External E-mail Setup

I have tried to set up an 'external' e-mail address I purchased sometime ago and used with my BT/Yahoo account for many years.
Since the change over to BT Mail I cannot send messages from this e-mail account, although I do receive them.
I have followed the instruction..ie..Settings ..Mail...Accounts...Add ect all to no avail..
In addition when I want to send an e-mail from this address there is no drop down option to access it.
Complete disaster
Any assistance would be welcomed

Obviously 'NOT" or I would not of asked for assistance...Only occurred after the change over !!!!!!

  • Outlook 2013 Mail Setup Add Account crashes with Rundll32 error and will not connect to Exchange in Windows 8.1

I got a new Acer laptop with Windows 8.1 over 3 weeks ago, and installed Office Professional Plus 2013.  I have an Office365 E1 subscription, but this Office 2013 is not associated with the subscription.
When I go to setup any email account using the automatic mode (primary will be Exchange Online with my 365 account, but I've tested POP email accounts with the same result), the Mail Setup crashes once the email address and password is entered and Next is
pressed.  This error message is displayed:
"Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
The step displayed as in process when the crash occurs is the "Searching for [email address] settings".  The first step "Establishing network connection" is checked complete.
I've run an Office Repair, and there's no change.  I've run a clean boot, and even uninstalled/reinstalled with the same error still appearing.
If I use the manual setup mode and input the server outlook.office365.com, both the Check Name function and the Next button result in the error message:
"The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."  The folks in the Office365 support community have told me that Office365 ExchangeOnline
servers have to be configured with the auto-setup and cannot be setup manually.
I've done both a system refresh and a system reset, and I'm still getting the Rundll32 error.  I tried to run a reset from a disk, but the laptop does not want to run it from the external DVD drive (giving error messages), so that doesn't appear
    to be an option.
I've searched extensively, and there doesn't seem to be any existing threads where anything like this problem is discussed.
Can you offer any ideas or solutions?
After THREE WEEKS of troubleshooting this, and some significant delays in getting help from support, I'm really close to returning this laptop.
I need an answer on this ASAP to see if you've got an insights before I return the laptop for a new one.
    Thanks,
    Jason

  • Outlook 2013 Mail Setup Add Account crashes or will not connect to Exchange in Windows 8.1

I've posted this in the answers.Microsoft.com forum, as well as the Office365 forum, and they sent me here, saying the Outlook engineers would be the best to help with this.  I actually already posted this question a week ago, but nobody here replied.
Getting a bit frustrated at the lack of support, except for Richard over at the Office365 Forum.
I'm setting up a new laptop with Windows 8.1.  Just installed Office Professional Plus 2013.

I've run an Office Repair, and there's no change.  I've run a clean boot, and no change.  I uninstalled/reinstalled both from the Click to Run version, as well as reinstalling from a disk install, with the same error still appearing.
If I use the manual setup mode and input the server outlook.office365.com, both the Check Name function and the Next button result in the error message:
"The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
I've disabled the firewall and still get this Outlook error.  I am able to start Outlook and it will run now, and I can connect POP and IMAP email using the manual setup, but still cannot connect to ExchangeOnline via the manual setup.  I still
get the error "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
I deleted the Outlook data file and deleted the profile, and created a new profile, and I'm still getting the Add account setup crash Rundll32 error in the auto-setup mode.
Important to note: I tested my friend's Office365 E3 ExchangeOnline account and was able to get a successful setup test, so it doesn't appear that the problem is entirely just the Outlook2013 client, since it worked once with a 365 Exchange account.
I've been trying to get this working for 2 weeks now, and I am unable to completely switch off my old laptop using Outlook 2010 until I can get Outlook2013 setup on my new one, which is a huge hassle.
Can you offer any ideas or solutions?  Please help ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Jason

  • External Hard Drive Setup

Hello! I am an amateur filmmaker aged 17, and for the past couple years I have been using my school's excellent computers (iMac 2010 27"), software (FCP 7), and external hard drive setup (500GB LaCie Rugged Firewire 800).
I'm gonna be a senior this year and am looking to create my own setup. I got myself a 15" MacBook Pro Retina with 16gb memory, 2.3GHz quad core processor, 500GB internal solid state storage, and am using Premiere Pro as my software. The only real thing I'm missing (besides audio setup, which isn't as important to me right now) is external drive for faster editing. I want a lot of storage but at the same time high speeds all for the lowest price. I also want to use my external drive for other stuff like family photos and music.
MY idea was to get a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive (not sure which one) to store all the footage I want on hand and then get a 4TB desktop hard drive (cheaper) for all the rest of my stuff and to store footage I no longer need quick access to.
    My questions are:
What hard drives should I get?
    Is this a good solution?
    Is 4TB overboard?
Should I be spending this much as  a 17 year-old?
Should I just stick with internal storage for now and not pay for external drive?
btw, one of the 500gb drives I was looking at was by Touro. Trustworthy?

  • Alerts to External E-mail PI 7.0  SP13

    Hi,
I'm trying to configure alerts to an external e-mail id and was browsing through some the answers in forum.
And it surprised me that I do not see some options mentioned in those answers on my SAP screen
    1) RWB>ALERT INBOX> PERSONALIZATION--> Time Independent Delivery and Email are selected.
Que: The personalization options I have are Mail, Fax and SMS. I do not see a "E-Mail" option, am I missing something or its the same "Mail" option?
    2) Also, In ALRTCATDEF, go to SETTINGS--> CONFIGURATION. By default, the option selected is INTERNAL PROCESSING. Select the option SMTP FORWARDING AS XML and give the email id. This will enable you to send an email alert whenever an error occurs in XI.
Que: When I go to ALRTCATDEF -> Settings -> Configuration, I see only 3 sections Inbound Processing,Status Handling with Mails and Logging.
I do not see Processing , Personalization and XML Formatting sections.
Are things different in PI 7.0  SP 13 or I need to configure/ activate something?
Note: Alerts to RWB -> Alert inbox are working perfect.
I'm able to send e-mails to external mail ID from SAP Inbox, so I guess SMTP in SCOT is configured right.
    Please help!!
    Regards,
    Anish

    Hi,
In personalisation  --. substitute u need to give u r XI user id
and in SU01 u need to declare u r email ID to u r XI user id
    REad the below
To send an EMAIL, assign an EMAIL ID to the corresponding user in the transaction SU01 and then set up SCOT and you can send emails when the ALERT is triggered.
Once you have configure Alerts, you will get the Alerts into ALERT INBOX in RWB of the user. To also get the email, the following needs to be done,
    1. In SU01 -- Assign the Email ID for the Recipient of the ALERT.
    2. In , RWB>ALERT INBOX> PERSONALIZATION--> Time Independent Delivery and Email are selected.
    3. Finally, SCOT needs to be set up to send Emails. Check this for the same. You can ask your BASIS team to do this step.

Also, In ALRTCATDEF, go to SETTINGS--> CONFIGURATION. By default, the option selected is INTERNAL PROCESSING. Select the option SMTP FORWARDING AS XML and give the email id. This will enable you to send an email alert whenever an error occurs in XI.
Also, to test your Alerts, execute the report RSALERTTEST in SE38.

  • Sending mail to external e-mail id in workflow

    Hi
I am trying to send a mail to external e-mail id in workflow,i selected recipient type as e-mail address and i gave the e-mail id.
But im not getting any mail. Please help me.

First check via tcode SOST if your workflows sends the e-mail to the stack. If yes, you should see your e-mail in this transaction, with a yellow icon. If this is so, you need to configure SMTP via tcode SCOT. If no, there's a problem in your workflow (you might want to check the workflow log in this case, via tcode SWIA).
To configure SMTP, follow this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/2b/d925bf4b8a11d1894c0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm

  • E-mail setup launching of its own accord

I'm using a Nokia X6 and ever since Orange merged with T-Mobile, the E-mail setup wizard has been launching of its own accord asking me to allow the application to use network to send or recieve data, I hit No and it goes away, but the wizard will keep launching.
It only seems to launch when the phone is locked and if I go in and out of signal.
    Some help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Any help? It's quite a pain. I've tried restarting, but that hasn't fixed it.

e.g. in case the downloaded PO Confirmation file is to be sent to Vendors Gmail id or vice versa.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,
    Follow the below steps:
1)Login as a Supplier and go to Tools --> File transfer --> download center and click on create
    2) Enter Customer BP=<customer_BP> then click on next
    3) Select Purchase due list then click on next
    4) click on next
5)Select peridicity of the job as per your need and click on next
6)Enter profile name, delivery type of download file as email attachment and enter external email ID(supplier email id or person who wants this file as email) check the immediate file generation check box then click on finish.
Ensure that basis setting is done such that external email can be sent otherwise system will not sent email to external email id.
You can check email is sent or not goto transaction code:SOST and check the same.

  • How do I get out of iOS Mail Setup?

    Hi All
I got a new iPad Mini for  Christmas.  I got it set up and working easily and fairly quickly.
I copied my Mail settings from my MacPro (OSX 10.8) using the "Sync selected Mail accounts" check box in iTunes. I've been reading mail on my iPad for about a month.
Yesterday I traveled several hours to stay with a friend for a while. I got the iPad on my friends WiFi without a problem and I can surf the web, map stuff and everything appears to be working fine... till I check email.
When I open Mail, I'm presented with the "Welcome to Mail" setup screen - like mail thinks it's not configured.
I go into Settings/Mail, Contacts and Calendars, and all my email  acccounts are there, just like they should be.
The iPad is playing the New Message alert chime as it fetches mail in the background.
When I open Mail all I get is the Welcome to Mail screen!
I tried putting in dummy info to get past the setup, but that fails and I end up back at the Welcome to Mail screen.
How do I get out of the stinking setup screen and back to my emails?

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I believe I've solved the problem.
    What I did:
I have several email accounts (ISP, Gmail, etc). I have them set to forward to one 'primary' account and I have that set to Active and the rest set to Inactive.
I went into Settings/Mail, Comtacts and Calendars and activated one of the inactive accounts, and de-activated the account I normally use. This change apparently convinced Mail that it was indeed configured and it got out of the setup screen and back to may emails.
I then went back to Settings/Mail, Contacts and Calanders and returned the accounts to their original configurations. Things are now back to 'normal'.
This is clearly a programming issue. Apps should not need to be 'kicked' like that to function.

  • How can I edit external e-mails accounts configurations I had on Mobile Me mail and now on iCloud?

how can I edit external e-mails accounts configurations I had on Mobile Me mail and now are
    on iCloud?

Thanks for the answer, but the external POP accounts I had in my MobileMe are working in my iCloud! I receive all the e-mails that are directed to those POP accounts, in my iCloud e-mail, since I migrated from Mobileme to iCloud. So, iCloud accepts external accounts, but i doesn't allow us to edit new configurations or to send e-mails using Pop Accounts through it. Very weird. Does anybody have a solution?

  • Lost my e-mail setup icon, HELP!

My phone recently had an issue and would not load the address book. I had done my last backup on 1/24/10 and retored the phone. Now I have no e-mail setup icon to add another e-mail address. I also get e-mails but they go to Messages, not the specific e-mail icon to which its related. PLEASE HELP!

    Hi there!
    I suggest the following steps:
    1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.
