External files to exe issue

Hi.
I have an application that calls external swf files with
loadMovie.
When i publish it in .exe, the external files do not appear
anymore.
Anyone knows why?
Thanks.

Make sure the paths are correct, if the SWF is in the same
directory then
just specify the filename in the load movie command.
Try this first.

  • Textinput issue from external file in AIR application (Is it bcz of mask?)

    Hi
    I tried to load external swf in TabNavigator. In this file, I have some input text.
    I can key in external file's text input after load. But i got  "Security Sandbox Violation" error.
    Here is the code
    <s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
                                                         xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"

                        </mx:Canvas>
    </mx:TabNavigator>

    To solve security issue, i used load swf as bytes. After load there is no security issues, but i cannot key in external file's text input.

    Thanks for your reply,
    Yes, the addedToStage handler is executed every time. I set my host application up to work exactly with that behaviour. There are several events going from client to host to help the communication inside the the application. I can't get behind the reason why it won't work.
    I made a case where I created a camera instance inside the host application and passed it over to the client via
    client.setupFunction(inArg: arg, sendCamera: Camera);
    That works. But I also need a microphone, and I can't get the mic working over with the same technique. And also I'd prefer to have it all in the client, cause I designed the application model to work exactly in that fashion.
    I guess it's a secruity sandboxing problem, but I can't find any documentation on this issue.
    Thanks, maybe another solution can be found here. ;-)

  • SoundMAX driver reload issue - External file required by 7ka114ww_2_.xml ?

    MIGR-67816 has 2 exe's for download. The SoundMAX driver/app install and a 2nd exe that says it is required by 7ka114ww_2_.xml  - But the driver install does not ask for the "external" file at any point.
    How is the 2nd file used? It doesn't appear to do anything when I run it. Where does it need to be copied to for the xml file to reference it?
    Running WinXP SP2 but the driver installer is failing somewhere. I reboot after loading it and the driver errors out saying it failed to load on boot.
    I tried upgrading to SP3 with no luck as well.
    Thanks!

  • Run *.exe external file in creator2 success...

    Hi,
    I find (by accident) creator2 output *.txt file of external program writefile3.exe in server folder:
    <install folder>\SunAppServer8\domains\creator\config\
    The button action code in java is:
    try {
    String[] command = {"cmd.exe", "/c","F:/CreatorProjects/Button2/WriteFile3.exe"};
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
    p.waitFor();
    } catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    If I change directory in C program by :
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <direct.h>
    void main()
         int c;
         FILE fp1,fp2;
         _chdir("F:\\CreatorProjects");
         fp1=fopen("hellofr.txt","r");
         fp2=fopen("hello.txt","w");
         while((c=getc(fp1))!=EOF)
              if(c!='\n')
                   fprintf(fp2,"%c",c);
              else if(c=='\n')
                   fprintf(fp2,"\n");
         fclose(fp1);
         fclose(fp2);
    I get the output to directed folder (now server folder doesn't have an output).
    Can someone give rational explanation for these observations???
    I wish to acknowledge my gratitude to Mr.Marco for his contribution to these ideas through this forum.

    The server functions in a globalized context. During any servlet activity (borders of ) folders disappear momentarily (say few nanoseconds) and reappear by a predetermined organized fashion. During this process server communicates with a browser. This breakdown and reformulation of folders probably is essential for linking across virtual world and may be an explanation for what we see here...
    Please feel free to comment..

  • Reading the Blob and writing it to an external file in an xml tree format

    Hi,
    We have a table by name clarity_response_log and content of the column(Response_file) is BLOB and we have xml file or xml content in that column. Most probably the column or table may be having more than 5 records and hence we need to read the corresponding blob content and write to an external file.

    What was wrong with the previous answers given on your other thread:
    Export Blob data to text file(-29285-ORA-29285: file write error)
    If there's a continuing issue, stay with the same thread, don't just ask the same question again and again, it's really Pi**es people off and causes confusion as not everyone will be familiar with what answers you've already had. You're just wasting people's time by doing that.
    As already mentioned before, convert your BLOB to a CLOB and then to XMLTYPE where it can be treated as XML and written out to file in a variety of ways including the way I showed you on the other thread.
    You really seem to be struggling to get the worst possible way to work.

  • Help with delivering dynamic text through an external file, through XML?

    I'm struggling to find the best way to deliver dynamic text
    from an external file, through XML, to a Flash file.
    I use small Flash pieces to deliver multiple sets of content
    through a single .swf file. An example is here:
    http://www.esi-intl.com/public/government/federal.asp
    In the .swf file at the bottom, I'm using a three-scene .fla
    file. I'm putting the actionScript in the Actions layer atop each
    frame. Example:
    stop ();
    loadVarsText = new LoadVars();
    loadVarsText.load("fedNews.txt");
    //assign a function which fires when the data is loaded:
    loadVarsText.onLoad = function(success) {
    if (success) {
    trace("done loading");
    //Now that we know the data is loaded,
    //set the text content of the Text Field
    //with the instance name "scroller" equal to the
    //contents of the variable
    scroller.html=true;
    scroller.htmlText = this.var1;
    } else {
    trace("not loaded");
    In that .txt file, I'm putting the information like this:
    var1=<font face="tahoma,verdana,sans-serif" size="11px"
    color="#000000"><b><a href='
    http://www.esi-intl.com/public/classroomtraining/dau.asp'>DAU
    Grants ESI Course CON353
    Equivalency</a></b><br>Advanced Business Solution
    in Contracting (CON 353) is an equivalency for DAU's CON 3535
    course, Advanced Business Solutions for Mission Support. <a
    href='
    http://www.esi-intl.com/public/classroomtraining/dau.asp'><U><font
    color="#996633">Continue</font></U></a></font>
    So much of this is pick-ups from what I've researched in
    Google. I'm looking for a way I can feel more confident in my code,
    and also have that code follow CSS.
    Lastly, I recognize the problems in XML with using single
    quotes / double quotes, and the & symbol. This is one of my
    largest time sucks, and I'd like to find a better way to do this.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Did you ever find a resolution to this? I'm having a similar
    issue that I can't seem to get multiline dynamic text working in
    CS3.
    The font is embedded but it just displays the first line, and
    then a blank. I'm sure this worked fine in Flash MX.
    Cheers, Ant

  • Accesing external files in ME

    Hi,
    I would like to read and write "external" files in a midlet. I mean, I want to be able to create a text file on a PC, transfer it to the phone, and read it (and vice versa).
    I know there is JSR-75. I even found an example:
    [Java Tips - How to Access Local File Systems from J2ME devices using FileConnection API|http://www.java-tips.org/java-me-tips/midp/how-to-access-local-file-systems-from-j2me-devices-using-fileconnectio-2.html]
    It works on Netbeans, but it doesn't work in my phone. The midlet just present a white form and doesn't do anything.
    I think the problem is with permissions. The example includes the following "In order to overcome security issues MIDlet needs to include requested file permission in its JAD file under MIDLet-Permission property."
    I know how to edit the JAD file in Netbeans. My question is what is the value given to the property? Is there any other way to give permissions to the midlet in order to read and write files?
    Thanks

  • How do I link external files (.pdf's) in the flash content please?  I'm creating a CD interface

    Hello
    I'm new to Adobe CS software and would like some advice please.
    My company uses a CD with a flash interface that opens via an .exe or .app file.  The original designer is on maternity leave at the moment but we need some content updates before she gets back and I’m deciding whether to redo the CD myself or to source a new designer.
    So far I've been able to replicate most of the CD in Catalyst using the trial version but there is one thing stopping me from buying the software.  I can't find a way to link external files (specifically pdf's) via the flash content.  The CD is for instruction manuals so once the interface has been navigated the user needs to click on a button to open the desired pdf manual.
    Is this possible in Catalyst or am I looking at the wrong software?
    I can't write code and my experience is limited so I would appreciate help from someone who knows what they're talking about please and any software recommendation would also be great
    If I need to outsource please tell me but bear in mind that I have been able to do all the design work and it's just linking the pdf's that I'm struggling with
    Thanks in advance and for any help

    Hi Bear,
    Thanks for your quick answer.
    Flash Catalyst currently prefixes all links with "http://", so you would need to save your FXP in Catalyst, open the FXP in builder, and remove the "http" so that you're just loading the local pdfs.
    I tried your suggestion but couldn't get it working so I'm probably doing something wrong since I'm not very familiar with Flash Builder.
    I created the button > on click > go to url interaction in Catalyst and saved the project (tried it using a PDF saved on our server and also my PC).
    I imported the FXP and opened to "project name / src / (default package) / main.mxml / button name"
    After deleting "http" I selected "export release build" and opened the new SWF and also tried the HTML; the new button just opened to my homepage instead of the PDF
    I also tried deleting "http:" and "http://" which deactivated the button completely (I expect some coders will laugh at that but I am a noob )
    Unfortunately linking to online files isn't an option for me so do you see what I'm doing wrong please?
    Thanks for your help

         It created successfully using SQL Developer
    Here is the issue.
    It is not loading the records, where fields are enclosed in '"' (Rec # 2,3,4,7)
    It is loading all NULL value record (Rec # 6)
    *** If we remove the '"' from input data, it loads all records including all NULL records
    Log file has
    KUP-04021: field formatting error for field P_NAME
    KUP-04036: second enclosing delimiter not found
    KUP-04101: record 2 rejected in file ....
    Our questions
    Why did "REJECT ROWS WITH ALL NULL FIELDS" not working?
    Why did Terminated by "," OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"' not working?
    Any idea?
    Thanks in helping.

    I don't think this is a SQLDeveloper issue. You will get better answers in the Database - General or perhaps SQL and PL/SQL forums.

  • Captivate can manipulate an external file?

    Captivate 4
    Output: .exe, but we can convert to .swf, if this was necessary.
    Like a .txt, or something else?
    We have a course finished and ready to start, except for the organization of the student info (name, lesson viewed, quizz result);
    We create a Delphi Menu that load that external info, to liberate the exact lesson to the student;
    Now, we need to, at the end of the lesson, that Captivate access an external file, so that we can input some data (that could be used as a variable in CP) to be read by the Delphi app.
    Could CP help me with this?
    I just realized that, to have the level of interaction that we want to our lessons (viewed locally, manipulating the students informations in a database, and so on), I will have to build a app container in a Flash AIR. I´m starting to study AS3, and AIR (lynda.com courses are a good start?) to create this, but we are in a hurry for this initial course, that is finished, but without seccurity and database control.
    Any help will be apreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    The solution below uses JavaScrip & ASP to post information from Captivate to a Microsot Access database.
    You can test the prototype here (http://www.myshbp.com/captivate/cap4demo.htm).

  • How to test if an external file is already opened?

    We have an issue when we write to an external file via the DBOpen and DBAdd functions. When we run two jobs simultaneously, they write to the same file. I know we can write to separate files, but we rather not. When the second job begins to do the write, at that point of entry for the second job, that record gets corrupted.
    I'm not sure if it is a DBOpen issue, or DBAdd issue, so I was wanting to try a test to see if the file is already open and bypass the DBOpen if it is. But I don't see anything that will test that other than the DBOpen function itself. When I capture the return code, the result is successful for both jobs. But I"m not wanting to do another DBOpen if the file is already open.
    How do I test for that?

    In the DBOpen call specification, there is a mode parameter which supports combinations of the following:
    * READ
    * WRITE
    * CREATE_IF_NEW
    * FAIL_IF_EXISTS
    You can combine multiple modes with &, so the 2 ^nd^ job should use DBOpen(table,handler,dfd,"WRITE&FAIL_IF_EXISTS") and you can examine the return code accordingly (1 = success, 0 = fail). That said, I don't think this is going to work. If you want to have multiple processes writing to a single file you're probably better off writing the records to a database table which supports this sort of activity. Otherwise you might consider having each job writing to a separate temp file, and then one of the jobs be responsible for reading both temporary files and writing out a 3 ^rd^ file containing all records.

  • Closing by external files

    Hello there,
    we got a new problem with our InDesign CS5. Since some weeks, when we open external files (send by mail or from a portable device) and want to close them (only this window), the full program gets closed. No crash-report, nothing. If we used files which are new generated on this PC there is no problem and just the window gets closed. Since this week Acrobat does the same thing.
    We tired to kill all preferences and things but there is no way out. Nothing gonna help.
    We use InDesign CS5 7.0.4 and Acrobat 9 Pro 9.5.1 on a System with Windows 7 64 Bit.

    The Mac Pro is inherently a multi-User system, and protects each User's files with an extensive system of file permisions. The default is not to share.
    This might be a good place to start your reading on file permissions:
