Extraction Object for Article Master

Hi,
Can anybody tell me if there are any standard Extraction Object name available for Article Master Data?
or Should I need to create it?
Pls provide the links related to this...

Hi,
As per my understanding you need to use the same MDM_CLNT_EXTR because in this we have to pass the Extraction Object and there you can select the desired object to be extracted whether it is material, article etc.

Hello,
What is the difference between below configuration settings:
1. Logistics general --> Basic data retail --> General control, retail master data --> tab Control parameters for article master --> field 'vendor default data'
2. Logistics general --> Business Partner --> Vendor --> controls --> Define account groups --> go to details --> tab default values
Are these settings intended for same purpose ( e.g. copy default data from vendor master to article master) ?

Copying of Data from the Vendor Master to Purchasing Data
All changes that you make to the reference data in the vendor master record are copied to the purchasing data in the article master record if the system is configured accordingly in Customizing for Business Partners in Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Vendors.
Copying of Data from the Vendor Master to Logistics Data
The changes are also copied to the site-specific logistics data if the vendor is either the sole vendor or the regular vendor and if the system is configured accordingly in Customizing for Logistics Basic Data: Retail in General Control, Retail Master Data. For more information, see Vendors: Copying Changes to Other Data Records.

How to Generate an Outbound IDOC for Article Master in WPMA Tcode without maintaing Price for the Article. Please suggest Is it Possible in IS-Retail. If so, what needs to be Done.

In patner profile of outbound, Assign WP_PLU01 instead WP_PLU03..

IDOC type for Article Master : IS Retail

Hi all,
I am new to ALE/ IDOC and working in a scenario to create article master in SAP from third party application. The client is using IS Retail system with ECC 6.0. Can you please suggest what IDOC type to be used. The IDOC will be sent to SAP system from the third-party application. The IDOC can then be processed to create article master. Is ARTMAS the right message type for it? Somebody also suggested using message type WP_PLU. Can someone please let me know what is the difference between them?

WE_PLU is generally used along with the POS interface.

This is basically your call depending on what data the message type is intended to carry and the use. ARTMAS should be the choice in your case.

Problem extracting fields for customer master data upload

Hello,
I have a list of fields that I need to extract into a file to be used in a customer master upload. I am having a problem with two fields. they are MOB_NUMBER in SZA1_D0100 and KTONR in RF02D. I am not sure how to retrieve these fields. I do not know if there are FM's that will retrieve the data for me or not. if anyone knows if there are FM's or another way to retrieve this data, can you please let me know.

Hi,
I need to add Purchasing Organization (EINE-EKORG) and Purchasing Group (EINE-EKGRP) to the artcile for search help. It has tab article by merchandise category which has merchandise category, article description , language and artcile.To this tab along with these purchasing organisation and purchasing group need to be added. so If there is any screen exit avialable please provide me. and if you have code also please provide that will be a great help. TCode(ME21N,ME22N and ME23N).

Adding Matcode Id is correct...You can add this matchcode ID in the selection screen.
Also before adding the Matchcode ID ...You may need to write a select query with the condition to populate the data into that view.
Ex :
select single vbeln
           from vbak
                   into table t_matchcode
                   where vbak = xyz "give any condition which you wish to extract the data.
Suppose Matchcode Id is ZTA.
Select-options : s_vbeln for vbak-vbeln matcode id ZTA
So that it will display the Serach help with all the details.

LSMW change article master data

Dear All,
As I am new in Retail, i need to know detail steps how to perform LSWM (IDOC method) to change material master (MM42)
providing that needed fields are article code - vendor - purchase organization .. and the field to be changed is tax code located in purchasing view.
Or there is another method to mass change for these materials.

You have multiple options of how to create an LSMW project to maintain Article Master data within SAP.
You can use the IDOC method using message type ARTMAS Basic Type ARTMAS05, you can use standard input or direct input with object 020 Article Master Method 0000 - program RMDATIND and even BAPI with BUS1001001 Retail article
What you will need to do is work through each of the process steps within after defining the object attributes which include defining the source structure and fields (i.e. you flag file structure) and mapping the source structure fields to the target structure (I.E. IDoc fields) and then specifying the location of the flat file.

I have tried ur scenario. Mass change for service master was possible using the TCode: MASS. But if u go to the Tcode:MASS, system asks object type. object type for service is not available in the match code/input help(F4).
At any time, if u want to know the object type for any transaction , goto the Tcode: SW02.(path: SAP Easy access: SAP Menu->tools-> ABAP work bench->overview->business object overview( SW02).
click on materials mgmt.-> external services mgmt.-> service master ( in the tree list).
Object type for service master: BUS1005
this business object is useful for list display for service master records(get list), read detail data for a service master record, create& change service, display object, check existance of object.
object type for attributes in service master: IFSAP
reference table: ASMD
goto SW02, to find object type for any transaction.

You can attach the document manually in transaction MM01 and MM02 by creating attachment thru Services for object submenu in System menu.

(1) How we define number range for each artilcle type?
(2) How we define attributes of article type?
(3)How we assign fields to field selection group?
(4)How we maintain fields selection for data screen?
(5) How we assign screen sequence to user/article type/transaction/industry sector?
(6)How we find what is the field selection group for fields in (as basic view) all views.
