External Editor does not recognize LR changes

I have PS CS5 installed, and after moving to LR4 I find that editing from LR to PS does not carry over all the changes made in LR. The crop is retained, but all lighting and color changes are not. AND, I can't get to the screen the asks you if you want to edit a copy with or without LR changes. So I'm stuck. Any thoughts?

For above error Table /TMWFLOW/REP_DATA_FLOWwas refreshed as well but still the same error.

If you are in Test System, you can use function module AA_AFABER_DELETE to totally delete the depreciation area (tcode SE37, specify chart of depreciation and depreciation area), After that recreate your depreciation area and run AFBN. But before you do that, have you created a retirement transaction type that limits the posting on your new depreciation area? If not create one.

PSE Elements 9 Editor does not recognize scanner

Mac OS 10.7 Lion. Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Editor does not recognize my scanner (Epson 3170 Photo) even though scanner shows up in Preferences Print & Fax. Awkward workaround is to scan to desktop and open scan in PSE9.

Over in Windows, applications link to a scanner via TWAIN software, which is not included with Windows 7 - so the solution is to manually download the twain driver and install it

Try making separate desktop icons for the Editor and Organizer. You can then launch directly. The standard desktop icon is for the welcome screen which often runs in the background or doesn’t shut down properly.
Start by right-clicking on the desktop and select:
New >> Shortcut
Then browse to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13
Inside the Photoshop Elements 13 folder make sure you select the application (not a shortcut) by scrolling down to the files beginning with the letter P and highlighting ‘PhotoshopElementsEditor’
Then click next followed by finish.
You can repeat for the Organizer using the different file path.
New >> Shortcut
Then browse to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 13 Organizer
Highlight ‘PhotoshopElementsOrganizer’
Then click next, followed by finish.
Now that you have your separate desktop icons you can delete the one for the welcome screen, if preferred.

Flickr export does not recognize metadata changes

* I did publish some photos to flickr with the flickr publishing service
* Then I edited some metadata (GPS Data)
==> the flickr publisher does not recognize the changes, so the photos are not marked for "republishing"
it seems that the flickr publich services recognizes only changes in "capture" and "title".
that's strange, because if I had to explicitely mark each photo to "republish" I don't need a built-in publishing service

There is not really a need for colormanagent on the web.* You should only use sRGB since:
1. Many web browsers don't even understand profiles other then sRGB, including the most used (unfortunately) web browser: Internet explorer.
2. 99% of people surfing the web don't have calibrated monitors.
*usually, the profiles conversion already happened before the upload, just make sure the version you upload is in sRGB.

I use itunes to store my music but I use Virtual DJ Broadcaster to play it. Somehow itunes has changed from Itunes Music Library to Itunes library. Virtual DJ does not Recognize the change.

Is it possible to Save my last library and Playlist and re-name everything else in my itunes account so it will again show "Itunes Music Library" Past libraries are of no consiquence . I'm hoping removing everything except the last Library on my computers will make Virtual DJ recognize it. I tried renameing the Library to "Itunes Music Library" but it did not work. I fear the problem is in the Registry and without the correct path I am reluctand to play around in there. Any help would be appreciated.

Incidentally, my first thought was to map a network share from the NAS to my computer, so that my music files appear on the Z: drive, say on my computer. I could then set up iTunes to store music etc in that folder, and to copy all new items to that folder. However, if I do that, all that'll happen is that on my NAS, the library file will become out of date as I add music to the collection but not to the index.

Sending to external editor does not send adjustments

Hi all - having an issue sending to more than one external editor.
I send to a NIK plugin (color efex), apply a fillter and then save.
After that I may want to send to Photoshop.
If I make any ajustments in Aperture (to the filtered file - the new TIFF master) before sending to the second external editor thos adjustments will be ignored.
For example -
I start with a RAW file. I make adjustments in Aperture. All Good.
I send this to Color Efex and give it a cross process. Save.
Back in Aperture i now have a TIFF file (cross processed).
If I then (for the sake of this example) completely desaturate the color (now its black and white) and then send this TIFF to photoshop using the send to external editor command the image in photoshop will be *color* - with the cross processing on it.
If I cancel this and then go back to Aperture and send the Black and White Picture to Colour effects again, it's also not black and white.
In summery the adjustments made after the first "send to external editor" do not carry to the second "send to external editor"
(It should be noted that any adjustments made before the first "send to external editor" do in fact carry to the external editor. It's only the second round that does not.)
Am i looking at a bug here?
Any others had this experience.

Here is an Apple provided tip for working with Photoshop as an External Editor (which by extension currently applies to any use of third-party software used to edit images in conjunction with Aperture).

Elements 12 editor does not recognize .jpg

My Elements 12 image editor will not open a jpeg. It will open a tiff and other files but not a file ending in .jpg.
For many years I have used Elements to open my iPhoto images and edit them. I used to use Elements 3, then Elements 6, and finally Elements 12. Elements 12 worked fine up until last night when I could not make it open any iPhoto jpegs. I have Elements 12 selected in my iPhoto Advanced Prefs to be the app to edit my iPhoto images. It worked fine up until yesterday when it no longer would open an image.
I soon discovered my Elements 12 will not open any jpeg even if I were to drag an image from my desktop to the editor. Some times I see a pop up note saying that my Elements 12 does not recognize a file ending with .jpg
If I double click several times on Edit in my iPhoto, Photo Ninja will open the image and tell me that Photo Ninja will now edit the image.
Any help will be appreciated.

Editor is set to print a 10.2 x 15.2 cm image on A4 paper in landscape
view and appears to be the right proportion in the preview pane.
"Editor is set to print a 10.2 x 15.2 cm image".
This is not clear to me. How/what is set?
A4 paper is 29.7 cm x 21 cm.
Are you trying to fill this entire sheet of paper with one image, or are you trying to print a picture package?

Edit in External Editor does not work

Hi,
I added as External Editor Photoshop CS3, but no matter what option I chose as file format, bit depth or color space, Lightroom will always apply the defaul setting in "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS3" preference tab, rather than the one I select.
Do you know how to sort this problem out?

Apparently Adobe associates the Edit In settings with the physical path of the executable so you cannot specify two sets of settings with one EXE; however, you can trick it into working by making a copy of the executable with a different name, and associate that second copy with the secondary Editor. I copied Photoshop.exe to Photoshop_.exe and the settings can be independently specified.

PS cc as External Editor does not add to catalog

In LR 5.2, when I edit a NEF in PS cc and save it to the same location as a jpg, the jpg appears in the catalog. If it is sorted by capture time it is next to the original nef.
In LR 5.3 the jpeg is not added to the catalog. It can be seen in File Manager in the same folder. It is not stacked.
I am sorry if this is a duplicate question.

Although I have Pixelmator and Photoshop CS4, neither are a drop-down option in ext editor pull down.... Topaz is. Any idea how to get the program to "see" that I own CS4 and Pixelmator to add these?

LCM does not recognize the changes made in Currency dimension

Good day all,
We are doing a Planning application migration from Prod to QA environment. Yesterday, the target planning application's currency dimension was set to Multiple currency. Then earlier today, my colleague updated the target application's currency dimension to single currency. Now, every time we perform the migration, LCM says that:
"Data storage cannot be stored to Label Only, Dynamic Calc, or Dynamic calc and store for entity versions, currencies and user defined dimension in multi currency dimensions".
Does this mean that LCM still sees the currency dimension of the target application as multicurrency? May we know how to fix this?

My apple ID and password is now different and cloud does not recognize the changes. How do I change it on Imac and Macpro

Can anyone tell me how to change my default ID on Cloud, to my new ID and passord? I have the problem with both computers. The Imac and Macpro. There are no options in the box to make changes.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Purchase Order Carryforward (FMJ2) Does Not Recognize Assignment Changes

In our year end processing, we ran FMJ2 to do purchase order carryforward. We have about 15 documents which had erroneous carry forward amounts. In each of these documents, there was a change in account assignment in the sender fiscal year. Fields which had assignment changes included Fund, Commitment Item, and/or Funded Program.
When FMJ2 did the carryforward, it appears to have ignored the assignment change, and ignored any subsequent activity applied to the new assignment.
It brought forward only activity applied to the original assignment.
Has anybody else enountered this? Can anybody tell me what may be causing this, and how to fix it?

If you need to perform a carryforward with changes in FM Account Assignment, you should define a Derivation Strategy for reassignment on closing operations.
So, what you could do here is to reverse the Carryforward using FMJ3, and then define this derivation strategy for reassignment and perform FMJ2 again.
You don't specify which is the release you are working on, but nevertheless, please find more information in the SAP Library / Funds Management for SAP_APPL 470-EA-PS200:

and choose Chapter "Closing Operations-> Derivation Strategy for Reassignment with Closing Operations".

i have set pse as my default editor in iphoto. when i double click a photo to edit, PSE 11 launches, but there is no photo displayed.
i have a similar query in the adobe forum.
and as an aside, where the heck are the picture files after i import them from my camera or phone?

You are selecting the wrong file in the PSE 10 folder as the file to use. It should be the one inside the Support file folder:
