External service for customer..?

Can anybody give some inputs
For service order, we are getting a service order from customer. From our company we are sending man, materials and transports to customer sites to do the service.
How can we map into SAP, what are activities of MM ..

Hi,
If I understand ur question, Follow the answer
1. If ur sending material ie..selling material, Use material type FERT
2. If ur sending man head for Service , Use Material Type DIEN
3. If transport related to material (goods), you can use a separate condition type which add to Sales Order as fright cost
4.If man head service is to be recorded as transport cost, then u have to use MM with HR module like (Time & Material ) ie..Expense recording (PR05) then PRRW and PRFI.

Which ES(name) you are using ?
Does the ES you are trying to consume is at your service registry?
If yes try to test at WSNavigator before consuming it. Give any row data to customer ID field while testing.
Or yopu are using the SAP esworkplace service?

Billing for External Services to Customer

Hi All,
Please advice how to bill customer for External Services like civil work etc.
My client uses services from external companies so if they have contract with customer for that,after completing the work they want to bill it to customer ,pls advice.

If you are using projects, you can create an external or service activity depending upon whether you are entitling the vendor to perform some work or a service. Once you create and release the network activity, a purchase requisition is created, which then will be converted into a purchase order by your purchasing department. The purchase requisition/order commitment will appear on the network activity (project) and when the vendor sends you a goods receipt/invoice (depending on configuration), your project receives the cost. Then, depending on how you are billing your customer, you could incorporate these costs also into your customer billing.
If you need further explanation on billing, please write back with details about how you are billing your customers currently (if based on a project).

Generic Object Services for Custom Object Type

I would like some advice please. I am not an ABAP Developer but I would like to enable the generic object services for transaction PP01 for a custom object type.
I have searched for information, which suggests that the object needs to be published using the function module SWU_OBJECT_PUBLISH so that it is available in the Business Object Repository. If this is correct, please could someone tell me (in simple terms) how I can do this (with the assistance of an ABAP developer)?
My colleague did some debugging which seemed to suggest that in order for the generic object services to be available, the field OBJTYP needs to be populated in table T778O. Is this correct? If so, how should this be done?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Help setting up external service for email (MX record)

I am new to all of this so bear with me....
I am trying to set up mail using an external service...
Previously my website and email was hosted by justhost.com... i used muse to develop the website so i recently switched to business catalyst to host and im using domain forwarding to the new site hosted through the business catalyst. (not sure if this plays a role in my issue)
my email was (as i said) through justhost and i had it set up on my computer with outlook and on my phone. worked fine before...
when i switched to busines catalyst email went down so now im trying to set it up with the mx record. I have gotten it to work intermittantly but overall no success.
seems like im missing something simple???

However, my client in frustration for not getting mail on his phone and (I'm sure at this point) thinking that I don't know what the heck I am doing with his website call ipage.com.
They confirmed to him that the name servers are pointed at worldsecuresystems.com (the Business Catalyst server). My client told me that told him that he had to wait for the MX server to propgate. My client told me that they made no indcation that they did or would make any changes on the ipage.com side of things. Oddly my client started getting emails after about an hour. I check the new muse website I had built and the URL pointed at his old wordpress site. I was confused to say the least. I logged on the the ipage.com admin panel and the name servers where changed back to the ipage defult name servers.

i use CL_GOS_DOCUMENT_SERVICE in that
CREATE_ATTACHMENT method
but it is not attaching the files to my GOS menu

Extend standard web service for custom BO

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where I have created a custom BO with some custom fields and added its embedded component as a new tab on the Lead TI.
Now we want to integrate these custom fields to the standard lead web service to replicate these custom fields into the backend CRM system.
I tried for Process Extension Scenario but it only works for the fields added to the extended bo. Could you please suggest on how this could be achieved.

Hi Sumeet,
In your scenario if you have only add extension fields in your case use the below steps to achieve it.
1) Open Screen in HTML5 mode using admin user.
2) Go to Adapt -> Edit Master Layout.
3) Select the Tab and click on Plus sign and on top 1 ore sign beside the Input box.
4) Enter Your new tab name and click on sign and Apply.
5) Now Select the newly created Tab (Do not exit from the Adapt mode) under the section you have option to "Add Section" , "Add Field", "Add Mashups".
6) Now come out of the adapt mode and again go to the adapt mode and edit the Header and click "Add New Field" in header section of the screen .
7) After creating the New Field select "Save and Open" or "Field Definition" option to add those fields under respective Services.
8) Now go to your newly created Tab and drag and drop your custom fields from Header section to New tab.
9) Now download the updated web services and check if those fields available or not

Entering time sheet for external service employee

My scenario is,
I created a external service for my network in the project. PR has been created. I've converted the PR into PO(Service) and then i maintained a HR master and assign the PO details. But when i try to enter the time sheet for that employee i couldn't.Anyone can explain the process flow for this scenario please.

Once you create external service PO, the same should have been assigned to HR master. Try to create as group so that time entry can be done conveniently.
Check the below links. I guess, you are using CAT time entry transaction to create Service entry sheet. Use CATM transaction to create time entry.

Enterprise Services for Invoice Details

Hi Friends,
Can any one guide me to locate correct SAP Enterprise Services for Customer Invoice Details?
I found the following services on ES Workplace.

For this requirement how do we approach on ES workplace and how to configure this service.
How do I know the source Table and fields information related to that service.
Is there any e-learning or web log for step by step for any ECC related services?

I'm not sure if it's the right one that you're looking but you can check it as follows...
Using the URL that you've specified below (you'll see Software Component details), you'll also notice a where used link towards the top right hand side. Click on it, you'll start noticing namespace details.
Use TCode SPROXY in the ECC system & go to the same Software Component & namespace & locate the Enterprise Service / Service Interface in question. Double click on it & then you'll see tabs (external view, internal view etc.). The internal view shows the internal Abap import/export parameters used in the proxy. On the properties tab, if you double click on the provider class you can drill down to the implementing code to see how it's implemented.
There are some blogs & guides relating to navigating through the ES Workplace to find what you're looking for but a functional consultant in a specific area is in a better position to dictate whether the Enterprise Service is valid for a specific business function.

Material type DIEN is used for when you offer "SERVICE" to your customer.( The steps are (VA01,VF01,VF04,F-28), If u used HR module( you can used with sales order with t.codes are: CAT2,CATS_APPR_LITE,CAT7,PR05,PRRW,PRFI)
Service Master records(AC01)[ESM] is used when you procure "SERVICE" from your vendor.( Steps are: ME21N with Item Cat. "D" with Acc. ***. Cat. "K" or "C", ML81N,MIRO & F-53).
Note:Standard DIEN material type designed for Sales usage only , but you can use DIEN for Purchase also to avoid External Services Management.
Note-2: As Service is an intangible material,since services cannot be stored, a material master record of this material type does not contain inventory data or inventory management data. To map in SAP, when you procure service from ur vendor, we do maintain Service master and create purchase order to vendor mentioning Cost Object and Item Category (D). Service Master records(AC01)ESM is used when you procure "SERVICE" from your vendor.( Steps are: ME21N with Item Cat. "D" with Acc. ***. Cat. "K" or "C", ML81N, MIRO & F-53).

Ebflow: Problem defining an external service using WF_EXTSRV

I'm trying to define an external service for the Webflow to use. In transaction WF_EXTSRV I have to provide details of the service. One field requires the Logical System to be nominated. The help says that this entry must be in table TWPURLSVR. In our system this table is empty, and I cannot figure out in customising where to populate this table.
Anyone have any ideas about this?
Anyone also know what may be a better forum to post this message in?

Better forum to post it on is on the BPM & Workflow forum which can be found under SAP NetWeaver. I'm now experiencing the same problem as you. No entry in this table. But when I leave the field blank in WF_EXTSRV, I don't have any problems calling my service from the workflow.
If you already have an answer to your own querstion, could you let me know?

Hi Anthony,
Couple of things:
1) You may make manual entry in this table.
2) the necessary steps can be found in the documentation: SAP@Web Installation Guide, chapter "Post-Installation Activities".
3) from se80 go to utilities->settings->ITS choose the server where you want to publish or choose all available servers. (note if you dont see the ITS server list in the drop down -ITs may not be configured properly)

I tried with eclipse PDK plug-in to create and deploy. but no success. Any pointers for repository service implementation docs ?

Hi John,
there is no deep doc on RepServices. Primarily, search on the forums. Maybe Permissions on XML Forms resources is a good starting point for you?!
Additionally, to add custom properties (I think you think about configuration properties?!) you'll have to understand the config framework and it's file structure.
For this, have a look under src.config of you project created by the wizards; watch how they are deployed; and compare other configurations you can find within CM with their corresponding configuration files. That's the best way to get behind the secrets

My Client have Equipment which have huge no of motors of different capacity, they dont want to maintain as sub equipment or material.
How to do External service in this case...

U can create the service master for that proccessing .in which u have to define each service where what kind of work is maintain in that service den assign the number to dat service. against that sercvice number u will get PR .after den PO will be processed den service will get completed den u can use TC ML81N for confirmation of that service,
