I upgraded to iOS 5.0.1, and now my battery life has really deteriorated since. I was making it thru the day with about 75% left. Now it's only 3:30 pm, andI'm at 50%. Any solutions, yet!

I had the battery problem. I upgraded the to iOS 5.0.1 last night and at least that problem seems to have been fixed. However, the problem with no audio on phone calls remains. Have not tried swapping the SIM card yet. The ATT guy says that they have resolved 90% of the no audio issues with a new SIM card. Not sure athat what has to do with anything but will try that first before requesting a replacement phone.

Problem with the icon "Display query on the web" in Query Designer

Hi Friends,
         I was told by my PM to give them all FI Modules standard business contenet reports, so for that reason i have installed all FI business content & loaded the data in the Dev Server, now i just want to show the reports, but i want excute these reports in Internet Explorer using the Icon "Display Query on the WEB" in query designer, when i click on that it isn't getting displayed in the browser.
         the URL coming like this, "http://itcchqbd:8100/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&INFOCUBE=0FIAA_C11&QUERY=0FIAA_C11_Q0001&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=1"
getting the message in the page, the page can't be displayed,
          How to solve this problem & how do i have to show the standard business content reports to all FI Superiors ?

Balaji,
first check if you have enabled web reporting on your BW server ( there is a how to paper for the same )
another way to check out the same is to find out if there are existing web templates being published which would make the server web ready.
As for FI content - activate the FI relevant areas in Business content and then activate the respective datasources and then load the data.. or go trough the best practices for BW-FI ( service.sap.com/bestpractices) wnd then activate the best practices for the same.

Create a currency coversion type for the exchange rate
Go to RRC1, enter a name for your new currency conversion type
on the exchange rate tab mark the radio button Exchange Rate Type.
enter the exchange rate type there
enter the target curr in the tar curr tab as USD
similarly in the query also enter the curr conversion key.

When you display a query on the web using Query Designer is there a maximum limit of how many records (rows) it can display? For example, can it handle 25 million records?

I still find such a requirement weird as one cannot definitely go thru' so much of data at a time - it would thus always make sense to perhaps filter on some criteria which would make analysis & perhaps even download much faster. The limit as I understand is approx 750,000 data cells. Maybe the below link & SAP notes can help validate

Question about calculation example with Query Designer

Hi guys,
I have to calculate within columns and rows and I am not familiar with the settings in Query Designer that could be done to achieve the results.
For example:
Payments----
Delay -
Weighted Delay
1000USD--10 days--
10000
2000USD--20 days--
40000
3000USD--xxx--
50000 (this is the sum row)
The column marked with the xxx is calculated with the sum of weighted delay divided by the sum of payments (50000 / 3000).
Has anybody an idea how the sum row can be calculated separately?

Assuming you have the Payments Infoobject in the rows and WD Infoobject in the columns; Delay as a formula object.

You may try this workaround of using
NODIM( SUMCT(WEIGH_DELAY) / SUMCT(PAYMENTS) )
on a formula variable. (In this case, the assumption is you have not static type-restricted the rows/cols) If you find any hinderances in the default approach, you may check this out as a formula & insert this at the cell editor level.
If not, use a simple formula variable; here define the replacement path as 0(N) for your Payments. (N being the # of digits)
Use a simple calculation:
SUMGT(WD)/FV
But you may not get an result o/p in the last row, as the values are not linked (sans relation with Payments). as it will return a X for the delay in the Result row.
Pls. let me know know if this works or some sample o/p if the initial assumption was wrong.

I am not sure if I interpreted your question correctly, but are you looking for counting for number of days between two days?
If yes, see if the following example query helps you.
SQL>select to_date('30-Jun-2003') - to_date('30-May-2003') from dual
- this returns 31.
If not, could you please give more details of your requirement with an example?

Grab picture of the day with Spry?

I want to grab the picture of the day from:
nasa APOD site
and make that picture spry-fade in on my web page. Since I
don't know how big the picture will be I need the frame to auto
size or use spry shrink/grow to set pixel size??
Not sure how to proceed.

You can only request AJAX data from the same domain as your
Spry page.
Therefore, you will need to use a server side component to
get the APOD image and then use that for your data source.
You can use their RSS feed to get the URL, but they don't
provide the image height and width, so you will have to make it a
standard size, or let your CSS layout autosize for it.

When installing iTunes and extracting the files with Winrar I get corrupted files and cannot complete the download why is this?

When I dont extract the files and go straight to the installer it says that the download was inturrupted and to try again and it wont work any of the times I try.

Try clearing your browser's cache before downloading again, or try a different browser, or download the installer on a different machine, check it with Winrar or 7-Zip, then put it on a memory stick to take back to your own computer.

How to create a profile to control the access to Query Designer 2004s

Hi all,
I saw the note Note 962530 - NW04s: How to restrict access to Query
Designer 2004s , where in alternative solution there is the approach on
how to create a database table and modify the function module to control the access.
However, we need to a security profile check that can prevent or allow
who can access 04s tools. Because this is easy to maintain and we don't need to modify the database table time to time.
Please update if it is feasible to have a check within the profile
of the users to acces 04s query desinger. This way we can control
effectively who can access new tools.

I can suggest that as this is a Security you might wanna ask the Person who is handling Security in your office.
He can add different Roles which can then control their acess.
For e.g. if you want that your user should be able to run Specific Queries a,b,c,d created by you.
I will suggest interact with SEcurity Personal and ask him to create a Role X.
You can then publish your queries in Role X.
So your users will have acess and security for X and they will then run the queries from them.
Likewise, different other options are also there.
If your queries are on Planning cube then things like giving them acess to Tools should take place similarly in different fashion.
Your user can also use Query desinger and can opne queries from Roles .

How to restrict the attribute values for the user in query designer

I have a requirment where certain user would see certain vailes in the query desiner of the attribute.
The requirment is we have planing material which is attribute of material
When X user want to restrict the values for planning material ,where he is able to see all the planning material.But who is not authorized for all the value.
Ex: X user has authorization for see planning material 100,101,102. of material But when he try to restrict the planning material in query designer where is getting all values of planing material.
Or
is there way to blank the restriction help.so that he can't able to see values while restricting

Let me sum up:
you have an object ZPLNMAT for the planning material
you have the object 0MATERIAL for material and this object has ZPLNMAT as attribute.
If you can restrict in the query designer, I suppose this attribute is then as navigationnal and also added in the multi-provider.
The object ZPLNMAT is checked as relevant for authorization, and you set up a role with the attached values of ZPLNMAT this user should have access to.
Are you sure the users are restricting on the ZPLNMAT object and not 0MATERIAL, because you should have everything now

Date fomat is yy/mm/dd (like 20071231) after your suggestion i have modified query.

but while compiling it is giving error Field "BDTER+4(2)" unknown.
