Extra Zeros in iCal

I'm sure the solution is simple but...my wife's iCal calendar has started adding an extra two zero's to the time in all .ics events. An appointment made for 9:00am displays as 9:00 00am. When I drag the item to the desktop and look at it with quicklook it displays as 9:00 00am. When I import the item into Entourage it displays as 9:00 00am.
Every item in iCal now displays this way so I looked at her iCal preferences. The drop down list in "day starts at" now shows the times as 8:00 00AM! I went to her "date and time preferences" and turned off the display of seconds in her menubar clock with no effect.
Does anyone know where these extra zeros (or seconds) are coming from? Or more importantly, how to turn them off?

oldrick,
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
First of all try refreshing the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.
If that is unsuccessful, open System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats, and choose, or change the appropriate region. Then check/change the "Times" formats that you are using.

  • Key Figure value in Cube showing with extra zeros

Loaded data into the cube. When I display the result
Key figure values are showing with 2 extra zeroes and Quantity value shaowing with 3 extra zeroes.
    Original value
    Price, Quantity, Sales Rev
    2     1     2
    3     2     6
    When display value from cube
    Price, Quantity, Sales Rev
    2,00     1,000     2,00
    3,00     2,000     6,00
Why zero is showing? How can I display the original value? In PSA, values are showing correctly.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
These are the zeroes after the decimal places. this is the property of the key figure.
In your report you can change the display value. In the display properties of the Key figure under the number of decimal places make it as 0. This will remove the zeroes.
    Hope it helps.

  • Extra zeros in numeric fields when I create spreadsheet from data files

I created a form with Live Cycle, and then in Adobe I use the option "create a spread sheet from data files" to import the answers to a xls file.
I have two problems with this action: the first one is that I get 8 extra zeros in each numeric field, the second one is that fields are ordered by type and not by appearance.
I tried a different approach importing directly in Excel, in that way there are no extra zeros and the order is correct, but I get just one form each time, and in a "stairways" fashion (i. e. first field in A1, second in B2, and so on)
    I'd appreciate any help

Where do you find the command "create a spread sheet from data files"?
Anyway i have a similar problem: when i export data in a .csv file and than i import it in excel, i always get 8 extra zeros... how can i solve the problem?

I made this program to leanr screen painting which is a calculator. It all works fine but any calculation I do has extra zeros I don't want for example,
If I do 3.5 divide by 0.5 it shold give me an answer of 7.00 but it appears like 00000000007.00 and I can't figure out why. My fields for this output and the input are set to DEC - Decimal type.in the screen painter. My variables are specified to two decimals. So whats with these extra zeros?

    Hi James,
In the fields attributes, tab program, have a look if "Leading zeroes" checkbox is checked. It should not be.

  • Extra zero "0" in front of caller ID numbers

    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has seen this before.. and if so how can I reslove it.
When people call my numer from a moble there's always an extra zero in front of the number.. e.g. 007712345678
So when I try to return the call it fails due to it being a wrong number.
This is also the same when I call 1471.. the extra zero is there too?
    Thanks

    An update
Mon 7 Oct : Contacted by support agent to arrange an Engineers visit for Tues between 8am - 1pm
Tues 8 Oct 8:07am : Engineer arrived at 8:07am. Explained issue and engineer called my number from his BT mobile. He saw the additional zero. He then called 1471 and the additional zero was there also.
He then ran line tests etc and all seemed good. He went out for a while and spoke on his mobile to colleagues as he hadn't seen or heard of this type of fault before. He asked was my number a BT number or was it transferred from another supplier to BT. I said yes.. it was originally a sky number. He said it seemed like a software / exchange issue and they would need to investigate it further and left.
Tues 8 Oct 10:40am: Text received to say fault was fixed / closed.
Tues 8 Oct 2:40pm: Re-opened fault. Fault not fixed - Zero still there
Wed 9 Oct: Multiple calls to landline from BT engineers working on line. They confirmed they could see the zero when looking at their systems inside the exchanges and that it was some type of network/software fault and would require further investigation.
Thurs 10 Oct: Call from BT support call centre to arrange an Engineers visit. Visit arranged for Sat 12 Oct between 8am - 1pm
Sat 12 Oct 10:17am: Text received to say fault was fixed / closed.
Sat 12 Oct 10:25am: Checked line and fault still there. No Engineer had called. Reopened fault online. Dialled 151 from my BT line and was greeted by SKY Talk customer support?
Dialled 0800 800 151 and got through BT Call centre. Asked why fault had been closed again? She didn't know. She is trying to find out if Engineer will actually be visiting today or not. Due to call back within 2 hours.

  • Duplicates/extra entries in  iCal on Iphone not ICloud related

So I have been having this issue for a long time and I have been through all the trouble shooting and it always points back to settings and whatever to iCloud. This is not an iCloud issue as I turned it off a while ago and I have Snow Leopard Version 10.6.8 on my Mac which I believe doesn't hook up to iCloud at all (Am I correct here?). I have an Iphone 5 and it is updated to the new IOS but this has been happening prior to the update and it ALSO happened on my previous iphone 4 and to my Ipad. I have finally deduced all the extra entries showing up on my phone are from any change I made to an entry on my iCal on my computer. For example: If I click on my Ical on my computer to make a new entry and deleted it, a new entry shows up on my iphone calendar for that event even though I deleted it from my computer. OR if I made a change to an event, it would show up on my iphone as two different events. The original way I entered the event and then another event on my phone with the change. (Same thing when I plug in my Ipad, makes all these crazy entried).  I really need my calendar to work. This is ridiculous. Is anyone else having this issue or can someone PLEASE help me fix this???????

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would first try resetting SyncServices as described here:

  • Extra zeroes in Bex Analyzer Keyfigure columns

    Hi, All
I have a problem! The Keyfigure columns contain too many zeros. For example the column displays 1600 000 instead of 1600.
This problem occurs for all queries that are executed on the machine where installed Excel 2007, for Excel 2003 this problem is not actual.
Scaling factor is not a cause of the error, so can you suggest a decision of this problem

  • Extra column in iCal discussion

I don't think this has been mentioned before ...
In the iCal discussion there is a column headed "Forum", in which the content is always "iCal". None of the other discussions I visit have it.
Do people browsing a discussion need to be told on every line which discussion they are browsing?
    AK

Austin: The same situation applies in the Safari area. As to terminology, the following is taken from Help & Terms of Use——
    How is the content organized?
The content in our forums is structured as follows:
Forum Categories—Categories represent a collection of topical forums as well as other categories, and are used to organize forums to help you easily find the information you seek. Our categories are generally defined by a product name, such as "iPod," "iMac," or "Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger."
Forums—Forums are the areas where individual discussions take place. The discussions are displayed as a list of topics. For example, if you're looking for conversations about searching your Mac with Spotlight, click the Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger link on our Discussions homepage, then click the Spotlight link in the resulting Tiger page to visit the Spotlight forum.
So the hierarchy is Topics within Forums within Categories. In the case of iCal and Safari, there is only one Category.

  • 2 extra zeros zoom settings Numbers '08 in Mountain Lion

After I installed Mountain Lion my iWork 08 Numbers' zoom settings on the bottom of the spreadsheet show as: 2500%, 5000%, 7500%, 10000%, 12500% etc, instead of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%.
The default zoom setting in Preferences show the correct setting (ie 25%, 50%).
    How do I solve this?

  • How would I truncate extra zeros (as in millions) ?

Say my y-axis now has this series:    $30,000,000     $20,000,000   $10,000,000
and I want to change it (formulaicly -- so I don't have to re-enter all my numbers manually) to:   $30      $20      $10
with a note somewhere on the chart saying   "(in millions)"
    How does one do this?

    Hi H L,
Numbers will chart the data you supply.
Here, the original data is in column B of the table.
In column E the data has been adjusted for the chart by dividing the value in column B by 1,000,000,000.
    =B/1000000000
Enter the labels for the category axis in column A (a header column).
Enter "Millions" in the first row (a header row) of column E.
Select the indicated cells in column E.
Choose the Line Chart option in the Charts button's menu.
The rest (with these values) was automatic.

  • Broswers that allow extra IP address 0 (zero) character causes BlazeDS connection to fail

Both in FireFox and IE, if I add an address of http://10.97.150.01 the browser will not strip off the extra "0" before the 1.  For pretty much all of our code (javascript, application loading, etc), it handles it without an issue.   But then our application creates a connection to our server via the BlazeDS interface and we are failing when trying to retrieve data.  Yet if I use the address of http://10.97.150.1, then everything is ok.
Yes, I know...do not use an address with the extra zero.  Problem is that for some reason some of our customers use the extra 0.   Looking at the network traffic via firebug, I see that for most of the traffic, it uses the 01, yet the AMF connection is using 1.
And for the successful case, it all uses 1.  We currently use version 3.2.0, but I just downloaded and tried the 3.3.0 version with the same results.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

  • Leading zeros in rename photos

When renaming a group of images it would be great if (as in Bridge) Lightroom would put in the leading zeros. I found it a pain to have to put in the extra zeros (using windows explorer) so they would appear in the correct order - even in bridge.

    Hi Lee & Ian,
But this is for importing images.
After importing and editing I now want to rename the keepers. I've edited 500 files down to 385 and want to sequentially rename the keepers.
    From the help file;
Numbering Specifies a text string using an import number based on how many photos have been imported into the library, sequence number, or image sequence number. (This element is only available in the Filename Template Editor, when importing or auto-importing photos, and in the Text Template Editor, when creating slideshows, printing photos, or creating web photo galleries.)
    Or am I missing something????

  • Zeros in invalid dimension intersections

    Hi all,
I'm perplexed with a case, when a method writes zeros to invalid intersections, and I can see them in a data grid. The method is like this:
    Sub Consolidate()
If HS.Value.Member = "[Parent Total]"  Then Call Cons_1
    End Sub
    Sub Cons_1()
    Set objDataUnit = HS.OpenDataUnit("V#[Elimination].A{Accs.[Base]}")
    lNumItems = objDataUnit.GetNumItems
    For i = 0 to lNumItems-1
      Call objDataUnit.GetItem(i, nmAcc, nmICP, nmC1, nmC2, nmC3, nmC4, dtData)
       If nmC2 <> "xxx" Then Call HS.Con ("V#[Elimination].C1#" & HS.Custom1.UD1(nmC1) ,-1,"...")
    Next
    End Sub
Do you have any idea why this method gives 0 on V#[Elimination] for E#Entity, but this intersection is invalid because Elimination value should use nodes instead of entities? I  output to log file that this procedure writes 0 to such intersection. And I see it in a grid.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Mary,
Regarding my example, it was a copy paste mistake.
I believe that the reason of the extra zeros is the string: HS.Custom1.UD1(nmC1). If I have understood correct your rule, my way of writing the rule would be similar to:
    If HS.Custom1.UD1(nmC1) = "nmC1" and nmC2 = "xxx" Then
         Call HS.Con ("V#[Elimination]" ,-1,"...")
    End If
In other words, you must remove the UD1 from the Con command.
    Regards
    Thanos
