Extract of Archived FI Docs

Hi,
I need to extract archived FI docs for a number of GL accounts. Have looked to extract via transaction SARI, however there is no archiving object for FI documents. Please advise on how to proceed

Error Message downloading CS5: A problem occurred while extracting the archive..

After dowloading the CS5 Design Premium, I get an error messagin stating "A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe CS5 Design Premium again." I repeated this process multiple times to no avail. I am trying to download the CS5 design premium on my new laptop, but don't have the software cds to do this. Thus, I can only download the software but after i download the two files required, that error message appears. (I already have my serial number).

Please try disabling your Antivirus as sometimes it detects the files as virus and removes them while downloading. You can also try downloading after performing Selective Startup.

How to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server?

Hi,
I want to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server.
Formerly on our SAP system, Archivelink was set up to archive these documents to an HTTP content server. Since we no longer have this server, I want to adapt it to simply output the PDFs to a filesystem on the application server. I have tried to reconfigure the content repository (tcode OAC0) without success.
Am I on the right track?
If so, which document area, storage type, etc should I use?

from DMS point of view you may use the storage category 'DMS_C1_ST' and the content repository 'DMS_C1' as a kind of template. The document area for DMS storage categories has to be maintained as 'DMS'.

Hi All,
I have downloaded the jdevstudio11116install.exe, when trying to install the exe I am getting the following error message,
"could not extract the archive since it is corrupted. Errorcode = 2". Also when I tried to unzip the file by using winrar it is giving me the following error.
! C:\Users\demo\Downloads\Programs\jdevstudio11116install.exe: CRC failed in media\adfr_11116_COMP_win32ccjk.jar. The file is corrupt

Hi timo, unfortunately I run my anti virus software while downloading... Is it possible to download the following jar files seperately and do anything...

Jdev11g could not extract the archive since it is corrupted error code = 50

Please I need a help
After I downloaded Jdeveloper 11g and I begun to run the EXE it gaved me this error
"could not extract the archive since it is corrupted error code = 50"
I downloaded it again the next day but with the same error and the same problem.
Could anybody know this issue ???? how to fix it ???

Do you run a virus checker or some program to scan the web traffic?
Some of them are trying to check every file inside the jars or exe and if they contain more then 65536 file they corrupt the file without saying so.
So try to download if running such programs or try it at an other location.

Package Installer 10.3.3" on my system,but when i double on the GUI self extractor for WLS,,, i am getting the following error.

so i tried to download another copy at another location,,,,even then the same error continues.

Update turbotax 2013 error can't extract from archive on install and launch

I installed my turbotax 2013. Then it said to update. I downloaded the update. Then it said install and relaunch. Up comes this message, "An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later. No matter what I try. It comes up with same error message. I was online with intuit techs and they haven't solved it yet. Any ideas?

First off, you are not seeing a kernel panic but an inability to load the kernel file "mach_kernel," which is damaged or missing.
This is apparently because of a file system error (Invalid Key Length), a serious error Disk Utility is not designed to repair, since the repair usually involves loss of data & that app is very conservative about such things.
It is almost impossible that the update itself is responsible for creating this error but very common for one to exacerbate it if it already exists. This is because file system errors corrupt files when the OS writes files to the disk, & updates write a lot of files to the disk.
If you have implemented a backup strategy, the fix is straightforward, if a little time consuming: reformat the drive, do a new install of the OS from the installer disks, & restore your data from your backups.
If you have not implemented a backup strategy, you now know why one is essential: no data you cannot afford to lose should reside only in one place like your internal hard drive. Data is lost every day because of human error, theft, hardware failure, or a host of other reasons. Only a good backup strategy can prevent this.
Assuming the second situation applies to you, your best bet is to purchase a more powerful disk repair utility like DiskWarrior to see if it can repair the file system damage with minimal data loss. Be sure you read & heed the app's manual before using it! Failure to do so, or attempting to use the computer before the errors are repaired, will almost certainly result in more data loss.

Goldengate extracting from Archive log

We are conducting a replication of Oracle Database. Due to high load on Production server, the client is providing us a near DR database server for extraction. This database server is using Oracle Data Guard to be in Sync with Production server. Hence we will be using Archive logs shipped from Production to DR to Extract changed data. I have searched on the Net and read manuals, but I am unable to understand the how to configure OGG for this scenario. I understand that we can used Tranlogoptions parameter to extract data from Archive logs, but since the near DR database is in Mount state, how can we Log in the database using userid /password in extract process. Also we need to have Select any dictionary privileges on the database, but database is in mount state, so how to work on it??

For a physical standby, you can configure GG to read the archived standby logs in archive log only (ALO) mode.
ARCHIVEDLOGONLY causes Extract to read from the archived logs exclusively, without querying or validating the logs from system views such as v$log and v$archived_log. This parameter puts Extract into Archived Log Only mode (ALO). For more information, see the Oracle GoldenGate Oracle Installation and Setup Guide.
You can configure the Extract process to read exclusively from the archived logs. This is
known as Archived Log Only (ALO) mode. In this mode, Extract only reads from archived
logs that are stored in a specified location. ALO mode allows Oracle GoldenGate to use
production logs that are shipped over to a secondary database (such as a standby) as the
data source for Oracle GoldenGate. The online logs will not be used. Oracle GoldenGate
will connect to the secondary database to get metadata and other required data as needed.
As an alternative, ALO mode is supported on the production system.
Extract automatically operates in ALO mode if it detects that the database is a physical standby.

I have the same problem as Vishal had.
I have installed weblogic portal 92, and worked fine for months. Because of the disk space problem while running the portal application, I increased the free disk space to 10GB, uninstalled the portal 92 platform, but now when i try to download and install weblogic portal 92 platform it gives me the following error:
could not extract the archive since it is corrupted error code = 2.

The problem was solved, I just re downloaded the file, and re install it again.

Recovering directory timestamps when extracting tar archives

I created a backup using tar, and now I try to extract it, but the problem is that some of the directories do not get the correct timestamps.
As an example, consider the following directory structure:
   dir0/
       file1
       dir1/
           file2
           .DS_Store
           dir2/
               file3
This can be created (in Terminal) by:
    mkdir dir0
    cd dir0
    touch file1
    mkdir dir1
    cd dir1
    touch file2
    mkdir dir2
    cd dir2
    touch file3
    cd ../../..
and then you just navigate to dir0/dir1 in Finder (but not to dir2), which creates the .DS_Store files in both dir0 and dir1. Finally, we delete the .DS_Store in dir0:
    rm dir0/.DS_Store
Now i created the archive (on Mountain Lion, bsdtar 2.8.3, but I have the same issue when I try gnutar 1.17):
    tar -cvf bkup.tar dir0/
Then I extract the archive in a different location, say:
    mkdir different_location
    cd different_location
    tar -xvf ../bkup.tar
The problem: the (modification) timestamp of dir1 is set to the time I extracted the archive, rather then to the creation time of the original dir1 (but dir0 and dir2 have the correct timestamps of the creation time).
How can I ensure that all extracted directories have the modification timestamps set to the same as the original directories?
The problem seems to be related to the .DS_Store file that is in dir1/ but is not in dir0/ and dir2/. I do want to save the .DS_Store files in my original archive. Perhaps this also has something to do with the fact that .DS_Store files have extended attributes (unlike the other files in these directories);
that is, perhaps tar adds the extended attributes after it sets the timestamps of the extracted files, and that step resets the modification times?
So I tried to disable the extended attributes with:
    export COPYFILE_DISABLE=true
but that did not work.
any idea how to recover the original timestamps?

There's a write-up on tar and how it tries to maintain the directory modification times here.
Do you need to use tar, or could zip and unzip (for instance) be used here?   And depending on what you're up to with the backups, using a scratch disk and time machine works, as can using rsync; if it's not working for you here, might there be an alternative to tar?

Rebate Agreements for Archived Billing Docs

Can anyone help me with how to find Rebate Agreements associated with ARCHIVED billing documents. I know table M-VMCFB will give me billing docs and rebate agreements, but archived billing docs aren't on there. There must be a way to find the info as I can drill down on individual billing docs in VF07 to get the rebate agreement number for an item. But how do I do it for a list of archived billing docs?

Retriving archived material doc in MB51

Hi All,
I have archived few material documents, I am able to retrive them using the T.code MB51, here there are 3 check boxes at the bottom of the screen.
1. Data base
2. short documents
3. Reread short docs in Archive.
1.can any one let me know from where(from which table) the system will fetch the data and display when we select the check box. "short documents" alone and execute?
2. what is the defference between the "short docs" check box and "reread short docs in archive" check box?

I have one doubt, if i am opening any archived material document number using MB51 using "reread short docs in Archive". we are able to see the correctly. And if we are clicking on output field Material Document then its opening t code MB03.
but if we are trying directly to open in MB03 using fiscal year and material document we are getting error message" Document xxxxxxxxxx does not exist in calendar year xxxx".
Any solution to solve the above issue.

How to clear GRIR with ARCHIVED matl doc? - MR11 won't work

Hi All,
I am having a problem in which the material document(GR document) of the P.O has been archived,but the user is trying to do MR11 which will obiviously not work as the GR/IR accounting maintenance checks for the reference documnet and is not able to find the GR documnet, which in the above case has been archived.
So could any one please guide me
1) If MR11 can be done then how?,as it will not select the P.O in question
2)Are there any SAP notes for the same.(I searched for them but couldn't able to find one)

Are you sure that for the P.O in question whose material document cann't be seen in SAP(Archived/deleted) the system should be proposed in the P.O for GR/IR posting?
Yes I am certain. but precondition is that your GR was posted to the GR/IR account.
Could you please let me if there are any procedure to delete that P.O line item in question whose material doc(GR document) has been deleted.
A Po whose material doc has been deleted can be flagged for deletion as any other PO. Just select the items and click the trash can.
I think I have given the minimum selection criteria only company code, posting date, and vendor(to narrow down the search) and the purchase order date from and to (to include that particular P.O's document date)
The minimum selection criteria is NO selection criteria. Especially if the error is caused thru a wrong selection, you will never know, if you dont run it without the selection criterias.
