Extracting music from an ipad

I have been thinking of subscribing to iTunes Match, but wanted to know if I could have all of my music on my iPad Air stored via that service. I had previously stored all of my music on the iPad and sold my laptop computer, so all of my music is only on my iPad in its entirety. I have spoken to a support staff from Apple via chat and they said that the music had to be on a computer. Now I have a desktop that I had never used iTunes on so there is no music on that either. How would one extract all of the music from the ipad to the computer? Syncing it only gives you the option of deleting all if the content on the ipad. So that is not an option. Any ideas?
Thanks!

I'm guessing that using Google is too difficult.  Here, let me get that info for you:  http://www.metaphoriclabs.com/articles/5-ways-to-copy-music-off-your-ipod-window s-mac-os-x/

Load the content in question into iTunes on your PC. Once you have finished...
Connect the iPad to your PC and synch it with iTunes.

  • How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than by one song at a time? I am still on iOS 7.

How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than one song at a time? I would like to delete a few albums.  I am still on iOS 7.

You can either sync the iPhone and iPad to a computer that has your music on it and make sure the U2 album is not on the computer. Or you can delete all of the music from both devices (settings > general > usage > manage storage > music. Then redownload your music from your purchase history on the iTunes store
Also the U2 album is attached to your apple id. To remove it, you will need to go here ---> https://itunes.com/soi-remove

  • How can I transfer music from my iPad to my iPhone without using a computer/iTunes?

Disclaimer:  I am actually asking this for a family member, but I don't have an answer for her either.
My family member has an iPad with music on it currently.  This music is music bought from iTunes and music bought from other sources.
Her computer died a few months ago and she does not intend on replacing it.
She just bought an iPhone and would like to copy the music from her iPad to her new iPhone.
I had originally thought that iTunes Match would work for this, but the Apple Support article regarding iTunes Match (iTunes Store: Subscribing to iTunes Match) suggests that it requires a computer w/ iTunes to do the initial update.
I'm willing to consider approaches from either, Apple or third-party.
If it helps, her iPad and iPhone are both running iOS 7.

    The answer is, "you don't".
Music other than that purchased from the iTunes store had to be synced to the device using iTunes on a computer. The media should still exist on that computer. She can use the computer to sync the music to the new device.
An iPad or iPhone is NOT a backup device. In order to set it up to sync to a new computer were she to replace hers, the media on the device would have to be erased before anything could be synced to it. Media synced to the device can not be synced back to a computer (without purchasing 3rd party software). Without a computer and iTunes, it's not possible to transfer media from one iDevice to another, even with 3rd party software.

One application that's able to accomplish what you want is called Senuti.

I've used it many times to recover music from my iPod to iTunes.

  • How can i stream music from itunes (ipad or MacBookPro) to Apple TV 2nd Gen?

How can i stream (not sync) music from itunes (ipad or mac) to an AppleTV 2nd gen?? thanks..

No, not directly.. but to get the movies onto your iPad you need to sync them on there from your computer running iTunes.. you can likewise sync those same movies from your computer running iTunes to the appleTV..
i create a playlist of all the videos on my iPad (mostly for kids movies they are interested in right now).. so to put those same movies on my appleTV i would just define the sync to appleTV to include that playlist..

  • I have a new laptop and would like to know how to get my music from my ipad to my dell laptop?

I have a new laptop and need to know how to get my downloaded music from my ipad to my new laptop?

    File>Transfer Purchases
You should just copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old computer, to the new one.

  • Is there any way to get itunes music from my ipad to my ipod without a computer and only 4g?

Lets say you have an ipad (a new one) and an ipod.  Thats all you have.  The ipad has 4g.  You can have access to other small hardware devices like cables and stuff but no other computer like device and no wifi internet.
Is it possible to get itunes music from the ipad and onto the ipod with just this?

Would those work if I am using the 4g wifi hotspot on the ipad to get the music onto an ipod touch?  I am willing to give up third party music if this would work. Just not sure if it would work since the 4g wifi has that 50mb restriction

Possibly nobody has answered this in 10 hours because your question is not clear.  Accept?  What exactly are you trying to do?
    Do you mean authorize?

  • HT2688 My daughter has used my computer to log into iTunes and download music but now it won't let me download recently purchased music from my iPad onto my computer. I want to transfer the recently purchased songs onto my iPod so how can I do this now.

My daughter has used my computer to log into iTunes and download music but now it won't let me download recently purchased music from my iPad onto my computer. I want to transfer the recently purchased songs onto my iPod so how can I do this now? iTunes now says that I have to wait another 55 days! There must be a way to do this since I have paid for them.

In iTunes sign out of your daughters Apple ID and sign in with your own.

  • My computer crashed hard drive was replaced and now I have lost my music.  Am trying to sync with my music from my iPad and iPhone but it is not working what is the problem

I need help please!  My computer crashed lost all data including my music.  Want to sync music from my ipad and/or iphone but it is not working.  What could be the problem how do I tackle it?

Syncing only works from your computer to your iPad/iPhone, not the other way around.  So you can only transfer your purchased music from the iPhone to your computer.
    See this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
My computer crashed lost all data including my music.
How bad was the crash? Had the drive to be replaced? Or is there a possibility to use data recovery software on that drive?
