Extra networks listed but don't exist
If I go to the System Preferences/Network/Location Automatic/Show AirPort....I see By default, join "A specific network" as my only option. Then in the Network listing there are two extra networks listed but they are phantom and don't exist. In the upper right in the Show Airport status the 2 networks also appear.
How do I get rid of the extra phantom networks listed? Stumped......
The +/- boxes are available in the By default, join: Preferred networks but not in the Automatic mode. If I select the + button and use the pull-down for Network Name they appear again. They also appear in my Show AirPort status in menu bar. Can't seem to get rid of them......any thoughts?

I just downloaded 3 podcast items into my iPod shuffle but don't know how to listen to it. It plays the music list but don't know how to get to my podcast list to play it..

Phone number appearing in Favorites list but does not exist in Contacts
I have an iPhone 4S, running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206).
About two weeks ago (not really sure when I noticed) a phone number appeared at the bottom of my Favorites list. The number is for a person that I deleted from Contacts some months ago. The number is not in the Contact list anywhere, the contact does not exist. I've tried recreating the contact (and Favorites then shows the name) and then deleting the contact, and its still there in the Favorites list.
There is a facetime icon next to the number. If I turn off Facetime, the number disappears.
Any ideas welcome.Go under your phone icon, then under the favorites tab. Look in the top left hand corner of the screen and there should be an edit button. Tap it, and then tap the red delete/minus icon to delete it from your favorites list.

I have created a playlist that includes some spoken tracks. All of the tracks play as intended through itunes. However, when I sync my ipod, all tracks show up but not all of the spoken tracks play. They were all downloaded from the same site and are 2 to 6 second clips from movies or tv shows. Please help!!
Nope, not falsely... that truly is the way - however, when I double click, it just goes to another folder!! What have I done?? says the mouse. Anyway. . . I just went back to an older save of the session and manually reimported and edited things all over again. not cool. . . but I couldn't figure out what was going on. Anyway. . . thanks guys. Those values which are there in the IN list but not in the table.
Hi All,
We have a table global_title_isbn having 18 columns with primary key on title_isbn. This table contains approx. 10 million rows.
Normally what we used to get was 10-15 comma seperated list of ISBNs for some business process , for them we have to check into the table to figure out what all ISBNs are not there in the table.
But now a days we are getting a list of more than 100 ISBNs and there are times when only less than 40 ISBNs exist in the table. So figuring out what all ISBN are not there in the given list is very tiresome job.
Is there any way using SQL we get list of only those ISBN which are not there in the table from the list,
eg
select * from global_title_isbn where title_isbn in ( a comma seperated list);
will give me those ISBNs which are there in the global_title_isbn and in the given list..
Desired O/P
a list of ISBN which are there in the given list but do not exist in the table.
PS:-- I have only read access . I cannot create any table/view etc and PLSQL stored procedure.....

I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

Airport shows full bars but no networks listed, not connected
I recently began having an issue where my MacBook Pro (mid-2012, running 10.9.2) loses the wireless connection. However, the Airport icon in the menu bar still shows full bars (as if I were connected), but no networks are listed in the drop down menu.
Our other computer (a 2008 MacBook) and phones (moto G and Nexus 5) remain connected, at the same time, nor have they any similar issue. So it appears to be an issue specific to my MacBook Pro.
When I try to turn the Wi-Fi off then back on in the menu bar to see if it will reconnect, the Airport icon goes empty when I click off, but it does not come back to show the bars when I click it back on, remaining 'empty'. Yet I in the drop-down menu I regain the option to 'Turn Wi-Fi Off,' though no networks are listed.
Also, I use this machine daily at work on a university network Wi-Fi and have not had any issues (yet).
I've run Disk Utility after running into this problem, and it instructs me to Repair the Disk in Recovery Mode (via restarting the computer with CMD+R). Doing this, and sometimes doing just a normal restart, so far brings the connection back as normal.
This happened for the first time last weekend, happened again a couple days later, then twice this morning. So it's not constant but is enough that I'm seeking help.
I've scoured the system.log but don't really know what I'm looking for, thus not sure what to paste in here that would be helpful.
Thanks.Unfortunately, I'm living in a spot in Europe that's not really near any Apple stores (and not sure I wholly trust the nearest 'Trusted retailer' to sort this out).
The more I dig through this issue, the more it's seeming to categorize with the numerous discussions already ongoing about wi-fi drops with Mavericks (here, here, and here for example). The jist of these is that there seems to be no true, ultimate "fix." I tried many of the suggested workarounds (deleting Bluetooth plist, keeping the Bluetooth off, dropping the Wi-Fi from the Network preferences pane and re-adding it, creating a new network location, unsyncing iCloud Keychain, resetting the PRAM, rebooting the SMC). None gives permanent fix thus far.
My hardware tests and Disk Utility reports still come back clean, as well.
And I'm again using this computer on a Wi-Fi network at work with zero problems so far.
Further, we still have another computer (older MacBook, running 10.6.8) and two phones connecting to the home Wi-Fi that haven't had any issues, so it's not likely as simple as a bad router or home connection.
Whether something in the configuration isn't playing nice with Mavericks, however, is an issue I'm going to try to sort out further (e.g., I've read that changing the wireless router channel has helped some people). -
How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear. Help please!
As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message. -

I want to update iCloud account with new apple id but don't know password for old apple id. Plus can no longer receive email at old apple id. How can I delete the current iCloud account on my iPhone if the previously stated conditions exist?
If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I'm currently signed onto my home network and want to go on with another computer but don't remember my password for my network. Does anyone know where to find this? It's a password that I set myself, not the one that came with my router.
It's in your Keychain on the computer you usually use to connect to your network - the "kind" will be "AirPort Network Password".
Your Keychain can be opened by using the Keychain Access program. It is in your Utilities Folder.
Open Keychain Access, and type airport in the search field. You will see a number of entries. Choose the one with the name of your wireless network, open it, and check the box next to "show password". Before it reveals itself you will be asked for your login password - the one you use to log in to your MacBook.
The network password will appear in the box.
Quit Keychain Access. -
Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works.
I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list.
I haven't changed the steps that worked for me previous to the upgrade.
I have no idea how to fix this and can't find mention of anyone else having a similar problem.
Any suggestions?Click on a station and drag to the left. The playlists sidebar will open up. Drop on the playlist you want to add to.

Games I bought years ago, Texas Holdem and iQuiz will no longer transfer to my iPod Classic. They show in my computer "Apps" but they won't transfer. They no longer show that they can be "Re-Downloaded" from "Previously Purchased" they don't exist there.

I just purchased an AppleTV and am trying to connect AirPlay with my mac (2012 model) In 'system preferences > displays' an airplay menu is listed but it says 'no device detected'. My AppleTV and macbook are connected to the same network. Any suggestions why it is not working?
Troubleshoot the network as that is likely what is causing the issue.
Also, temporarily disable the firewall on the Mac and disable IPV6 on the computer.
