Extra characters are coming through telnet
Hi,
I have opened a socket to the particular port and IP address. I am receiving the output from that terminal.In that terminal I could see some texts are in bold. But when I receive in my client program, I am seeing some extra characters with that string instead of bold.Is there any solution to avoid those characters or get the same format what ever in terminal . Please help me to resolve .

You mean is there any way to remove the characters you don't want without finding them first? I don't think so, but I could be wrong, miracles could happen. An angel could come down from heaven and solve your problem in zero time and space. You never know.
You could try setting term=dumb so there is no bold at all, but even still requires you to know something about the Telnet protocol. And you'll still get some Telnet commands in there from the server which you also have to remove.
If you don't like the protocol don't use it.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -

Hi, i downloaded ios 5 to ipad 2 and when I rebooted, all 2000 emails that i had recieved, read and trashed are downloading again. They are coming through 25 at a time eaach time I check mail. How do I stop this happening?
Use your PC to sign-on to your mail service using the browser interface they provide. Delete all the e-mails you don't want on the server. That will prevent the iPad from downloading them.

My text messages are coming through out of order! I have checked the software and the time setting is on automatic!! Very frustrating... any other advice??
When reception allows the iPhone sends and receives the messages, this is also dependent on the reception of the other phone you are communicating with. If you really feel you have a problem, contact your Carrier about the problem.

icloud emails are not coming through on my imac, though the gmail is ok. The icloud emails are coming through fine on the iphone and the macbook. Any ideas?
On the iMac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deslect the box next to Mail then reselect it.
Give iCloud a minute or two to re sync the data. -
I have just had an iPod mini but my messages are coming through on my iPad and my iPhone how can I stop this happening ? Do I need to reset my iPad ?
To prevent messages from reaching both devices you can turn off Messages on the device you do not want to receive messages but keep Messages on on the device you do want to receive Messages.
You might also look at this option for both devices.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > review the a riotous choices for how you can e reached and select the ones that are most appropriate for you and the device you are setting. -
Not all of my messages are coming through my email????
My computer restarted this morning and now my thunderbird email isn't working properly. Some emails are coming through but when I check emails on my iphone there have been other emails coming through (on my phone) which are not showing up in thunderbird on my computer?? I haven't changed anything, all I did was restart my computer. Help please!!
Not sure what would cause that but you might try setting it up as an Exchange account to see if you have more success, as explained here:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32784/sync-hotmail-with-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch -with-exchange-activesync/. (If you don't want to sync contacts or calendars just turn these to off.)

I have a new 5s - my text messages are coming through on my I-pad but not my new phone - why?
My 5s developed a fault so Apple gave me a new phone - backed it up with I-cloud but now my text messages are only coming through on my I-pad not my phone and can't work out why?

We want to provide you all the answers that you need. Verizon Messaging is a great application that we offer. When you logged into the website for the messages did you sign out when you were done? If not it still may assume you are online and wanting to receive messages.

talkingqueen56 lets get the device running smoothly again! To make sure I'm on the same page, messages are coming in as the phone number instead of the saved contact? If so, is this happening with iMessages and standard text messages?

For quite a while now I have missed some important emails that have come through to my iphone but not downloaded to my iMac, its happening more and more recently. It is really fustrating, I have looked at my iMac and can't find anywhere to adjust the settings to let through the missing emails, the emails that are not coming to my home pc are normaly from large companies, some from my credit card company and comformation for hotel bookings etc, etc.
Can anyone help me please?Problem might me with how your e.mail is set up if you're using POP3.
If you're using POP3 then you need to add "recent:" (without the quotation marks) before your username on both your iMac and your iPhone.
I use POP3 with Virgin Media and they have well documented help on this aspect.
This now works fine for me and I no longer miss any e.mails. -
Junk Characters are coming in the Print Preview of True Type Font

I am facing one issue. Here I have installed on one of the True type font of Gujarati (one of Regional language for India) language.When I see Print preview using LP01 Output device (which has SWIN Device Type) these true type font coming as Junk characters. But when I take print it is coming perfectly Ok. I want to know is there any setting required to maintain for Output device to see Print Preview in Gujarati also ?
I feel that when System is generating output for Preview it is ignoring true type font..
If there is any solution kindly let me know

Eventhough i have connected earphones, songs are coming through speaker

For songs you need to go to phone than swipe down from top to downwards, settings and clear log option will appear
Click on settings, Hearing aid, and them click on "on". Songs will come through earphones -

We have had a few reports of Yahoo not working well with the Apple Mail app
Here the options for you to consider:
Try to retrieve mail after each to see if the problem is resolved
1. Shut off all the apps using the app switcher
2. Then Reset the phone - no data loss - Hold down Sleep button and home button until the Apple logo appears and allow normal boot up
3. You have already reinstalled the mail account - so that is done
4. Download the Yahoo Mail app and access mail through that
