External Catalog Call Structures

We are on SRM 4.0 and integrated ITS.  We are using the standard call structure for external catalogs which opens in a new window.  However, this is causing grief with our users because they tend to stay in the catalogs too long and eventually timeout of SRM.  Our current timeout is set to 30 minutes.  Therefore, when they go to the catalogs, SRM sits idle.  When they checkout of the catalog to bring the items over into SRM, they will get a timeout message.
I would like to have the catalog open in the same window as SRM.  I understand this is done through integrated call structure.
However, when I select my items from the catalog and check out, I'm not brought back into my shopping cart.  Another window opens with the look of external ITS.
Is there something I need to do with the call structure so that the items are added back to my shopping cart?
Are there other options so that users do not timeout of SRM?  If SRM is sitting idle, can a message popup letting the user know their session will timeout soon unless they check out of the catalogs?

  • Product catalog call structure config

For each catalog there is a call structure defined in SAP SRM , My question is i have a Product catalog created in system with Logical system as XYZ SAPR/3 ( this is under subscreen techinical settings) ... after some days some budy changed it with different sap logical system how to track the change in call structure technical setting parameter. Is there any standard report to track the changes in product catalog call structure config.

    Hi
A change to the logical system in catalog call structure would have to have an associated change request in the TMS, perhaps you can check there with the transport admin as to who changed the BBP_WS_VC cluster.

  • Catalog Call Structure Thumbnail

Hello all.  Years ago, I added thumbnails of company logos to catalog call links in the shopping wizard.  This was probably SRM 3.0 or so...I'm pretty sure I used "Path for Symbol for Service" in the Define External Web Services field.  Now, with webdynpro, the documentation isn't changed at all.  I think this is pointing to a folder from the old ITS.  They wouldn't just let functionality just drop out like that would they?  Anybody know how this might be easily done today?  (SRM 7.0)

    Hi Galen,
I was not aware of this functionality, however, in most cases, the requirement for company logos is in the catalog application so it may be that with the introduction of WD UI this was missed.

  • SRM-MDM Dynamic catalog call structure and implicit search criteria

    Hi experts,
We need to define the catalog call criteria for the SRM-MDM.
Our client requires content visualitzation restrictions but there is not any logic indentified to determine the records that must be viewed for every user.
Now, in their Non-SAP catalog, they are using users lists to which they assign the catalog records.
There are more than 150 users lists and is posible too to assign some catalog records to only 1 or 2 users, by user id.
We want to reproduce this scenario in SRM-MDM.
    We are analysing two alternatives:
First alternative: badi BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH implementation for mask dynamic determination and custom z.
We've though in creating one mask for every user list.
Then, in SRM create a custom table with the userid and the user list id (mask equivalent). A user can belong to more than one user list.
Finally implement the BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH, searching in the z table the users id and obtaining the specific masks for this users and pass these masks as catalog call parameters dynamicly.
Is posible to use the BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH badi to pass dynamic parameters?
(in this case, maybe we could use a new org.est. attibute to assign user id and mask, instead of the custom table).
Second aternative: implicit search criteria based on a new org. est. atribute for mask
Is posible to create new implicit search criteria for org. est. atributes?
We could assign to every user the masks in the org. est. and then, create a new parameter which could look for the mask value in the org.est.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Silvia,
I am not sure of the answer to the second part of the query but as for the usage of the BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH catalog in combination with various masks for the users to access catalog subsets, this should work quite well, best to try it out in a DEV environment and see how it goes.

  • External catalog set-up

    Hello everyone,
can anyone let me know what are the steps the vendor needs to do to put the information on theire website in proper way such that when the URL is accessed from our SRM system, required data(product catagory,UOM,supplier ID etc) gets transferred to our SRM system.
can anyone send me the detailed documentation about External catalog setup ?

  • SRM5.0 Catalog Std. Call Structure - Disable Browser Back Button

    Hi colleagues,
we're on SRM5.0 and have the catalog configured as "Standard Call Structure", i.e. it is displayed in a new browser window.
Is there away to disable the browser back navigation functionality, i.e. open the window without address bar and back navigation buttons?
There doesn't seem to be anything in SPRO in order to control this.
    Thanks, Ulli

    Hi
I think it is a settings of browser
    for eg
internet explorer -> view -> tool bars -> standard tool bar (activate / inactivate )
so you can not see backe button.

  • Entering values in Web Services ID and Description, for External Catalog

    Hi,
I am trying to connect to an external Vendor Catalog from ERP. Pl note that we just have ERP ECC 6.0 and no SRM. I went to SPRO and followed menu path 'Materials Management >> Purchasing >> Web Services: ID and Description'. I am not sure what to enter in 1) Seq. Number  2) Name of Parameter for Web Service and 3) Call Structure COLUMNS.
I have URL from Vendor, User Name and Password. I need to know what values are mandatory here so I can successfully connect to external Catalog. If someone can give me sample values, I can try.
    Any help is appreciated,
    Niranjan

    Update on 08/23/2011.
We are able to connect to Vendor Catalog, select items in Cart. When I press 'Place Order' button, I see all items populated in SAP PO ME21N screen. We can then add other information and create PO. This is working great. We have another question. Heard that with ERP ECC 6.0, we can only connect 1 vendor catalog. But with SRM, we can connect more than  1 vendor catalog. Is there a BAPI or change SAP code to connect more than 1 vendor catalog from ECC 6.0 ?

  • SRM 5.0 External Catalog is not working in SRM 7.0

    Hi,
I am  facing an issue with External Catalog. It is working fine in SRM 5.0 but not working in SRM 7.0. I added the returntarget parameter and HOOKURL but still no luck. The parameters I have entered are
    http://www.xxx.es/punchout/sap/ocipunchouthtml.aspx?username=xxx&password=xxx
    USERNAME     XXX   Fixed Value
    PASSWORD    XXX   Fixed Value
    retruntarget    _top    Fixed Value
    HOOKURL                 Return URL
The issue is that when I directly put the catalog URL in browser, it takes me to correct page from where I can shop but if I click the same link through SRM 7.0, it is navigating to some other page of vendor catalog from where items can't be added to shopping basket.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,

  • External Catalogs Business partner

    hi experts!
would just like to verify if Business Partner number set in the call structure is used by SRM only if no vendor number is received from the external catalog.. if there is a vendor number in the catalog coming from the vendor side, business partner in the SRM configuration is not the one being used, right? is there a way where i could by pass the vendor coming from the vendor's catalog?

    Hi,
If you wish to ignore the Supplier coming from the catalog you can use the Badi BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to clear this field if populated, as far as I know the partner data from catalog is preffered and is determined in FORM CREATE_PARTNERSETS:
then create th partnerset for the vendor
no vendordata at all - leave (no error)
IF iv_cat_entity_vendor IS INITIAL AND <<   From call structure
iv_oci_item_data_vendor IS INITIAL OR <<   From catalog
         NOT iv_ignore_partnerdata IS INITIAL.
        RETURN.
      ENDIF.
    conversion stuff
      IF NOT iv_oci_item_data_vendor IS INITIAL.
        lv_conv_eingabe = iv_oci_item_data_vendor.
      ELSE.
        lv_conv_eingabe = iv_cat_entity_vendor.
      ENDIF.
So the logic here takes catalog vendor before call structure vendor.

  • External Catalog

    Hi All,
In external catalog,I am able to get into the site and shop. But when I return I am unable to pull the data to the shopping cart.I get the data as XML file.
I hope we dont require XI to pull the data to SRM server.
Can any body help me on how to map the fields?Should the mapping be done on the Standard call structure or Integrated call structure? If possible Pls give an example

    Hi,
Are you trying to OCI?? Integration using OCI does not require XI. If you are using OCI, SRM expects data in the HTML format. Let me know more details on your requirement.

  • Error while invoking external WS call from BPEL2.0

    Hi,
I have a BPEL process from where I am making external WS call.
I have the WSDL file & the Endpoint URL for the external WS.
So,I have follow the below steps at BPEL editor.
    1. Synchronous BPEL process[it includes 'receiveInput' & 'replyOutput'].
    2. Added a "Partnet Link"[Created using external WSDL & Endpoint URL] at the Right hand side of BPEL Editor
3.Added "Invoke" node between 'receiveInput' & 'replyOutput' and then pointed to the newly created "PartnerLink"
While rebuilding the .jpr file I am getting the below error.
    **C:\JDeveloper\mywork\CustomerDetails\CustomerDetails.bpel**
    **Error(75): Element 'scope' not expected.**
Can Any one help me to resolve the issue ??
Note: I have been using JDev 11.1.1.6 and have gone through the below URL for similar kinda sample.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/dev.1111/e10224/bp_sync.htm#CIHIEIHD
    Cheers,

    Hi Deba,
Just so I get my facts straight, when you look at the BPEL source code, what do you see? You should be seeing, first, a sequence, then, the receive activity, and then your invoke activity and finally reply. Isn't it?
As far as the error message suggests, looks like you have placed a "scope" - structured activity, at a place it does not belong.
    HTH

  • Open Catalog Interface (OCI) - Is CRM/ISA ready to be an External Catalog?

I have found much information here and on help.sap.com talking about how to set up an external catalog to be part of our catalog(s). But, there is a severe lack of information to educate myself as to whether our catalog(s) are ready to be added as an external catalog to our customer's SRM system for example.
The only valuable information I have been able to find on how to be sure that our CRM/ISA Partnershop can be used by our business partners in their various (SRM) procurement systems is here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/73/fd147fcaaf41489508aaac8e3e37b5/frameset.htm
We have a specific request that our CRM/ISA Partnershop be made available via our business partner's SRM system.  I can find no guide to help me provide the requested information without basically just guessing on my part.
This is what they provided as a worksheet to return.
I assume the following or would like additional input:
    1)  They will need a Userid and Password.
    2)  For Language, we currently only support EN.  Would I enter EN or just leave blank?
    3)  What do the following refer to?  (These are the fields as requested and their suggested value by our customer)
      ~OKCODE       ADDI
      ~TARGET       _top
      ~FORCETARGET       YES
      ~CALLER       CTLG
      HOOK_URL       (Assumed to be blank)
    4)  These are the required OCI fields they would be expecting from the our catalog, but they can accept all OCI Release 4.0 fields...Assuming the connections from the above settings are made properly, will CRM automatically provide the approrpriate detail or do I need to set something somewhere?  All the XCM/DCM config settings for OCI seem to deal with an incoming External Catalog, not outgoing.
    OCI fields
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[1]' value='3'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION[1]' value='Descriptio'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-UNIT[1]' value='DZN'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-PRICE[1]' value='1.62'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-LEADTIME[1]' value='5'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY[1]' value='USD'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-MATGROUP[1]' value='44121704'>
    5)  Do I need to 'do' anything not listed above to be sure our catalog(s) are ready to perform as requested?
    Thanks for any clarification/links, etc
I've spent weeks off and on now to try to determine an answer I could feel confident in.

1/25/07 - Found a bit more info, but still need help determining if there are any additional settings/configs we need to make before starting to test with our Business Partner.

I did these steps already, but have not tested yet:
Customizing and Settings in CRM / Internet Sales
Settings for receiving purchase orders in CRM
Purchase order without reference to a quotation:
In the CRM Business Connector, an XML purchase order is received via HTTP and it is converted into a sales order IDOC. This IDOC is then transferred to CRM and is posted there.
The delivered mapping service expects a purchase order in the OLD_EBP XML format, which is transformed into a NEW EBP XML, xCBL and finally a CRM IDOC XML.
The following settings must be made in CRM:
    · Creating a partner profile for the sender
    Path in SAP Menu
    Tools -> Business Communication -> IDoc-Basis -> Administration -> Partner profile.
    Partner type: Customer
Partner number: Number of the sold-to party in CRM
Transaction code: APLI (Individual IDoc processing)
    Message type: CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M
    (key fields of table EDPP1:
    -PARNUM partner number
    -PARTYP partner type)
    ·         To view CRM address management errors in the document, the parameter CRM_USER_LEVEL must be set to value 9.
    Path in SAP Menu
System -> User profile -> Own data -> Parameters.
I have asked my Basis contact to look into this portion:
    Business Connector
Install a Business Connector 4.0 or higher.
    Required packages:
    · Sap_crm
    · Sap_crm_customizing
    · XSLT (only for BC 4.0, not required for BC 4.6)
After processing the purchase order that was received first, an inactive routing rule is created that is completed and activated.
    Path in BC
BC Manager -> Adapters -> Routing -> Edit.
    Transport: ALE (R/3 IDoc)
    SAP Destination:
The ports must be activated and the service EbpXmlToRfc must be accessible before the Business Connector can receive documents.
Some CRM settings are hard coded in the transformations. They are in the file BasicOrderSettings.xsl, that are in the directory ...ServerpackagesSap_crmxsltincludesxcbl2sapcrm_xif.
    These are:
    Transaction type: TA (standard order)
Item object type: BUS2000131(sales item CRM)
Text ID under which the order text is created in the CRM order: 1000 (customer note)
Make sure that all of the available Business Connector patches are installed.
Our customer contact says they went with WebMethod instead of Business Connector, but I'm hoping we can make it work using BC without having to research yet another piece of the puzzle.
Any additional detail/advice from anyone that's set up their Partnershop to be connected to SRM EBP via OCI?

  • Characters of external catalog Url overwritten

    Hi all,
Iu2019ve defined an external web service for an vendor shop.
The Url u201Chttp://xxxxxx.yyyyyy.de/cgi-bin/epssystem.dll?SAPLogin?SID=5u201D has been used as the first parameter (parameter type URL). When I try to call the web-shop in SRM 7.0 via portal the error HTTP 400 appears.
Iu2019ve made an trace of the punchout call:
    http://xxxxxx.yyyyyy.de/cgi-bin/epssystem.dll?sap-client=100&sap-language=D.......
The system has overwritten the string u201C?SAPLogin?SID=5u201D. When I add this string manually the catalog call works fine.
In SRM 5.0 this was no problem.
Iu2019ve checked the FM /SAPSRM/CLL_WST_CALL which is reading the customizing of the web service and the import parameter ev_call_url is fine.
I havenu2019t found the coding where all the parameters are added to the URL to analyse the issue.
Thanks for all of your inputs.
    Regards
    Stefan

I've created an oss note and got following response:
    Dear Customer,
After the note 1342873 was released there were some updates from
    Portal component (refer note 1283595).
According to this if there are special characters like '?' in the URL
or in any other parameters, then this character will not be passed.
(refer point no 3 in the note).
For that reason, this type of URL is not anymore supported by portal.
Unfortunately, you need to contact your catalog vendor and ask for a
new URL to launch the catalog.

    Hi,
When we select the external catalog it opens the webpage of customer but we need to enter the Customer number , user name and password.
My doubt here is how to set up the parameter value in Webservice ID for customer number(9000361662
) so that system considers this as default and login directly in to client URL without asking any details.
please help me out in this. What went wrong in my catalog set up ID
