External camera av cable input to Ipad. is there such a thing?

external camera,  av cable input to Ipad. is there such a thing? to record vision?

How about this workaround buy iPad replacement camera of eBay about £6 open up your iPad remove the camera and extend the wiring out through the case to a female male connector long multi core wire solder camera to the end hay presto one fully functional external camera you will need a very large magnifier as the wiring is xxx small and of course this will void your warranty so I would suggest you do it to an old iPad 2 not your shiny new 3/4

  • Is there such a thing as an external PCI rack?

I know this is asking a lot, but it there any way to use a PCI device from a laptop?  Perhaps an external rack connected by USB, Ethernet, Cardbus, etc.  Any ideas?

Well I think there are couple of benefits of using the external chassis.
1] one is it's portability. You just take your laptop and the rack and you go. Then you can measure anywhere. To move a desktop is usually more difficult.
2] Noise reduction. The rack is more resistant to the industry conditions (electric field, temperature, dust) than common PC
3] In common desktops you have usually just a few PCI/PCI-e slots available
We decided to buy one of the Magma chassis because we needed DAQ card with synchronous sampling over four channels and high sampling rates. And because the measurement will be done on more places we needed portability. There is no NI device that would fulfill above written demands so the external chassis plus PCI card was the only option. BUT if you don't have such specific demands but you still want to have portable system I would go for compactDAQ

  • Is there such a thing as Lighting to HDMI cable?

I've been looking everywhere to find a Lighting to HDMI cable so that I can plug my iPhone into the TV to watch movies, set up a slideshow of photos etc. and I can't find one anywhere. Does such a product exist?

I would have started from the Apple Store.

  • Is there such a thing as Apple Certified Technicians for iPads?

I recently made the mistake of taking my mini in for repair of a cracked digitizer to a local shop.  A month, several arguments, and 5 visits later, the screen is finally staying on, but the front camera is now very hazy.  They say they took it apart again and cleaned the screen and that since it's no better, it was probably that way before.  The owner insists that his techs are all Apple Certified Technicians, and that they are doing the repairs the same was Apple does them.
I can't find any proof of that type of certification even existing.  And they are not a certified repair center.
Anyone know any other reason the for the camera to all of the sudden be so bad?  All I can think is there has to be a fingerprint on a lens or something, but they swear they have fixed that.

This registry is a voluntary public listing of Apple certificants. Since not all certificants are listed, you can click hereto obtain an individual's official credential status. If you hold an Apple certification and would like to send an official verification to another party, log into the Apple Certification Records System and select Publish Credential.

  • Is there such a thing as a docking extension cable?

Is there a female-to-female extension cable where one end would plug into an iPod classic and the other to a docking port? Not dock to USB connector; one where the iPod would be "docked" and held in your hand.

I think you mean Female-to-Male extension. I was looking for one of these so that I could dock an iPod to the iHome without taking it out of the case. And yes there is, I have found two cables, one from CableJive and another found on eBay from Autoware302.
I think the CableJive cable is good quality but very expensive, about $36. The Autoware cable is under 20 bucks. I have not bought that one yet, so I can’t talk about the quality.
The OEM USB docking cable has a connector that is 1 1/32” wide. The opening in the OtterBox Defender case for my IPOD classic is the exact size for this connector. The after market products I have found are too wide to fit through the case. They do however fit through a Belkin Acrylic case that I have. The CableJive cable connector is 1 5/32” wide. I think the Autoware cable is 1 1/8” wide. Neither sounds like a lot, but it is significantly larger than the OEM connector. So I am still looking for the right cable for me. Anybody know of one?

  • Is there an external webcam made for the original iPad?

Is there an external webcam made for the original iPad?

There was an iClops project for awhile, but the folks abandoned the idea, I heard for possible legal reasons.
There is an app, Camera for iPad, that lets you use the iPhone's better resolution camera to take photos for other iOS devices. But it does not work with any video apps. I am not sure why I would take photos with an iPhone for the iPad, unless it was for later viwing on the larger display.

  • Ipad 1st gen external cam?

so i bought the ipad 1st gen a month b4 the ipad 2 came out.. any external cam in the worx yet? if your wondering y i bought it is because i had no idea an ipad 2 was in the making

"i dont think anyone would buy this ipad since the ipad 2 is so much better and about the same price"
This is a really silly statement... There is nothing "so much better" about the iPad 2. Just like the 4s, the iPad 2 was a bit of a dud product (not innovative at all, despite what apple says about ALL their products.) There will be a lot of really big features in the both the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5, though! Save your money, and buy those when they come out early this year (as someone else mentioned, this is all predictable so wait to purchase things based on the cycles!) Look for key features like the screen resolution, camera megapixel count, flash/no flash etc. As far as the iPad 2 is concerned, I own an iPad 1 and never have I thought to myself "I wish I had a camera", thus save for 2 games I've encountered (requires iPad2) there is no limitation to having an iPad 1 over the 2 save for the camera. Clearly you were looking for this feature, so I get that you want a 2, but others WILL buy your iPad 1 as most do not need the camera

  • Have the external buttons/speaker/camera changed on the new iPad mini?

Easy question, I suspect. But I can't find the answer online. I'll buy a "retina" mini as soon as it becomes available. I'm thinking of going ahead and ordering a case. The case manufacturer assures me the current case will fit. I want to be sure.
Has any of the hardware changed on the new mini? Enough to necessitate a redesigned case? This would include, for example, different button placements, different speaker sizes, different camera placement, or grossly different iPad dimensions. Maybe the case consultant didn't know his/her [insert proper expletive].
I thank you, in advance, for your advice on this simple question. (Perhaps you may give me a link to a page containing the answer, showing me how my online search failed!)

    There is a comparison here : http://www.apple.com/ipad/compare/
The Mini Retina is 0.3 mm thicker, but the height and width are the same
As far as I can see (going on the images from the below pages) the buttons, speakers, cameras are in the same place

  • HT201628 Download pictures from any external camera to ipad/how install DCIM file

I have gotten a camera connection kit for my iPad 2 in order to download pictures and video from my cameras, but does not happen nothing.I tried the USB as well as  the cards and did not open nothing on iPad. Seller says that I need  "open or create" a DCIM  file, but I cannot find where .I appreciate your help for this issue...

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • IPad external camera

Your new iPad commercial shows a camera set up on top with something connected at the side of the iPad Air connecting the camera.  While there a online sources of information nothing I can find gives any information on the camera. Quite clearly something Apple must be interested in or it would not have been featured in the commercial.
    Any information would be appreciated.

Haven't seen the commercial, but it's possibly the connection of a camera, via the camera connection kit, to the iPad for import of photos/videos from the camera.

  • Is it possible to plug an external camera into 1/8" a/v jack on my iPhone a

Is it possible to plug an external camera into 1/8" a/v jack on my iPhone and view/record live video
I am constantly installing surveillance cameras at various locations; I'd like to be able to use my iPhone as the live view device (as opposed to a larger portable DVD player).
Is this possible, will the iPhone accept a video signal via the 1/8" jack like the external microphone, or even through the service dock
In short I want the composite cable to provide a VIDEO IN, and a video out
If this has already been developed please point me in the right direction. If not, any idea on how to develop the APP/Coding/Hardware, would also be of great help. Thank you in advance for you help.

I am looking to do the same i have ben looking on the net the last few months but have found nothing it has to be possible if you can play video on a tv you should be able to record. Maybe a developer would be interested in developing a app.

  • Can I use my iPod touch 4G as an external camera to my MacBook?

I want to use my iPod 4G (or any other iDevice) as an external camera on my Mac. Is there any way I can do this?

I have a cable from OWC (macsales.com). When I first tried it, there was a tiny burr of metal on one plug that made it a bit hard to insert in the TB port on the MBP. A quick burnishing with a wooden dowel sorted that and it now fits fine.
I believe this is the one I ordered:

  • Connecting an AV cable to my iPad 3

Can I connect an AV cable to my ipad 3 in order to stream video to the ipad from an RC vehicle camera?

Thanks for your prompt answer. That's what I thought.

  • Connecting USB cable to new iPad

Is there a way of connecting a USB cable to my new iPad? I have a device that I want to connect to it but it is only supplied with a USB cable.

I don't find this question too clear, but I'll try to answer anyway.
" ... my new iPad?"  I wonder if that means the latest model iPad, commonly called the iPad 4.  If so, it has a lightning port on the bottom.
" ... but it is only supplied with a USB cable."  What does "it" refer to ... is it the device you're trying to connect to, or is it the iPad?
Anyway, your iPad comes with a cable that goes from its bottom port (presumably the lightning port, but maybe a 30 pin port if you're really talking about an older model) to USB.
So the bottom line is you have a cable with your iPad that connects to USB.  The cable came with your iPad.

  • Is it possible to connect an external camera via bluetooth to the Iphone 4 and use it with Facetime, if not.. why?

Is it possible to connect an external camera via bluetooth to the Iphone 4 and use it with Facetime, if not.. why?

Ok, in 2015 is it possible now? I would like to use an iPad and Face to share content between a dressmaker in Asia and a customer in the US, and I would like to attach better camera's than the built-in camera's on the devices.
Any thoughts? Any updates to the original post?
    Thanks,
    James
