Hi Priya,
To avoid the complexity of converting XML's to Idocs without XI or ABAP programming you can easily go for the LSMW uploading.
I know your company does not want to use the LSMW process.However if you are trying with the XML ports for the XML to Idoc convertion it will further involve extensive coding and complexities.
On the other hand you can extract MDM data in simple Excel format and then use LSMW with simple mappings and conversion to upload this master data in ECC without much difficulty.
As to work with the MDM and ECC system data transfer avoiding both XI and Lsmw as the data transfer tools will make your scenario more complex and error prone with ofcourse the extra time factor involved.

Sorry, I don't understand what exactly you want to do. And I'm under the impression that you might not know exactly what you want to do as well. Could you explain a bit more detailed what you want to achieve?

Data extraction from SD and MM modules

Hello people,
I want to know what are all the ways by which we can extract data from SD and MM modules including LO LiS cockpit, like how easy or difficult it will be using LO, can we extract this data using business content, creating two background users in BW and R/3 systems and using logical and client systems for extraction. what would be the simplest way to extract this data?

thanks for your time. Is LO or LIS cockpit the only way to extract data from SD and MM modules ? are there any other ways and if business content can be used in those ways, please let me know. Also, tell me if these steps would work in extracting data from SD and MM modules:
1. creating a logical system for the R/3 client
2. creating a logical system for the BW client
3. Naming background users
4. Creating R/3 source system in BW
5. transferring R/3 global settings
6. replicating R/3 data sources.
7. Installing business content objects and then loading R/3 data.

How do I save a still that I have extracted from iMovie and save it to iPhoto?

I'm trying to save a still that I have extracted from imovie. So far, all I can see is that it can be saved in the imovie project. I need to save it to iphoto. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Lion and have aperture too.

Imovie 11? It isn't that easy. You could navigate to the movie event, drag that into Streamclip, and use MPeg streamclip to make a still from the movie. The freeze frame isn't a photo you can get out of imovie, as far as I know.

Ho to automate data extraction from KSB1 and GR55 transaction code

Hi All,
Can you please let me know if their is a way to automate data extraction from transaction code KSB1 and GR55. I have to extract data from 5 different servers .i.e different server for each region and again i have different controlling area codes in each region. Following are the details which i use to extract the data. It takes too long for me to extract data from all this regions and controlling area codes using my parameters. It's very time consuming so i want to automate this process. I am end user so i don't have any admin rights. Please let me know any workable solution asap.
Production areas : PNA for Americas, PSI for Asia Pacific and Japan, PGY for Germany, PIT for Italy and PEU for Europe
Controlling area codes in PNA : CAR for Argentina, CBR for Brazil, CMX for Mexico and CUS for USA. Same way there so may other controlling area codes for all other production areas

SAP GUI (client) for Windows enable
Start SAP Logon and log on to the SAP server.
Click the button on the toolbar to adjust for Local Layout.
Click Options and then click the tab for the scripting.
Select the Enable checkbox for scripting.
Disable the checkbox for Notify when a script is assigned to an active GUI and the checkbox for Notify when a script opens a connection.
Save the settings and restart the SAP GUI again.
SAP-server enable
With the following procedure, you can enable scripting by the SAP client temporarily. The specified value in this way is lost when you restart the server.
Start SAP Logon and log on to the SAP server.
Start a transaction RZ11.
Enter sapgui / user_scripting in the window to manage the profile parameters.
Click on ads.
Click in the window to display the profile parameter attributes to change value.
Enter TRUE in the field for a new value.
Save the settings and log out from the SAP GUI.
Quit the SAP Logon.
Note:
If the server administrator edited the application server profile of the SAP system to sapgui / user_scripting = TRUE to include the scripting is enabled when you restart the server by default.
SAP provides an option to change the network connection mode at any server. The following two connection modes are available: high-speed connection (LAN) and connecting with a slow speed. Although Functional Tester works in both modes, the high-speed connection with a recorded script is played only in this mode. This also applies to other modes. What can I extract from PS7, and should I?

I have an older mac which runs PS7, It's old and slow like me but I've read that its possible to extract stuff from the guts of the programme and save it to PE8 which I'm using on a newer faster upgraded macbook, which can't run PS7. What can I use, I'm immediately thinking of Actions, and should I do anything of the sort. Pointers to books or advice gladly accepted.

I was using PS7 on an old iMac when I started building my brush set, and I learned to make custom shapes.
Since then I've learned to make gradients, and have built a collection of 1200 brushes, shapes and gradients combined. I also have a font library of nearly 5,000, and all of this stuff is on a DVD-R that I've used to move my "personal set" from the iMac to a G5 iMac (CS2 & CS3), three PCs (CS2, CS3 & CS4), a MacMini (CS3, then back to CS2), and most recently my new MacBook (CS4).
I don't know about "deterioration" of these items as much as something in the files themselves that is simply no longer compatible as PS or PSE goes from one build to another.
It's not even apparent until I go to use a brush (or set) and get an error message. I have to delete it then. It doesn't happen so often with shapes or gradients, but I've seen a shape or two that simply won't work with CS4 where it did with CS3. I have three PCs running XP and CS3 and they all work fine. On Vista or OS 10.6 and CS4 they don't. Same applies to PSE6 and PSE8. Some styles, actions and shapes that work in PSE6 don't in PSE8.
I've not been able to find any rhyme or reason as to what causes it. I think it's just changes in the code when applications are upgraded.
I have found dozens of sites where people have created their own actions and put them up for others to download though.
My advice would be to pull what you feel you will need from PS7 and put it on a CD-R or DVD-r, or flash drive and once you have CS4 running on the Mac, copy it all into the right folders. Then, using PSE will show you which itms are compatible or not. They don't "break" the application, but you will get an error that "The (acton/brush/shape/etc.) couldn't be loaded due to a Program Error". When you see that, you'll know the particular item is not compatible. PSE will still run, it just won't use that item.

Have you received your technical specs?
if yes then please read them and find the required data sources.
Number of data sources is not the main important. But we need to get all fields into bw side(targets) as per your needs.
First find the existing data sources based on your tables - too1,tvakt,vbkd,knvI,VBKD,KONP.
After that cors check what fields you want as per needs and later do the test at RSA3 for standard or cusotm data sources.
Late implement bw data flow at bw side.
T001 - is company code table. so you can use comp code master data sources to load data into bw side.
TVAK - its sales doc type table. so you can explore LO Data sources which name starts with 2LIS_11*
About tables and relations - please check with ABAP TEeam or functional team. You my get more help about them.

Steps for Extracting data from CRM:
Configuration Steps
1.Click on ->Assign Dialog RFC destination
If your default RFC destination is not a dialog RFC destination, you need to create an additional dialog RFC destination in addition and then assign it to your default RFC destination
2.Execute Transaction SBIW in CRM
3.Open BC DataSources.
4.Click on Transfer Application Component Hierarchy
Application Component hierarchy is transferred.
5.SPRO in CRM .Go to CRM->CRM Analytics
6.Go to transaction SBIW-> Settings for Application specific Data Source ->Settings for BW adapter
7.Click on Activate BW Adapter Metadata
Select the relevant data sources for CRM sales
8.Click on Copy data sources
Say yes and proceed
9.Logon to BW system and execute transaction RSA1.
Create a source system to establish connectivity with CRM Server
A source system is created. (LSYSCRM200)(Prerequisites: Both BW and CRM should have defined Back ground, RFC users and logical systems)
10.Business content activation for CRM sales area is done
11.Click on source system and choose replicate datasources.

Subtitles, extracting from old, and importing and adding another to a new dvd

I need to add spanish subtitles, in addition to the already existing English subtitles, to a redited timeline. The English subtitles are made in DVD Studio Pro. I have read the DVD Studio Por manual. I DO NOT find the answers I need in there. I have done the Apple DVD SP Training Series. That does not even come remotely close to answering these questions. I tried extracting them with DVDSP Subpick, it says Wrong Code. I tried Subtitle Xtractor and it does not open item in item description, reporting only "Error while loading file: Error in Line 1 Error in NODe". Though it says one can open just the subtitle stream, I dont see any directions to tell one how to open just the subtitle stream either. I tried Text Up 2-1 and it says "file error wrong type" .
I cannot fins assets timecode as it says to do iin the manual. I foloow the directions, right click on the timeline but it does not show me any shortcut menu with assets code on it. I cannot find any directions as to how to save teh subtitles to STL, or txt for that matter. I cannot tell how I have saved this DVDSP subtitle stream, and I have already burned the dvd. I need to add spanish subtitles and I would love to not have to start over from scratch, but so far, it looks like I will have to do that. I am pressed for time. Any help from anyone?

There is no method of exporting a subtitle stream to a STL file from a DVD Studio Pro project file.
You can export the stream as a DVD Studio Pro asset and import it into another project; however, you would have to manually replace the English with corresponding Spanish. Furthermore, you are likely to find that the Spanish subtitles do not correspond card for card with the English due to inherent differences in the languages.
Ideally, you would have acces to the English STL document or, better yet, a translation spreadsheet (if one existed in the first place) that you could reformat for import into DVDSP.

for FI and HR their are standard delta enabled Data Sources.
Like for FI ....0FI_GL_4, 0FI_AP_4..
u don't have to follow any steps just schedule data for init, and it will pick delta after that automatically.

DATA EXTRACTION FROM ORACLE & SYBASE

Good day. This is my first posting in this site. I am new to Oracle and have a question regarding Data extraction from Oracle and Sybase.
My project has two applications one having Oracle as the database and the other has Sybase as the database. On the proposed production schedule, there would be a interface data update from the Oracle database to the Sybase database.
My aim is to check if the data update is in sync after the update. We plan to extract the data from the two databases (Oracle and Sybase) and compare in a Third Party tool. We have the tool to compare. Can any of you suggest a nice data extraction tool. I have to set this data extraction as a batch in the nightly batch schedule.

Sybase provides the best data extraction utility called BCP. You can load and extract data. It is very user friendly. From your unix prompt if you type in BCP ? you will all the switches and
help messages you need to use. It is so simple.
Oracle dosn't have such a utility to extract data from table.
You need to write a Stored procedure and use UTF_FILE package to
extract data from table and write into a file.

Generic Extraction - query view and infoset query difference

Hi Guys,
I want to know the Generic datasource difference between Extraction from view and Extraction from Query .I have read some threads and documents, still i am not getting the exact difference.
My understanding :
Views: combination of tables to view the end result , we use views.
Infoset query also with help of SQ01, 02, 03 : we combine tables to see the result.
both use primary key to select the data.
Please help me.

When we build the datasource on the View
View is basically a table in which you can take data from many table combniation .
in view you can specify the table join condtion and selection condtion
View data gets updated as the data in the source table gets updated
When we build the datasource on the Infoset
Data source str gets filled from the infoset query .you need to use SQ01 and Sq02 transaction for this
in infoset you can define the tables from which you want to read the date .There is also facilty to write ABAP code which will process the data and fill the the data source str using infoset query
infoset query read the data from infoset and transfer to data structure
