ExternalInterface made available offline

I am developing a Flash application that will be made available for both online and offline (via DVD).
Opening the HTML through the web presents no issues. However, if the HTML file is opened locally, Flash Player security stops the application from communicating with local HTML files unless the Flash Global Security Settings is set.
How can I allow the Flash application to run properly locally without setting the Security Settings of the FP.

Any help?

  • Websites available offline

I am trying to read a website (and some sites linked to it) while offline.
I know I can do it with IE by making a bookmark "available offline" and can even set how many "layers" of pages linked to it will be available offline, but I can't find a way to do it either with Safari or Firefox. Can somebody help me?
    Thanks

Thanks Dominic, we are aware of this. We made a post about this a while back: http://blogs.adobe.com/psirt/2010/09/alert-adobe-reader-upgrade-email-spamphishing-scam.ht ml. Unfortunately, we try but there is only so much that we can do to stop this spam.

  • Why some pages are not available offline in Safari reading list?

From time to time I experience surprises that some web pages are not available offline in reading list of Safari - link is stored, but content - no.
I was thinking that I was closing Safari too fast before pages downloaded.
But I rechecked - I gave safari enough time and it still not downloaded.
When internet connection is available pages are readable, but not in offline.
    And related to issue:
Should I open Safari to allow to download page, when I add page to reading list from other applications by selecting "Add to reading list"?

YEs, it's totally frustrating... I'll never again just go along with an upgrade. After upgrading to IOS8 the reading list feature no longer works.
I even tried the factory reset, clearing out everything and making my iPad 2 like it was originally. And I didn't restore from backup either, afraid whatever bug it is would come back. I even installed iCab Mobile, and Readability... nothing works!
I Really, really, regret upgrading. I want my fully functioning IOS7 back!!
IS there any way to get IOS7 back, 'coz this IOS8 is for the birds?!

  • Is there any chance that FM reception gets made available on the next iPhone model?

    Hi,
I did buy an iPhone 3G then upgraded iPhone 4 but always felt that Apple's devices missed a very useful function (and hoped that it would eventually be made available), FM reception! Now I have that cool iPhone and yet I have to have my iPhone to listen to my MP3s and a FM radio to be able to listen to the gym FM broadcasting or listen to my favorite FM station which doesn't broadcast on the internet! And I definitely don't see myself forking away a hundred on an iPod Nano just because of its FM receiver!!!
Is there a hardware limitation preventing iPhone 4 from receiving FM broadcasting?
Is there any chance that FM reception gets made available on the next iPhone model?
Please give your iPhone customer FM reception!!! PLEASE!!!!!!

We're all just fellow users here and have no idea what Apple might have in mind for future iPhone versions. You can offer your suggestion to Apple via their feedback page, if you wish:

  • Cannot find any "available offline" buttons

Hey there,  How can I make songs availble offline? I've been searching forums for a way to save music to offline mode, but they all say to go to the playlist or song and click the "available offline" button. I can't find this button. I've also tried clicking the triple dots button, and there is nothing about "offline" in there either. I can "save" a song, and I can add a song to a playlist, but when I go into My Music, there is still no offline button.

Yes you can download=offline as long as your are using the downloaded desktop app, the app is the same for desktops and laptops.

  • Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting?

Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting? We are not interested in migrating the CDR data to v6 because of the concerns it introduces to the upgrade process. Is it possible to get the raw data and somehow serve it from a different machine? (knowing it would be 'old' data that stops as of a certain date). If so, what would be the complexity involved in doing so?
It seems like the CDR data lives within MSSQL and the reporting interface is within the web server portion of the Call Manager... that's as far as we've dug so far.

    Hi
It is absolutely possible to get the data - anyone you have in your org with basic SQL skills can move the data off to a standalone SQL server. This could be done most simply by backing up and restoring the DB using SQL Enterprise Manager.
Moving the CAR/ART reporting tool would be more difficult... if you do actually use that for reporting (most people find it doesn't do what they need and don't use it for anything but basic troubleshooting, and get a third party package) then the best option may be to keep your publisher (possibly assigning it a new IP) and leave it running for as long as you need reporting.
You would then need a new server to run your upgraded V6 CCM; you may find you need this anyway.
    Regards
    Aaron

Is there anything like this for a Mac?

Yes, but they aren't integrated into the OS. You will have to set them up yourself. Here is a list of (mostly) freeware programs: http://osx.iusethis.com/search?q=rsync
MacOS X does have some scripting support for syncing folders. You can download a pre-build script: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/automator/syncfoldersaction.html
or hack it up yourself: http://sites.google.com/site/andreatagliasacchi/blog/osxautomaticsyncwithfoldera ctions
There are also some commercial solutions: http://www.qdea.com/pages/pages-syncx/syncx1.html

  • The Crimson Field, Episode 2 Never Made Available on-demand

The PBS series, "The Crimson Field", episode 2, was never made available on-demand; only episodes 1 and 3 have been available.  Also, it has taken over a week for each of these episodes to be uploaded. Please make episode 2 available and make episodes available the day after the realtime broadcast.

VCR is looking better and better....
All - Apologies again. Episode 3 is now currently available. It was deleted and redelivered to start today.
PBS delivered Episode 2 again but the program came through to us with errors (again). PBS will need to redeliver Episode 2 to us. That is currently expected to occur later today.
We continue to work with PBS (and all of our On Demand content providers) to review these issues and ideally get everything straightened out quickly in regards to this program.
Apologies again and thanks again for your continued patience.
