  • ICal Group Calendar - Line command

Does anyone know how to create a group calendar other than through the wiki interface? I would think there is a line command as well.
I have created group calendars on several osx servers in the past. I have two 10.6.4 servers that seem to have an authorization or communication issue when creating the calendar through the wiki.
    Apache: *PROPFIND /principals/wikis/company/ HTTP/1.1" 500 201*
Ical err Failure: *twisted.internet.error.ConnectionRefusedError: Connection was refused by other side: 61: Connection refused*.
Accessing the group calendar through the wiki give in in browser error:
    quest URL:
    *Request Method:PROPFIND*
    *Status Code:500 Internal Server Error*
I thought I'll debug it further by creating a group calendar by command line. Does anyone know how to do that? Or any other suggestions where to continue?

Thanks for that, Jonathan, but it appears to have a problem: you apparently can't use the Address Panel if you fill in the Account URL field, and all the attendees I fill in to events aren't "real" they have little exclams before their name, instead of check marks.
It seems that the Address Panel only works with accounts that have "Automatically discover server address" checked, and each account for which you have that checked must have a different Username -- you can't use a group name.
I suppose you could set up dummy user names so you could access the groups somehow, AND have the Address Panel working properly...
It's too bad this stuff doesn't work better. I'll bet it doesn't get better before the next "kitty" release, 18-24 months from now...

  • Multi-line command problems

I am trying to add an motd banner to a configuration template in template center.  When I add it I get the following error on the import:
Template import Failed. Unable to parse the XML file. Please ensure that the XML file is complaint to the schema.
I went to the config manual and copied the multi-line command example exactly as shown and added it to my template:
    <MLTCMD> banner login "Welcome to
Cisco Prime LMS - you are using
    Multi-line commands" </MLTCMD>
I still get the import error.  I have never been able to get multi-line commands to work in any version of LMS.  Is this a known issue?  Is there a fix?
    -Jeff

The ability to import templates with multi-line support was not added until LMS 4.1.  You also have to use < and > instead of < and > as the MLTCMD tag is embedded into XML and not part of the XML itself.  Here's an example from the SCH template:

  • External OS Command SM49

    Hi All,
Is it possible to run External OS Command created in Tcode SM49 by File Adapter.
We are running SAP PI IBM OS i5 and need to call RPG program from File Adapter, if i create custom OS command in SM49 and able to execute the same command from File adapter then my problem has been fix.
In out BI environment we are doing the same but i never use it PI.
    With Regards
    Sunil

    Sunil,
You mentioned if i create custom OS command in SM49 and able to execute the same command from File adapter:
I dont see any difference in calling this script from the file adapter. Put all the commands in the script and you can call the script directly from the file adapter.  What ever you can achieve from sm49 you can achieve the same from file adapter also.  I didnot work this practically, but I dont see you should run into any issues.
    Regards,

  • Command line commands

Is there any class in the default java SDK for executing command line commands? I've been looking in the API but have been unsuccessful so far.
    Thanks.

when i execute the command, the process created goes for half a minute or so, but the java program just ends straight away.
is there any way to keep the java program open as long as the process is still running?

  • "Open with External Editor" command bug?

Seems to be a bug with "open with external editor" command. If I try it just after Aperture has been opened, it usually works (sometimes not). And then after a couple of photos being edited in photoshop, it sometimes stops working. When I try it, it simply gives me SBBOD for a few seconds (which it does when it's working as well), and then nothing happens. No new master created in Aperture, and nothing in Photoshop. If I restart the program, it usually takes care of the problem, and it will work again for a bit. Sometimes restarting the program doesn't even work, and I have to reboot. Very strange.
Any one else getting this? Any ideas?
    I'm using 1.1.1 and Photoshop CS2.
    powerbook G4 1.5 Ghz   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9700 (64MB VRAM), 80 GB ATA HD (5400rpm)

Anyone out there? No one else experiencig this "bug"?
    Help, please.

  • Edit with external editor command in iPhoto

I know there is a way to set IPhoto so you can use both iPhoto and PS Elements editors to edit photos.  I have seen the "*Edit with external editor*" command within the Edit header within iPhoto but can't figure out how to do this.  I found the below and tried it but it doesn't allow me to set two editors within Preferences.  What am I doing wrong?
+"If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and select "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds"+
    Thanks,
    Scott

FIRST set external editor to PSE
THEN change the selection back (NOT TWO selections - just this one) edit in main window leaving PSE as the external editor
once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window".
+You are working VERY hard to make this dificult - *it is simple*+
Set PSE as the external editor THEN select edit in main window as the default without changing PSE being the external editor - One selection - EDIT IN MAIL WINDOW
NOW double clicking will edit in iPhoto -- Right clicking (or control clicking) will give you a contextual menu allowing you to choose PSE as the editor

  • Command line command for combine jpeg files into a pdf file

I want to learn if we have any command line sentence to combine jpg files.
normally from the windows explorer window
i can select all jpg files and when i click on right button on the window they shows Combine supported files in acrobat and then i check if single file is selected and i clicked on combine files button.
and then i put name of the file and press the save button.
But i want to process this steps via command line commands.
Can you show any answer to me.

You don't say what version of Acrobat you are using, but I expect you could do it with Acrobat XI's Actions feature. Maybe even in 10.0. Since this is an enterprise deployment forum, I suggest you find a better forum and ask about Actions and Batch Processing.

  • HiQ doesn't execute scripts and command line commands

I am running HiQ pro 4.5 on Windows 2000 SP 2. Whenever I enter a command line command, e.g. "1+1", HiQ reports "no error reported" and doesn't execute the command. When I enter the same command again, HiQ tells me that a semicolon is missing.
When I try to execute a script, HiQ reports "Fatal Script error on line -1".
Anybody knows this behaviour and how to get HiQ running normally?

I do have the same problem.

  • Open a forms in line command with pll attached.

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to open one fmb by line command, but this fmb has a pll attached and i receive the error frm-18108, so
there is a somehow to open this forms with his pll, in line command....
if I try with one fmb without pll, he works out
    i´m using forms 6i and oracle 10g
    ifbld60.EXE c:\sa\fmb_work\wx010.fmbl userid=wl/wl@P10G
    thanks...

There are two ways for the Forms Runtime to find the attached PL/SQL Library.
First, the .pll file must be located in a directory with the exact same path used when the .pll is attached to the .fmb. For example, if you attach a library called "TESTING.pll" to your form in the Forms Builder and this TESTING.pll is located in C:\TESTING, then when you run your form on a client computer, you must have a C:\TESTING directory with the TESTING.pll file in this directory. When you attached your .pll, you would have received the message, +"Attached library name C:\TESTING\TESTING.pll contains a non-portable directory specification. Remove path?"+ You would have answered "No" to this alert.
Second (and preferred method), is to remove the non-portable directory specification by answering "Yes" to alert listed above. When you distribute your Forms executables to your client computer, you will need to ensure you deliver your library executable as well (.plx). For the Forms Runtime to find your TESTING.plx library, you will need to have the FORMS_PATH environment variable specified on each client computer and have the C:\TESTING directory listed in this FORMS_PATH variable, as well as the directory when the rest of your Forms executables (.fmx) are located. The FORMS_PATH can also be specified in the Windows Registry as Amatu Allah indicated when he/she asked:
Have u set the paths in registery correctly.?You can tell if you have a non-portable directory specification on your library by opening the property pallet for your attached library. If you have a non-portable directory specified, it will be listed in the PL/SQL Library Location property.

Is there any command/fuction that works like isql from SQLSERVER? I want to simulate a line command on the PL/SQL script.
    Thanks
    Carla

This means that you want to execute an OS command from within the PL/SQL procedure.
    Look at the following links:

  • There is a UNIX line command for Core audio RAM size addressing?

    I don't look for magician..
I know that there is terminal command for change setting about song backup count...
since Logic 8 the Project Backup has been fixed to 10...
I mentioned defaults in my first post. 'defaults' is the command line utility to set the maximum number of backups, and the key/value is clearly visible in the file, where I see no clearly identified key for the preference setting you seek.
so you can type 'man defaults' into terminal to read the manual for defaults.
Also in Logic 6 32bit application... and in Logic 7.2.3 (32bit application)
there is a setting that allow me to addressing 384Mb to the system core audio... and it is not a 64 bit apps.
    Memory addressing != Memory allocating
I'm looking for a Terminal command that can rewrite Logic preferences files... in the same way as made for change the Song Backups number...
Please stay focused I don't need theoretical explaination..
    I'm a Musician... I'm not a Developer...
BUT I Know.. for sure...I can adress 384Mb for core audio...
I need to bypass the automatic ram adressing only and strictly focused to achieve 384MB just for CORE AUDIO!!!
Right right right. I addressed that by typing:
you'd have insider info to use that utility for the intentions that you have in mind
If that preference exists, it is not public knowledge (to my knowledge). You would need to know a few things about the preference key/value to set or remove it.
So, yeah - my original post covered it all, to the best of my knowledge.

  • Execute external java command line in Java

But I can not get any result ( It does not create file test.svg) . the code is as follow
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("java -jar c:/XSLT/saxon7.jar ../webapps/wfscontroller/gml.xml ../webapps/wfscontroller/SVG.xsl > ../webapps/wfscontroller/test.svg");
If I execute "java -jar c:/XSLT/saxon7.jar ../webapps/wfscontroller/gml.xml ../webapps/wfscontroller/SVG.xsl > ../webapps/wfscontroller/test.svg" in DOS command. it works.
    Anybody knows what happened?
    Many thanks in advance.

The > is interpreted by the shell. When you use Runtime.exec, you don't go through the shell, you exec the executable directory. So when you exec that command, you're passing ">" as an argument to "java -jar c:/...", and chances are the main() method in that doesn't interpret ">".
So the upshot is you can't use ">", "|", "<", etc., that you can in a shell, with Runtime.exec().
Other options are to run a batch file which invokes that command line.
Or, you can get the standard output from the exec'ed process, and save it to a new file yourself.
