Extra pages in smartforms

I am having some problem with a smartform i have created to display the customer numbers and their cities.
I have created a table in the main window and under the main area i have created a line type with 2 cells to call customer no and city. My problem is that I am getting only one page of datas even though there are more datas. I have defined the same page number in the attributes for next page. In the footer where I have declared system variable SFSY-FORMPAGES I'm getting a star instead of a number. What might be the problem?? Kindly help. Thanks in advance.

if u've defined same page as the nextpage in general attributes tab of the page node, there should not be any problem. the same page gets repeated.
coming to SFSY-FORMPAGES problem, query this variable in a separate window of type 'final window'. total no. of pages is calculated at the last. so you should create another window of type 'final wimdow' and query SFSY-FORMPAGES in that.final widows are processed after all the remaing windows are processed.

thanks for your prompt responses...added to the question, in the extra page i'm getting spool information.actually the program is set in background.once the invoice is issued the form is sent to printer.and in the spool it is displaying the actual pages only.its not showing the extra pages.but once it is out from the printer,i'm getting the extra pages with the spool information

How To Delete The Extra Page In Smartform Output

Hi Friends,
I am working wih Smarform..which displays P.O Details (Header and Item ) .
Header Details in Template and Item Details in Table..
I am trying to print 10 P.O ..for every P.O i kept New page command.
So..finally i have to get 10 pages in output...instead i am getting 11 pages...
How to delete the extra page ? Y i am getting this..
please give helpful answers...

Hi,
as someone else said. put the newpage command at the start.
However with a condition that that it not happens at the first page.
or
Determine how many P.O.
use a counter.
If this counter is equal to number of P.O, then no newpage command.

Extra page shown in smartform

Hi,
please let me know how can I remove the extra page being printed at the end of the smartform, which I have used on change of some field using an event,.
suppose the data is getting actually printed in 3 pages, it is showing total of 4 page and 4th page is blank in all cases , i just need to remove this extra blank page,

hi,
total pages used are 2 , one for main page and then NEXT PAGE
suppose i gave input as EBELN OF 4500000128 to 4500000129
it shows output as
pages 1 of 4 on the intial page.
4500000128 comprises of 2 pages in all it has 20 details
4500000129 comprises of 1 page worth data contains 2 detail
now in all 3 page shows all the data required..
but the 4th page is shown and it displays a blank window [no data] fills the header though of next page but since no data is there, it shows blank main window
the same case is repeated in all the cases, just the page number changes, but in every case extra blank page at end is shown.
i want to remove the last page being shown
i hope you are clear with the output i am getting

How to modify total pages in smartforms?

In smartform Im printing ' page of total pages' as &SFSY-PAGE& of &SFSY-FORMPAGES(3CZ)&. All are working fine. Now at last I have to print one extra page without page no. So, If the total o/p pages are 16 ( including last page) I have to show i.e
1 of 15, 2 of 15 .... 15 of 15 , and in the last pages nothing. For this Im moving SFSY-FORMPAGES to one variable and substracting one from it, but its not working, its showing as 1 of 0, 2 of 1 ... 15 of 14..
so how to decrease the total page number. I think it generates in runtime and in my smartform all windows are in one PAGE.
So how to do this ? any Idea?

I think we can try this. Issue new page after all pages. If page less than or equal to total pages, display that, else issue new page.

How to avoid extra page

HI all,
I am getting my ouptut in smartforms . But the problem is i am getting an extra page with logo at the end. How to avoid that?
Here i am using only 2 windows. LOGO window and main window.

Check your main window and see whether there are any blank lines inside your main window... if that is not the case check whether you are using any command and calling the new-page in smartform... if yes.. goto command and un-check the tick box goto next page.

Printing Multiple pages in Smartform on Local printer

Hi guys,
I have a smartform with a command to print a page with the general conditions.
When I print this on a defined printer in SPAD everything goes fine (got 2 pages) but when I print this same form thru the Local printer I only get 1 page. It seems the second page is printed over the first.
Tried it with more pages, 1 with data then general conditions then data again, and it also prints it all on 1 page thru the Local printer. With the third page on top of the second on top of the first.
Does anybody know how to solve this issue.

Hi,
I checked the printers and they are using the normal SAPWIN type. I tried it with access method F and G but both give the same result. The page format used is the standard DINA4.
On the print preview it looks fine, when I print it on a printer from my windows session using the local printer it all prints on the first page (so it only shows the last page).
I tried to add the check SY-TABIX > 1 and it is the same issue.
The problem seems not to be with the smartform because if I print a layout which do not have a command to add an extra page but it contains enough data to print on multiple pages and we get the same result. Second page is printed over first page.

I want to print next page in smartform.
The situation is :-
I am passing an internal table containing list of personal numbers.
I have to print their details . Every candidate's detail should be printed on a new page .
I have designed the whole form , but I am not print their details on a New Page.

1. First of all you need to set a Flag at the end of every Personal Number.
2. Than Right Click on the object Like Main Window
--> Create --> Flow Logic --> Command
3. From First Tab of Command General Attributes Check the Check Box Go to New Page and Select Your Page
4. In the Conditions Tab Give you Flag Condition.

How to create two different pages in smartforms.In my requirement the first page contains Table data in main window and in second page only the hard coded desription should be printed containg instructions,but the second page is mandatory after first
page is completed,the first page may have n number of pages after printing those pages my second page should trigger.Help me if any one knows.

hi ,
once a main window size is declared , then that space will be placed in each page created.
eg. if a table with header and footer is created, first of all the space for header and footer are allocated and body page is allocated.
so we cannot dynamically change the size of the main window , even it is a copied main window.
Otherwise another option is to continue the main window into the second page.
for that first page main window -> create table -> add page break command to page 2 -> hard code description in template.
page attribute for first page --> GOTO assign same page ( for continuing the same page)
Page attribute for second page --> no need default is enough

The page to which you want to branch must exist. You can branch to a new page only as long as you are still displaying the contents of a main window.
Choose Create -> Command in the context menu to create a command node in the main window of the page.
On the General Attributes tab strips Tick Go to new page. Determine the new page using the list box next to the checkbox (it can be the same page if you want).
The output of the main window will continues on the new page.

Default: No change of print mode
S     Begin new page in SIMPLEX mode (single-sided)
D     Begin new page in DUPLEX mode (double-sided)

Getting Runtime error while adding Second page in Smartform.

I added 2 pages in smartform. When I worked with single page. smartform working properly. Now I added one more page(i.e Second page) I am getting runtime error. ("The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
situation". A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSTXBC" raised the exception
condition "ERROR".) When I debug this standard program Something width problem getting on line number 110. Both width not matched so program raising exception. Can you please tell me to solve this problem what changes will I do in my smartform?

Please let me know the details of each page.
Error can occur in these cases.
1) You copied the first page to second. and later you change the width of second page
2) You created the second page and there is template in second page. each column width is not matching with the total width of the template.
3) windows width is greater than the page width

Friends,
we have a requirement to print hedaings in multiple pages.
like if we have 100 line items those will accomidate more tahn one page , i need to print headings in each page.

How to print grandtotal in table footer only in the last page in SMARTFORMS

Hello Experts,
How do I print the GRANDTOTAL in the table footer only on the LAST PAGE in SMARTFORMS.
What I have done is in the text element of CELL1 of the table footer i wrote the folowing logic but not working.
/: IF &SFSY-PAGE& EQ &SFSY-FORMPAGES&.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
I even tried this.
/: IF &NEXT-PAGE& EQ 0.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
but still it displays the grand total on all pages at table footer.
How do i go for this experts.

HI Nambiar,
To print the grand total only on the last page then create the secondary window --> create the text node for the grand total -->In the condition tab check only after the end of the main window.
This grand total will be displayed after all the items and end of the main window.
Footer in the table displays as the subtotals i.e on every page total is displayed..
