External (dynamic) IP not refreshed automatically?

Hi all. Is WRT54G (v.6) supposed to refresh the external IP every time my ISP's DHCP changes it?
My ISP (Rogers, Canada) started changing IP-s daily, it's become really annoying that I have to refresh the IP manually on the router every day. I have the latest firmware 1.0.0.9

If you are not on XP and you did not install the activex components on the computer that the tool is running on, it will say that error, can you try adjusting the MTU to 1492, 1400, 1300 or 576 and check which one would hold your connection? Your IP should change automatically and the Internet information also should be automatically obtained by your computers (as with the changes in the router), try that first and check if it still disconnects you.

When you are manually refreshing the snapshot as scott/tiger, and your database link was defined with a 'connect to/identified by ' clause, your login credentials will be scott/tiger. When the refresh happens from the job queue, it does not use those credentials, It uses some default set. What you should probably do is:
1. create public database link Oracle using 'server1';
2. as scott/tiger, create database link Oracle connect to scott identified by tiger;
3. your automatic refresh should work now.

Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7 - additionals mailboxes does not refresh automatically

On Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7 , my additionals mailboxes does not refresh automatically (Outlook 2010 up-to-date).
i need to perform "send/receive" and "update the folder" to get the mail.
Primary mailbox is running correctly and new mails are displayed .

Based on the description, you added additional mailboxes from Outlook, but messges sent to these additional mailboxes didn't show until you tried the option "update the folder".
How many additional mailboxes did you add?
Did this issue affect all users?
If possible, please remove these additional mailboxes and then re-add them. I recommend you add one additional mailbox first to check if the issue occurs. Then you can add another additional mailbox to check result.

Business Layer not refreshed automatically

Dear Friends,
I'm working on IDT for creating business layers based on SAP BW Multi-providers. The issue I'm facing right now is that whenever I modify the underlying Multi-provider, my business layer is not getting refreshed automatically with the changes.
Please let me know if I need to do any settings in IDT for the business layer to get refreshed automatically or do I need to create a fresh design right from creating the connections.

Another quick question with something similar to above. I am building the UNX universe on top of Multi Provider and I noticed that normal select statements on Dimensions would return "ZERO" records unless a measure is included in the query. Is there a workaround for this? I do not mind using a dummy null measure for simple queries. However, this is becoming cumber some when doing cascading prompts. IDT has a simple way of doing it but me without being able to generate LOVs without a dummy measure, its becoming difficult to implement cascading LOVs.
Now the 2nd question is, I am developing all in DEV. When I use LCM and promote it to my QA, I can go ahead and create a new connection pointing to my QA Backend. However, when I try to change the connection from Dev to QA in the IDT Datafoundation "Connections" tab, it allows me to change the connection. However, the objects in the Business Layer does not reflect the new Calalog Name of the QA connection and none of them would parse. For example, Lets say my Dev connection is named D31Conn and my QA connection is named Q31Conn. Their catalog names by defaulyt are D31Conn and Q31Conn. Now, after developing my universe in BOBJ Dev and promoting it to QA, I am creating a new connection in BOBJ QA called Q31 Conn. When I open the promoted universe and try to change the connection from D31conn to Q31conn, it does it successfully. However, in my business layer, all objects would not parse and woul fail because their SQL still points to the old Catalog D31Conn instead of Q31Conn. Am I missing something here? Any help is much appreciated !

Does CP7.01 branching not refresh automatically?

I'm working in a file that uses branching, but when I instruct a button to jump to a specific slide the branching view isn't automatically refreshing to show the change. The change is active in the file, it just isn't reflected in branching view.
I setup a file in both CP6 and CP7 and recorded how the brancing view does not refresh in CP7 like it does in CP6.

A workaround avoiding to save/close/open the whole project seems to play with groups: select 2 slides, group them, then remove the group and you trigger a refresh (not always)....

BO XIR3.1 CMC does not refresh automatically

Inside CMC, there are various rights set to different groups (for e.g. the rights for "Administrators" are different from the rights of "Everyone"). When I click on one of the folders and check their user security, the other folder shows the same rights as of the first one. It doesn't change automatically to the rights of the next folder. I guess it has to do with automatic refresh.
I have noticed that CMC does not refresh pages properly. For example, I was checking the Access Rights set on a Public Folder, it shows all rights are granted for "Administrators". But, when I switch to "Everyone", it still shows all rights are granted, which is incorrect because they should be Unassigned.
I have to log off CMC, clear the cache/cookies in web browser and then Login again in order to see the correct settings.
That means, every time after I view the settings for an object, I have log out, clear cache, and re-login. Otherwise I will see incorrect information for the next one. Changing and configuring User Security settings is even a bigger challenge because I am not sure whether the values displayed on the screen are correct and what will the system remember.

When I take a photo with my phone is does not update automatically to my PC and IPAD even when they are all connected to wireless. I have to shut off the photo stream and turn it back on, even then it does not always work.

Your photos are not shared automatically. You must select photos and share them with others manually.

JComboBox in JTable not refresh automatically

I put a JComboBox in a JTable cell as editor and with a GlassPane over the whole frame. Initially, I got lots of problems in dispatching events to JComboBox. Eventually, comboBox.setLightWeightPopupEnabled(false) seems solve many of them. However, after I called the said API to prevent light-weighted popup in JTable, when I move mouse on popup list or navigate with scroll bar, the UI does not refresh at all. I am pretty sure that all the models except UI has been updated because when I switch to another application and back, the UI repaints with expected appearance.

I think you might be doing this to yourself. This block here:

My email is very slow and does not refresh automatically.

My Yahoo and Gmail accounts on my iPhone are very slow. They do no refresh automatically and I often have to restart the wireless to push emails out. I thought it might be the email provider but it happens with both accounts.

Try these basic troubleshooting steps and see if any of them help.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Windows Explorer Does Not Refresh Automatically (Needs F5) AND Takes A Long Long Time To Make New File

In Windows 7, it will go into this state where it won't update folders automatically, and I have to hit F5, as well, if I go for example, New->Text Document - it will hang the desktop and take like 3-4 minutes before coming back and showing the file.
It is like something is preventing or slowing down the refresh of windows explorer.
It happens about once a day, sometimes I reboot to see if I can get it to go away.

This kind of issue can be caused by several reasons, such as third party program, out-dated drivers.
To troubleshoot this issue, please perform the following steps:
1. Update BIOS and device drivers to the latest version.
2. If any security program is installed (anti-virus, firewall), please temporarily disable it
3. Test it in Clean Boot mode.
4. Reset Folder option:

2. Click View tab.
3. Click Reset folders.
4. Click Apply, click OK.
5. If it does not work, try a new account:

Dynamic HtmlPanelGrid - Not Refreshing

Hello,
I'm using the binding attribute of the <h:panelGrid> tag to reference a dynamically created HtmlPanelGrid on a backing managed bean. The HtmlPanelGrid is constructed on the fly based on data from the database.
All is well the first time the JSP is displayed.
When I navigate away from the JSP and return to it later via an action method that returns a navigation rule string, the HtmlPanelGrid is not getting refreshed.
I suspect the original HtmlPanelGrid is hanging around out there in session somewhere ... possibly in the ViewRoot/component tree. I can't understand why it's not getting reset on the subsequent visits to the page. I was under the impression that if you navigated to a page via a navigation rule that the component tree is refreshed. Is this not the case?
I have tried assigning unique id's, playing around with "transient" on the component (with unpredictable results, I might add). Not sure what fooling around with client side state saving would get me -- or if I even want to fool with that.
I have been using JSF now for nearly 2 years and really like it, but this has got to be the most frustrating thing I have come across.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'm happy (but a little embarrassed) to report the duplication was a result of a session scope List that was not getting cleared at the beginning of the page prep process. JSF appears to be working fine -- the problem was 100% programmer error!

RV042 Dynamic DNS not updating automatically

I purchased 2 RV042's (h/w version 3) less than two months ago. I updated them to the latest firmware (
v4.0.4.02-tm (Jul 4 2011 13:30:56)), did a factory reset to make sure I was working with a clean slate, set up DDNS through DynDNS and a site to site VPN between the two. Everything was working great for a month, then the DynDNS accounts expired because they weren't being updated.
I reactivated the names on the DynDNS site, and started to monitor the "last updated" date and time. After 24 hours there were no updates according to the DynDNS site. I logged into one of the RV042's, and it said "Dyndns Enabled : Dynamic DNS is updated successfully." This is a stale message from 24 hours ago when I hit save.
So I went into Setup | Dynamic DNS | Edit Config and there it also says "Dynamic DNS is updated successfully." I clicked "Save", status changed to "
Dyndns Enabled : Updating..." for a few seconds, and then back to "Dyndns Enabled : Dynamic DNS is updated successfully". I refreshed the DynDNS website and it shows the current time (in eastern time, i'm pacfic) as the last time it was updated. So it works when I manually hit the "Save" button. Not making any changed, just hitting "Save".
I've let the other RV042 go over 48 hours and it still hasn't updated.
So it apears for the time being, I'll have to remember to push the "Save" button once a week to prevent my DynDNS accout from expiring.
Does anyone have DDNS working in the lastest firmware and h/w version 3? If so, what is the update frequency?
I'd like to hear any suggestions on how I might be able to fix this, or if this needs to be fixed in the next firmware release. Hopefully, I've explained my problem clearly.

I am experiencing a problem with DynDns updater too. For me it seems that the updater (after a public IP change or reboot) only tries to update once, and if it failed then gives up and never tries again.
I have to update manually (pushing the update button) which sooner or later succeeds. (Sometimes the first trial is successful, sometimes only the second or third.)
I have an RV042 (v3) with firmware at 4.1.1 and a DynDns Pro subscription.
I have a site-to-site VPN between two RV042s, both with dynamic IP. When the VPN tunnel drops, I usually detect that one of the public IPs has changed and the router for some reason failed to update DynDns. If I do it manually pushing the update button (one or more times), the tunnel comes up of course.
Again, I suspect the problem is with the updater's "strategy" and timing. Should it wait a bit more after detecting a new public IP and retrying in every 5-10 minutes after a failed update attempt it would be more reliable.

This is My req: I m going to display pie chart and Bar chart in share point 2013.
Steps I have follwed:
1. Export the list to excel.
2.Using the Power Pivot table I have done the chart.
3. Uploaded into document Library.
4. Added into the web part.
Chart are displaying. But When ever user added the data into the list chart is refreshing.
Is there any option to refresh the data in chart? Waiting for valuable replies.

SharePoint lists as data sources in Excel Services is not supported.That's the reason refreshing is not working. There are some work around you can use -
Export as Data Feed - Export your SharePoint list as Data Feed , use this data feed to a PowerPivot for Excel workbook and publish this PowerPivot using Excel Services.
User-defined functions - write UDF in C# and extend the Excel Services functionality to work with SharePoint lists.

Dynamic lists that refresh automatically-advice needed

I have an insert form with a menu/list box that draws from my main table records. Right now we have over 11,000 records but I created a table that filters it down to about half that.
What I want to do, is make it so that as the visitor to the site who is going to add a record when they get to this box and start typing in the name, it begins filtering that list further.
For example, the field is for the sire of a dog record being added. As they type in 'brook' it would filter to all the sire names in the list that start with 'brook'.
I have been reading about 'spry'. Is this the best option? What would be the best features to start trying?

that´s definitely something which requires AJAX functionality anyway, and SPRY also comes with an "Auto Suggest" Widget, example:

Didn´t try this yet, but it should be possible to add this functionality to a regular ADDT form -- however, there´s also ADDT´s "Autocomplete Text Field" behaviour available, which does the same and is - hehind the scenes - based on similar AJAX functionality as well

Lov need to be refreshed automatically

Dear All,
I have report with 7 prompts (3 are optional) . Whenever we refresh the report all the prompts are displayed. Now requirement is when we click on any of the prompt in view mode, LOV list with updated Values need to be populated for the selected prompt.
I tried using "Automatic refresh before use" option still its not refreshing automatically after selecting any prompt. We still have to refresh the LOV list manually.
Can we do something for auto population of LOV?

We had the same issue in our universes. I found that when the prompt has default value, LoV is not refreshed automatically even with "automatic refresh" option for the LoV...
For example, in our case we used such condition objects to allow selection all companies by entering asterisk:
@Select(Company\Company No.)
IN @Prompt('Company Numbers:','A','Company\Company No.',multi,free,,{'*'})
or
'*' IN @Prompt('Company Numbers:','A','Company\Company No.',multi,free,,{'*'})
List of values is not refreshed automatically with asterisk as default parameter. Without default value, it is working fine:
@Select(Company\Company No.)
IN @Prompt('Company Numbers:','A','Company\Company No.',multi,free)
or
'*' IN @Prompt('Company Numbers:','A','Company\Company No.',multi,free)
