try to activate datasource
0RF_ARTHIER_ACT
and got a error
"Extract structure /BI0/ARF_DS0100 is not active"
what have i do to activate this structure...
its seems not like 2lis_03_bf, where 03 is number of application...
help plz.

In R/3 first transfer Business content application hier and come to RSA 5 and activate the data sources...

On source sysyetm replicate the data source ....proir to that you should have installed/activated that data source in Business content..

Goto SE11, put the name of your extract structure in Data type and click display, check the version of the structure. if it is inactive then goto RSA6 and activate your DS.
After activation try to retransport.

Error :Extract Structure does not exist for the table YFSP03A .

Hi Could you please help me to solve the above mentioned problem?
I have a requirement where i have to generate the Data Source ' 3FI_SL_FS_SI ' using the table YFSP03A .
Using the Tcode: BW03MAST i tried to assign FI-SL to the ledger but it throwed me an error that extract structure does not exit for the table YFSP03A .The reason being that i didnot create an extract structure for the table.So i tried to create it using the Tcode: BW01,but i did not have authorisation for the Transaction and BI team also could not generate as even they were not authorized to generate extract Structures.
So, Please are there any other ways to generate Extract structure for the table so that i can generate the Data source? Or is there any other means of generating the Data Source? And i couldnot access the other Tcodes viz :FAGLBW03, FAGLBW01, FAGLBW02.

"The extract structure is not permitted"

Hi,
I created a new datasource on R/3 system over a table Z*. Always works fine until I created a new append structure to enable load more data from new appended fields.
The problem is that when I access to the datasource using tcode RSO2, I click on the save button and a error message is displayed below with the following text: "The extract structure is not permitted".
I already activated the structure referred as the append extraction structure too. If i try to access to that structure by RSA6 tcode, i can do it, however the same it is not possible using RSO2.
This only happens to the datasource created using a tabel Z*. I created too another datasource, but using a table standard and it works good.
Can anyone, please, help me with this thread?

Unfortunately, my question hasn't been solved yet.
I have, correctly, assigned Ref tables and Ref fields for Currency /Quantity fields.
This error message only happens when i add the append structure on the datasource. If i remove the append structure created, datasource works fine. So, this means that the problem is related with this append.
I have another datasource created over a standard table and i added the same append structure with same fields and data elements, and i have no problems at all.
This is happening only with this Z* datasource created over a Z* structure.
Any more ideas, please?

Field is there in extract structure but not in RSA6

Hi all,
second time i am asking the same question.
in tcode rsa6, when double click on extract structure i am able to see two fields for size. i have cross checked in tcode lbwe they are on left side only.But still i am not able to see those fields in rsa6.
i have replicated the datasource in bw.Under transfer rule i can those fields in comm. str., but i dont have info object to update the fields.

Fileds available in extract structure but not in Datasource.

I n the extract structure BIW_MARC_S of 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR, fields like reoder point, safty stock are available but these are not showing up in the data source 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR . How can I bring them in the data source...

Hi Dinesh,
I have the solution for this.
Go to contents of the table ROOSFIELD in SE11, give your data source 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR. These steps are to be done in ECC. There you can find the fields of datasource. Trace for your field safety stock.
Double click on that. you will get the details of that field. In that screen, the selection is shown as A, it means hidden.
You have to change it either P or X in debug mode. Then the required field will be available for your datasource.
Do revert in case of queries.

Transfer structure not active after runing RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

Hi BW Experts,
we are having a migration and just after migration we are finding the the transfer structure is not active. Hence in order to activate the same we ran <b>RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL</b> program but still in the job log finding some problems like <b>0BP_RELTYPES_TEXT</b> is not available in source system. Kindly help in this regard since this is a critical issue and we are not able to run our daily loads because of this.
Can any one also tell me if it is a migration problem?

Hi Sriram,
This is the First time ur loading data from that system, If yes u need to do full extraction steps like transfer data source in RSA5 ..etc.
After that u need to replicate those DS from their respective sources systems in BW.
After doing those all actions, then u need to run the program 'RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL'.
If u have multiple TS to be activated from one source system ---> u can enter Source system name and put * in Info source column after executing the program, it will activate all transfer structures which are linked to that source system at a time.

Hi Siddartha,
Try to activate the transfer structure using Pogram RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL in SE 38. Give the Infosource & Source system name there & then execute.

"Transfer structure is not yet active" in each variant of a process chain

I run a big process chain in test environment that I had never run before, but find almost every variant of the process chain show the red error, when I right click the red color variant, get the msg at the status bar that says "Transfer structure is not yet active". Is there a way that can do the mass activation of all master data attributes?

Problem in populating the new field from the extract structure. Kindly help

my requirement a new text field is added on R/3 side and I have to populate
the same field into BW.
In the R/3 a new customization table 'AAA' is created which will have
code - char 3 and
text - char 30.
The code field is added to a table BBB.
The SAP standard generic data source exracts data from the table BBB where in the new code field have been added.
Now I can the see the code field in the extract structure and not in the data source as the filed has selection value 'A' when checked in the ROOSFIELD table.
To populate the value in BW, I will be creating a Generic Master Data text wherein I fetch the values from the table 'AAA' which the fields code and text and replicate the same in BW.
In the reporting level, the code InfoObject will be selected as display both KEY and TeXT, by doing I can populate the values of TEXT in the reporting.
But to achieve the same I need to add the field code in the ODS but cannot do the same because I am not able to see the field code in the data source.
Kindly let me know how to achieve the same.
Also let me know if there is any alternate solution to populate the text field in BW.

i have created tables (non BO Tables) directly on the SQL-server and want to use recordset to populate a user form matrix.
Is there any workaround to achieve this using non BO tables?

Standard Extract Structure Data to SAPXI

I am looking for some possibility where standard extract structures can be used from R/3 system and they can directly transfer the data to SAP XI system in some way or the another.
This means unlike you replicate the data source in BW System and transfer the data there, I wish to utilize the already present standard extract structure which is delta enabled to transfer (Master Data/ Transaction data to SAP XI) system.
I know there are standard Idoc/RFC and also proxy is a way, but wish to know if we can the standard extract structure to pass data to SAPXI.

The extract structures and the S-API technology in place for transferring data to BI are different from EAI technology. Essentially, the extract structures required extraction, a job to read the data and transfer it; XI expects an inbound message. Thus, you need an "extractor. So to answer your question directly, "no", a direct technique to accomplish a direct R/3 - data exchange that is delta enabled and uses the existing extract structures is not readily available.
Your best bet in this scenario is to utilize the ETL (extraction transformation and load) technology that is already available with your BI system and the S-API, as an intermediary.

Inactive BC extract structure

Hi Gurus,
I am having trouble with some BC datasources in the SRM system .
Whenever I try to access the datasources via RSA6 I get the message "Extract structure is not valid" the long text help then tells me : You have tried to test the extraction of a DataSource with an inactive extraction structure (BBPT_BUS000_BW).
Whenever I try to activate the extract structure via SE11 it tells me : BBPT_BUS000_BW does not exist. Check name.
Did anybody come across this issue before ?

if not first u try to install it and then try to use it from RSA6.

Transport Extract Structure

Hi Guys,
I am unable to Transport the extract structure. I have created a Datamart and want to transport the required extract structure for the same. I am facing Transport failures errors since the extract structure does not include in the Transport.
The datasources and all related objects are included in the Transport but get an error relating to Extract structure.
I see these extract structure is the $TMP package and I am unable to include the same in the Transport.
1) Please let me know how do I include them in the Transport.
2) Would also want to know if we include the dataources in the Transport will that solve the purpose or should we include extract structures explicitly.

This is a Datamart generated and I am facing extract structure error in my Transport after it is imported to the Quality environment. I have Transported the Datasource but the Extract structure for the same is not Transported.
I am aware of the $TMP package, I am unable to change the Package details please help me in which all ways we can try to include the object in the Transport.
I have tried editing the extract structure and also tried changing the Object Directory but unable to include in a Transport.

I have a datasource (080CUSTOMERT) in BI7.0 generated by 'Generate Export DataSource' for 0CUSTOMER Texts. When I tried to transport this into Quality system, I am getting the following error.
Extract structure /BIC/CE80CUSTOMERT is not active
The extract structure /BIC/CE80CUSTOMERT of the DataSource 80CUSTOMERT is invalid
Has anyone faced similar issue and how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

u can try this.
go to ur QA system and do a generate export datasource in the source sytem then replicate the datassource in the target system then try to transport the datasoure with infosource.
