Extracting .flh from OpenDos Sun supplementary ISO
Hello.
I have a Sun supplementary CD image for upgrading my BIOS for a w2100z workstation. I would like to extract a .flh file from the OpenDos image boot.img on this disk. When I boot the CD, it goes into OpenDos and I can find the file, but I have no way of getting that file otherwise.
I've tried mounting boot.img as -t vfat, -t umsdos in linux, but it is not recognized as a mountable filesystem.
How can I get this file out of boot.img? Is there anywhere else I can get the file?
The BIOS upgrade crashed in the middle and now the machine wont go past POST. I tried resetting the CMOS with the jumpers on the motherboard and removing the battery to no avail. I was trying to get the flash file off the disk so I can give it to a friend who has the tools to flash the CMOS directly.

Paraphrasing the commands:
# lofiadm -a /export/boot.img /dev/lofi/2
# mount -F pcfs -o ro /dev/lofi/2:c /mnt
And the content of boot.img is under /mnt.
I don't understand why a similar mount command wont work in Linux.

Also, when I try a local server URL, the output screen goes blank, which I guess is due to lack of Text on the local URL. So, the little research that I did, made me believe that the code not running on external server was due to firewall on the server side. Please help me run it. Also : I work on a proxy network.( if that has something to do with this).
P.S : Advanced gratitude for any assistance.any decently secured server would reject such a blatant attempt to steal its content.

ODI Scenario fails to extract data from Essbase

Error while extracting data from essbase
Hi All,
Now I'm tring to extract data from essbase by ODI, and at the sametime, I need to do some transformations, such as join with other relational tables or flat files to get more information about metadata. But unfortunately, once I add join into the interface, an error occurs. And it works fine if I extract directly (with no joins).
Is there any other way except using staging table? Our data vloume is large, using staging table will waste lots of storages.

Hi, extract data from xml file and insert into another exiting xml file
i am searching code to extract data from xml file and insert into another exiting xml file by a java program. I understood it is easy to extract data from a xml file, and how ever without creating another xml file. We want to insert the extracted data into another exiting xml file. Suggestions?

Extracting Data from Essbase using ODI fails with: Cannot calculate file.

just specify the name (i.e. FULLEXP) for EXTRACTION_QUERY_FILE. Before creating ODI interface
I ran CalcScript successfully from EAS. Also, ODI and Essbase are on different servers. ODI Agent
is not running on Essbase Server, but ODI Agent has access to file generated by CalcScript.
EPM Fusion Version 11.1.2.2. Essbase running in LINUX and ODI 11g running on Windows Server.
Created the ODI interface where source is my Planning Cube and target is a relational table using SYNOPSIS
MEMORY Engine for staging area. I make it thru the following ODI interface steps OK:
1 - Loading - SrcSet0 - Drop work table
2 - Loading - SrcSet0 - Create work table
3 - Loading - SrcSet0 - Begin Essbase Data Extract.
I then fail at:
4 - Loading - SrcSet0 - Extract Data

I use an reportscript which extract 400 000 records. I think that the problem comes from the staging area. How to modify size of the management of the memory?
I don't have this problem when i extract just 2 000 records for exemple.

Are you using a local or a defined agent?
Are you using the memory engine as the staging area.
Anyway you can increase the memory being used by the JVM depending on the above.

You made the best choice. JRegex is closer to java.util.regex.* and fine works with excellent performance in any JVM version so you can use examples/tutorials from both JRegex and Java.Sun.Com to learn more about regular expression.
About the regular expression in my last post, there are two capturing groups: the first for float numbers in IEEE format specification (also see Java Language Specification) and the second for any sequence of chars, groups using with any amount of blank spaces (spaces, tabs, etc :: see regular expression definition) as delimiter. The anchors "^" and "$" are being used to exactly match pattern in target string and you can relax this constraint as needed.
How to use JRegex? no secrets!

Unable to extract data from an AS/400 system.
Hello experts.
We are trying to extract data from an AS/400 system but not having any success until now.
I´ll write down you the stepts that we have followed until now:
1.- Create a DB Connect between both systems
2.- Create a Source System from AS400 in the workbench under DB Connect Directory
3.- Generate datasources from tebles specified in the schema of the connection

At this point, we had a problem with some tables with at least one fieldname containing character "Ñ".
After asking some possible solutions to SAP, the told us this is not supported, as the system can´t have any object with character "Ñ", so the transfer structure was unable to activate with this fields in the datasource.

4.- After those issues, we´ve decided to implement, in another schema, views from those tables which had the fieldnames with that character "Ñ", changing them to an "N".
5.- We´ve created another source system with that schema, and user than can see that schema.
6.- To be able to see those views, in transaction RSDBC, we had to deactivate the two checkboxes in the first window ( Choose tables and Choose views) .
7.- Right afeter, we could generate correctly the datasources from this logical tables.
8.- We have designed the hole dataflow for this datasources and everithing went rigth.
9.- But wen we tried to execute the infopackage to extract data from those logic tables, we cannot get any registers. Acctualy the charge remains yellow after the job have finished.
Please, I would appreciate any help you could give us on this problem.

JoaquinI´d like ti add something to this thread, and maybe clarify a littel bit the question.
The only way that the BW system recognizes those logical tables, through transaction RSDBC is checking out the two boxes on this transaction, "Select Tables" and "Select Views".
I don´t know haw these logical tables have been created, bus does this mean that the are not neither tables or views as BW understand them.
Please, if someone knows anythin about this, answer to this thread.

Extracting Data from APO PP/DS to BW
Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to extract data from APO PP/DS (SCM 5.1) to BW (BI 7.0). I'm new to SCM and am not sure how the extraction from SCM to BI happens other than that we need to read data from LiveCache.

What key fields should i set in DSO extracting data from 2LIS_02_ITM

i extract data from 2LIS_02_ITM into a DSO, i know the DSO isn't a must, becoz the 2LIS_02_ITM delta type is ABR, but i want to keep the info in change log.
so, what the key fields should i set in the dso? just ebeln and ebelp is enough?
hunger for ur advice and thanks a lot!If you extract ITM toa DSO you cannot maintain a log of every change....the data will come ....but when the data must be activated the reference of the ebelp ebeln will remain only a single record....if you want to maintain all the data you must create another field in extractor with you can difference all the changes for one single ebelp ebeln...
