External callers voicemail timeout 60 seconds

I have 7.1.3 Unity system and the problem I am having is when an external caller goes to voicemail they are allowed to talk for exactly 60 seconds then the call will drop, no warning, or nothing. Internal users calling between each other can leave over 5 minutes of VM. We have checked and made sure its not a storage issue and have opened a case with TAC and they have verified the gateway is configured correctly but still haven't 100% come up with what could be wrong.
Any suggestions?

Cisco Phone System with Lync Server 2013 CU4
I now have two instances where a recurring meeting of 17 callers where some external callers get:
They dialed the number and get the response “Welcome to the Audio Conferencing Center. Please enter a conference ID followed by #”
They typed the conference code, it waited about 15 seconds then replied with “Sorry, I didn’t get that. Please enter a Conference ID and then press #”
this lasts about 10 minutes, then folks can get into the conference.
This audio file matches what occurs if you call the Conferencing Center and then do not press any buttons. That makes me think that DTMF are not arriving from the Cell Phones. This is a weekly meeting that works most of the time.
Any ideas where I should look?

Did the issue happen only for this Lync meeting or for all Lync meetings? Please create another recurring meeting with the same 17 callers to test if the issue happen again.
It may the issue of because the PSTN Conference ID mapping is orphaned in your SQL database. Therefore, Lync Server 2013 cannot find the Conference ID.

In troubleshooting this error message, we have run the VBS manually on the server and the VBS runs and completes successfully. On the SQL side, it also appears to report back the data in under the 300 second threshold. However we are seeing
that the connection is active and then is terminated after 300 seconds.
Does anyone have any ideas or further troubleshooting suggestions for this error? We have other cluster servers that are configured the same and that do not report this error.

This seems like an known issue:
On a cluster, when there are multiple clustered SQL Server instances, management pack discovery scripts may time out for Database Engines, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services. You might see events 21402.

MeetMe with external callers

Is it possible for external callers to join a meetme conference without DID numbers on CME? Our internal meetme works just fine.

Unfortunatley the external caller can't dial the meetme number since there are no DID's (there is no receptionist either) However, when the AA picks up I was hoping to have the external caller dial the meetme extension at that time. The AA bombs out and says it is an invalid number. Any other ideas?

External user webmail timeout less than 1 minute

I had check the configuration on the webmail on the server, by default it set to 20 minute. Some how users trying to access from external will get timeout less than a minute. Any advise?

Do you have a proxy in between (like Novell Access Manager or something else)?
Another item is have you changed the security setting to NOT use "by IP" in the webaccess configuration?

Can somebody provide solution for mentioned problem-
After Browser launch when I try to navigate the URL, openscript is throwing error (Timeout(60 seconds) occurred waiting for page to load.).
Error code - WAIT_FOR_PAGE_TIMEOUT_ERROR.
I am performing following steps.
1. Launch Browser
2. Navigate to Oracle EBS url
3. Close Browser
4. Launch Browser
5. Navigate again to Oracle EBS url
The last steps is not working correctly, openscript throw timeout error and also IE msg "Internet Explorer has stopped working".

I think this time out setting is at the FTP side and not in your control.
The setting on the FTP site may be in such a way that it will disconnect any ftp request which is taking more than 120 seconds(In your case).
As specified in the log, contact your FTP administrator to increase this parameter.

First thing you need to check is if you have do not disturb on to find this out got to settings-do not disturb and tap on it and turn it off this should work

Can i use an external power supply to power second graphics card?

hello. i currently have an ATI 5870 in my 2010 Mac Pro. I want to throw a Quadro 4000 in there as well, but i need one more 6-pin power cable. can i plop the quadro into the second PCI slot, buy a PC desktop power supply and just let it sit on the outside next to my Mac Pro, and then just run a 6-pin power cable from the power supply into the Quadro? i realize that the Mac Pro door would could not be placed back on...but i could figure out some way to cover up the opening so that dust doesn't enter.
would this work? anyone tried?

Just want to ask a question that is not clear on everything that I have read. If you don't switch off the external power what do you take the risk for? Could you burn something or the card will just continue to work (spin the fan) after you turn off the Mac Pro? Where is the dangerous part?

External Sample Clock timeout

Hi,
I'm attempting to program up a Met One 010c cup anemometer which sends out 11V pulses whose frequency correlates to wind speed. I've written the following program Met One 010c-3b.vi which works when there's no sample clock and outputs data to the graph and to the write measurement to file VI.
However the timestamp on the file only occurs intermittently (every 130 recorded samples if i recall correctly) and i've been advised to put a sample clock in between the create virtual channel and start VI to make the timestamp occur every sample. However doing this i get errors that first tell me I have to use an external clock, making the clock external then gives the timeout error 200284 after the read function. I expect this is because the wrong source has been selected for the external clock on the timing function.
I don't fully understand how the external clock works and i assume i need to set up which ever port i select as an external clock?

I tried to implement some of the diagrams indicated in the last link (eg Figure 2 & 3) but when i went to select the source for the analogue output I was given no available options. I have the NI 9205,9213,9403,9423,9215 sitting on a cDAQ 9178, so none of these do analogue output. Does this mean i can't use an external clock?

I had a look at the Write to Text File.Vi you suggested and i tried to implement it in my program. It appears to be almost working. The formatting of the strings is stuffed up so that i'm getting an ever increasing number of columns in my data (see attached text file). Can you advise me where i've gone wrong?

I assume i've just not got my tab delimintors in the right place? or perhaps i need end of line qualifiers?
I would also like to have the timestamp more accurate, down to the milisecond. I see the format time string VI has an option to format the string %<digit>u which should do this but it appears to just paste the <digit>u in the string. We are wanting to sample data at 10-20 Hz and record the time of the samples. For one instrument these samples will be done simultaneously.

External callers cannot connect to conference call

Hello to anyone that can help. The situation I have is that we switched to SIP trunk direct connect to our Mediation server and since have not been able to connect PSTN calls to a conference call. The person dials in and is told they are being connected
and then a few seconds later they are told Sorry I can't seem to connect you to the conference. This worked before the phone vendor change. The new phone vendor is telling me that everything looks okay on their end and their Lync server is not having this
issue. They are citing the reason for the call failure is because our Lync server is sending a call re-invite even though nothing about the call has changed. I have seen this in the pcap and in snooper. The lync server connects the call, and then sends a re-invite
when it tries to connect the external call to the conf call. The reason for the failure is a 100 trying then a 503 from the vendor's gateway. This appears to be normal behavior, but the vendor states that when their Lync server connects a conf call it does
not send a re-invite to the gateway.
The environment is Lync server 2013 Fe and Mediation server configured with two network interfaces. One to the SIP provider and another to our internal network. We also have an edge server. Previous to the change we were using our own SBC connected to two
PRIs for PSTN connectivity. I have decommissioned the paths for the old pstn gateway, but I need it in place for a door phone that we have. The dial plan and voice policy all are pointed to the new pstn gateway. Everything else in Lync works. I can call a
user form a conf call, but they cannot call in. I have seen other people mentioning using snooper to look at the S4 component logs. I am doing that now, but if anyone has any other advice I would appreciate it. The issue appears to be that our Lync server
is sending a re-invite when one is not anticipated and I do not know how to stop it. Refer is turned off.

Output to external monitor fail after few seconds

hi
i upgraded my x61+X6 utlrabse docking st. to X200 with X200 ultrabase docking station.
i have a DELL 20 inch LCD as my external mointor.
the docking statition is connected using a USB-KVM to the external monitor.
with the X61 i manage to see the external monitor
with the X200 i see the external monitor and after10 sec it goes down.
few more related facts:
1)i can see in the Windows Vista HW and Driver setting that the DELL SP2008 screen is registeredbut than after10 sec it disaapear and screen goes off.
2) when i goes to Intel Graphics Media Accelerator the only option is the choose only laptop display and no external one is shown.when i swith with the kvm to another computer (actually disconnecting the external monitor) and goes back to X200 i can see for 10 sec the external monitor.
any idea what is the problem ?

What is causing this? traceroute showing timeout on second hop

No matter what I traceroute the second hop always times out. I have an WRT300N router v.1.03.6. I have comcast cable internet with an Arris TM502G cable modem. Here is an example of a traceroute:

Mort's 'fix' does not solve this issue. I also have Comcast, and show the same tracert characteristics using a different gateway. It is probably the way Comcast have their gateway routers configured. It is common practice for ISPs and other large network providers to have certain devices in their network configured to not respond to traceroute. It should not cause a problem for you, and can generally be ignored.

Initial Announcement and Music for external callers

Hello,
i'm new to this forum and i hope to get some assistance.
We're using CUCM 9.1 and my Boss wants that all callers hear an announcement and music instead of the ringtone.
I already tried with call queuing for our hunt-group, but this only works, when all phones are busy.
Is there any way to get the announcement to play everytime?

There's no way to change the ringtone for music, and as you mention, we only provide MOH right away when using queuing.
The only way to get an announcement everytime would be to involve CUC or UCCX in every single call, or do this via TCL scripting before sending the call to CUCM, CUCM does not offers this as an out of the box feature.

External callers cannot hear greetings

Dears,
i have setup a unity connection for all the users, PSTN callers cannot hear user default greetings of the user voice mail , i have enabled RTP from unity connection server to voice gateway which are in different subnet but CUCM and UN are in 1 subnet.
Any hints where things are going wrong

Anyone else can put some shade on the query above. The calls gets transferred to the unity connection I can see the call duration keeps on increasing on the mobile phone, but I cannot hear the unity connection user greeting nor whatever I speak it drops as an voice mail to the user mailbox.
