External mass mail to organization with a hidden email address

Hi there,
We are using an external mass mailer service to send our company newsletter to every employee in our organization. This causes a lot of stress on our 2010 Exchange box. To make things even more difficult, the mass mailer uses random mail servers, so we can't
pointpoint one external sender address.
Here's what we need to accomplish:
The newsletter should only be sent to a single account in the organization instead of mailing to hundreds of internal accounts. The newsletter needs to be distributed to every employee inside the Exchange organization with a hidden sender ("from").
I was searching high and low but couldn't find the ideal solution.
Any help is highly appreciated!

Hi Dennis,
I recommend you follow the steps below to achieve your goal:
Create a distribution group, add all employees in it. The distribution group has a primary SMTP address, you just need to send to this address, all members can receive emails.
About hiding sender, do you mean hiding sender's email address. If yes, I'm afraid this can't be achieved on Exchange server.

Mail (Mavericks) replies with the wrong email address

Currently using Mavericks, 10.9.5, on my MacBook Pro (15", early 2011 version), and the default Mail app.
I belong to a fair number of email discussion groups, most specifically with Yahoo! Groups, and I've set up a specific account and email address for use with that service. I also have currently setup several other email addresses within Mail, all seven of them are POP3 accounts.
Yahoo! requires me to send email to the group from the address that is registered, but Mail doesn't use the correct email address as the default when I reply to the posts despite the fact that the original message was sent to the correct account. Mail uses the email address from the account that's at the top of the Inbox listing for the address, not the one I want used. I usually find out that messages sent were on the incorrect address when I get the bounce back from Yahoo! indicating I sent from the wrong address. Digging through the sent items, setting the address correctly and resending fixes the original fault, but my iPhone (all versions of iOS 6, 7 and 8) replies correctly, but Mavericks Mail does not.
Has anyone else had this happen to them, and was the upgrade to Yosemite the fix? Or is it still broken there?

Open Mail preferences and select the Composing tab. Check the Send New Messages From box and see what is selected. Either select an account to send from as default or select Account of selected mailbox.
Also open the Accounts tab and check the outgoing server for the account. Be sure you have the correct SMTP server set for that account and check the box to use only that server for that account. Do the same for all accounts making sure you have the correct server for each account. If there is a problem with that server, you will get a pop up asking to select a different server in the event of a failure. Otherwise, if that box is not checked, it will just select another server if there is a problem with the one for that account. That could be your problem.
Send a test message to verify that. You can also reorder the mailboxes under the inbox by dragging each to the order you want. Depending on the settings in preferences, either the highlighted account will be the sending account or the default address you set in the list. Replies should always come from the address that was sent too.

I have also deleted the account entirely from my address book. I have have run repair permissions and also full defrag in iDefrag. Still the problem persists. Any suggestions?

I noticed you posted this problem quite a while ago and wondered if you managed to have it fixed in an alternative way then posting here. It is too bad no one has posted a solution here. I have a similar problem and if you have had yours solved since this occurance how you accomplished it may help me with mine. I am interested to know what you have done about yours.

Edit the SMTP server list. Add a new one for the business account. Put the correct password and information for it. Give it a description so you will know which server is which. Mke sure the correct server is highlighted in the account selected and check the box to use only that server for that account. Do that for the other account also.

I have a new email address which I have had verified, but when I try to update an app it asks for my password with the old email address and always comes back telling me it is an incorrect password.

All the limits you mention 100 e-mails at a time and 500 in a four hour time frame are limitations imposed by your mail provider, not Thunderbird. Thunderbird places no restrictions on the maximum number of recipients.
Have you tried turning your computer off for a few minutes?

It looked in Mail, which had 5 email accounts set up in it, and for some reason picked the only one that I no longer use because it is for a school that I no longer attend. How can I fix it so that it syncs with the correct email account for notes and calendar? There don't seem to be any settings available other than to check if you want to use the basic features. It also said during the set up that it was setting up 'find my mac' but if I look on the iCloud website there is nothing showing there for finding my mac.
At this point I feel like I wasted my money paying for this supposed upgrade. I got nothing for it but frustration. It even automatically set my security settings to allow only downloads from the Mac store so the first time I went to download something I had to stop what I was doing and go correct settings first. I feel like there should be a security setting to block downloads from the Mac store so I don't accidentally end up clicking the wrong thing and being charged.

iCloud isn't syncing them on your phone. You simply added the email account to your phone and enabled calendar and notes syncing with the email provider, and the calendar and notes appear in the calendar and notes apps on your phone. You can do this with Gmail, Yahoo and other IMAP account. iCloud email is just another IMAP account, but syncs notes with Apple's iCloud server just as Gmail syncs notes and calendars with Google's server.
iCloud didnt' set up a non-iCloud account on your Mac. When you check Mail in System Preferences>iCloud, it only creates an iCloud email account. You can also add other email accounts to your Mac by going to System Preferences>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and clicking on the "+" sign on the bottom of the left sidebar. If you added these other email accounts to your Mac before you upgraded to Mountain Lion, these were simply maintained on your Mac after you upgraded.

Hey Bumblebee, To each other, no-- would be like trying to call yourself on the same phone. To different persons on other devices??? Not sure you'll have to try, I'm guessing if both are online you may well dial up on both, (once had the same address on the my computer and iPod, both would ring when called, this stopped when I changed the iPod's address). If you change one of the iPod's e-mail address you should be fine. You'll have to do a little experimenting. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

How to find out which list is associated with specific incoming email address

I've a received a request today from a user asking me which list was setup with a specific incoming email address.
Is there a way to find out which list is associated with an email address?

OK after a bit of research I found a way to achieve this.
I simply looked up the email address in ADUC, then did a search in SP with the display name. I could locate the list and manually confirm it was configured with the incoming email address I was looking for.
I also found the below script on Stackoverflow, but got "The 'using' keyword is not supported in this version of the language." when I tried to run it. Any idea how to fix that? I'd like to have a script to link a library to an email address istead of the
manual approach described above.

I wanted to reset my password but then realized I think I set this up with my old email address what should I do?

I wanted to sign in and could not. I set up firefox with my old email address and can't remember my password. so I filled in the area for you to send me a reset password. That was hours ago. Depending on when you originally set up your Apple ID, you may have @mac.com, @me.com, and @icloud.com email addresses associated with your account, but all mail sent to those addresses should still come in to the same iCloud account (you can test this to make sure by sending yourself emails at those addresses). You can't do this, and you can't transfer purchases between accounts. There is no conflict about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match (the ID you've been using for iTunes) and using the other ID for iCloud.
