External Data Transfer - Business Partners?

Hi,
I am migrating business partners from a legacy brown system to a Green SAP system using KCLJ and keep running into the error below:
" Fields of record: PARTNER = . "
I am unable to troubleshoot this and need some help. My numbering is internal and I have all the required fields in the text file. I`m not sure what other information to put here, if anybody has any ideas, i`m happy to share more.

But anyways, have you separated the data/fields by comma(,) or semicolon(;)
Select the option in KCLJ appropriately.

Hi,
I am working in insurance module of SAP. There is a business object called Business Partner which we need to migrate from legacy to R/3.
Now for migration of Business partner generally LSMW is not used. People here use EDT (External data transfer).
Does some one know about EDT as data transfer tools ?

CO-PA External Data Transfer (KEFC)

Hello,
I am using KEFC t-code for external data transfer into CO-PA. The company code currency is activated at Operating Concern level.
So, KEFC is creating two records 1) record in USD 2) record in EUR (company code currency).
I am not able to figure out what exchange rate type it is using during the conversion.
Any ideas.

Have anyone already used COPA0007 Enhancement?
Is ther any customizing that is needed in order to SAP stop execution with a break-point in the FM's associated.
I'm trying to change data in external data transfer and I can not stop execution when running T-CODE KEFC.

Error in KEFC transaction - External Data Transfer

I am getting this error while using external data transfer function using KEFC.
Plan version is not supported -> check your entry
Message no. KG 029
Diagnosis
Plan version"xx" has not been created in operating concern"xxxx"
Procedure
Transfer version"xx" to operating concern"xxxx" and maintain the attributes for that version.
I have checked plan version settings. It has been created for operating concern as well. I am not sure how to resolve this. Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

Please check whether you defined a constant value for characteristic VERSI (Version) in the transfer rules for your sender structure. If you don't want to define a constant value there you have to assign a field from your external structure and fill the version in your external file. In this case please consider to fill the field in the following format '1 ' for version 1 (don't use '001').
Please refer and implement note 576807 in your system if it is in your system . Also refer note 508273 for a possible list of problems in external data transfer.

External data transfer into CO - Profitabilty Analysis tables

Gurus, Sending this again as the earlier one was not answered. Please give us some insight ASAP.
We are implementing the custom allocations to CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) records externally and trying to post close to million records into CO-PA table CE1xxxx. What is the most efficient method should be used for the posting of the externally created records into CO-PA table. Transaction KE21 is used for one entry at a time. We need to perform the mass data transfer. We also checked the BAPI BAPI_COPAACTUALS_POSTCOSTDATA. It clearly says that it is not for mass data transfer. Also, it updates the CE4xxxx table only. We need the data posted to CE1xxxx table. Any ideas!!!
There is a transaction KEFC - External data transfer to CO-PA. Has anyone used it? Please provide your insight on this transfer method.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

We use KEFC on a regular basis to upload actual sales data to PA from a third system.
An upload file is created in Excel, saved as a TXT file. The structure of that excel file is equal to the structure defined in customizing: define data interface to find the structure and: define structure of external data transfer to see the respective values of the columns you need in your excel file.

External data Transfer - Loan Module (t.code - KCLJ)

I have upload the loan source data through t.code KCLJ. and it showing me External data transfer completed with return code: 4. there is no error but no loan is created in server and also tables is not updated. is there any further step to update a loan transaction through EDT. i read SAP documentation here it's show that data saved in data pool. Please tell me what's the next step to update the loan data.

FCHX - External data transfer file format

FCHX - External data transfer creates a one line row of AP checks. I need to convert this flat file to bank format specifications. I have a program to do this. My problem is how do I convert the one line row into multiple line rows so I can use this in my conversion program.

What for you have created structure? is it for BP or IO or CA?
These are the Std structures provided by SAP for loading master data:
rkct994 - BCA Insurance SENDER
rkct995 - Insurance Object
rkct996 - Contract Data
rkct997 - Partner Data SENDER
All these structures contains AKTYP field in it.
Can you post more details.

Error while loading external data using Business Content

Hi,
I am new to BW and I'm stuck up with this problem.
I'm trying to load data from external file using business content cube(0PUR_C01)and infosources(2LIS_02_ITM/S012/SCL).
I first installed the above mentioned cube and data sources.
Then I activated the update rules and transfer rules, without any changes.(I don't know what changes might be required!)
Monitor is showing successful load but the cube has 0 enteries.
Even the simulation of update is showing data in the data target.
Can someone please guide me through this ?

Welcome to SDN !! Does your monitor shows any records extracted till PSA ? Go to the details tab -> processing and click on each node to check what monitor shows.

Unable to transfer Business Partners from CRM to Handheld

Hi Guys,
I am setting up a mobile environment using ME2.1. The setup has successfully happened and now i am facing a problem on transferring master data from CRM to Handheld. I have done the following:-
1) Assigned the User of Mobile a business partner in Employee role
2) Assigned a position to the business partner at the Sales org level
3) Have done the basic settings for handheld, i.e. created a PPR applicable to accounts, Users and Products (All required business partners and products have been assigned to this PPR)
4) Added all the required business partners as my favourties
5) Created a Business partner as an organisation in maximum possible roles and used the business partner in the reference account while doing the basic settings for handheld.
6) Done relevant transaction type setting for transferring the transactional data
After all the above, now i can see transactional data on the handheld as well as products. However in the business partners tab, i can only see the employee attached to my user-id and nothing else.
Am i missing something out in the customizing? Please help me.

unfortunately I can't help you with this problem. But can you give me some Links to Documentation for the Solution you implemented? Was the Documentation correct and usable? We are also currently implementing CRM 4.0 and find many inconsistencies.

I believe this has something to do with the format or the values (content) of the file you are trying to upload.

CO-PA External Data Transfer

Hello people
I am trying to use KEFC to load data from an external flat file (txt)
a) I used Define Data Interface KEFA using CE3XXXX Y CE4XXXX tables.
b) I used Maintain Transfer Rules KEFB, defining for characteristics the sender field and for ratios the formula field
c) Then I should create a txt file with the same order of the fields above defined ? or I need to define something more previous to use KEFC ?
because at the moment to try it, using parameters :
Sender structure : 10 (created with KEFA)
Input file : C:\10.txt
Editing : test run (flag)
The following message appear ; Enter either the physical file name or the logical file name

This error occurs when you specify the wrong file path. Please check the path you provide in the logical or physical input file name is correct. Also you need to specify a out put file name.

Say me error bank account in data transfer business partner

I need to load the data of master data business partner, but it to say me a error...that it bank account is missing application defined or object definer or object-defined error obj.
My error is account bank, but i don't know what the field is... I used the all template business partner, maybe missing account bank in the parametrization o something same??...
¿someone Know it?. and I hope that if You say me the step for to begin a new company in sap business one, yet I load data chart account ...

Hi Mary.......
You have to initially do some settings. Go to Administration --> Setup --> Banking --> Banks --> Define Bank Code and its Description here.
Again Go to Administration --> Setup --> Banking -->House Banks --> Select Bank Code you created and give the bank account and its GL to be hit at the time of outgoing payment.
Again Go to Administration --> Setup --> Banking --> Banks --> Select Bank Account in the respective field.
Then Go to Administration -->System Initialization --> Company Details --> Basic Initialization Tab and select this House bank account at the bottom given option for House Bank account.
Then try to import BP through DTW. This will definitely solve the problem you are facing...

How to implement a conversion rule in KC7R (External Data transfer-Tool)

Hi,
I am familiar with programming conversion rules in ABAP in the LSMW and IS-U Migration workbench.
Unfortunately we have to work with EDT (transaction KCLJ).
I need to implement a simple conversion rule: migration file has the external BP number BPEXT and I must retrieve the internalone (PARTNER) for the migration program.
So I must implement a short ABAP code (select single * from BUT000 ...).
Now I see that in KC7R you can use constants and conversion rules. There are also "General Ruels" and "conversion routines".
Can someone explain how to implement this simple ABAP conversion rule in KC7R giving a short example?
This would be great.
EDT is the workst of all SAP Standard Migration Tools I have seen.....
