Extra space following character - how do I stop this?
When we try to use the ' key while in pages, it makes a space after it and then the letter. It can't be right. It looks like this: "don' t"
Can anyone help to change this? Thank you!

Cheers, fruhulda and thank you for your time. My sister just purchased a new laptop - macbook, I think, 13", and installed iWorks 08 onto it. She just did this yesterday and is trying to work on it today. I need to ask if she has done all her updates; since she just got the computer last week, I don't know that she has done that yet. It was purchased from Apple, so I imagine it would be close to having the updates. I will ask her about the auto-correction - I never thought about that! I can also have her run the disk utilities and verify disk permissions.

I use iPhone 5s and iPad Air to take photos. They download automatically to my iMac. However, I often get dups, triplicates or more on the iMac. How can I stop this and how can I get rid of the extras that are already there?
Try upgrading your Mac to the newest version of OS X Mavericks, and try upgrading your iPhone and iPad to the newest version of iOS 7.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

In some folders I get duplicates (or even multiple) copies of the same photograph. How do I stop this happening or when it does how do I delete the extra copies I don't want. Plus from time to time the photos in one folder will appear in another? Do they do this when I'm asleep? Help please

My desktop pages keep collapsing into my doc. How can I stop this?
I have an iMac 500 with the Lion 10.6 OS. When I try to move a page I'm working on to a different part of the desktop my mouse doesn't pick it up and move it. Instead it collapses the page into my dock at the bottom of the screen. How can I stop this collapsing feature?
Chris, thank you for your response. It is appreciated. What you mentioned was my original problem with the SIM (the fact that it did not mesh well with Apple). After plenty of frustration and money wasted, a technician advised me to de-activate iMessage and FaceTime because I was getting charged 0.30 euro for every call and every text. I followed this suggestion and after testing it out, then the phone seemed to be working fine without the extra charge problems.
This morning when I woke up, I checked my credits on the phone and I had lost another 1.20 euro during the night. When I called PosteMobile, they told me that I had sent another 4 messages to that same UK number. I'm not sure how this is possible, and when I try to explain my situation to them, they are not the friendliest people. I've used WIND before in Italy as a provider without any problems, and they are not listed on the link that you sent me for Italy, so I don't understand why PosteMobile is giving me so many problems.
I was also wondering if there is a way to block my phone from sending messages to this number? (Although, I don't even know the last 3 digits of the number). Sorry if I'm rambling, but I don't know how to resolve this problem without starting a new contract with another service provider. -
Every few months, Bing takes control of Firefox:
When I start the computer, Bing autostarts FF and then makes itself the home page.
If I quickly close FF - I am really upset about this Bing thing and will never use it, so I shut down the autostart FF - and then open FF myself, Bing will open as the home page.
When I check options Gmail is set as the home page. When I check bookmarks, there is nothing for Bing.
This is a pretty egregious MS malware program.
How do I stop this, and keep it from re-occurring? Note that I've already tried the resetting of FF, which means I must reinstall all extensions. That works but only for a few weeks. The Bing malware is back. How do I get rid of this, once and for all? Or could Mozilla have a legal chat with MS, since they are "grabbing" your software in the worst malware fashion.
I use an ASUS F502c. It came with Windows 8; I've upgraded that to 8.1

i have a 3g iphone. I dowloaded Icloud months ago. I have just today started getting popups on my phone to ...Sign in to ICloud... Enter the apple ID password for "my email address that i use on my iphone".

Accessing an iCloud account is not supported with an iPhone 3G.
There are no viruses that affect or infect iOS, unless you have purposely jailbroken/hacked your iPhone which removes all built in security included with iOS allowing you to download unofficial apps from unknown and untrusted sources which can include malware.
Don't remember where you access your Apple ID with the App Store with iOS 4 which is the latest version for an iPhone 3G, but have you checked there? If so, try logging out of your Apple ID followed by logging back in with the iTunes App Store. -
I downloaded TunesGoWatch by Wondershare. I deleted the app. Every time I turn on my computer I get a popup saying "TunesGoWatch can't be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed." I deleted the app, how do I stop this popup? Your help is truly appreciated

Determine if that program appears in that list. If it does, select it and then remove it from Login Items with the "–" (minus) button.

I think what happens is that you sign in at Gmail, which is a Google+ sign-in these days, and all the other web pages that participate in the Google+ program somehow "sense" that you have just logged into Google+ and reload their page to reflect that you are nowlogged into the Google+ program. I recently upgraded from ipad 1 to the new ipad. After synching my new ipad, all of my deleted emails (3000+) keep showing up on my new ipad in my mail section. How can I stop this?

I followed that 'How-To' when I did the transfer and watched iTunes process the backup, it also showed the 'Last Backup' date correctly at the bottom of the iTunes Summary screen. I did a restore from backup to my new iPad and on checking the iPad 4 it seemed that the transfer process duly transferred my books, documents, apps etc but did not transfer my photos and videos (they are all clicked to be included in the sync).
I have now clicked on each video title in iTunes and it tells me that it cannot locate any of the videos!
It seems for some bizarre reason that the transfer process has transferred some of the content of my iPad 1 and deleted other content - I don't get it!
I also have the same content (videos and photos) on my iPhone 4 and have connected that to iTunes, whereby it immediately did a backup and sync, however I still get iTunes telling me that it cannot locate the videos ... it's as though the backup that was taken does not exist - or does 'backup' not mean 'backup'?. -
Why is that when I am composing a new message do I end up with multiple versions of my message I am composing up in my Google Trash mailbox? How can I stop this from happening?
It was very hard to see what the box says because the message displays for less than one second. However, I was able to record it with my iphone and pause it until I got a shot of the message. The box says the following:
"Do you want the application “java” to accept incoming network connections?
Clicking deny may limit the application’s behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security preferences."
I did make some changes. I will see if it works.

I have repeated devices in iPhoto; it seems that every time I plug my phone or iPad to my computer it makes a entry in devices (if iPhoto is on or not), how do I stop this? Here is a current grab from my iPhoto screen. If I click on one of the old entries a bunch of blank squares appear for the images. The last device in the list for each phone works..

Help! My Mouse pad is not working properly. The arrow cannot be controlled, it just keeps jumping all over the page. How can I stop this?
There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and in that case the unit must be serviced or replaced.
3. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
4. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
5. Reset the System Management Controller.
6. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
7. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested. -
Doing a 30 minute video created 15 Gigabyte of Internet usage. Why? And how can I stop this!
Created a small, simple 30 minute video. Burned a few CDs. Downloaded one (1) sound track (a few MB). Internet usage soared to an unbelievable 15 GB!
All data, files, etc on my PC, yet Premiere Elements used the Internet constantly, especially when burning CDs.
Why? There was nothing to upload or download (except 1 sound track). This maxed my Internet allowance, and has cost me a lot of cash for extra capacity.
How can I stop this data gluttony.
Or do I have to junk a new, expensive program? (Premiere Elements 13.Contacted support.
They say that this is 'impossible'!!!
Went for Option 2. Accept one-time waste of Internet capacity. Write it off to painful experience. Junked Premiere Elements 13.

ITunes wont sync any features/updates with iPhone
Hi - I'm sure this is more of a software or iTunes question but whenever I connect my iPhone to my computer, iTunes for some reason won't sync at all with my iPhone. I noticed this when I had the iPhone5 and recently upgraded to an iPhone6. I tried i
