual blog pages will always finish with that 30-odd-character combination in their URLs, but you can prevent having another one of those earlier in the URL by avoiding certain characters which Apple recommend against using. In this case, I suspect that the parentheses in your Blog name are responsible for this long-windedness, especially when combined with spaces (which, as we all know by now, on their own result in those ugly %20s in iWeb URLs).
    Having said all this, I also have to say that I too have experienced this navigation bar problem. I found that the situation righted itself after multiple browser cache-clearings and refreshes and re-publishings. If you're anxious about following my recommendation about deleting material from your iDisk prior to re-publishing from iWeb, you could first try re-publishing a couple of times without making any further changes in iWeb. Empty Safari's cache each time. See if this clears things up. If not, then it's time for the heavy artillery.

  • Dynamic navigation bar

    Hello. I am in the process of developing a site that will be
    expanded frequently in the future. I would like to have the
    navigation bar of every page update when I add new pages. How is
    this best done? I am not planning on using a database here so I
    want to use straight html.
    Thanks, and I hope I made my question clear enough.

    A server-side include is another page that is inserted into
    your web page.
    That way when you make a change to the server-side include,
    you would only need to change it, and upload it, and not every page
    that
    it is included on.

    Be sure to read the external links for the scripting language

  • Applying a Navigation Bar to a Site

    I created a Navigation Bar and would like to apply it to all
    of the files that are on my site map. How to? Couldn't find any
    instructions in the Help files.

    I'm sorry to say that's only because you never discovered all

    Just google the term. You'll find lots. I think there is a
    reasonable
    tutorial at

    Frames do have some value in situations like this. Just make
    sure you
    understand the downsides of that choice....
    As far as I know, the most comprehensive discussions of
    frames and their
    potential problems can be found on these two links -

  • Guestbook and linking to the navigation bar i Iweb

    Hi
    I have made a site for my dog and want to have a guestbook - so I got a free guestbook and it seem to work fine...
    For now I have added a link to the frontpage of the site - but it would have been fun to have it on the navigation bare on ALL my sites. I have seen that somebody has done that but dont know a clue how to do that!
    Is there somebody out there that knows how to do this????
    http://web.me.com/baiaz/Adino/Velkommen.html
    Morten

    Create a blank internal page titled "Guestbook" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Guestbook page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    parent.window.location = "http://www.yourguestbook.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
    ...Once published, clicking on "Guestbook" in the navbar will immediately redirect to your external Guestbook page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

  • When I set up my new computer, I was unable to restore my navigation bar, and someone else's replaced mine

    I set up my new computer from an external hard drive that I shared with my daughter and is configured to her computer. Even though I downloaded the newest version of Firefox and have my email address in the preferences, I still am showing my daughter's navigation bar and bookmarks. I can't access my own

    I do not use a Mac. But when you install a new version of Firefox it will try to use existing settings etc from what is known as the profile. The profile includes your bookmarks.
    * see [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
    *[[Recovering important data from an old profile]]
    If you share a computer with someone normally each user has their own profile, and there may be permissions preventing users accessing one-anothers accounts. Firefox will normally setup a profile in each account. You will need to search for and find your old profile.
    *Any idea where your own old profile is ?
    *Have you still got the old computer, and is it in working order
    ** or is your daughter's computer the only one you had?
    ** who set up Firefox initially was that yourself, your daughter or someone else ? <br /> (They may understand how it was set up)
    Did you backup your bookmarks or your profile, or sync with any other device?

  • Saving Navigation Bar as Library Item with CSS working?

    I have created a simple navigation bar with a separate color for "over" and saved it as a library item. A warning box indicates that the item may not work the same as the original as the CSS may not be copied. What is the simplest method for correcting this?

    If your html docs are linked to an external stylesheet, they will get their styles from the CSS file.
    http://alt-web.com/DEMOS/DW-Link-Stylesheet.shtml
    I highly recommend using server-side includes instead of Library Items for menus.  A server-side include file is easier to maintain by editing one file and uploading it to your server. With Library Items you must make changes to the Library Item and then re-publish all pages containing that item.

  • My links on my navigation bar are not working. HELP PLEASE!

    Hi, I am making a website for my AS IT course and need your help. Before i explain my problem, i am using dreamweaver 8.
    I made a drop down navigation bar using coding and CSS. At the moment, I have linked three pages. The first page being Home at the start, the second bar is called 'The Players' and i have linked that and they both work right. However, 'the players' has two drop down menus called PDC and BDO, i have linked my page to PDC through the code. However, i can only click onto this page and it will only direct me tot hat page if i click it straight from my template. If i click onto my home page or players then click onto PDC, it will not take me there. However, if i am on the players and click onto another page, it will take me there.
    I did all this on my template.
    Thanks.

    This is my code of my template, sorry it's long but its the PDC button I am having trouble with.

  • Validation errors javascript navigation bar

    I created a navigation bar using Dreamweaver CS3 wizard. I
    got several error messages. After I replaced all the uppercase
    letters with lower case, I had only one error message. I know
    nothing about javascript and I may have messed something up.
    Dreamweaver put the navigation bar in a table. I got rid of the
    table and put it in div tags. I also moved the part that goes in
    the head to an external sheet. Here is coding from the page:
    quote:
    <div id="mainNav">
    <div class="buttons"> <a href="#" target="_top"
    onClick="MM_nbGroup('down','group1','home','images/buttons/home2.jpg',1)"
    onMouseOver="MM_nbGroup('over','home','images/buttons/home2.jpg','',1)"
    onMouseOut="MM_nbGroup('out')"><img name="home"
    src="images/buttons/home2.jpg" border="0" alt=""
    onLoad="MM_nbGroup('init','group1','home','images/buttons/home1.jpg',1)"
    /></a> </div>
    <div class="buttons"> <a href="javascript:;"
    target="_top"
    onClick="MM_nbGroup('down','group1','About','images/buttons/about2.jpg',1)"
    onMouseOver="MM_nbGroup('over','About','images/buttons/about2.jpg','',1)"
    onMouseOut="MM_nbGroup('out')"><img name="About"
    src="images/buttons/about1.jpg" border="0" alt="" onLoad=""
    /></a></div>
    <div class="buttons"> <a href="javascript:;"
    target="_top"
    onClick="MM_nbGroup('down','group1','support','images/buttons/support2.jpg',1)"
    onMouseOver="MM_nbGroup('over','support','images/buttons/support2.jpg','',1)"
    onMouseOut="MM_nbGroup('out')"><img name="support"
    src="images/buttons/support1.jpg" border="0" alt="#" onLoad=""
    /></a> </div>
    <div class="buttons"> <a href="javascript:;"
    target="_top"
    onClick="MM_nbGroup('down','group1','contact','images/buttons/contaqct2.jpg',1)"
    onMouseOver="MM_nbGroup('over','contact','images/buttons/contaqct2.jpg','',1)"
    onMouseOut="MM_nbGroup('out')"><img name="contact"
    src="images/buttons/contact1.jpg" border="0" alt="" onLoad=""
    /></a></div>
    </div>
    <!--mainNav-->
    And the error messages:
    quote:
    Line 33, Column 302: there is no attribute "onload".
    …/home2.jpg" border="0" alt=""
    onload="MM_nbGroup('init','group1','home','imag
    /Q]
    If I may throw another javascript question in.... Dreamweaver
    threw something into the body tag that appears to be preloading the
    images
    "<body
    onload="MM_preloadImages('images/buttons/about2.jpg','images/buttons/support2.jpg','image s/buttons/contaqct2.jpg','../images/buttons/home1.jpg','../images/buttons/home2.jpg')">"
    Can this be moved to the external sheet or is this the same
    thing which is in the external sheet:
    "function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0
    var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new
    Array();
    var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0;
    i<a.length; i++)
    if (a
    .indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a;}}
    Thanks.

    It should only take you a few weeks to discover what a bad
    idea this is,
    then.

    DW will not do this. Furthermore, if you rename or move a
    linked file, you
    will break that link, since DW cannot manage them either.
