Good afternoon, my question is this, I mean, my son ray monitor screen from a laptop 12 "deep scratches that luckily did not break, I proceeded to remove the outer plastic polarizing filter which no longer display the colors, white is completely and put the foil to remove the colors look, right now the question is where do I get this special foil. thank you.

Just do I understand, you have deeply scratched the 12" display on an iBook.
You have dismantled the actual display?
I would buy a working used iBook G4 or G3 display and fit that instead.
A lot quicker than trying to dismantle the display and fix its independent components.

Swedish carriers sell their phones carrier locked and do not offer official unlocking. So unless you want to use it in Sweden with the original carrier you may as well sell it to someone who can use it there.
Edit - I tell a lie, one of the carriers 3 do offer unlocking but not the others.

Hooking up and removing external devices?

I am curious if there is a proper way to hook up my keyboard, bluetooth mighty mouse and external monitor AND remove them properly? I seem to have trouble with the monitor upon removal... the screen on the laptop will blank blue then come back up, but sometimes my dock and desktop remain blank - the computer still thinks the external monitor is hooked up.
Should I remove these items while the computer is alseep, should I shut down before removing, is there a way to "eject" items?

I didn't think you were supposed to unplug a monitor while the computer is switched on.. ? maybe it's different with the new connectors they use, but as far as I remember it was always a big no-no.
as for the rest of it.. the bluetooth mouse doesn't need to be removed (does it?), just turn it off if you want I guess. the keyboard you can unplug or reconnect whenever you want. and if it's a wireless one, then you can just switch it off if you like.

To what password are you referring? Do you mean your user account's admin password? Or do you mean the master password for File Vault or do you mean a Firmware Password?

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
     Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
     instructions in the dialog window that will appear.
     Or see Reset a Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Password and
     OS X Lion- Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
If you cannot do the above then try this:
1. Boot to Safe Mode by restarting and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys until a black screen with white type appears.
2. At the prompt, type the following commands pressing return after each command line:
     /sbin/fsck -yf
     If you do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message then repeat this command until
     you do. If after seven tries you still do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message,

The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when the new owner starts up the computer it will send him/her to the startup wizard where he/she can start a new user without reinstalling.
This last method does not actually change a password. It simply removes the user accounts and lets you create an initial admin account as if the computer were new out of the box.
How to reset the OS X password without a startup CD:
Reboot into Single-user Mode. Enter the following and press RETURN after each command line
   1. Type fsck -fy
   2. Type mount -uw /
   3. Type passwd <username>
I have never tried this method myself.

Hi! So, I'll get straight to the point. I'm running 10.6.8 on my mac, which is about 5 years old. I attempted to install OSX Mavericks last night, so I could update some of my software. Anyways, the computer restarts and opens up the installer for OSX Mavericks, but after about a minute of installing, it shows that the Mavericks install failed. The upgrade couldn't be started because the disk Macintosh HD is damaged and can't be repaired.
Could someone tell me (step by step) how to back up all of my data, erase the disk, and install again? I have an external HD by the way.

So, essentially you're saying that I need to download one of these programs to my external hd. But, how do I boot it from my mac if I can't get past the installation screen of Mavericks? I'm running on my other mac right now, if that helps. I've tried to use disk utility to repair, but it's greyed out. While setting up my new MAC the external hard drive was dropped and I have been told by an outside source they could not retrieve the files. It had 4 years of photos and videos on it. I remembered that I had downloaded some of the videos from the external hard drive (before it was broke) to Adobe Organizer 13 when I installed the Adobe 13 on my MACOS X 10.9.5. I tried to open the videos on the organizer which it shows the video but with a yellow ? and says missing file. Is there anyway I can open these videos?
Any input is greatly appreciated!! I am sick over losing the videos and had a little hope on Adobe Organizer until I was unable to open them. First format the drive to OS X Extended (journaled) with ownership set to be ignored:
Next drag your iPhoto library from your Pictures folder to the EHD. When the copying is complete launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and in the window that comes up select the library on the EHD:
Check the file path under the window to make sure the correct library has been selected.
Once you've confirmed that the EHD library is working properly and has all of your photos you can delete the library in your Pictures folder.

Very likely not, as the iPhoto's can be used for something else.
More like it took a copy, or it's referencing that spot on the drive in the editable files and most likely made a copy to create a new permanent export file.
Sample one picture and a iMovie file and see what happens.

The PowerBooks have an F-key that toggles mirrored and extended mode. My PB is loaned out right now but I think it was f7. The keycap has an icon on two overlapping rectangles, as I recall.

This is a script that was supplied to me on these forums it has been working well, but all the transferring of the files took place locally so a 'Move' command does it eactly what it says, however I now need to move it to an external drive, as a result it leaves trace of the original file.

I do not have the time to read through your whole script and give specific answers, but the general principle is fairly easy. You're moving with the Finder, so your move command is going to be of the form:
tell application "Finder"
move file xxxx to folder yyyy
end tell
For cross file system moves (which are as you point out actually duplications) just add a line after each move that sends the old file to the trash:
tell application "Finder"
move file xxxx to folder yyyy
delete file xxxx
end tell
the Finder has an empty trash command that you can use at the end of the script if you like.
One gotcha: because move has two different behaviors, the second code block will throw an error if you try to use if for a local move (it will move the file properly, then try to delete the file it moved, which is obviously no longer there). For clarity, I'd use duplicate rather than move for if you're working across file systems. That's what you're actually doing, and if you use the move command you may confuse yourself when you come back to look at the script a year down the road.

Tom is correct, there is no T-SQL command to add a publisher to Replication Monitor. However, the server from which you launch Replication Monitor will automatically be added to Replication Monitor if it is a Publisher. Also, you can add additional
Publishers using the Add Publisher dialog.

Problems adding and removing dual monitor

using FCE to do some light editing at work. continually need to flip between a single and dual monitor setup due to other things i need to do on a different computer. having problem with FCE not moving all windows back to the main monitor after removal of additional monitor. 'display' settings will not let me setup as being unattached since (and this is what the error says) that the other monitor is no longer attached. only happens w/ FCE. other programs seem to recognize that the monitor is no longer there, and moves all the windows back to the main monitor. what am I missing?

Have you tried closing the dual display option in *View>Video Out* before shutting down FCE?
