External inspection

Hello all
I have this situation:
The company doesn't have its own laboratory, so they always subcontract the inspection services of the products they buy.
I have a inspection plan for goods receipts for the bought materials , and I created and external processing operation (for that I created a control key with "+"indicator in external processing) .
Is there anyway the system creates a purchase requisition for the service, similar to the external processing scenario in production orders?
What is the right way to model this process in the system?

Nope. I can only suggest looking at somthing like this
Setting up subcontract PO
And seeing if you can find a way to make the subcontracting process work for this. Maybe issue a dummy non-valuted material to the subcontracting order? You may need to post this in the material management forum instead of the QM forum. The issue is really realated more towards the purchase of a service.

                         1) Material sample will go to external testing (external vendor). :- on which basis that material will Gate-out.

You can use external inspection (inspection type 0130) in this case. Activate 0130 inspection type in material master as well @ opeartion level of Routing.
So moment you do GR of external operation you will get inspection lot of this GR (insp type 0130) in this case & you can record result against same.

Should i use a third party charger or the apple charger

Use a genuine Apple power adapter.
Third party chargers use inferior parts and often bear fraudulent markings from consumer product safety agencies. Using them can be hazardous to you, your MacBook, and other property due to the potential for fire, electric shock, or damage as a result of exceeding the MacBook's power supply tolerances.
It is very difficult to determine if a charger is an actual Apple product from an external inspection, and an internal inspection revealing its deficiencies destroys the adapter. If it's on eBay, it is very likely to be counterfeit.

Very slow internet over past few days

My internet has been fast and stable for a number of years, until Wednesday morning that is. I usually get about 13Mbps downstream and 900kbps upstream, but now it hovers around the 200k-350k mark downstream and 400-550k upstream.
I'm connected to the main socket, which in old style socket with the slot in the middle of the faceplate. I've tried multiple routers, including a new one, and wired/wireless: the results are the same. I've also tried a new filter. There's nothing else connected (and I have no Sky box).

My exchange does not report any errors at all. I conducted an external inspection of my nearest cabinet and all seems OK. I did a quiet line test and can hear no noise on the line.

IE02 exit

Hi abapers,
On T-Code IE02 i need to get the entered value for 'Usage indicator' (FLEET_USE) under the screen 'Vehicle Technology'.
I need this value for doing a check in exit 'EXIT_SAPMIEQ0_001', This exit is not having that field in its parameters.
For this i have to modify standard program MIEQ0F69 by adding a SET paramter or Export statement, then GET/Import this value in my exit...
Also I tried a field exit on the FLEET_USE field but to catch its value the user must validate it...so this not resolving my problem...Also no BADI found for this neither...
Is there any easier solution or another way to avoid modifying the standard include ?

My iPad is stuck in headphone mode and won't use it's own speaker was until just a few min ago any help please

UUp until just a few min ago the speaker on my iPad air was working just fine then it went into headphone mode how do I get it back to using is own speaker

It is possible that you may have some dust or lint stuck in the headphone jack opening. It may not be visible via external inspection. If you have a can of spray air - attempt to clean out the headphone jack (carefully) with the spray air. If you don't have a can of air - trying blowing sharply into the headphone jack to see if lint or dust comes out. Also try the other suggestions in this post for rebooting the iPhone and making sure that you do not have the phone muted.

Inspection lot for external service

Hi Gajesh/ Sujit/shyamal/ all
we are planning to use service master for external vendor's service, i have couple of questions
please share your experience, if anyone of you come across this kind of requirement
1. is it possible to create an inspection lot for external service?
2. we want to capture / validate the vendor's external service, weather it is accepted or not? sometime we need to enter quantitative value also
3. is there any setting or config for assign /create inspection lot for service master?
what I know is without material master we cannot create inspection lot but i don't know about service master.

2 business req. are as follows
1. vendror is performing periodic service, MM side external service order (service contract/PO)created, bsaed on thatPO vendors performing service.
service entry sheet they are capturing man hours and date of service.
business wants quality of service to be captured in QM inspectiion lot.
2. production order ---> routing -- operation ---> vendor & service PO number assigned external work --> now inspetion lot will be created for that material/production order.
how can we link service master, service entry sheet and inspection lot?
how to map for this req.?
again is't possible to create inspection lot for service master?(without material master)if your answer is yes, then where/how can we assign inspection type ? which inspection type?

Inspection Lot control GR from external Vendor and Vendor Consignment

Hi Everybody,
We have a material which is received in the plant from external vendor as well as from vendor consignments. The requirement is that when the material comes from external vendor and Inspectin Lots should be created and when it comes from vendor consignment(PO is created with item category K and GR will be done with mvt type 101 K) a lot should not be created.
Can we achieve this ? if yes, please tell me how ?

'External process-0130' Inspection in QM?

Hi Team,
Requesting your valuable help for below scenario.
Step 1: Receiving the material(M1) in GR stage from 'vendor1' - 01 inspection active with one operation(op10-Visual inspection) in Inspection plan .If material ok it should be sent to External process.
Step 2 : Sending received '(M1) material' to External processing to 'vendor2' through P.O
Step3: Recieving the 'processed material' M1 material and Inspection
As per SCN links, I under stood that '0130 inspection type' to be used.
Q1:Prefered tick mark for 0130 / 01 ?
Q2:Where 0130 insp.type should assigned? is it required to assign in any
Q3:If preferd tick put to one of 01/ 0130 inspection type-Automatic insp.lot for 2nd insp.type will not be created?

Hi Sai,
Nitin has correctly suggested the best standard SAP approach you should adopt. In case if only activating "01" is acceptable to business it will solve your case. It's easy to implement, maintain, error-free and scalable.
Paralelly (if at all its required..), you can explore further on the custom approach like below -
a) Activate insp type "01" and "0130" for the relevant materials. Do not flag any insp types as "PreferredInsTyp".
b) Create a custom table to maintain a combination like Material + Insp Type + Insp Plan. Example below -
M1 - 01 - IP01
M1 - 0103 - IP02
c) During Goods Receipt, user exit/BADI should if the PO is Subcontractor PO (Item Cat L) or not. If Subcontracting PO, then it should allocate the insp type 0130, else it should assign insp type "01" for all normal PO, or Sch Agr, etc.
d) It should first validate how many inspection plans for the concerned material is 'Active" for the usage "5". Now check form the Z-table if for the same material, Z-table has one active insp plan added. Then allocate the insp plan to the inspection lot. There can be a chance that there are more than one active insp plans for same usage available and in Z-table a plan is available which is no more active, then the program should not allocate any insp plans, and the inspection lot status should be "CRTD". Same is the case if there is no active inspection plan available and added in Z-table for the material.
e) In case if you wish to have one more round of check at "Vendor Level" on the selection of inspection plan, you can extend this Z-table with Vendor too!!. Then the Ztable will look like below -
M1 - 01 - V1 - IP01
M1 - 01 - V2 - IP01
M1 - 0130 - V1 - IP03
M2 - 0130 - V2 - IP04...
Please do not adopt a custom approach, just to try out fancy things as they are difficult to implement, complexity gets higher, lots of codings involved, lots of testing required and difficult to maintain in the long run. Moreover there should be a significant business benefit in it and everyone should be aligned to take a decision to go with such custom approach. These are just my thoughts!!
