I have started a site for my daughter http://inspireuphotograghy.com It's an iweb site, http://web.mac.com/chuckusher/IWeb/Debbie/ with the domain name pointed at it.
It's just a starting point.
Anyway, I saved a power point file as a web site and loaded it onto the idisk. I put a link under presentations on the iweb site.
All seems well if I access the site through the iweb address, but if I use the .com address and try to access the power point file I get a "open default .htm file" message.

Macbook Pro/Mozilla Firefox --Page Loading Problems

I experience 'page loading' problems when going from one page to another. Sometimes the page takes a long time to load. Sometimes it times out and never does load.
Does anyone else with this combination of laptop and browser experience these problems? Any suggestions for overcoming this lag?

I know OS X used to have some problems with the way some routers do DNS. There was this topic a while ago:

For our Mac we had to set the router to send external IP addresses of a DNS system (either verizon's or something like OpenDNS which we use).
You could manually change the DNS settings on the Mac to see if that fixes the problem and then you could mac the change the settings at the router level if you like.

As a programming challenge I'm trying to get the dynamic, external IP address of my broadband connection.
route -n -> returns routing information including the 192.168.1.254 gateway
nslookup "gateway" returns:
server: 192.168.1.254

using nslookup api.home (or any of the others) returns:

I want the external address not the internal. Can anyone help? I don't want to just use an ip finder website to get the address.

Thx for your help. Yes, I can login (via web page) and find the hubs external IP address but wanted to do it from within a script and wondered if it was possible without having to go down that road (login credentials, accessing right page, parsing the output).
route -n and looking for "G" under flags returns the gateway(s) and this gives me 192.168.1.254 which is the IP of the homehub, not my machine, so I'm querying the right device.
The annoying thing is; this used to work. I was running under Ubuntu 10, upgrading to 12 and it doesn't anymore. U12 has dnsmasq server which provides local DNS caching. I thought maybe this was the problem (it was handling the query from within the network and not asking the hub for the info) so I switched it off.
I'm going to try and create a USB boot drive with Ubuntu 10 on it (if I can) and see if the script still works from within that.
Finally, I'm not an expert and am happy for any useful criticism and advice. Tnx guys

Can't send smartform to external mail address

Now, after creating some self-defined smartforms, we want to send its
PDF copy to
our external mail address. From this point, I had some try.
Reference to SAP Library, I make a testing program named 'YPDF_TEST'.
However, one exception always exists when running and error message id
is 'XS806' - means
"No delivery to &, invalid recipient address"
I filled the address with following fields.

I just can't understand the real reason why it doesn't work.

Hi,
You can follow a different approach. Send the output of the Smartform to the spool.
You have a Function Module to read the spool and convert it to PDF . Then there is one more function module to attach the PDF and send it as a mail.
You need to configure SMTP in Tcode : SCOT.
Search the forum with emailpdfattachment
You have umpteen postings available.

SAPConnect to Send Emails to external mail address

I am trying to send email from SAP to an external email address.
I've configured in SCOT the mail server and it respective port.
When I tried to send a test message, the message failed in the queue with the log:
"Cannot process message in SAP System - No ESMTP Plug-In Is Available for SAPconnect
Application Server Used by the Send Process:
S21TDI05
(Schedule Send Process on App.Server with Plug-In)
Upon checking the sap documentation, I encounter there's also a SMTP Service in "SMICM" as well. Inside there I can see that the SMTP setting is not activate and no values has been entered.
Are these 2 connected?
Advices are welcome.

This error message means that your SMTP plug-in is not active. Go to TR: SMICM -> GOTO -> SERVICES
Here you must see that the SMTP plug in is active.
This error usally due to bind error. The port wich had to be used is used by an other service.
Check if below mentioned parameters are set.

I think it is a bit too late you're 'finally experimenting' with Spry.
Spry has been deprecated from Adobe and is now been made Open Source on GIT - meaning Adobe will no longer officially support Spry tools. The next major release of DW will most probably get rid of Spry, for good.

jQuery is the way ahead. You may want to switch to jQuery - since anyway you've mentioned you're just 'experimenting' at the moment. That way, you're not spending time on something that is no longer being supported/ developed by their developers.

Please help external IP address and CCTV

Hi all,
I am really struggling to set up my router etc to try and get my Cctv camera to be able to be viewed over a 3G iphone app or another network. I can view the camera over my iphone, iPad etc as long as I am connected to my home network as soon as I lose that I can view the camera, have googled etc and it is saying need to port forward and set up external IP address, in all honesty I have a clue what this is, how to do and getting a little frustrated blindly typing things in, I have a home hub 5 please help some one.

Drag and drop an Address Book card onto a Pages address field

Whenever I "drag and drop" an Address Book card onto a Pages address field, it hangs for almost a minute before the address appears. I don't believe this is normal, does anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like you "upgraded" to Pages 5.
Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

IWeb 09 photo album loses hyperlinks to external pages

I have an album of images on my site and have hyperlinked the image caption text to open videos on external pages. This always worked fine in iWeb 08, in fact the images themselves on the main album page automatically became hyperlinked, which was cool. Upgraded to 09 and published (fortunately on a temporary site and not my live site), and now whether you click on the image or the text nothing happens. If you click on an enlarged image it just forwards to the next image.
Am using Transmit to upload, uploading to my site hosted on machighway, not mobileme.
Links work fine and open when I'm in iWeb. Tried dragging the index file to the browser and the links don't work, so obviously the problem is with iWeb 09. So my request to Apple--give us a "revert/undo" command that will take our imported docs and application back to the earlier version of software while you debug AFTER product launch. I really really hope this is fixed soon with a new version because my clients expect me to upgrade my site monthly and I'm dead in the water now until Apple fixes this.

I'm right there with you, and echo bjaquez's post. I've been frustrated by the situation. Been working (2) trials/options; create an album and try to hyperlink, and create a page and try to hyperlink. First, let me give some history.
I have about 140 photos of books to put on my site's Publications Page; plan is to hyperlink each book photo to the site where it can be purchased (external link). I reviewed the import options the Help menu provides for bringing all the photos into iWeb; one option open the Media Icon at the bottom tool bar. I found the photos in my iPhoto section, selected & imported. The issue here is it imports all photos, stacked on top of each other. When I attempt to spread them out and down the new page, iWeb will not let me scroll down the page any further, even when I've expanded the rows, columns, spacing, etc.
Option 2 was to prep the photos in iPhoto, then export to iWeb as a new page. That worked great, all photos carried over, etc.
Now, regardless of how I do it, when I open the Inspector, the Hyperlink "enable" is grayed out. It will not allow me to hyperlink the photos.
I'm definitely not a Mac guru, but pretty stoked how much I've learned this past year. I think the inability to hyperlink on an Album page makes sense in some weird way (maybe it's not weird and I've got it right, anyone can let me know) because I noticed once you click on a photo, it blows up in size so you can do a slide show or see the next photo. So, I'm thinking this would override a Hyperlink ability, or if it did Hyperlink, it would override the ability to blow up the size of the photo.
So, my next thought is to tackle this from creating a new page and dragging the photos over one by one and hyperlink.
Any feedback is helpful. Is it twisted to be frustrated, but intrigued at the same time as I feel like a sleuth trying to solve the crime

Port Forwarding on OSX 10.5 Server using Dynamic External IP Address

I have been able to get Port Forwarding to work properly on OSX Server by following the documentation and following discussion:

The problem however, is that you specify a static ip address on the natd.plist file.
I do not have a static ip address, and sometimes it changes. When this happens, of course all the port forwarding configuration will not work, and I need to replace the old external ip with the new external ip address.
This is an easy task to be accomplished, however having the internal network down just for the change of ip address is a hassle.
Is there any way the string entry can be updated with the ip address of the external interface (en0), instead of applying an ip address?

I would like to have the ip address (ex: 17.128.128.128) to be updated automatically from my interface ip address. So if my external ip address changes to 17.128.30.30, the natd.plist file will be automatically updated with correct values.

Or better yet, can it be accomplished as of now?
I know I can use IPNetRouterX (www.sustworks.com) and that will work just fine. Have tested using the trial and it works, however I do not want to spend $100 for the software either, and I bet there should be a way this can be done on OSX 10.5 Server.

IWeb External page Hyperlink within MobileMe/iDisk

For the last few years I have had my iWeb site set up on my MobileMe Home/iDisk, I note that iWeb files are kept at Home > Web > Sites which contains _gallery, Sites.rss and my home pages.
I have created a genealogical web site using Reunion v9.0b which is kept at MobileMe > Home > Sites. This site was linked to my iWeb pages via a Hyperlink Link To: An External Page. The URL has been http://homepage.mac.com/adrianskehan/Sites/skehan/index.htm which has worked OK. for the last few years.
The Problem is that the HomePage web application went offline on July 7, 2009. As of that date, members are unable to create new pages or edit pages you have already published.
While I can get a link to connect to any other file in the Reunion set it will not connect to the INDEX files???
Now that I have had to update the Reunion Files how do I link it back to my iWeb pages?

Making navigation to an external page in faces-config.xml

I want to make a navigation to an external page in faces-config.xml, or for example to an absolute URL like www.oracle.com. Is there a way to put a navigation like this in faces-config.xml? As I know the <to-view-id> tag only references a relative page address on the ViewController project.

I want to go to a page of another application (I've split my application into several applications) so I need to use absolute address. As the external page is part of my application, I want to see it in my faces-config in order to know the outgoing pages from my page and manage them when necessary.

Mail not sent to External email address -SOST looks OK

We've sent a report output to external email address.
When I checked in SOST it shows as sent.But the user did not receive it.

Check with your Basis admin - there could be many possible causes, including problems with the mail server on either side. Also try sending to another email - sometimes spam-filtering software filters are too strict on the receiving end.
This has nothing to do with ABAP IMHO.
