External catalog specifications for SAP E-commerce 5.0

Hi Experts,
We want to integrate external catalog ( which is custom deveponed by our client.). Using OCI interface we want to use this custom based catalog, in place of SAP ISA TREX based catalog.  In ISA settings I just see that I need to define the url for the external catalog. BUT this external catalog should confirm to certain rules, Please can someone guide me, what are these set of rules?
Please help, as this is a very critical bottle neck for our project.
Thanks in advance,
Dipender Singh

Hi Dipender,
The catalog must be OCI compliant in order o use it in conjunction with the SRM Server, compliance in a nutshell means that it will transmit it's return data in the format expected by SRM, the HOOK_URL will contain all the necessary parameters to transmit the HTML data into an expected an readable format for ICI INterface.
For more details please read the attached OCI Config doc.

Jason

  • Need abap documenation specifically for SAP BW only.

    Hi,
I want to learn abap specifically for SAP BW only...How much abap should i know to do bw work....and where i can find documentation of abap related to sap bw 3.5 and 7.0 version.
    Regards
    Yogee.

    HI
generally we used the ABAP code to write Start Routines, End Routines or Individual Update Routines also exits which include variable exits.
If you are totally unaware of the programing languages then better start learing ABAP with basic statements includes IF ELSE LOOP CASE ENDCASE etc.
And then switch to learn how to use this statement to develop the logic.
In BI, the basic knowledge of ABAP is sufficient, u need not go for deep and detail study, belive me its easier than BI.
Go to ABAP forum check for any good ABAP learning materail and start working on that.
Any query please revert back. send ur mail id to me, if possible ll send u some document for ABAP.
    Thank-You.

  • Software requirement specifications for SAP BW

    Hi,
Please list the software requirement specifications for
    SAP BW.
    Thanks,
    Vijaya.

    Hi,
I havent come across any links on that yet. But, you can get some understanding on what it will contain...
    1. The purpose of this doc. is to specify all the features thatthe customer expects out of an application.
    2. There are 2 docs. relating to this
       1. AS-IS document and
       2. TO-BE document.
AS-IS document describes how the existing system is. This contains features , advantages, disadvantages of the existing system.
TO-BE document will contain the features that the customer is expecting in his new application. There will also be a GAP analysis document that will describe the gap between the existing and the proposed system. This will help them in estimating the efforts needed and the posrtions in the new application to be built.
Finally, as u might know, the Requirements doc. needs to be signed.
    Thanks,

  • Catalog views for ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0

We are implementing the R/3 version of CRM-ISA (ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0).
We need to implement product catalog views to allow filtering based on specific attributes.
We have created a custom function module Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE to replace ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE and  Z_ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS to replace ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS.
But when we test from ISA the FM Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE does not get invoked through RFC.
There is an  SAP NOTE 998453 that we checked but it is still a pilot version.
Has anyone implemented the catalog views without the notes? Can we do the catalog views without the note? If so, how can we meke custom FM work? Please advice.
    Thanks,
    VK

    Check the following.
    1. The XCM file modification-config.xml replaces both the function modules
    2. The checkbox to use the catalog views is checked for your webshop
    3. Catalog is published to TREX and you are using TREX catalog instead of Memory catalog.
I don't think these notes work without TREX. I'd be interested in learning if anyone successfully implemented Catalog views with ECC ECO without using TREX.

  • External Storage Repository for SAP Archive Link

We are about use SAP Archive Link as part of a document scanning process. For storage, the intention is to use EMC Centera. We are on SAP ECC 6.0.
Does anybody know if any additional software or hardware is required, or would we already be capable of  retrieving images from Centera storage without anything additional.
If we start to store the scanned images on filestore, would it be possible to migrate the images to EMC Centera storage in the future without losing the link to the documents in SAP?
    Many Thanks
    Claire Crosby-Clarke

    Hi,
    >Does anybody know if any additional software or hardware is required, or would we already be capable >of retrieving images from Centera storage without anything additional.
If Centera storage is certified by SAP for Archivelink you will be OK.
In my company, we use Filenet and we had to purchase a special Archivelink connector.
We scan incoming invoices, do OCR, create automatically the SAP invoice and make the link with the scanned invoice in Filenet.
    >If we start to store the scanned images on filestore, would it be possible to migrate the images to EMC >Centera storage in the future without losing the link to the documents in SAP?
I don't think so, because the link in SAP is an identifier in the storage software.

  • Steps to follow while extending a catalog (specifically for product catalog)?

I want to add some new properties to the products, to determine there type based on that i want to display different options on the product details page.
Can you please tell me how to extend the product catalog and what are the steps involved in it?

    Adding to Ricky,
Since u have not specified ATG version.
Go to ProductCatalog Repository in dyn/admin and see the definition file.ProductCatalog.xml is used for standard catalog and CustomCatalog.xml is used for custom catalog.
Extend that xml using configuration layering.
    Thanks,
    Nitin.

  • CRM webshop external catalog

Has anybody used an external catalog integrated with the CRM web shop?
How does the integration work?Based on OCI API?
Can you select a product in an external catalog and add it to the web shop shopping cart and just pay for it?
    Thanks

    Hi,
ok, understood. Well, that would leave the "standard" out-of-the-box capabilities. We do have (few, perhaps a hand full) customers (which I can't name here unfortunately) that have done it this way. Actually, at least in one case the OCI interface was used to fill the basket on the fly and continue the process from there. By using the persistent shopping basket feature, they also can go back and forth between the "external catalog" and the SAP E-Commerce shopping basket. In this case it is a B2C process, which allows you to not run into potential single sign on issues between the solutions.
Please note (which you already know) that following this you would leave normal support coverage...
If it's B2B, I would rather look at checking whether it could be done in the way described further up in this thread, logging on to the shop first...

  • INTERNET SALES B2B E-COMMERCE FOR SAP

    Hi All:
I want to implement the latest Internet sales component into our R/3 version 4.7 landscape. I keep getting conflicting information from my SAP contacts on what the correct components are. I have been instructed to download SAP E-COMMERCE 5.0 FOR SAP, E-COMMERCE W.SAP ERP - V1.600, INTERNET SALES APPLICATION FOR ERP... I cannot seem to validate what the correct component is that I should implement. I've seen posts on this website that refer to each so that has done little to help steer me in the right direction. I do not want to implement CRM. I only want to implement the latest version of the Internet Sales component that is compatible with R/3 4.7. Can you tell me the correct component to download and the path in the software download center where I can locate it?
Can you also give me an idea of what configuration is required on the R/3 side? For example, I know the Product Catalog is required to provide content. Likewise, there is configuration for Online Stores. Is that relevant for this component or is that intended for a different type of Internet Sales landscape?
    Thanks,
    Randy

We are trying to install a central instance of the E-Commerce 5.0 for R/3 solution on a 32-bit Windows 2003 server, running on top of SQL 2005 32-bit Standard Edition. The Netweaver 7.0 Kit has an installation for IA-64 and X-64 but does not appear to have a 32-bit installation. Did you install the E-Commerce 5.0 component on a 32-bit Windows server? If so, on what DVD did you find the 32-bit Netweaver components for a centralized E-Commerce 5.0 installation?
Can you also provide me with a link to the installation guide that explains what to install and how to install to a 32-bit Windows machine?
    Kind regards,
    Randy

  • Need advice for SAP installation on External  Hard disk

    Hi Gurus,
I have HP laptop with configuration of 512 MB RAM and 50 GB hard disk...i recently bought 250 GB segate external  hard disk for SAP installation...My doubt here is if i  install SAP in external hard disk and will it work properly if i connect my laptop?
    ur advice is much appreciated
    Regards
    Dinesh

    Hi Dinesh,
I have installed SAP on external harddisk.
    And it will work properly.
But i think you need to increase your RAM.
After installation, please keep in mind one thing.
You will have to attach your external harddisk before your machine starts, because your OS will be in internal harddisk, so SAP and oracel services won't be able to run without external hard-disk.
and in case you attach after system startup, please start all services.

  • XSRF error when returning to SRM from external catalog

    Hello,
We recently applied support package stack 19 to our SRM 5.0 development system, and after doing so found that some of our configured catalogs began producing an XSRF error when attempting to populate the SRM shopping cart with items from the catalog. The symptoms encountered are practically identical with those described in Note 1615697 ("Return to SRM application from Catalogs result in Dump"). This error did not occur prior to applying support packages.
In an effort to resolve the problem, we applied the following Notes that described the same or similar symptoms:
1551982: Cross Site Request Forgery Protection for stateless BSP
1596088: frequent dumps in ITS services
    1607780: Update #5 to security note 1522651
1613427: ITS Services lead to XSRF Dumps
1615697: Return to SRM application from Catalogs result in Dump
1619323: Frequent Dump issue in ITS
1621525: Dump in Vendor list service
1629031: BBP_BACKGROUND_APPROVAL service results in dump
1632110: Quotation search help fields results in a Dump
1634612: Frequent Dump issue in ITS in Search screens
1650207: BBP_POC service results in XSRF dump
    1658516: Applets sheitern an XSRF-Schutz (COOKIE_NOT_FOUND)
1675491: ITS: CALL BROWSER and termination of a session
This did result in some of our catalogs working that previously were dumping, but we are still having issues with at least two and possibly other catalogs. These are external vendor catalogs using the OCI interface.
The error occurs at the time of transmitting items from the catalog back into the SRM shopping cart. The catalog screen is replaced with an error screen with the messages "The URL https://<<our SRM dev system>>:/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc03/ was not called due to an error" and "A:ITS_P:019 XSRF no sec_sesstoken". The shopping cart in the SRM system is lost after this error occurs. No short dump is recorded, but the SM21 system log records the ITS_P 019 error against tcode BBPSC03, program SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS.
Most of our catalogs, internal and external, are fine after applying the Notes. Just two external vendor catalogs still exhibit this error.
I experimented with adding a new parameter after the Return URL in the catalog configuration in SPRO with name = ~SAP_SESSTOKEN, value = `SAP_SESSTOKEN`, and type = SAP Field, based upon Note 1481392, but this did not make any change in the behavior.
I have patched the kernel (7.00) to pl335 (pl310 is delivered with sps19).
Anyone else having this sort of issue?
    Best regards,
    Matt

  • Query regarding external catalog in internet sales

    hi......
can i make b2b webshop external catalog specific .....that means for first webshop i will use one external catalog url... for second i will use different external catalog url......is that scenario possible??

    Hi Eddhie,
Product catalog is part of standard CRM deployment atleast for CRM 4 and CRM 5. Your BASIS person should be able to install along with standard CRM deployment. You don't need any additional BP. Can you eloborate more on your requirement, so that I should be able to clarify?
    Cheers,

    Hello experts,
Could any one of you tell me the process of external catalog integration & maintenace in CRM 4.0 ISA along with the process of configurations..
    Thanks in advance
    cheers
    vamsi

    hi,
SAP standard supports external catalog integration for B2B scenario, not for B2C scenario. For external catalog integation the product id of external system should match with CRM product master.External catalog integration is done through OCI(open catalog interface). For OCI u have to maintain setting in XCM of B2B.

  • SAP E-Commerce 7.0 and Guest Checkout

    Hi,
I searched through the forums here on the sdn and also through teh web in general looking for information on implementing Guest Checkout functionality for SAP E-Commerce 7.0.
We are looking at adding in Guest Checkout functionality and before we go all guns on developing the feature ourselves I would like to make sure there are no other options.  Does SAP E-Commerce 7.0 have guest checkout functionality?  Has anyone got experience developing Guest Checkout functionaility for SAP E-Commerce 7.0?  Can you point me to any guidance material?
    Look forward to your responses
    Russ

There is no guest-checkout feature available as such.
But technically, it is possible. Let me explain "how to" convert a B2B scenario as a guest check-out feature with
    1) Anonymous JCO user  -  standard
    2) Reference SOLD-TO and  -  (dummy SOLD-TO,  not standard)
    3) Dummy login CONTACT PERSON (without any actual logon)  -  (not standard)
With a proper reference (dummy) sold-to and dummy contact person, it is possible to create ALL orders for this one sold to and contact person.
The one-time ship to address is always input as the Guest user information and can be added as a "One-time" or "Drop-Ship" address for the sales order.
So, the solution will require new development in
    1) Getting the guest-user profile, (name, etc)  - (new) to override the contact person information in the transaction.
    2) Getting the guest-user SHIP-TO address  -  (new)
    3) Payment information (standard)
The side effects will be significant.  Certain features become almost useless. So, you must weigh in those negative factors.
    1) The search (order history) of transactions will require significant changes. This feature will be useless unless you don't have the user information.
    2) Any standard BI reporting, like the search, is customer dependent and that level of reporting can not be done.
    3) The impact will be on the service (Call center) side as well. You must now figure out a way to find the order by a guest-user. New user input, customer search and transaction search.
    4) Companies spend a lot of money to get information about their customers. They buy them. But when there is a feature available to collect that in the form of user registration,  it is a big waste of a good feature if you don't use it.. But, I am sure you have your solid reasons to do so..!!!

  • Function Point Analysis for SAP BW Projects

    Hello All,
Have been assigned a task to come up with Function Point
    analysis for SAP BW projects.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mainak

    Hi Mainak,
Function Point Analysis is independent of technology, methodology or platform, so there is no function point analysis specific for sap bw, rather you should familiarize with the fundamentals of FPA.
And as you might know, FAP is used to determine whether a given a tool, an environment or a language is more productive when compared to others.
I can send you good links if you can give me your email-id.
    Hope this helps...
    Thanks,
    Raj
