External services with service specifications.

Can someone please explain the processes for service specifications stepwise wrt to the tcodes.

Hi
Further to clarify to what Mr Maheswaran had said  -
1. Service codes are created by MM consultant for each services.
2. You assign these services to your external operation. you also assign control key PM03 so that PR can be triggered from the order & then PO & service entry with respect to maint. order.
You can also do PR/PO independently without any reference to your maint. order with account assignment category F.
At the time of service entry (ML81N) you do it with reference to maint. order.

  • Using XI WebService in CAF as external service with Logical Destination?

    Hello,
I created a scenario WebService -> XI -> WebService in a PI7.1 system. I used the Web Service Wizard in order to generate a WSDL. If I test it for example in XMLSpy it works fine.
We then imported this WSDL into CAF as external service. That also works.
Now we have to map the CAF Service to a logical Destination. This has to be maintained in NWA. But here we need a URL to the WSDL. I cannot use the local WSDL Filed which I from that WebService Wizard.
Is there any generic URL were I can get the WSDL for the WebService which calls the XI Interface?
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Katharina
Edited by: Katharina Seiz on Oct 6, 2008 6:19 PM

Good Idea. I tried that. I added the WSDL to a Web Module and deployed it with the CAF ear module. It is now available via: http://vmw2469.wdf.sap.corp:50000/testxi/GLAccountPostingSync_Out_PI71.wsdl
If I test it directly in WSNavigator it works fine,  but if I map my CAF Service to the logical Destination which is also using that URL, I get the following error:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.query.exceptions.TechnicalException: Deserializing WSDL stream http://vmw2469.wdf.sap.corp:50000/testxi/GLAccountPostingSync_Out_PI71.wsdl failed
If I try to find the service via the function "Search by Logical Destination" I get the following error:
Invalid content type while requesting http://vmw2469.wdf.sap.corp:50000/testxi/GLAccountPostingSync_Out_PI71.wsdl. Expected Content-type: text/xml, received Content-type: content/unknown, used user to connect: most
Has someone any idea what the problem could be?

  • The Web Management Service service terminated with service-specific error %%-2147483640,

We've been able to successfully, automatically, deploy our MVC and WebApi to IIS7.5 on Win2008 R2, for some time now.  Just this week the MSDeploy stopped working.  The System event log shows this error when attempting to restart the Web Management
Service on the targeted Win200 R2 server:
The Web Management Service service terminated with service-specific  error %%-2147483640.
The Application log shows this error at the same exact time the above error occurs.
    IISWMSVC_STARTUP_UNABLE_TO_ACTIVATE_HWC
Failed to activate the Hostable Web Core (HWC). Web Management Service startup failed.  Please reference the Win32 error in this  event for further information.  Exception:System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007007F):  The
specified procedure could not be found. Process:WMSvc User=NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
The above error is preceded by this warning:
A listener channel for protocol 'http' in worker process '7164' serving application pool 'WMSvcAppPool' reported a listener channel  failure.  The data field contains the error number.
Which is preceded by this error:
Failed to find the RegisterModule entrypoint in the module DLL C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\webengine.dll.  The  data is the error.
We've attempted to reach the target server using https://ourservername:8172/MsDeploy.axd. The response is:
Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the  connection
Is this occurring because the port is blocked or because the Web Management Service is not running?  (The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog says the "Windows Firewall is off" and there are no entries in the firewall log (C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Firewall).
We've seen some posts that indicate the certificate may be the issue. Not sure how to actually tell if this is the case though. The CERT we have says it is valid thru 2029.

  • External service operation with PO associated with it.

    hi Gurus,
If a PR - PO is created with reference to external service operation of a maintenance order, then do system allow to delete this operation ? Is it standard SAP practice ?
I have observed in our case that, system is allowing external service operation to delete even though a PO is created with reference to the operation.  System only gives a confirmation prompt ( PO is associated with this operation ) , if we select yes then operation gets deleted.
Is it logical when a operation is deleted though a PO is created with ref to it ?
For a non stock item , system does not allow the component to be deleted if a PO is created .
    Kindly reply at the earliest.
    Thanks
    Maneesh

    Hi,
In standard :- System does not allow you to delete external operations & components when PO is there ..
I think in ur system for external operation they might have change the error message IW 707  to warning or no message ..
Check this in config under spro >pm>maintenance and service orders -->message control -->Here for IW -707 , make as Cat -E Error message ..
    Then try it up

  • PM Order with External Service PR Currency

When we requisition an External Service through the PM Order using control key PM03, the system automatically generates the PR for the selected external service.
The currency for this PR is set to the default currency automatically and we are unable to select the currency in case an external service is payable in foreign currency.
How do we overcome this problem of selecting the required currency in the service PR as the currency field is greyed (disabled)?

Refer [link|Service Purchase request with different Currency] for additional informations

  • External service with notification

    hi experts,
i am creating notification through maintenance plance , but in some cases customer give AMC so in that case how is the senerio for external service(i am not create order i want solution with out order ) , how can i create pr automatic of through notification, integrat service sheet with notification for further invoice to party
    thanks,
    utkarsh

    Hi Utkarsh,
SAP suggests two types of procurement process via Maintenance Plan.
    1. Standard process: Maint.Plan -> Maint.Order -> PR -> PO -> SES
    2. Accelerated process: a. Maint.Plan -> Maint.Order -> PR -> SES
                                        b. Maint.Plan -> PR -> SES
                                        c. Maint.Plan -> SES
you need to have appropriate Maintenance Plan Category(with defined number range in the system) while creating the maintenance plan.
As you said it is Annual Maintenance Contract with vendor/service provider, you can create a Frame work order for that and can post your SES against it whenever vendor perform maintenance service.
I guess you can make use of ME58 transaction for posting SES against FO, please check I am not quite sure about this.
Please let me know if it meets your requirement.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sudharsan

  • Joining two external services with CAF

    Hi,
I'm trying to join two external services in one. I need the input parameters of the first service and the output parameters of the second one and the relation between the two services is made by an ID that is common in both services (output of the first service, input of the second). The idea is to make a method that could read the output parameter of the first service and send it to the input parameter of the second service, in order to show the results of the second service. I have made a CAF project but I need extra coding in Java. Could anybody give me  a similar example or something that could guide me?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

    Hi Julius,
I have sent a mail to this mail id with a attached file -->
         'julius3419'
Please have a look at that and provide me some guidance.
It contains the following content :
I have two major doubts at this point:
When I publish my services using WSADMIN or from SOAMANAGER, I choose publish services and endpoints, so why do I have to manually create a service and the endopints for that in SOAMANAGER(SOAMANAGER -> business administration -> web service administration -> search service ).
When I am performing the configuration steps, in the attached .pdf,          (page 11 of pdf)we first create a service registry parameter SR_UDDI (do we have to compulsarily give a version number there), we use the Logical Port "LP_WORKPLACE ".  But after that step we proceed to create a Logical Port in LPCONFIG   I. Proxy Class: "CO_ESREGISTRY_WSSI"                                                                                II. Logical port: "LP_WORKPLACE". Include a Description ,            So are we using the Logical Port initially and then creating it ?

  • External services with limits

    Hi Sap gurus,
In the external services if I am going for Over all limit, contract limit
    & other limit process.
In the above combination,How the other limit will play the role?Pl explain with example.
    Regards
    Umapathy.M

    Hi,
"Other Limit" is free limit and does not relate to any outline agreement (unlike contract limit). Under this limit, you can enter services from any outline agreement and also services which have no OA.
    Cheers !

  • Ordering of External services with Contract

    Hi,
The below requirement is for one of our clients project.
Generally in their business, All External service contracts are created as Framework orders in  SAP. These Framework orders are attached to PM(Plant maintenance) work orders as of now for Ordering External services. 'Framework Order' field is present in Operations External tab of PM Work Order.
The Requirement is to link the above Framework orders to PS Network activities as well. I couldnt find a field 'Framework order' present in External tab of Network activity. How the link is possible?? Is it possible through standard config settings???
    Quick response is appreciated.
    Thankyou.
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Hello,
In the specific PM order goto "Additional Data" tab page and input the PS Network-Activity number.
This would associate the particular PM order the specifice PS Nework Activity.
    Thanks

  • How to resolve error 'The DPMRA service terminated with service-specific error Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted'

The DPMRA service terminated with service-specific error Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted..
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the agent but this does not resolve the issue

    Hi
Something has probably changed on the protected server side that affects the DPM agent. In some cases the DCOM configuration could change. Look at this blogpost and verify your DPMRA DCOM object.
    http://robertanddpm.blogspot.com/2010/08/dpm-ra-rights.html
If this doesn't do the trick try reinstall the agent.

    Hi
I am getting a DPMRA error on an Exchange 2013 Server.
    Event 7024, Service Control Manager
The DPMRA service terminated with the following service-specific error:

I think I have fixed the issue by uninstalling the DPM Agent and reinstalling it. It now  needs a restart (I will do this after hours)
Is there a better way of fixing an issue like this?

  • The Remote Desktop Management service terminated with the following service-specific error %%4294967295

Got this error after a reboot for the monthly MS hotfixes. After messing around too much, I finally found the problem and though that I would document it here since I have not found the solution anywhere I looked.
This is in a Remote Desktop setup of two RDCB using a SQL DB that is hosted on a third server. The Remote Desktop Management service would fail to start with the "The Remote Desktop Management service terminated with the following service-specific
error: %%4294967295" error because the SQL Server service hosting the database was offline. It had not automatically restarted after the same hotfixes. So I started the SQL server, then was able to get Remote Desktop Management to start on my RDCB without
    any delay.

  • Please help with error message invoking external service from BPEL

Yes, I'm new to Oracle SOA Suite and BPEL Process manager. I've searched the forums, OTN, and Google and have not found any description of this error message:
"oracle.fabric.common.FabricException: Number of SOAP body elements and parts do not match in operation: <operation-name>"
    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 and WebLogic/SOA 10.3.2.0.
The BPEL process was built completely using JDeveloper's graphical tools... I haven't done any raw editing of the BPEL files yet. What types of things might I possibly be doing wrong that would cause this error to occur? Any idea what two things the server is comparing and deciding that there's a mismatch? It doesn't look like it is even attempting to invoke the external service, but bailing out before that, thinking that it's going to send bad data. Below is a bit more detail.
Also, I loaded up the WSDL (same one that I gave to JDeveloper) into SOAPUI. Then I took the payload that SOA was about to send (see below) and pasted it into SOAPUI. SOAPUI didn't complain and the target web service accepted the message and produced a "success" response. It looks like the payload is correct, so I don't know why SOA is complaining.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Welcome to BPEL. Take a moment, and write "it's a namespace issue" on a sheet of paper. Post it near your monitor. It won't always be a namespace issue, but it's usually a good thing to suspect first! Is the namespace prefix ns1: defined somewhere? Does your XML that is being sent really match what the WSDL has for input to the UpsertEmp operation? The namespaces for each element level in the XML need to match, not just the lowest level.
When problems like this get really sticky, you can use TCP tunneling (obtunnel shell?) to capture what is really being sent to the server, and compare that to what is sent from SOAPUI. That's more useful if it's a subtle header problem, but you may get better error messages if you catch the BPEL message and send it using SOAPUI.
    Good Luck, Andy
