Extra Amf hit happening for an AMFService call

Hello,
With using RemoteObject in Flex 4.5, I've noticed that there's an extra initial hit for every AMFService call that's made. The return result is a simply a "5". With some research I've discovered it is ithis:

My application has a lot of amf services and this to me is extra unnecessary burden on my webserver. Does anyone know a way of how I can turn this off in flex? Or perhaps a workaround so this doesn't happen?

Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts? If so:
1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane. This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.

It used to work correctly.
For example:
I burnt a photo file of 25 pictures from my iphoto collection.
When I went to the store to print them, the computer indicated there were 155 photos on it.
All were cropped versions of my 25 pictures.
Weird.
Then when I only burnt 6 pictures today onto a cd, I took the disc to a Print Shop.
Sure enough, the disc had other data and files associated with photos on it.
Yes, my 6 were on it, but the Print Shop had to spend extra time searching for them.

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

I am using Iphone 5. Since the last 3 weeks the phones has been acting weird. on dialling a call it get hung on disconnecting it stays on the call ending screen only. this happens for atleast 5 to 7 minutes and then it gets to normal

I have taken the phone to the service outles but the best they did was to reboot the phone it works fine for a day or two but again the same issue.

I'm glad to hear that they replaced your phone. Any experience I have had with Apple customer service and/or Genius bar has been extremely positive. While I have had positive outcomes from trouble with other phones in the past, they are not as quick and friendly. I had a Motorola phone and a Samsung phone go bad several years ago and warranty work through AT&T required that I wait for a replacement unit and then mail back the original unit to keep from being charged for the device. This usually meant almost a week without a phone. Nice to walk into Apple and walk out with a replacement device. Enjoy your phone.

Billing hits me for a payment a few days earlier e...

I love not being able to call or reach a person concerning issues I may have... NOT! It took me several minutes to decide where I was to post a comment, and then still am not sure this is where I should be. why does billing hit me for payment a few days earier each month? Why shouldn't it be on the same day every month? Soon I will have paid an extra month. Not sure I'm liking this maneuver or policy, and still think that we should be abel to call someone.

Error 'No valid source context supplied' for getEntity / getEntitySet call

Hi All
we have configured our ECC system with IW_BEP and Gateway as standalone system. We have developed the Gateway Services using SEGW in backend ECC system and have registered these services on Gateway system.
However when we are executing getEntity or getEntitySet methods in Browser or Gateway Client, the call is failing with error message 'No valid source context supplied.'
I checked the error log for this issue and it says Deserialization of XML failed via transformation ''. Can you guys suggest what could be the issue with this error? Is this due to in-correct configuration? In our Gateway system, we have created System-Alias for ECC system with both check-boxes for Local GW & For Local App as unticked. The RFC destination underlying this System alias is working fine.
Please help me on this.

Can u try checking why its failing in method /IWBEP/CL_MGW_REMOTE_HANDLER-->REQUEST_PROCESS ?
Only way is to debug Deepak. Since error is not specific we nned to debug in these kind of cases and try to know y its failing. This might help and we may get some info which will help fixing things.
This problem is only happening for this particular service ? or its happening for all the services ?
Check this first. If its happening for rest of the services then problem is something else with the GW/BE components only. If not then its service specific.
Can u try regenerating objects again and check ?

CoCreateInstance returns 0x8007007e (Module could not be found) for the first call only at system startup on Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2

I'm experiencing a problem with CoCreateInstance, where it returns error 0x8007007e.
The code is something like this:

The problems occurs only on a single machine having Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2 installed (it works fine on other machines / OS versions). It happens only during the system startup (this is a Windows Service) and only for the first call of the CoCreateInstance.
The second call always succeeds.
The problem does not occurr when starting the service manually from Services.
I did some investigation using Process Monitor and found that the HKCR\CLSID\[CLSID of MyClass]\LocalServer32!LocalServer32 registry value is accessed before the failure. The registry value exists - it is added by the Windows Installer during
installation.
If I remove the registry value then the CoCreateInstance always succeeds.
I've been trying to lookup for some documentation on HKCR\CLSID\...\LocalServer32!LocalServer32 but haven't found anything useful other than it's a "Windows Installer Entrypoint". I assume that the Windows Installer does some integrity checks when
calling CoCreateInstance for such class and this fails for some reason but currently I fail to find the reason.
Can anyone help finding out what's the root cause of the 0x8007007e error here, please? Any help or tip is much appreciated.

Urgent complaint against the company for the game (Call of War 2)

I want to lodge a complaint against the company for the game Call of War 2 where they were paid large sums of money to buy gold from within the game , and the problem is that the game does not work properly in this talk to my complaint on behalf of a lot of people affected by this game

I am not the only one suffering from this problem , but all the players in the game and what they are Arabs and our own website in English , they do not know how to make a complaint to you

I was wondering if anybody out there could send me some code for a simple graphical hit counter for a webpage. All the sites that I've visited are garbage and of no use to me. Please help me.

Not as easy as you'd imagine with applets. You need some way to store the hits, usually through a file on the server. That's not gonna happen in a hurry for 2 reasons -
- Applets can't read/write files
- Your web server usually won't let you run programs on their machine (ie, programs that listen for socket connections from applets, then load/read/write/close a file).
In short, no, there is no simple java solution (that I know of).

Skype Windows client hangs for the first call - co...

Hi,
Skype on my Windows 8.1 (depending on its mood) hangs for the first call. It will keep ringing and ringing till it times out, during that time I am not able to hang up the call as well, the red hang up button doesnt work and we have to let the call go on till it drops on its own. Then on the second try it connects perfectly fine. This happens most of the times, there are only a few days where it connects on the first try otherwise its always the 2nd time.
Please let me know what could be the possible solution for this one?

Have you tried connecting it to your computer and restoring the iPod via iTunes?
If iTunes does not see the iPod try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restoring the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Avoiding request scope bean clashes for task flow calls

Hi,
I have two task flows, Tf1 calls Tf2 using a task flow call activity. The structures of the task flows are as follows:
Tf1
Managed Bean: TfBean, request scope
    class Tf1Bean
      has property goTf2Button
View: View1
    Button bound to #{TfBean.goTf2Button}
      Action -> task flow call to Tf2
Tf2
Managed Bean: TfBean, request scope
    class Tf2Bean
      has property testButton
View: View2
    Button bound to #{TfBean.testButton}
As you can see both have a request scope bean called TfBean but these are different classes in each. The bean classes have different properties for binding the components on the two pages.
When I click the button in View1 to navigate I get an error telling me that class Tf1Bean does not have the property testButton. Clearly Tf2Bean is not being instantiated as TfBean already exists for the request.
I'm guessing this is expected behaviour and it seems logical.
My question however is what would be good standards or practices to avoid this?
One way would be a naming convention, however what if I am consuming Tf2 from a library? In this case it would ideally work as a black box and I should not be concerned about it's implementation, specifically names chosen for internal managed beans. Even if it was not a problem initially, the developer of the task flow could add or change the name of a request scope bean introducing a conflict at a later stage.

What I think is happening, please correct me if I'm wrong...
Running Tf1, page View1 is displayed.
Clicking the button on View1 initiates a request and an instance of Tf1Bean is instantiated for the managed bean named TfBean.
During the request navigation occurs to Tf2 and hence page View2.
View2 needs a property in TfBean called testButton.
There is already a managed bean instantiated for this request called TfBean, however this is of class Tf1Bean and does not have the property.
I have a simple workspace showing this if you want me to send it to you. I am using 11.1.2.4 by the way.

Receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls

For the past several weeks I have been receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls on my iOS devices that were never actually placed by the other party.
I talk to this other person using FaceTime on a regular basis, but ..
my iOS devices or my Mac never give me an indication on an incoming call
the other person never actually places a call at that time
I usually find out a few minutes later when checking my iPhone that there was a missed FaceTime Audio call (always Audio calls). I iMessage the person back and get told they never tried calling at that specific time.
By now I advised them to change their iCloud password ('cause I'm paranoid), which they did, but it still keeps happening.
Is this some kind of glitch with FaceTime/iOS? Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
All my devices run the latest software updates <iOS 8.1.3(12B466) on an iPhone 5s>.

I am having this same issue. I have noticed that the "missed facetime audio" occurs at the same time that I receive any regular cell call.
