External URL for a webform

Hello,
I am using Oracle BPM Webforms and I was wondering if it is possible to have an external URL for a webform so a user wouldn't have to login to workspace to kick of the process?

Its not possible.

How do I set the servers to use the external address rather than the internal one - i'm assuming it's similar to exchange's

• Create a relevant DNS entry in the mentioned zone to point to the RDS environment’s internal IP address
• Create a relevant DNS entry in external DNS to point to the firewall which is publishing RDS’s external IP address
• You can use the below mention script to change the FQDN of the RDP files provided by RD Web Access / RemoteApp and Desktop connection feed.

Apart from this, also check the settings under; IIS in RDWeb Server as per below mention path.
Expand the default Website >Pages >Application Settings >DefaultTSGateway >
Enter the external address (FQDN) of the RD Gateway in the Value Field.

Single URL for internal and external CRM access when using IFD

Hello,
At one of our client site I have setup IFD on CRM 2011. This IFD is behind TMG. My client is a big corporation therefore all CRM components including CRM, ADFS and SQL are on separate servers.
I have configured IFD using single url https://orgname.contoso.com Their IT staff wants to know why can't they use single URL for internal and external access where internal users are nto prompted for authentication
when logging on to the CRM server. I know you can do URL re-write in ADFS but they want to know the reason "why internal users can't use the same IFD URL and don't get prompted for their credentials". Text below is from their IT staff.

There are several approaches to your question. You need to set up both an internal and an external relying party trust. If you use the external URL, it will always direct you to the signin page, if you use the internal URL, it will resolve you single
sign on.
I've configured IFD for CRM multiple times, and this is how it works. CRM looks at the URL. If you use the external URL (org.domain.com), it will prompt for credentials. So what you are asking for, a single URL that works single sign on internally and prompts
externally really isn't possible.
What I recommend is:
1. make the external URL available internally
2. Configure all outlook clients against the external URL, that way you won't have to reconfigure when someone goes internal to external
3. Have users who are primarily internal use the internal URL for the web client, which will resolve single sign on
4. Have users who are primarily external use the external URL for the web client
For #1, since you only need to enter the credentials when you first configure CRM, it is in all effects single sign on.
One thing I haven't tried that may work is using IIS redirect internally to redirect the external URL to the internal URL. There is also a powershell script in the IFD guide that you can use to make the outlook client switch between the internal and external
URL's, but nothing that will give you a single URL that works as the internal relying party trust when internal and the external relying party trust when you are external.

Opening an external url in the same browser

I need to open an external URL (for instance,www.google.com) from my WDA application by 'linktoaction' or 'button' event and this should be happen in the same parent window and not as a external window.

Why use a linktoaction? Just use a linkToURL.

Why do I need ActiveSync External URL?

Hello, All!
We are starting migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.
We've already installed 3 Exchange 2013 Servers and configured them also.
The External IP for ActiveSync is bounded to F5 that moves user's request towards ISA that is located in our DMZ and ISA moves the request to Exchange Servers.
One problem that I'm facing now and it's: Do I need to configure External URL for ActiveSync on Exchange 2013?
As far as I know, that External URL of ActiveSync is being used for Autodiscover process only.
And after that the only URL that is used it's Internal one.
Am I right? Where I can find accurate information about External and Internal URL's usage?

As long as autodiscover is in Place active sync wont be needed in many cases.

How to create an External Alias for a Portal URL ?

Hi Gurus,
Can anybody tell me how to create an external alias for a portal link(URL). Actually, my problem is i want to send this Portal URL(link) thru' a SendMail step to the user so that when he clicks on it, it will take him to his UWL(Ofcourse after signing-in). As this URL length is > 80 char(101 char), i am not getting the full lenght URL in my Outlook mail. THough we are on ECC 6.0,Basis Rel 7.0, as per the OSS note 559234, we should have this length extended to 132 bytes. But, for some reason, its not happening. And,in the same OSS note, it was mentioned that we can use external aliases to achieve this(shortening the URL length).
Can anybody tell me how to achieve this, either thru' increasing the URL length or thru' ext. aliases.
Please reply asap.

Use Same URL for Internal and External Access for CRM 2015 IFD

I have setup a CRM2015 server for IFD access.
ADFS and CRM are on separate servers.
CRM server all roles
ADFS 2.0 server.
Using the internal URL I am able to access CRM without entering my details (as expected)
Using the external URL I am authenticated by ADFS as expected and can sign in.
We have an internal domain domain.local
We have an external domain domain.com (the certificate is for *.domain.com)
We have a DNS zone created internally for domain.com.
CRM URLs
internal : internalcrm.domain.com
External : externalcrm.domain.com
I would like all users to use the same link regardless of them being internal or external, but I would like so that any user who is on the domain is automatically logged in without entering their username and
password. What is the best way to do this?
I have tried creating a cname record on the internal domain.com zone pointing externalcrm.domain.com to internalcrm.domain.com but that didn't work, I still get the ADFS sign in page.

So fair warning, what you're asking for isn't really a supported deployment method of CRM.
That said, you should be able to do some DNS trickery internal to your network that points your "crm.domain.com" to "crm.domain.local" and then hopefully CRM will treat the connection as if it came from an internal network.
Otherwise, you're likely going to have to accept that everyone gets the ADFS login page internal and external to your network.

Use Web API url for loading an external image in a report

I am trying to host an image in a report, which is coming out of a Web API. I am able access the image through a URL in a browser:

Can anyone please help me how to include this in a report ? I have tried to include this as an external image with the URL embedded as a string like:

NOTE: the output of the Web API is an image of MIME type PNG.

To add an external image
In report design view, on the Insert tab, click Image.
On the design surface, click and then drag a box to the desired size of the image.
On the General tab of the Image Properties dialog box, type a name in the

Changing Internal URL's to match External URL's for .local support ending.. Issue?

Our AD domain is a .local domain.. We are renewing our cert and want to ditch the .local names in the cert since they are
not going to be supported in a year..
We got a new cert without the local server names which include the .local..
I then changed all the internal url's to match the external url's in Exchange 2010 (OWA, ECP, Active-Sync, Autodiscover, OAB)..
However, now all our existing Outlook clients are receiving cert errors.. If we blow away their profile and recreate it they
work fine.. It appears the clients are using the old SCP name until they are reconfigured and then they use the new one..
Did I miss a step somewhere?

OAB
EWS
ECP
OWA
EAS
and there is no more .local anywhere in the URL config?

I wonder that do viewlifetime count and viewrecents apply for the external URL from the crawler?
I saw it does work for local SharePoint URL but not too sure for the external URL.
And in that case, is it possible to sort the search result by viewlifetime/viewrecent for both Local SharePoint Sites and External Site from crawler?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to use viewliftime and viewrecent property when crawing external URL.
Per my knowleage, the viewlifetime and viewrecent property does not apply for external URL from crawling.
In my environment, I can edit the refinement panel in search center page to display viewlifetime and viewrecent when I crawl SharePoint Sites.
However, when I crawl external site, in the search center page, I cannot get any information about the result items.

The example I'm speaking of is the lighbox here: http://www.katiescafe.com/home.html -- this is a placed bitmap graphic that when clicked brings up a Lighbox Widget with an embedded YouTube video. Instead of embedding the video you could perhaps embed an iFrame with the URL you're looking to play within the lighbox widget? Easiest way to try this out would be to download the example embed lightbox widget from the Muse Widget gallery, here: http://muse.adobe.com/widget/video-lightbox-embed-widget-ricks. I am not certian how your iFrame will behave with your specfic URL, but you can give this a try. Sorry if you are meaning something different than I'm assuming here.

We're invoking the BPEL endpoint from a .NET app using the 'endpoint location' but seemed to be forced to use the embedded version number. For instance we have to say 'http://<server>:<port>/orabpel/<domain>/<process>/1.0' and I can't seem to get rid of the '1.0'. This contrasts to the WSDL location where I can use a browser and remove the version number to get the current default.
Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to avoid embedding the version in the endpoint.

The admins applied a patch to my version of the OracleAS 10g Version 9.0.4. and now I able to register a provider with the same URL but different Provider Name. I added My Yahoo Web Clipping from the Portlet Staging Area. That works fine but when I click on the check mail link in the Web Clipping Studio it gives me the following error. I have tried several times and I get the same error....
