Extra backslashes added in email url

Hi,
In a workflow, when I add a URL as an email link like this:
=4&ListId={986A5417-719C-4003-A6CA-1004BFC272DB}&ID
I get this when I save, or change the font of the link text:
=4&ListId=\{986A5417-719C-4003-A6CA-1004BFC272DB\}&ID
then this:
=4&ListId=\\{986A5417-719C-4003-A6CA-1004BFC272DB\\}&ID
then this:
=4&ListId=\\\{986A5417-719C-4003-A6CA-1004BFC272DB\\\}&ID
then this:
=4&ListId=\\\\{986A5417-719C-4003-A6CA-1004BFC272DB\\\\}&ID
and so on.
These extra backslashes just 'appear' and the email link fails.
It's a bit quantum, the backslashes only appear when I view the link string, but I can imagine they are there, even when I can't see them.
Any suggestions?

The solution proposed works just fine, except my email workflow was once removed from the main list because I had to use another list to format a group field to make it work for the email send. I retrieved the original list item URL
using workflow context as suggested, and passed this along as a string via a separate list, then used the string as the link, and this worked. SP no longer gets confused and thinks it has to add a back slash as an escape character to partner curly
brackets every time I open the link in designer, because they have been eliminated.
So I am a very happy person.

You can't change your Apple ID or primary email address, if it was your primary email address you messed up, you could always create an alias with the correct spelling.

Adding an extra seat to one email address

The doc does not mention a separator for the email addresses because we only support one email address per subscription. I have logged a task for our next release to look at expanding it and allowing multiple.

Random letters added to my url - any ideas?

Hi Guys
On this particular site we started seeing funny random letters and numbers added to our urls - we did not touch these pages in quite a while and it only started about a week ago. Even if you change the url in "SEO" etc... it automatically adds it.
Any ideas?

Support says it might be one of our scripts that "broke" -- but sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. Again, we have not touched code on this page for a loooong time.

Hey Casper,
There's some sort of conflict with a content holder you have placed within the page. When you remove it the url restores back to normal.
I would look into this script in the "add this" content holder which most likely is affecting the output of the url.

Extra backslash

Hello,
I am successfully using a PrintStream to open and write a file. Using the Properties class store() method I write to the file successfully.
The thing that is not successful is that one of the key values being written contains the name of the file I create, it is coming out as: C\:\\myprog\\myprog_data\\filename.ini. I use the File.getAbsolutePath() method to get the String to input as the key value (using setProperty() method). Why are there extra backslashes? How can I get rid of them?

If you want the property value to be
C:\x\y
then the file will have
C:\\x\\y
because \ is an escape character for the load() method.
When you use load() to read the file, the property value will be
C:\x\y.
So what you see is in fact correct.

When adding an email account my ipone will not accept my password

I am having trouble adding an email account to my phone. I had to get a new one and restore it to the last backup. However it will not take my password which i know is correct because I can sign in via the internet. Is there a trick or someway to solve this?

Which email provider are you using? If it's google, make sure you don't have 2-step verification set on your account.

Extra days added after iSync

After years of using a Palm and Palm desktop as a diary I thought I would give iCal and my Sony Erricson W715 a try. (I had to get a plug-in to enable my phone to be used with iSync)
I prepared a iCal calendar for the next 3 months and then using iSync copied it to my phone. It all looked good but then I noticed that on the phone some 2 or 3 day timed repeated events had an extra day added to them. It all still looks correct on iCal.
There is not much point of continuing with this if it going to be inaccurate. I might as well just stick with the Palm.
Can anyone suggest what went wrong and if it can be put right?

It's most likely a Daylight Savings/Time Zone issue.
Sony Ericsson phones do not handle the changeover from British Summer Time to Greenwich Mean Time very well at all.
Events that occur after the next time the BST changes (i.e. after 31st October 2010) are likely to have an extra hour added to them, meaning they go over into the next day on the phone.
Unfortunately, there's no workaround for this. It's a bug which affects all Sony Ericsson phones and has gone on forever, despite Sony Ericsson having been notified of it on many occasions.
If you sync the phone again, after 31st October, all events will be ok again, until 27th March 2011, when events after that date will be out by one hour again.

It seems to be possible to give the Printer any favourite Email adress(for example my own email andress)?
Is this right?
Im ascing this because i'm searching for a printer who is able to print all emails (with pop3?) wich are sended to the allocatet email adress of the printer
Can any printer with ePrint manage this function?
Or is there another way to autmaticly print all emails wich are sended to a specific email adress?

Hi,
I am unaware of a way to automatically print a mail unless there is the possibility of setting a rule in your email settings. Setting up a rule to forward to an address ending with @hpeprint would be an excellent way around the problem

Extra : (colons added) in URL

I have a branch on a page (reset) and a drop down navigation item that have exactly the same settings for page , request and with these values fields
yet when i select the menu I get an extra : at the end of my URL after the fsp_region_id = part
this is not a problem except for the following scenario
user clicks add record then presses cancel to abort add record function then selects from menu again
(I know its an unlikely scenario but one my users happily found in testing !!)
this causes me to get an ORA-06502: PL/SQL numeric or value error NULL index table key value error
If the extra : wasn't there it would work perfectly !
