External Suppliers Cant Print an Equestionnaire

With 6.1, users who have an eQuestionnaire up in IE8 or IE9, cannot print the whole EQ using the IE print command. It only prints what is visible in the browser window pane.
6.0 didnt do this.
The only option they have is to zoom the page down so it fits in the window, but the EQ is so long that it then becomes too small to read.
Does anyone know of an IE Setting that might help them print it on multiple pages, like it worked before?
We have already turned in an SR for printing Activities in NPD, which does this same thing unless you open it in a popup, but we dont have the pop-up option for suppliers EQs.

Kelly, ok I tried this on our test Supplier Portal server, and it printed more than what is visible in the browser now, but still only printed one page.
Any more suggestions?

Acrobat 9.0 Cant print duplex

hi,
we cant print selfmade adobe-files in duplex modus. it is possible with 8.0 and 7.0 version but now we got the new version 9.0 and its now not possible. when we are get manuals or other pdf-files the duplex modus works correct but if we print an excel-sheet to pdf-printer and put some pages to the new pdf-file we cant print this in duplex modus. is there are workaround to fix this problem?

yes i mean the duplex function listed in the printer driver not at adobe PDF printer. We cant print our adobe PDF-Files in duplex Mode. Before we installed 9.0 it works fine. I describe what we want to do.
1. Print an Excel-Sheet with adobe PDF-printer --> then we get an PDF-File.
2. Print another Excel-Sheet with adobe PDF-printer --> then we get an PDF-File again.
3. Both PDF-Files have 1 pages.
4. Now i copy the page from PDF-File2 to PDF-File1 --> then PDF-File1 has 2 pages.
5. Now i print this PDF-File with our Network printer with duplex modus --> But it dont work.
If we download any PDF-File and print this with our network printer it works fine in duplex mode.
We did the same with version 8.0 and it works fine. Now in Version 9 we cant print at duplex mode (Not the PDF-Printer). So it was a problem with version 9.0.

Every so often I cant print to Appletalk printers

Hi there,
I am about 60 macs that I look after at my company.
Recently several users phone me up saying they cant print, and its always ones that are using Appletalk.
The only solution that I've found to work is to renew the DCHP lease and then to turn Appletalk Off and then back on. Then they print fine, and can last for hours or usually days without this happening again. Admittedly I haven't tried just turning Appletalk Off and On leaving the DCHP alone.
Just wondering if anyone else had the same issue?

I have the same issue and have solved it by using IP Printing instead of AppleTalk. Unfortunately this
introduced a new issue in that when we attempt to print from Photoshop the files are not interpreted and we print the binary file. Still looking for answers to this one as it's impacting about 40 Power Macs and Mac Pros.

The usual cause is having the trial of iWork '09. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.
FYI: the name of the program is Pages, no 'i', the suite is iWork.

Sorting in Supplier check printing

The client wants the report sorted by the check number.
Iam not able to sort it <?sort:Checknumber?>by using this command.

It could be the Check number is not in the same level as your loop.
may be you should use something like ./././././checknumber to navigate to that level where you have checknumber

Whoa! Sounds like you might have gotten hit by a virus. I have not heard of a message that you need to download AA9, particularly since AA9 has a hefty price with such a download. Was the download actually from Adobe or some unknown site? If the latter, I would suspect the worst (OK, I get paranoid at times). If it was AR9 (the reader), then it might be a more reasonable request, but the download should still be done from Adobe.com. AR9 can run with AA8 also, but there are hickups that occur that leads to Adobe's recommendation to not do a dual installation. That goes for AA8 and AA9 also. Typically AA8 is uninstalled with the AA9 installation.
Because of my paranoid view, I would suggest running a serious virus scan before doing anything else. I would not transfer anything to another machine or use a memory stick until you are sure things are clean. I virus would surely potentially cause such problems.
Feel free to ignore my ranting, but I am concerned about what happened as the download was done and such. Unless you are real sure about the "AA9", I would finish a virus scan, uninstall the AA9, and go back to AA8. You will need to be sure you uninstall, delete the Acrobat folders, use the MS Cleanup utility (mentioned several times in the forum), and reboot before the reinstall. If you are sure you had a clean AA9 download from Adobe and not some other place, then you might try it again. I would be tempted to go back to AA8.

Cant print from Word/Excel/Outlook to Onenote (Office 2010)

Have a weird problem. The problem started quite resently....for a lot of users in our domain!
As the title says I cant print from word/outlook/... to onenote.....the only thing i can print from is IE10 to onenote (all other printers work ofc pdf/physical and so on). But if someone has IE8 I doesn't work for them either...
I have the printer under "printers and fax" so its not "gone"....I have tried to repair Office 2010+reboot with no success. AND i have the XPS document Writer present/working aswell.
When i try to print i can see the "printing-icon" in the lower wright corner, so something is obviously "happening"....but if i put my marker there it only says "0 printing jobs for %username%"....and yes i'm currently sitting
in a domain, i'm admin at my computer to(Windows 7 Enterprise).
I'v tried almost everything i could find i terms of repairing and checking the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\Ski&cka till OneNote registry key (but that's for IE...and that's working correctly).
Now here's the fun part....if i run winword.exe as administrator (rightclick+Run as administrator) it works!
But that's not a solid workaround....
Anyone knows how to fix this? And as i'v explained...tried to repair several times....restarted services....check so XPS function is enabled and so on and so on...

According to your description, I selected the situations which your said above.
1. A lot of Domain account could print from is IE10 to Onenote, but IE 8 not.
2.When Domain account print to Onenote, but it hanged.
3. Word works well if runned as administrator.
From above, I think the printer setting was Ok, beacuse you could print something by using Onenote to physical printer.
As far as I know, OneNote stores a raster and a vector format for the printout images. It will first load the raster image (quicker to load) then quickly switch to vector image (hi res/sharper). The image you see for a split second is the raster
image and then vector format fails to render. I believe you did not lose any data, just that it fails to render due to a configuration issue.
OneNote uses .NET to render the vector format and I have seen cases where the installed .NET version or not installed .NET updates would be a problem. I recommend you first make sure you have
Win7 SP1 and Office and .NET updates that show up in Windows Update are all installed and retry after that.

If the issue exists, Please use process monitor to selcet the log when the issue occurs.

Send a PO from SRM in XML format to an external supplier using XI 3.0 , but the cuestion is whether
XI has and predefinied scenario for this task , if not ,what is the recomenndaion to implement??? ,
we need to develop all the interface??
the BBP_PO_SEND_XML is valid for this task?? or only for vendors???

If there is predifned scenarios, it will have only Repository objects (Mapping , Interfaces, Message Types etc). So I am not able to find the Target structure for this sceanrio. You can get PO message into XI. For this you can use existing interfaces etc.
Actually I am using SRM5.0. But I am usig deleivered content for R/3->XI->SUS.. So here I am sending PO from R/3 to SUS and External systems. Here for external systems I am sending as a xml file itself.
I am not able to find the same as yours in my imported content. But I have PurchaseOrderRequest ....some message here. SO you can make use of that to get the PO xml into XI (via Proxy/RFC). Then you need to do the mapping etc for the target side as per the requierement. You may need to do the target strcutre etc.

R/3 HTTP GET to external supplier - what are the options

Hello all
Our scenario is that we have to connect to an external supplier using HTTP GET to get our order responses in the return structure. I was wondering what the best/easiest way is to do this.
We cannot use the HTTP adapter since that only supports HTTP-POST. Additionally the RFC that lies behind it does not allow query strings in the definition, something we need to use.
we could make use of the HTTP_GET function module in the SFTP function group but how to do it then?
-we cannot create an abap proxy for this since the outbound WSDL contains invalid keywords (choice keyword not supported)
-we probably could use BPM that calls the HTTP_GET.
-we could write an ABAP that calls the HTTP_GET and puts the output into a directory where XI can pick it up.
-I also read that you could write a small java function that does the HTTP_GET . But i have no experience with this.
So what is the best option to accomplish this?

From SP15 you may use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes.
To evaluate adapter attributes in the message header of the XI message, set the Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes indicator.
     If you want missing message attributes to trigger an error message, set the Fail If Adapter-Specific Message Attributes Missing indicator. If the indicator is set and the header for adapter-specific message attributes or one of the set attributes is missing from the message, this leads to a system error (red flag).
If you do not set the indicator, and message attributes are missing, the adapter accesses information from the adapter configuration.
     If you want to use an HTTP destination or URL set by the mapping, set the URL or HTTP Destination indicator. (The indicator displayed depends on the Addressing Type you selected above). If you set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination set dynamically is called by HTTP.
If the message header does not contain the URL or the HTTP destination, and you have set the Fail If Adapter-Specific Message Attributes Missing indicator, the XI message is set to status System Error. If you do not set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination defined statically in the communication channel is used.
     If you want to use HTTP Header Fields, set the indicator and enter the fields in Field 1 to Field 6. The fields are embedded in the HTTP request under the names you enter here.
The technical names of the fields are HeaderFieldOne, .... HeaderFieldSix.
     If you want to use URL Parameters, set the indicator and enter the parameters in the fields Parameter 1 to Parameter 6. The parameters are embedded in the HTTP request under the names you enter here.
The technical names of the fields are URLParamOne, c, URLParamSix.

Mountain Lion Mail cant print or save multiple messages???

The question is not a question because I already know.....
Mountain Lion Mail obviously cant print or save multiple messages !
There are multiple threads about that, but I couldnt find any solution :
I want to export a full folder of mails (emlx) to single PDFs
and I want to have the Images displayed ! (Lion Mail could do that!)
saving as RTF just shows a link and not the image if it is just a linked image
and saving multiple mails doesnt work anyway. same for printing (and save as pdf)
did anybody run into this... maybe find another solution?
automator doesnt really help on this, too, and i dind find any tool.
word opens emlx files, but the image is displayed just as a 1x1cm thumb
that is really annoying !

I restarted the iMac and now it seems to allow this operation - so I consider this problem resolved for now.

External Supplier Payments in OLM

Hi All,
i have gone through the OLM user guide and understand that a transfer process should be developed to transfer the finance headers and lines for the external supplier payments to the finance modules.
i am unclear on the actual payments process and would like to know how the actual external payment(if paid in cheque) and the accounting is happening using the OLM/Finance modules?
Would be greatful if somebody could provide some insight on the same.

You can Either Use Quick Pay External Payment or Assignments External Payments window to make Pay ment s to the Employee Apart from your Payment Method that you have DEfined .
Make check/cheque payments to employees.
Make cash payments to employees from external sources or petty cash.
Complete the voiding of a payment to ensure that no one can reissue a payment once you have voided it.
The Methods that you can Use while makeing External Or Manula Payments
Check Payment from Same Bank Account: Your check/cheque for the manual payment is drawn on the same bank account that you used for the original payment.
Other Form of Payment :Your manual payment is not made by a check/cheque drawn on the same bank account that you used for the original payment.
Always select this method when you make manual payments in cash.
Cancel Payment: Your payment cannot be reissued.
Always select this method when you want to identify cancelled payments so that you can exclude them from reconciliation
If you enter from the Assignments window, you see the source type and its effective date. The source type is either PrePayments or QuickPay.
If you enter from the QuickPay window, you see only the QuickPay source types. The Effective Date does not display because it is the same date as the QuickPay run. The Type does not display either because it is, by default, QuickPay.
